"It's nice to meet you as well Jayce," she said. Yay. She'd have someone to work with for the stuff. Hehehe. She wondered if they were going to paint it... It should be in green if it was. But then again, maybe it's a bit biased?
Selena smirked. "I think the Slytherins make up the awesomeness of the team," she said with a smile. Because Slytherins were awesome. And of course Selena was grateful with the help. "If you're going to cover yourself, use a towel or somrhing. not your hands," Selena sighed. And now she wanted sugar. "So... before getting in the water, are we allowed to eat chocolate?" she asked as she pulled it out.
She had to face it. She was hopeless when it came to work without sugar. Her beloved sugar. Okay, she was just scaring herself now and probably scarring others. Half an hour... it would take them less to make it and then to sail it a bit longer. She could eat just one... right? Yeah. She quickly popped a truffle in her mouth and finished eating. "Want one?" she offered them before picking up a long piece of wood.
Now... how to make the oar... without a saw. It was quite obvious she didn't trust herself with one.
As he continued to work on the hull he heard a rustling of some kind of wrapper beind him. what was that? He turned around to see two of his team mates chowing down on some chocolates. "Geez you all sound like racoons going through the garbage!" he chuckled. "Mind if I have one of those, Selena?" he siad with a grin.

"I don't think i'd be able to make one all by myself anyway. It's always better to work as a team." he replied.
"Oh, i don't know about that. Gryffindor's pretty awesome." he said. Jayce couldn't help but chuckle at all of Selena's questions. "You might as well eat them now, you definitely won't like them when they're wet." He stared at the chocolate in her hand as if it were made of pure gold. Mmm. CHOCOLAATE! He nodded and held out his hand for a truffle. Nom nom!
"So, we need wood. Lots and lots of wood. And... we need tools. Lots and lots of tools." he chuckled.
The seventh year nodded understandingly to the younger Gryffindor, "Well you don't have to be an expert, Merlin know I'm not. We are all here to help each other out." he used a few more nonverbal sticking charms to attach a couple of boads together to make up one side.

Another ten minutes or so had passed since Chris had finished assembling the first side of the boat. He then moved to the other one and afte a few more sticking charms, a cut with the saw here and there, and a bit of shaking the wood to get a perfect fit, the hull of the boat was done.
He stepped back and examined his work. The boat was at least 7-feet long and could easily fit four students it in. That was good, because he wasn't going to be the one tied to it in the water!
Ok so Leiliani was working on the mast and sail by herself. He would help her now. "Hey there, mind if I help?" he grinned brightly as he walked over to the pile of wood and a bit of fabric.

I'll do whatever you don't want to do." he smiled at the girl and looked towards the wood. "Actually, if you don't mind, i'll work on the rutter." he stated and walked over to some unattended wood. He grabbed a decent amount before heading back to the group.
"Hm. A rutter." he said aloud. He began sifting through all of the wood. Once he found a piece that was about three inches thick, he picked it up, and walked over to Chris. "Can i borrow that saw, if you're done with it of course.

Selena gave Chris a truffle too. "Here you go, have a lovely and hyper day~" Selena said cheerfully. See, sugar was good. Raccoons? Please, he resembled one more. Pffft. Yeah, now she was just being immature. Back to work after the sugar. At least she wasn't hyper, that was good. If she was she wondered what would happen. Hehehe. Yeah, she'd be jumping all over the place.
"Then I suppose I'll work on the oars," she said as she took the wood and looked at it. It was going to take a while... Now... to work with the saw or with magic. She sighed. Best to use a saw or a knife or something... Lalala. Working... working... oh look... a saw. Hehehe. People, beware. She started to work on the top part of the oar, the long stick part.
Measurements!! She had to make sure they were all proportional!! Rawrs. Work... She glared at the wood and the saw. Evil... Back to work.

Daisy smiled and nodded. They wokred quietly without conversation and finally the boat was done. "Can we paint it purple?"
Carson looked at the completed boat and nodded. He wave his wand and said,"Colorus Revolvo Purple." The boat turned purple along with the oars and he smiled. "Are you ready to set sail across the lake?"

After about ten minutes he had it. He put the saw down gently, and took a step back to look at what he had created. Not too bad. It could have been better, but under the circumstances, it would do just fine.

Daisy shook her head. "I want to put it into the water first to make sure it won't sink." She pulled out her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa," and levitated the boat into the water. she then careful stepped into the boat and inspected it. she burst out lauging when she found a leak within the bottom of it. "You need to repair it. There's a leak and I'm not sailing across no lake with a leak in the boat."

"ALRIGHT. Listen up, children and young adults, and the rest of you. As I stated, we're going to sail across the lake. First, you lot will need to divide up and build a boat or two. A raft. You need a vessel that will float and get you from HERE," Lainey pointed to the shore they were standing on, "TO THERE," the opposite side of the lake.
"You may use magic... you may use each other.... you may build a perfectly normal muggle boat. It's up to YOU. If you wish to sail and work alone, you may, if you want to work in a HUGE team and build a BIG raft - that too is acceptable."
"Questions? If not, go ahead and get started! I'll be in my lawn chair over there." Lainey pointed to where her chair was sat up, where the waves came to shore and she could soak her feet in the water's edge.
OOC: We're going to boat build for a while. Please don't sail across the lake until Lainey has inspected your boat. But get in the water if you want, build, test, whatever. Just don't.... SAIL across yet.
So Gold was a little late, in joining the fun. She had skipped out of the class, on time; but, the moment she was outside, she had realized she was in a swimsuit. In a SWIMSUIT.
Soooo uncomfortable.
She had bitten her lip, contemplated slipping the school-robes she had stuffed rather unceremoniously into her bag, back on; decided against it, and then decided she didn't want to decide against it. So she had hidden in a corner, taken out the robes, slipped them on, ran down to the lake where she had quickly taken them off and stuffed them back into her bag anddddd here she was!
Thank Merlin she had made sure no one saw her slip into her robes, and then slip back out of them. Because then people would ask all sorts of questions, and Gold was in no mood to answer them.
But now, to build a raft.
Everyone seemed to have grouped up, already. Gold could, in fact, barely spot anyone, in the crowd. SOOO many students, here, and all of them seemed to be busy, busy, busy. She pouted, and decided to work on this alone. This would mean, of course, that she would have to build a small vessel, all by herself. Gold frowned at the thought, and then decided she could do it. How hard could it be, after all?
To begin with, she needed a plan. Gold did not remember half of what Sylvester had taught her about building a raft, and none of what he had taught her about building a canoe - canoes, those were difficult to make. So, having sat down, she began to draw a diagram, jotting down what she remembered from camp-outs with her father. It was hard, initially, mostly because Gold could not remember little details, and had to really, really focus, to bring them back to mind. But, ten minutes of effort later, she was glad to see that she actually had enough of a plan to start with. Thank Merlin for Sylverster and his awesome lessons!
She was soooo going to send him hugs, soon.
Yes, by mail.
It was easy to levitate enough dead wood, to serve her purpose. Gold wasn't working in a group, so she knew she wouldn't need a huge raft. Setting down the wood, she used a quick series of "Diffindo!"'s, to chop it up, until she had the required number of logs. Now, to bind them together. That was obviously the easiest part, since a simple sticking charm would do the trick. It did, too. Gold tried to pull two of the logs apart, and was not able to. SCORE! So far, so good. Now to - oh look, CHRIS!
Gold had spottttted hiiimm!
Levitating her little raft into the air at once, she skipped over to him, and set it down by his side. "Hey!" She said, beaming round at his group. "Can I help you guys?" Because she wanted to be close to Chris.
Carson ran his hand through his hair and looked at the leak. It was a slow one but she was right. They did have a long way to go. He levitated the boat back to the main ground and proceeded to work on fixing the leak. "You made a good call on checking it for leaks. And the sail looks really nice. The oars are just in case there is no winde to move the boat but I'm pretty sure there will be wind." He flipped the boat upside down and worked on it some more. He then went to the left side of the boat after flipping it right side up and smiled. "We still need to carve something into it." He then pointed his wand at it and vary carefully carved their names into the side. "There it's perfect now. You need to test it one more time."

"Good job on the oars so far!" he yelled over to her as he still just stared at the fabirc for the sail, he was stuck on an idea to make it.

Chris had turned back from Jayce so he could stick the rudder to the boat and was about to start on the sail, but the fabric just layed there MOCKING him. How was he supposed to make it?
And then help showed up in the form of..."Gold!!" he shouted when he saw his girlfriend and her boat show up. He gave her a big hug and then stood back. "I like your suit." he smiled brightly and then flexed a bicep. "You like mine?" he grinned mischieviously as he modeled his black trunks with the white stripe down the side. He was no comfortable in them and no longer wished he had a shirt on. It was warm down here by the Lake.
"Nice boat," he said standing up straight again and taking in her hard work. "We are working on ours' too. You like it so far?" he said gesturing towards it. "Oh and these are my teammates. Gold this is Selena working on the oars, Jayce with the rudder, and Leiliani on the mast!" he smiled pointing to each of them. "Guys this is my girlfriend Gold Lashk, Gryffindor Prefect."
O so now that introductions are finished, he needed help like RAWR!!! "Hey Gold can you sew or at least do it by magic? I am sooo stuck on this sail. We have oars but we want a sail just in case you know?" he smiled brightly. He was glad she was here.

"No problem," she said as she continued to work on the oars when she saw her. Ooh. Her name was Gold. "Hello Gold, it's nice to meet you, as he said before I'm Selena," she said with a smile and a small wave. She didn't like being pointed at. "Don't point at people, it's rude," she said with a frown. She then smiled at the Gryffindor Prefect. "Want a truffle?" she said cheerfully. Mood swings?
Now... back to glaring at the wood as she made them into oars. Stupid saw. Oooh. Lookie there. A knife. hehehe. Actually on second thought, she didn't trust herself with it. A saw was fine. She sighed and went back to work. Was it proportional? It looked to be so...

Gold bit her lower lip, at Chris's words. She wanted to get switch back to her school-robes, please. She had thought they would get to swim here, and had been excited. But, even though the prospect of a vessel was fun, the fact that she had to wear a swimsuit, but not get to swim at once, was not. She would much rather wear robes.
"I like yours," she laughed. Because his actions made her feel better. AND then there were all those introductions. Right, right. Even though Gold already knew most of the people, here. But she re-greeted them, allthe same. "Hey everyone," she said, slowwwlyy taking in the vessel the little group was working on, as she spoke.
Sew? Of course she could! Gold had actually taught Arya a few basics, on that topic. She nodded and, bending down, picked up the fabric Chris had been looking rather desperately at, earlier. Spreading it out, she gave it a somewhat rough cut with the help of her wand, making sure she left out extra fabric along the front and bottom edges. Then she righted the 'sail' and, picking up a piece of red chalk, drew straight lines for the foot, and the trailing edge. Sooo farrrr, sooo good.
Having marked a rough curve of ze luff, Gold used her wand to hold the fabric straight, and then proceeded to form a clean hem, round the corners of the sail and, finally, to use quick charm-work to pierce holes in the material, as required. Grabbing grommets, she installed them in with the help of her wand, and then beamed at Chris.
Did Professor Lainey say don't trip over anything? Well that was ironic "But Professor I've done that twice already, there's no guarantee that I will do it again" she giggled before watching where she was going and not letting herself get distracted by anything. Ooo.....Sailing the lake. This sounded fun. But where was Oliver? Gah she couldn't have another HoM without him? Or Spatulaclaw!!! Gh last time was so fun she needed them to have more fun again!
Oliver followed Lainey and the rest of the class to the lake donning his black swimming shorts.
They stopped at the lake and he stood and listened with interest to his favourite professor. See? This was why the Slytherin adored Lainey and loved her classes. Never before had a professor managed to make something as dull as History of Magic so damn fun and interesting.
He looked around for a partner, or partners, and spotted Trixie who was giggling about something or another and he smirked to himself. “Hey Memory Charm!” He said as he wandered over to his fellow Snake. “Fancy partnering up?” *Grin*

Trixie frowned slightly at the Professor. Don't let her be in the professors boat? Charming. She wasn't going to fall in. Or maybe she would. Provided that she could find someone to work with seeing as Jayce had just walked off. But just as she was about to complain about it and go off in a huff by herself, there came a voice. And it was actually one she wanted to hear.
"Baboon Boy" she grinned evilly. "I would love to partner up" she smiled. "But you know that our boat is most likely to sink if it is us two working together on a boat" she giggled. Meh well they could climb the mast or something. They seemed to be good at climbing and most probably destroying things. Now what was it they were supposed to do? Use anything to build a boat.
"Are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?" she asked referring to magic or muggle techniques. Because tonight Pinky, they were going to do what they do every night. Try to take over the Lake. Hehe!
"Can I help you guys?" Because she wanted to be close to Chris.
... and she wanted snuggles.

"Good job on the oars so far!" he yelled over to her as he still just stared at the fabirc for the sail, he was stuck on an idea to make it.
Chris hadn't even started the sail and the rudder was finished!! "Awesome job Jayce do you want to have the honor of sticking it to the boat?" he chuckled excitedly, their mini-ship was coming together!
Fun!Fun!

Jayce grinned. "Thanks Chris." he replied. "Er.. Sure. Why not?" he said happily as he picked up the rudder and walked over to the back of the boat. He held the rudder with one hand against the back curve and used his other hand to grab his wand and recite the sticking charm. He grinned happily as it stayed in place.
Jay turned back around as another girl joined the group. And then Chris was introducing her to everyone. As Chris said his name, he smiled and said a quick "hello." Her name was Gold. That was a cool name.
Jayce then looked back over at Selena. "Need some help?" he offered as he walked closer to her.

Selena looked at the one oar she had finished making and the one that she was halfway done with. "No, I'm fine, thanks for asking," she said with a smile. She just wanted to paint the boat. All green. Yeah. She ate another chocolate. Mmm... sugar. She sighed and went back to working on the oars.
She wanted to paint the boat already. But then they still had the masts and sails to work on... Which they were working on right now. She sighed and continued to work. Stupid wood. She hoped she didn't get a splinter. That would hurt. Rawrs. "Alright, I'm done," she said with a smile. She was satisfied with her work. The two oars came out nicely and seemed almost identical. Just a tiny bit off. Not bad...

Baboon Boy! Snicker.
“Hey!” Oliver protested. “With you and me working together our boat will be made of awesome.” He grinned stupidly and raised his hand to high five Trixe.
He eyed the pile of lumber and other crap. “Soo.. I think we should call ourselves 'Team Oliver'.” He said nonchalantly as he picked up a large piece of driftwood. He set it aside and proceeded to collect a couple of what looked like yellow plastic barrels which would no doubt float nicely. “I think we should use both.” He said with a single nod in the affirmative. “best of both worlds don't cha think?” He tapped the yellow barrel and turned it green. “Much better.” Smirk.
“Now... do you wanna make a boat or a raft?” He asked the Slytherin girl. A raft would be easier no doubt, but probably a lot slower than a boat.
Nymphy looked at the remaining parts and noticed that they all seemed to fit together quite nicely, almost like a disassembled set. "Lets see if this work...." he said to himself, and then "Erecto!" he said, waving his wand and pointing it straight at the parts he had put in a pile.
At once, the lumber snapped together, the mast hung perpendicular and the canvass whipped up (rope threading through holes and into the alloted place on the mast). His boat was a sight to behold. "Is this ok Professor?" he asked, raising his hand.

Trixie smirked and did a single affirmative nod to agree with oliver. "Most certainly" she grinned. "We will be the only ones to stay afloat" she giggled. "And even if that does mean we have to sabotage other peoples boats." Hehe! She had her ways!! Trixie high fived Oliver back. Now this was going to be awesome fun.
Trixie rolled her eyes at Oliver. There was no way that they were going to be called that. "Nuh uh. Pinky and the Brain" she grinned evilly once more. And she was the brains because well, she just was. Se looked at the equipment he had pointed out and nodded in agreement. "yeah definitely both. And we will need a mast to keep the boat on balance" she replied. Eep this would be serious fun when they got onto the actual water.
A raft or a boat? "Well a boat is so much more challenging. And you know I like a challenge" she said with a smirk. And she very well much knew that Oliver preferred a challenge too.
Shifting her feet on the pile of wood, she listened to Ivory speak. Her eyes continued to scan the materials they had at thier dissposal. There was a lot of things the two of them could use, and even more ideas running around in her head.
Her mind wondering a bit, she almost didn't catch what her friend was saying about the tree trunk. Her eyes lighting up, she nodded her head in agreement. "That sounds like a great idea, and we can have a square hole in the middle on the floor so we can see the creatures below. It will have a clear covering, of course." Taking her friend's hand, she climbed down the pile of wood and over to the log.
Running her hand through her hair, she pulled out her wand and twirled it between her fingers. "So where shall we start?"
"Totally, maybe we'll even see the squid!" Excited now, Ivory followed her friend to examine the log. It was wide enough for both of them to sit side by side comfortably but it'd probably be better balanced if they sat one on each side.
"Well since it has to be long enough for a window, both of us, the mast, and the rudder, I guess it has to be pretty long." Walking along the trunk she tried to estimate where they'd have to cut. "Maybe 8-9 feet? So i guess that's where we should cut..."
Looking around she tried to see if there was a tape measure lying around.

Sweet Merlin.
They were actually going to sail the thing that they built?
Destiny took a look around at her group and frowned. Right now, since her LIFE was on the line, she didn't trust any of them. Maybe Evelyn, but even that would be pushing it. Besides, she didn't think Evelyn would be the one to actually build the thing..which was a good idea..letting the BOYS do all the work.
Especially if they needed muscle power, like Patroclus said. Destiny was muscle-less.
Okay..Patroclus was touching Evelyn demonstrating a raft with her hand. Destiny STILL had no idea what was going on, and that little demonstration just left her even more confused. One thing she wasn't confused about was how Patroclus had given HER orders. What did he think he was, the Captain? Pshaw! "I'll start working on the sail while you all," she pointed to each person, "work on the raft."
Adjusting her duckie floatie, she turned around to look for the things she would need for a sail before calling over her shoulder, "Make sure the raft has no HOLES!"
She did NOT want to sink.

Engorging it! That was a fantastic idea! Well done, Patty! She was starting to calm down, but was still really excited with this whole 'building things with magic' idea. "That's a fabulous idea, Patty! Really! Nice thinking!"
She was a little offended that he thought her spell might not work. Her spells ALWAYS worked. If she was going to use one for a grade especially... But she didn't take it too harshly. He didn't really know her, how she did things, how she didn't do things. It wasn't a big deal really. He hadn't meant it with any personal intent.
She noticed Evelyn looked like she was hiding behind Destiny.. "Evie? Is something wrong? You look like you're using our captain as a shield!" Kylie laughed. She was obviously making an exaggeration. Evie was probably just looking for something. No big deal.
Kylie felt her wand on her new holster she'd gotten. No way anyone was taking it from her now! She wondered if that was why she was so excited. She'd finally gotten her wand back. She knew that was why she wanted to do as many charms as she could get out of her little self!
Patty? Who in the world was Patty? Bahaha! Did Kylie just call Patroclus...Patty?
Wait, she gave him a nickname? glare!
If she wasn't already in a grumpy mood already, she would've definitely had been in one now. Patty. Pfft. Sounded like a girl's name, and the Gryffindor most definitely was not a girl. Staring at Kylie, the Slytherin had not noticed or heard her ask a question or even say her name. Hmm?
Shield? Oh. "Umm, no."Just that you are creeping me out."I mean no, nothing is wrong, and I'm not using her as a shield." At least, now she wasn't using her as a shield anymore.

Here let me show you, I am going to tak your hand, so dont freak out," He added the last part, with a warm smile that reached into his eyes. Patroclus took her hand and held it out between them. Grabbing her finger tips he begun his explanation. "Your hand is the raft, if we make it but just sticking one row of logs together," and he gave her hand a light shake, and waited as he knuckles moved with in reaction. "The waves with break the rafts, but,"he placed his hand on top of hers so his pinkie fingers touched her knuckles, "if we had another layer of half logs, this way, then the waves come," pushed on downwards slightly, "we will remain strong! Thank you Miss Flores for your assistance," Patroclus finished in a presenter style voice!
Patroclus levitated more logs down and began to severe them as well! "Captain you should apoint someone to work on the Sail! We need it to look spectular!
However, all evil thoughts she was mentally throwing at Kylie disappeared when Patroclus spoke. Mmhmm. Spoke to her. Not Kylie.
AND he took her hand. HA! Yea, take THAT Kylie.
But, back to more important matters. Hand holding Instructions on what they were actually doing with these logs. Watching intently on what he was doing, since not only was he in her personal space at the moment which she was trying to not think about, but well...yea, the obvious, he was also semi-holding her hand. And...of course, demonstrating what they were going to build. Yea, the last one was pretty important. Mmhmm.
Oh wait, he was done talking? Crap. What did he say again? Perhaps she should just...watch. Or, give moral support on all of this. Meh. "How many logs are we cutting?" she asked, already piecing things together on what they were supposed to be doing. If there was one thing she was good at, it was observing and piecing things together.
Glancing over at Destiny, Evelyn smirked before shaking her head. Perhaps naming Destiny the captain wasn't such a good idea. Aw well, it'll definitely bring a more amusing atmosphere to task at hand. And speaking of atmosphere, it was seriously hot out.
Looking up from his work for the first time, Keefer noted the general confusion and chaos. Not bad, just the right amount. Every class needs a good bit of craziness he decided. That's why he liked Lainey's classes. For the craziness. He was also amused by the fact that most groups didn't seem to be making any progress on their boats. Perhaps there are Wrackspurts around and they cannot figure what to do he mused, as if this were an entirely plausible occurrence. Keefer wore Wrackspurt siphons to every lesson in order to avoid just such a problem. Well, time to test the HMS Keefer, I'd say.
Wand aloft, Keefer levitated his small craft over to the edge of the lake, letting it come to rest on the top of the water. Ending his spell, he saw that the boat floated. Right-o! Now to get on! Humming a sea chanty, he stepped onto the raft. Fortunately, the raft floated and Keefer's 1920's style white-and-orange-striped bathing suit stayed dry. He stepped back off and dragged the craft back onto terra firma.
Spotting Lainey, he sauntered over to her, back to practicing his freestyle swim stroke as he walked. "Sorry to bother your relaxation, Professor, but I was wondering if you could inspect my raft, please."
Perhaps after his craft was given the ok, he might find a log to lie on and practice his swim strokes like back in the classroom.
"I reckon that's partly why they pay me," Lainey answered. She gave him a loooooong, appraising look before getting up from her chair. Lainey was clearly deciding something about the Hufflepuff. Hmm.
"Get back on your boat, Keefer, and do ten jumping jacks on both the bow and stern of your vessel. If it doesn't topple, sink, explode, fall apart, ect. then your boat will pass the first test."
Lainey stood with her hands on her hips near Keefer's creation, waiting for him to prove he'd built a quality boat.

"Same as Keefer, Nymphy! You put that together awful fast.... You'll need to do jumping jacks on ALL sides. Then check for leaks, my boy!"
Now. To take care of a few other things. She'd almost had to step in when Carson DESTROYED Daisy's boat, but they seemed to be working that out. Typical Slytherin and Gryffindor behavior, right? No? Hm. "Carson and Daisy - Don't sail yet, alright? I may need to put a mediator on YOUR boat." Like a Puff. Puffs were so good.
"Jacob? You look confused. Why don't you see if you can offer your good looks and muscles to Becca Parker? She's got what looks a GOOD START over there."
The Big Head Boy's group was working tirelessly, and "Patty's" group, too. Some weird hand holding demonstrations that was actually FLIRTING. FLIIIRRRTTTINNGGGGGGG IN CLASSSSSSSSS. But that was fine; they were working hard. As was Trix and OliOliOliver. So far, MOSTLY good.
"AHEM. Crabby and Prefect Kururugi? A word, please? Legs and Chez," who got a WINK at the mention of his name,"can man the work for a moment. Sho, Grayson, and lovely Jack can brain it."
They were SO in trouble, Brinkley and Raiden. Lainey could only hope that the class would do the obligatory OOOoOOOOOOoooOOOoo as they did the walk of shame over to her lawn chair.
OOC: Yall are epic. We'll keep boat/ark/vessel/raft building for a bit. =) Please remember not to sail until instructed.
OOC PS: If I missed a post of yours speaking to Lainey, throw large objects at me. I started this post early this morning.... and had to stop. So. You know, disjointed. *facepalm*

Reason: KeeFer, not KeePer.
'Jacob brain no function good. Alone now Jacob work.' Jacob got up and went to the piles of supplies. Since it was only him, he'd might as well use less supply. 'Jacob alone work be good. Jacob no need talk with people, Funny think just in head.' He took six logs, and a seventh for the mast. He also took a lot of rope... 'Jacob like rope, rope make Jacob feel safe' Jacob handled the rope and two logs, he kicked along the rest of the logs. He finally found an empty space... Looking around he saw that some people were really ahead of him.... Oh Well
Jacob took the logs and his wand, using a severing charm on each except one. so he can sit on one side and put the mast easily, and the other will be in the water. Also he has more wood to use in case of any mistakes, then took the remaining log and made a hole through it near the top and one near the bottom... "Good, Jacob no use magic no more. Jacob do by hand and muggle way." he mumbled to himself, putting his wand into the pocket of his swim trunks. Jacob took the two longest ropes and two log halves. He weave the rope around it into a figure eight and tied it tightly like he was taught as a small child. There was still alot of excess rope, which was very good. "Jacob doing good... Jacob doing good" he mumble. Jacob really needed some confidence help... so he now said things to himself... not like they were helping. Jacob used the sencond rope and did the same on the other side of the two log halves. Jacob grabed a third and tied it the same way, weaving the rope in a way to keep the logs from sliping throught the ropes... he kept this up until he had a bottom that was good for one person, maybe two if they were small enough.
'Now Jacob Make sail... Jacob Make Sail Now!' Jacob got up from where he was working and got a sail from the pile of canvases, and more, shorter rope...
ooc: TOUZ... I saw your post... kind of , maybe... No sorry I completely missed that... so we get this instead
