Selena was confused, Eh. Obi what? And Skywalker? What was this alternate universe? She shrugged. Perhaps the professor would get distracted... Selena did qant some sweets. She let her hand creep to her bag and pulled out a new bag of skittles. Hahaha, It was practically begging her to eat it... Or maybe she should eat the big bag of jellybeans... Selena opened the bag of skittles and popped some in her mouth. It must've been a movie they were talking about. See. Candy helped her think.

Alexandrie looked at the two people disagreeing, over something she had no clue about. Was it something from that muggle thing called a TD?..TS? Teevee? Whatever, Alex didn't really care but they were distracting the class but decided to wait until one of the prefects or Professor intervened.

Ohh...that girl with the red hair. She was talking to him. He peeked out from behind the Head Boy, checking to make sure no eyebrows were wagging at him this time. He shook his head. "No way man the Battle of Gondor was totally better. I mean Legalos was the man. He killed like a million of those Orks." he pointed out to her. Like girls knew anything about wars.

He shook his head again. "Oh come on Obi Won was a way better swordsman than Luke. I mean his own dad cut his hand off. Hopw good are you if you get your hand cut off?" Plus he really hated the original Star Wars movies. They were confusing and so boring.

Oliver raised an eyebrow at Digzy. Pfft.. Luke lost a hand, so what? Look what happened to Anakin in the end.

But this was no place to get into a heated debate about Star Wars... as much as Oliver wanted to so he kept his gob shut. heh.

1. Her class had a pretty good grasp on battles.

1a. Which was an excellent thing because Lainey didn't want to stand around with a pot on her head and explain and lecture when they had MUCH more important things to DO.

2. Nerds. She had a class full of nerds and... none of them were Ravenclaws. Errrr.


"Well..... as much as I love a good debate about nerdy things.... you all need to learn, and I need to teach. Perhaps Gandalf and Vader can be visited at the end of class." Or middle. Whatever. Something.

"The point of this lesson... I'm sorry. I'm just too excited to get to right now. Maybe you all will get it BEFORE I tell you and it'll mean more to you in the end. So. Without further ado....Everyone stand UP. Hold hands if you're afraid. And follow ME!!! We're off to BATTLE!!!!!!!"


Lainey MARCHED right out of her classroom and down to the kitchens.

Alex followed the Professor wondering for her sanity. and did the Professor call them nerds?

They... were going to the kitchens? Kellen shrugged and followed after the professor, wondering what exactly they were going to battle down there.

Hermione was a little curious what they would be battling. This was History Of Magic after all and not Defense Against The Dark Arts. Hermione followed the professor into the kitchens.

So, they were going to the kitchen to... battle? And put pots on their heads? This professor really was crazy. Whatever though, it was getting them out of the classroom... and now Marie had an excuse to hold Carter's hand... in class even. Yep, she could pretend to be scared.

Standing up she pulled on that stupid rope to make Destiny get up too. "Come on Destiny, we're leaving now." she said as she cursed Lawson in her head for stcking her with this curse. She then went over to Carter and grabbed his hand. "Will you protect me... again?" she whispered to him. Not that she felt she really needed protecting, she just wanted to be with him and well if she had to act scared, then scared she was... for now.

Aww. What a cutie-pie. Gold shrugged, not at all inclined to get into an argument over something as opinion-centered as this - it was, after all, only a bunch of opinions that they were relaying, here. No solid facts, except perhaps for the names of the battles.

Gold skipped out of the classroom, right after Professor Lainey. She wasn't scared, but she was definitely excited.

Kitchens? Battle? What?

Ellie shrugged and followed the teacher. Humming, 'follow the leader' in her head...

This class was a whirled experience, Patroclus laughed to himself, The Professor was zipping around like no tomorrow, the others were bickering over Luke and Gandalf, as well as Vader and Legolas........ oppps!
THE MADNESS IS INFECTIOUS!

Then !!poof!! the Professor was gone, and then so was Patroclus, off on his way to the kitchens!

what a beginning.

Sidney watches Professor Lainey from the front of the classroom. Her Uncle Connor had told her all about Lainey. She was a decorated auror who was killed during a botched raid along with another auror named Alexander Rae. Angelica Lainey is sort of a hero to Sidney's uncles. Several of her previous cases had been used in training exercises at the Australian Auror Training camp. What her uncle could not explain to Sidney was how someone who was last reported to be a ghost had managed to become a human again. Sidney has been meaning to visit Professor Lainey, but with all the hoopla over Professor Lefay setting the students in potion class on fire... Well, Sidney hasn't found the time to do so.

She now watches Professor Lainey pacing around the class wearing a dutch oven on her head and spouting about battles and Gandalf and Vader visiting them during class (I wonder who they are. Figments of Professor Lainey's imagination?). Sidney's not too sure she's any safer in here than she was in Potions Class. Cautiously, she follows Professor Lainey and the other students to the kitchen to gather armour?

Dianna followed the Professor and everyone else out of the class.
"Weird Class.." she thought but it was less boring than she had expected it to be.

Victoria was in her seat with her book out, reading it before she learned they were going out of the classroom. So, she put away her book and followed everyone else.

Emma looked up and noticed the teacher telling them to go to the kitchens. She then followed Victoria down to the kitchens. She waved to her.

Iris looked at the professor, actually terrified of her. The woman was CRAZY.

Why on earth would they be going to battle. Surely that's what you'd do in DADA. Not HoM...

Either way, Iris sighed and followed the Nutcase of a professor out of the classroom....

Hopefully they'd all be coming back from this 'battle' in one piece.

Noir looked at her Professor..she can't believed what her Professor just said.."Kitchen??Battle??I'm in the History of Magic class, right??" she thought and followed her Professor and the rest of the class to the kitchen..

Well this was an - interesting - lesson.

And Professor Lainey was nothing if not .... interesting?

Yeah.

But after all the talk of Star Wars and Orks, some of which had gone completely over her head, considering she'd never read the books or seen the films, they were off to the .... kitchens?

Oh well, we're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz. For some reason that tune was going around in her head, and Sarah had no idea why.

This class was making her crazy.But follow she did.

Luna liked Professor Lainey but going form pot to battle to kitchen was kind of confusing her. 'Oh well,' she thought 'Something good is bound to happen right?'

Theo couldn't believe that he going to be late to just his second class of the new term. If he hadn't got caught up in overhearing that conversation between those two older girls in the common he'd been here on time. Of course they were both prettier than any of the girls he'd seen in his younger schools......
As he was about to open the door to the HoM classroom and sneak in, trying to hide, the door burst open and the noise of the entire class hit him like a pot on the head. Then to his amazement, Professor Lainey and the class marched out of the room and she was wearing a cooking pot on her head!

Theo quickly fell back against the wall hoping not to get trampled and asked one of the cheerful students "where are we going and why does the Professor have a pot on her head?" The student just shrugged and laughed "don't know and we're off to battle in the Kitchens."

Theo shook his head for a second trying to comprehend the scene, it was almost like a muggle story he remembered of a group of dwarfs who playfully went to work in the mines everyday whistling as they walked. "Dwarfs!" Theo said out loud but then quickly quieted his voice, "I wonder if the House Elves are having another uprising?" He'd remembered vividly the story of how the House Elves rose up and battled against the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters with knives and cleavers back in the time when Harry Potter made the school famous.

Not wanting to be scolded for looking out of place, Theo joined the parade to the Kitchens and even began whistling under his breath as he walked.......

Well then.

They were...off to the kitchen...to do whatnow?

Heh.

Anyways, no need to hold hands...they could probably make it down to the kitchens without assistance. Miranda grabbed her bag, turning to look at Oliver and Sarah with a quizzical expression, but following the Professor out to their next adventure.

Hehe.

Camille wiped her glasses as the professor was announcing they were heading to the kit-
"where?" she almost shouted to her self with a bit you`re-kidding-right? expression.
"oh well.." she sighted as she placed her glasses on and gradually followed the class who was following the-she coughed a bit as she thought of it- teacher.
he knows what he`s doing so... she thought;shrugging as they waded off.

Alcemee followed the Professor to the kitchens. This professor was a lot more funny and ... interesting, than most of the other teachers, she thought.
