Just look at her! Xylon shook his head as Gold came back, arrayed with trays, spatulas and God-knows-what-else.
"You're losing your fashion sense," he said, smirking slightly because he knew that could very well annoy her. He didn't mean to bother her, it was like it was natural for him to say stuff that annoyed her.
"What are you going to do now?" He asked. "Name everything else you've chosen as your 'armour'?"
But he needed some armour too. Not because he wanted it but because he was here and that seemed like the best thing to do. It would also give him something to focus on. Anything that he could focus on was welcome. It ensured that he did not have to think of Rae unncessarily.
Xylon attached a cutting board to his chest to protect his ribs. Then he used a sheet for his back and picked up a large spoon in favour of the old much smaller one he had been messing around with without any real aim. That, he placed in a half-empty drawer.
"I look way better than you."
Smirrrkk.
Pfft. Imagine Xylon Saar trying to teach her fashion sense. "At least I have some," Gold said dryly. "You didn't have any, to begin with."
Hey, he had asked for it!
She crossed her arms, then, when he asked what she was going to do. It wasn't his problem, to be honest. But his idea was actually a good one. "I actually like that," Gold grinned. "I can name this cookie sheet Stormbringer, and the other one Zar'roc."
There.
She raised an eyebrow, when he returned. "I see you've dressed up," Gold said, attempting to smirk and failing miserably at it. Ugh. Why had she even tried? She couldn't smirk, to save a life. Or maybe something as big as that - saving a life - would enable her to smirk.
But nothing less!

She looked around the classroom in search if students she knew, but ... ohh.. there was Xylon, that friendly old guy from her house that helped her out in Defense against the Dark arts. Being small and a first year she had to push her way between the older ones to collect herself a helmet first, she didn't care what happened to her body as long as her head was protected! Then she was stuck on the body parts... so she watched the older kids in hopes if learning on what to put what where...
Gold noticed a small, and quite adorable, first year. The little dear looked like she was not exactly sure, of what to do. Or Gold could be misreading, she tended to do that a lot, these days.
"Need some help?" she asked cheerfully, making her way over to the firstie, and picking up another frying pan on the way. Not that she wanted to keep it, but it had been lying on the ground, so Gold had picked it up. She didn't want anyone to trip over it, or anything.

Patroclus could easily admit, he was getting quite carried away with this lesson so far.
Mina had to laugh about their appearance. They did look rather silly, but she was fine with it. Beside, she was rather amused and having fun with Patroclus. It was nice to laugh and smile with someone again. Reaching for a copper beating bowl, she placed it on her head and slightly turned to the side, modelling it for him. Glancing around, she smiled and bit her lip. Turning back to him, she smiled innocently. "Well, we don't that paint that I see, but what about frosting?"

Finally deciding just in case, Evelyn pushed away everything she had already gotten out and went on a search to find new stuff.
Finding a few cookie sheets, she picked to of those up and set them on the counter first before glancing at Marie. Attached? To whom? Destiny? And why was she holding up her hand?
Frowning, she slowly turned back to what she was doing, finding a strainer which she put on her head so she wouldn't have to carry it, and then finding particularly useful ladle that would definitely be useful.
Smiling, the Slytherin moved back to her cookie sheets, looking around only to see what everyone else was doing...before her eyes landed on what Marie was holding up. Uhhh...
Cautiously, she moved towards Destiny, carrying her cookie sheets and ladle, and tapped her on the shoulder. "Let's move...to the other side of the room." she said before grabbing her friends and pulling her to safety.

"FROSTING! GENIUS!" Patroclus cried, grabbing Mina by the wrist and dragging her to the cupboard, "What colour are will thinking for team PatrocoMina? Perhaps a white? We can look like icy ghouls!" The colour choices were endless!

Pouting at Evelyn, since she did not want to bang their heads together, Destiny started rummaging through all the other kitchen supplies. Everyone else was all dubbed out in their 'war gear' and she only had a helmet and shield!
Gah! She turned around at the sound of Marie's voice, and seeing that her hand was raised, Destiny pulled on the rope. "How can I forget Marie? Your annoying voice reminds me ALL day long!" Smirking, she turned back towards the kitchen supplies. Finding a whisk, she picked it up, gave it a little shake and watched the top piece move all around. Heehee.
Who would have thought getting ready for battle would be so much fun!? Still watching the whisk, she hardly heard Evelyn tell her to move until..she was being pulled away. A small "Gahhhh!" escaped her mouth as her arm was almost RIPPED out from being pulled. "I'm stuck to her, Evelyn!" she said, and wrapping the invisible rope around her wrist again, she gave it a tug pulling Marie along with them.
At least Marie was protected if she fell.

And elbows. ESPECIALLY elbows.
Yep.
"I guess it's okay if she didn't allow that" Abbi nodded then smiled genuinely at the older student, "yes please" she really did need the help. She had no clue what to expect from a battle, let a lone battle with magic in it. "I found a pot about the size of my head.. ohhh" she nodded at the metal sheet Gold was looking at, "that will do" she nodded some more.

"That will do for a helmet," Gold agreed. She looked down at the cookie sheet, in her hands. "You can use this to protect your ribs. You'll have to fix it to yourself so that the turned edges protrude outside." She placed it over her own cookie-sheet, to show what she meant.
"I could do the charm-work for you, but it would be awesome if you learned and did it yourself," Gold said, cheerfully. She was a firm believer of the statement that it is better to teach one how to do something, than to do it for them. "That way, you can do it yourself, next time you need to. The charm is actually pretty easy. I'll show you." She placed the cookie sheet on top of the one she had already attached to herself, and tapped that with her wand.
"Fixate."
The cookie sheet attached itself to the one beneath. Gold used her wand to remove it, then, and offered it to Abbi. "Do you think you can give the charm a try and attach the cookie sheet, now?" She asked, pleasantly.

Jeez, she didn't pull her friend THAT hard. What was with the dramatics?
What did make her pause in her step however was what Destiny said afterward. Stuck to who!? Frowning and looking back over Destiny's shoulder, Evelyn saw Marie stumble slightly before...
Destiny was being tugged back over to the Slytherin and Gryffindor. And since Evelyn was hanging on Destiny, she was tugged along with her. Eep!
"What?" she said, regaining her balance. Letting go of her friend slightly, the Slytherin scoffed and tried to find what was holding them together. Pfft. What in the world was this? And who connected the two?
Snickering slightly, looking from Marie to Destiny...and then to Carter... Evelyn shook her head and moved back to stand behind Destiny. "You're stuck..with those two?" she muttered quietly, finding this allllll very amusing and slightly creepy at the same time.
Her poor friend. Stuck being around Carter for periods longer then 5 seconds. She deserved a BIG gift or something of the sort.

"Okay, but if it's anything like calling that broom it won't work" Abbi nodded willing to attempt, but it wasn't that, it was that none of the spells worked with her, except for the one in Transfiguration and she didn't know why. So She watched Gold studiously as she fixated the sheet with that spell to her body, but the screaming Slytherin nearby was definitely distracting her.
She nodded to Gold when she passed the metal sheet to her and slowly applied it around her body keeping edges protruding to the outside then pulled her wand out, by lifting one knee up and pulling it out of her sock, and attempted at the charm like the way Gold demonstrated earlier.
"Fixate". Nothing Happened.
"Fixate", nothing happened again, she sighed.
"Fixate Fixate Fixate Fixate Fixate Fixate-" Abbi gasped when the sheet clung to her upper body and tried to breath, "is-it-suppose-tobe-so-ti-ght?"

Oh Merlin.
By the time this class was over, Destiny was going to be missing an arm. She just knew it. What did it look like she was doing? She was being pulled in all different directions. Looking over her shoulder at Marie, she cringed at the thing that was being pointed at her. "What the hell is that thing!?" she asked. She didn't really care what it was, but if she was going to be poked with something, she wanted to know what she is being poked with. And, you know, when she tells on Marie all her facts would be right.
Destiny ignored Marie when she said she was busy. Yeah, busy snogging Carter. Wait until she tells Lawson about that. So what they haven't snogged yet, Destiny was good at lying. "Yeah, we are stuck together. If she wasn't snogging Carter all the time we wouldn't be in this mess. It's all her fault!" she grabbed a pair of tongs from a nearby counter and opened and closed them in Marie's direction. How would it feel to get your nose stuck in one of these!?
Rubbing her shoulder, since her arm was almost ripped out a few times already, she leaned against the counter. Heh. Look at everyone wearing pots on their heads. Well, Destiny didn't want to look like everyone else. Taking the pot off her head, she placed it on the counter and put a funnel on her head instead. There.
That was better.

"Not everyone is born with an affinity for Quidditch," Gold said, lightly. "We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Of course, you've only just started to learn. You never know, you might turn out to be extraordinary at the sport. One can hardly ever be certain, this early."
She watched Abbi give the spell a few tries, and not succeed. There was nothing wrong with that. The good thing was that the first year was trying and, right now, that was pretty much all that mattered. "Finite Incantatem," Gold said, to nullify the effects of Abbi's spell, the moment she saw that the cookie sheet had attached itself, too firmly.
Her spell would cause it to come off, at once.
"The things with charms is," she said, gently. "That they depend as much on intentions, as they do on wand-work. If you concentrate on attaching something loosely, you can get that. If you concentrate on attaching something very firmly, you can get that, too. I think you were extremely focused on trying to get the cookie sheet to attach itself, and it ended up doing precisely that. Give it another try, and focus on exactly how you want the cookie sheet to attach itself - comfortably. You have the hang of the spell now, so it should be pretty perfect, this time."

Abbi bent forward and breathed in deeply once Gold removed the sheet off her, "Thank you" she heaved hen shook her head, "I don't think Quidditch is in the picture at all at this point" she pouted then nodded at her again. That hurt slightly, she didn't want to try it again, can't Gold put on her?
"Okaay" she answered her Prefect notifying she understood her explanation, still it wasn't easy for her. "I'll try" she pointed her wand and focused with her mind to make the sheet comfortable, as Gold said, and for good measures a couple of times then tried the spell again, something touched her so she opened her eyes and peaked down at herself, then grinned. "I DID IT!" she giggled bouncing on her toes. "I Did it!! Is it right? Does it look right to you?"
Ok this was getting weirder by the second.
"Oh well..." she got a pot big enough to fit on her head and threw it on. Grabbing a lid and a wooden spoon she looked at her reflection.
"Total idiot looking girl.." she laughed at herself. This was actually fun..

Gold's green eyes flickered in clear concern, when Abbi breathed rather deeply. "You're alright, aren't you?" She asked, gently. She didn't want Abbi to get hurt. She might as well attach the cookie-sheet herself, if that was the case. Learning isn't more important than a person. Speaking, of course, on an average basis, there.
She beamed, however, when Abbi decided to give the spell another shot, and managed to carry it out perfectly. "It looks perfect," she beamed. "Try another cookie-sheet, if you want to?" She picked up another. For the back. Unless Abbi didn't want any 'armour' there. "Or spatulas to protect your fore-arms?" She grinned a bit, as she held out her own hands, to show how her fore-arms had spatulas attached to them.

Trixie looked around at everyone in the room. Well there was no sign of Ella and she was pretty much the only person at the moment who knew the actual truth. So the girl stood alone. Which once again depressed her even more. She was never getting most of her memory back and well..... She wasn't going to put the pot on her head. No way. She was brain damaged enough thank you. She didn't want to end up in the observation ward again thank you. Being unconscious for a day, after being stupefied and smacking her head against the wall was enough thank you! But she watched as everyone else did, even if it was only for amusement.
Lainey climbed up on the counter to stand. "AHEM." Got their attention? Yes? Everyone was looking at the crazy lady that had just stuffed muffin cups down her pants for padding? Yes?
Good.
Very good.
"OKAY - few things. One, YES, please do use magic to stick your armor to your body. If you're a newbie baby firstie - have an old person help you. If you're a oldie but have a crusty forgetful brain - then ask a newbie. Either way - everyone helps everyone prepare for battle."
...
"Well unless you're Slytherin. THen I suppose you might want to prepare... cause the people in this room will be the people you're battling... .so well, no sabotaging! It's all for funsies!"
Until someone got hurt. But that's what armor was for.... SO.
Do-Ra-Mi-Fa-SOOOOOOOOOOo.
"I'll give you a few more minutes to suit up. I heard paint... you can paint." HAHA take THAT house elves! HAHAHA. Clean THAT up, you treacherous little beasts!!
ooc: Errrm. Sorry, but I think I might be away ... until tomorrow. Apologies, apologies. BUT do keep playing! Just be aware that Lainey is standing THERE, LOOKING at YOU ALL. So if you do something BAD... she'll eat your brain on a stick. Do have fun, play, suit up, speculate. Then we'll continue on tomorrow with the BATTLE SCENE. =D
Mina let another giggle escape her lips as Patroclus dragged her to the cupboard. "I like the idea of white, but maybe some red and blue as well. Team Gryffinclaw-ques." Yes, she was definitely happy to have Patroclus there with her at the moment. What would she have done if he wasn't there to keep her smiling and laughing? The lesson wouldn't have been all that entertain, she knew it.
"I love it!" cried Patroclus, and with Mina's colour suggestions off he went! Going crazying with the various frosting tubes. Now it was time for the grand reveal! "TA DA! What do you think??"

Carter watched the Slytherin girls argue and pull on each other. Professor Lawson owed him much more than an apology for what he was putting Carter through. Grabbing two cookie sheets he attached one to his front and one to his back. "What else do you think we could use?" he asked after things seemed to die down. He grabbed a wooden spoon and swung it a few times. That would work nicely.

Emma saw her cousin and ran over to her. She gave her a quick hug and picked up a pot. She mouthed, "Hi! For Protection!" She smiled.

Trixie smiled weakly as she saw her cousin. "Erm, I don't think that I am going to join in Emma" she sighed. "I don't want to get any more hurt then I already am" she sighed even heavier this time but hugged her little cousin back. And her head still hurt anyway from the impact she had upon her head when she hit the brick wall.
