Welcome to the Healers Booth!!
The decorative sign is the first thing you notice when walking through the sea of booths nearing the back of the Great Hall. Beside a stack of pamphlets (which you are more than welcome to take, one per student please) is a board game covering the majority of the table. Those familiar with muggle board games may recognize it as the game Operation, with a few obvious changes. The muggle game has been charmed and enlarged for this very special occasion. Instead of using tweezers to remove the pieces, you will be using your wand to levitate them out. A word of caution though, there will be no buzzer nor will Cavity Sam's nose lite up if your ailments touch the edges of thier openings. What will happen though, is your redish goo filled ailment will burts. No worries, the ailments are no bigger than your fist and the harmless goo is removable with a simple cleaning spell. So step up and have a go, there's a treat in it for all! A word of caution, this Cavity Sam isn't one for staying still and tends to shift positions when bored or has a itch that needs scratching.
OOC: The ailments are charmed so that once removed they will transform back into there original form, Blood-flavoured lollipops. Yes, if you get the goo on you it will taste like the candy. Please don't over dramatize the ailments popping, there's not enough goo in them to cover ANY portion of your body. Have fun!
Not here for the game? Want to know more about the medical field than what's on the pamphlet? We have that as well. Standing next to the booth with a welcoming smile is Healer Stella Wojack who works at St. Mungo's in the Magical Bugs floor. Stella couldn't be more excited to be here, ready to draw more bright young minds into the medical field. On the opposite side of the booth stands Mediwizard Salim Malik. When not working at St. Mungo's in the Artifact Accidents floor, you can find him healing at wizarding events such as quidditch matches. Sure Salim may seem a little intimidating, don't let that stop you. The Mediwizard is just as nervious about being here as you are, though he does a fine job of hiding it with a warm smile. Both are more than qualified and happy to answer any questions you have about jobs in the wizarding medical field.

Satine was very excited to get to the Job Fair and was the first in line when the doors flung open. She immediately headed towards the Healer's table. Healer Ashford had been her favorite during her first two years. She walked up and grabbed a pamphlet and began looking through it.
She smiled at the person behind the booth, "Howzit, I'm Satine. So tell me what kind of qualifications and studies you need to become a healer?" she said pulling out a quill to keep notes on the pamphlet.

"Hiiiii," Stella Wojack, petite and slightly insane Healer extraordinaire, leaned across the table and offered her hand to the girl there. She was a little CUTIE PIE. CUTE LITTLE THING. "Stella. It is awesome to meet you, Satine. You're interested in being a Healer? Well, of course you are, because you're standing here at our table and asking questions and looking all adorable and stuff."
She paused for breath. A moment at most. "Some of that stuff is on the pamphlet thingy right there, but you need to get top marks in Potions, Transfig, Herbology, Charms, Defense... oh, lots of things. And there's an interview, so it helps if you're not a completely awkward social moron. Although we have some of those. There's this one guy..." Oh wait. "Do you want to play our game?"
Selena looked at the booth and picked up a pamphlet. Her eyes flicked through it and she placed it in her bag. "Hello, my name's Selena," Selena said, "what do you need in order to be a healer, and what divisions are there in the job category?" Selena asked.

Salim Malik looked down at the young girl as she scanned the pamphlet. Don't be nervious, thier just children....not vicious creatures that want to rip my head off. His eyes flickered over to the other girl and his partner. Yup, just harmless children. Deep internal breath and warm smile. "Hello Selena, as the pamphlet says, you just need to score atleast Exceeding Expectations on your NEWTS for Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology, Charms, and DADA."
He looked at the girl, figuring not yet old enough to take those exams just yet. It was refreshing to see the younger students taking an intrest in the medical field. "That is also stated in the pamphlet. From Artifact Accidents, which is one of the places I work, to Midwifery." He leaned against the table, still not quiet relaxed. "Do you have any more questions or would you like to play our game?"

"I think I'd like to play the game," Selena smiled. The game though a bit gross, seemed a bit interesting at the same time. As well as something her mother would disapprove of. That made it even more worth it.

Salim's smile grew when she agreed to play the game, his first contestant. "This," Steping aside he motioned to the oversized muggle game board. "...is Wizard Operation. All you have to do it levitate an ailment out of one of Cavity Sam's openings. Do so without touching the edges and you shall win a prize." His tone changed to one of lite caution. "Be careful not to touch the opening's edges or else the ailment will pop. Good luck!" Smiling at her Salim pulled out his own wand, giving it a flick towards the game in one swift motion. "Good luck!"
Suddenly the board game came to life. Cavity Sam's eyes blinked slowly as he looked at the young girl, his fingers wiggling anxiously.

Selena's eyes darted across the board. She pulled out her wand and studied it carefully. Perhaps... if she levitated it around? Selena bit her bottom lip while thinking. Which would be the best way out? Selena found the ailment... but the way out? She began to levitate it up. 'Don't move, please don't move...' Selena thought nervously as she saw Cavity Sam's eyes blink and move. Selena moved her wand just a bit to the side in alarm when she saw him blink again, nearly brushing the sides. She focused and took in deep breaths. 'Nice and easy,' Selena told herself as she levitated the piece out, still floating in the air. "I Did it!" Selena said with glee as she smiled.
To heal - that was her passion. Had been, for a long, long time, now. Which was exactly why Gold had headed, straight for this booth, right now. "Hi!" She waved to the professionals, milling around. "Could I give that game there, a shot?" She had questions to ask, too.
They could wait a little, though. Gold was pretty sure she would have time enough to have fun and learn something.

Salim watched with interest as the young girl studied the board game, beginning to wonder if she even knew the levitation spell seeing how she was so young. Can't be older than twelve. His worries were for nothing though, as she began to levitate the ailment. When she had gotten her piece out successfully he grinned, matching her excitement. "Congratulations! Thanks for stoping by our booth and playing our game. Enjoy your treat, and if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask."
As soon as the ailment was free of Cavity Sam, it transformed back into a Blood-flavoured lollipop for the young girl to keep.

Rawwrrr.
Salim turned from Selena to another older student who seemed excited to be here. Smiling at her enthusiasm, and relaxing even more, he motioned again at the game. "Be my guest, all you have to do is levitate the ailment out without having it touch the sides or it will pop. Good luck." He wondered if she had questions, but assumed she was just here for the game, which was fine. He had worked hard on making it just right for Hogwarts pupils.
Cavity Sam was already sad about losing an ailment, he was so fond of them, and now he was about to lose another. Eyeing the girl warily, he reached his left hand up to scratch his head.

Selena smiled. "Cool, yum," Selena said as she stuffed it in her bag. She'd save it for later. "That was fun, thanks," Selena said before walking away, looking for another booth.

Josey immediately walked over to the healer's table. Ever since she was a little girl she had wanted to be a healer. But she was only a first year, and her passion was due to change. But she wanted to be ready. She picked up a pamphlet and began leafing through it.

"Hi!" Stella leaned across the table, extending her hand. "I'm Stella! Do you... have any questions for us? I think I can safely say I know about 96% of the answers, and my new bestie here probably knows at least the other 4%, but he looks pretty smart, right? He looks pretty smart."
She gestured to the game. "Do you want to play our game? It's kind of messy, but super fun!"

Josey looked up from the pamphlety and smiled. "I don't have any questions, this answered them all." She held up the pamphlet in her hand. "Sure, I'll play." Josey searched her memory for the spell she would need to use. It was in one of her books that she had read. She pointed her wand at a piece, the ice cream in his brain to be excact, and said confidentaly, "Wingardium Leviosa." The piece flew into the air. She guided it carefully out with her wand. It came very close to the edge, but it made it out safely. Josey smiled, She did it!

The link for the pamphlet has been added. OOPS.
Satine smiled at the lady, who seemed to be a little bit nervous and talked a lot. "O yes, I'm very interested in being a Healer...I love helping people." she said as she glanced at the pamphlet trying to take in all of the information. Did this lady just mention a game? "Did you say game? O yes I love games! Count me in...what do I have to do?"
Salim turned from Selena to another older student who seemed excited to be here. Smiling at her enthusiasm, and relaxing even more, he motioned again at the game. "Righto!"
... and then, of course, Gold gave the thing a shot. The levitation spell was simple enough, to be honest. The tricky part was making sure she did it all steadily, no haste, no risky moves. Gold concentrated a bit, levitating the ailment slowwwwlyyy out ---
OOC: You decide where this goes. =]
"This is fun," the sixth year said with a grin. "Is it okay if I ask a few questions? I mean, I'm looking for a career in the healing arts, and I wanted to know what options I have, for university and further study - the best colleges out there, the branches that have the most scope."
Much of her focus was still on Cavity Sam, but Gold was pretty eager for the answers, too. She knew France had some great universities, and hoped she could attend one there. If she got the grades, of course.

"Your welcome." He watched her walk away with a smile, that wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Hearing his partner call him her 'bestie', Salim blushed ever so slightly. 'Bestie' wasn't a term he used often nor was he ever refered to as such, but he did like he partner, such a bubbly woman she was. The rest was a complement right? That's how he was taking it anyway, and now to the not quiet so young student.

She was pretty sure she would.
Feeling one of his ailments being levitated out of his arm, Sam began to wiggle his arm in atempts to keep it. The ailment was halfway out when the opening began to get smaller from all the arm wiggling, closing in on the red ailment. OOC: I'll let you finish it off. XD
Salim returned the grin with one of his own. "Thank you, we worked hard on preparing it for this fair." He nodded his head and crossed his arms as she spoke. Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he mussed over her words while watching the game. Her questions were pretty broad, she seemed to know that she wanted to be a healer, just confused as to the field of study. "Well there are many good Healing schools, a few in France and some in America. Britian has good ones as well. Knowing what branch you want to go into helps pick out the school. I myself attended a Healing school in Germany before my internship at St. Mungos, they have an excelent Mediwizard program. I'm not sure what school my partner went to but I'm sure it was a good one, she's an excelent Healer."
He paused to catch his breath. "Our pamphlets have a bit of information on different branches of Healing, what branch of healing holds your intrest? Any intrest you have outside of healing? My love for quidditch lead me to become a Mediwizard. Now I get to attend the matches and heal injured players along with working at St. Mungos." Salim was now looking at the girl, leaning against the edge of the table.

"Being a healer is all about helping people. I mean, for the first few years, you totally work too hard and go crazy and get paid nothing and people keep throwing up on you, which is REALLY gross, but then you graduate from the internship and they let you wear the hideous lime robes. It's great."
Stella poked at poor Cavity Sam. "You just have to levitate out his ouchies. If you touch the side, they explode... which is more fun, I think. Make it explode on a neighbor."

"Actually, I didn't go to university, but if you want to study a pre-Healer program, there's one of those university booths here TOO," Stella pointed. "I studied privately under a pair of Healers in their home practice." Yeah, so... they were her parents. Who cared, right?

Becca walked up to the Healer's booth with a big smile on her face. Her favorite aunt Leah, was a Healer-or atleast the muggle equivalent to one. And her aunt took such pride in her work that Becca'd become interested in it herself. Picking up a pamphlet, she began to read of St. Mungo's and what the tasks/responcibilities of a Healer were. It sounded like a pretty fulfilling career, but one would have to be very dedicated.
The first thing Fia did was immediately head over to the Healers booth, the exact thing she wanted to do when she was of age. After all, she'd tried her best of taking care of Miles, even when he was so hyper she couldn't keep up with him, now she wanted to help others. She picked up a pamphlet and began to read, her eyes taking in every square inch of the piece of paper. She had a feeling of what subjects she needed to exceed in but it was written out the exact ones that mattered the most. When her eyes looked up from the pamphlet, it was then she noticed not one but two different people who were at the booth answering questions.

"Hello," Fia greeted with a bright, happy smile as a gentleman came walking towards herself and another student. She stared at him for a moment then turned to the board game he pointed too, first her eyes followed by the turning of her head. "I'm...willing to take a stab at it, if..." There had to be an if in there somewhere. "If you will answer a few questions I have."

Nooo. The opening was getting smaller! Gold at once stayed the action of her wand. That should make things better. Let Bad!Sam be a good Sam, instead. Of course, it was a shot in the dark, based on the fact that a cut down on motion means - in general - calm; but, thankfully, it worked -- and then Gold gave her wand a quick flick, to levitate the ailment out in one, quick move. Gosh! She had done it!
"Surprise! I did it," she said, with a grin. But, back to the talk. To which Gold could finally pay the attention she wanted to. "France sounds the perfect place, to attend college," she said, thoughtfully. "I mean, that's where I've grown up." But the healer wouldn't want to know that. Which was why Gold turned the conversation back to the real topic, at hand - healing.
"I'm personally interested in Spell Damage and Creature-Induced Injuries," she said, pleasantly. "I have a love for nature, and an interest in magical creatures, so that makes me more inclined towards the latter, but I can't say I would choose it over the other." She was quiet for a second, then said, "I guess it's possible to specialize in more than one field? Of course, I suppose that would consume quite a period." Money, too.

Gold shrugged. She would check out the Univeristy booth later, perhaps. The truth was, she was interested in this one, for now. Because it was fully related to the career she wanted to pursue.

Healing.
It was a career that Iris hadn't ever really thought about... It was an interesting career though. And she was good at looking after people when they were poorly. Sometimes.
She smiled at the guy at the front, and picked up one of the pamphlets. As she picked it up, she noticed the huge game that had been set out.
Wow.
That looked like fun.
She'd play that later, though. She wanted to read this pamphlet and maybe ask a couple of questions first. Somehow, Iris knew that being a Healer would be waaay different to playing doctors and nurses when you were little.
