A memorable story.

"My first detention was rather memorable, that is to say, the reason for it. I was reading a book in the duelling arena, studying theory before class you understand, and some older housemates of mine decided to use my book as their entertainment. They levitated it and tossed it between one another and rather than attempting to jump for it as they likely expected, I simply cursed one of them and expelled his entrails. Unfortunate timing of course, Professor Kazimeriz was to sub the lesson and he walked in at precisely that moment. I did try to explain to him that they were disrespecting the book but even when I told him they'd dropped it several times he did not think the punishment fit the crime. I had to suffer through a month of not being able to read anything as Kazimeriz cursed any book I opened to spill entrails of their own. Needless to say, it was the beginning of things. The rest of my first year was increasingly trying, though Kazimeriz began to tutor me in his own time, and continued to do so until I was of age, for reasons I am only just beginning to understand."

Honestly, Truebridge did owe a good majority of his skill with his wand to the old man. His methods may have often been questionable, but the results were undeniable.

Patroclus sat scribbling down the story as fast as he could, not taking in what he was hear, just jotting down the words that left the Professor’s mouth. It wasn’t until he placed the last full stop and re-read the story that he was able to gage just how great and powerful wizard Professor Truebridge was, “You were able to perform an entrail-expelling curse in your first year?” Patroclus could not fathom the magic involved, and he was a third year.

Patroclus was more than pleased with the result he had gained from the interview, “Well that is all the question I have for you Sir, thank you so much, it has been great to learn the story behind the wizard, as they say” he blushed at his own extraordinarily lame joke, “If there is anything I can do for you, to repay your time, I would be more than happy to do so!”

Jayce walked into the Great Hall. Oh Merlin was he hungry. He practically sprinted over to the Gryffindor table and directly towards the food. He quickly grabbed a plate and a seat. As soon as the plate was in his hands, he began to pile it with most of the food on the table. Once it was sufficiently heavy, he placed in on the table, and began to pick up thing after thing, and put it in his mouth. Mmm. Oh, right. He came in here to meet his partner in crime. Eh, oh well. She'd probably join him.

Eirian walked into the Great Hall dusting her hands off. Nothing like scaring 'puffs into fessing up... certain information. Then, she scanned the Hall, looking around until she spotted Jayce at the Gryffindor House Table. Sauntering over, she took a seat beside him and grabbed a chicken leg with her hands. "Olá, meu filho," she said, smirking. "Que está acontecendo?"

Jay lifted his head slightly as head heard a familiar voice speaking an unfamiliar language. He looked over to his right, and there was Eirian sitting next to him, speaking some Brazilian crap. He stared at her until she was done. "I have no idea what you just said." He replied and took another bite of the roll he was currently munching on. Gr. He hated it when she spoke in a different language.

Eirian took a giant bite of the chicken leg and grimaced. Had they flavored this thing with anti-spice or just left it to wallow in its own blandness? "'Ow are 'oo?" she translated through her mouthful, swallowing painfully. "Fun day full of ignoring professors, wasn't it?"

Jay chuckled as she took a bite of the chicken. It was hilarious. Well, her expression was. "I'm good." he grinned and couldn't help but chuckle at her. "Oh, for sure." he smiled. "I avoid professors when i want. And today, i wanted to. So i did." he smiled. "And you?"

"What are you laughing at, filho?" Eirian asked, taking another bite. "I'm like... like a snake, for a lack of a better term... I avoid anyone and everyone." Gee, a Slytherin like a snake? Really? How original. "So, you ready for movie-watching?"

"What am i laughing at?" he repeated her question. "Well, you of course. You're expression it hilarious when you eat." he chuckled. "Gee. A Slytherin is actually like a snake? That's... Different." Jay teased. "You're asking me if i'm ready for movie-watching?" he questioned. "The question is, are you ready for movie-watching." he grinned.

"Hey, I take offense to that," Eirian said, dropping her chicken to cross her arms jokingly. "Oh, shut up." She snorted. "I've... never actually watched a movie before... I've just learned about it in Muggle Studies here and in Brazil, where it was mandatory."

"I know." he chuckled and then shook his head. "I most certainly will not shut up. You should know me better than that." he grinned. "Well, i've gathered that. I don't think anyone, besides me, has watched a move before." Jayce smiled. "Well, yeah, but learning about it doesn't count as much as actually seeing one." he took another huge bite out of the current food he was holding and then looked back up at her. "When shall we leave?"

"I do, most unfortunately," Eirian said, rolling her eyes and yet smiling nonetheless. "We'll leave when we're done eating. And Merlin, I am not done eating this horrid food."

Jay laughed and took a bite of one of the few fruits piled onto his plate. Ot was an apple. Pretty much the only fruit he would eat, besides banana's of course. He nodded "Once we're done." he said, taking another bite.

Eirian nodded, scouring the table for something with more potential to appease her tastebuds. That was when she spotted the pineapple. "Ooh!" After much eating later, the turned to Jayce again. "You ready?"

Jay laughed as she spotted pineapple and stole some right from her hand. he chuckled some more as he popped it into his mouth. "Of course I'm ready." he grinned as shoved his plate away, and stood up. He then extended a hand towards her to help her up.

"Thief," Eirian said, frowning as some of her important pineapple disappeared down Jayce's throat. "But a polite one, at least," she added as she stood up thanks to his hand. "We're headed to the seventh floor, so get ready for a hike."

"Hey, you're my partner in crime, you're not allowed to call me a thief." he grinned as she called him polite. "Well, blame my... erm... guardians for that." he said, referring to the whole polite thing. He never could get use to calling them his guardians. It was just weird. "Oh, fun. A hike. Just what i was looking forward to after eating all off that." he said as he pointed back to the empty plates. "C'mon." he groaned.

Holding Carter's hand as they arrived in the Great Hall, Ella took a seat down. The plates were all full of food, and Ella was hungry herself after a while. "What to have?" she asked him, happy with all the events.

Carter took a seat across from Ella and looked around. "Hmm... I'm going to start with... this delicious looking roast." he said piling some on his plate. "And potatoes, of course." he added putting some on his plate.

Shaylee walked into the great hall, exausted and starving. She made her way over to the Gryffindor table and was to hungry to bother looking to see if one of her friends were there. She sat down and started to put food onto the plate in front of her.

"Oooh, that looks really good," Ella smiled, taking some potatoes for herself and pouring herself a glass or juice. "So anyway, how's life been for you?" she asked before taking a bite of her food.

"Good." Carter said. Well... of course, that was minus their horrible defeat in Quidditch, ending up in the hospital wing, his summer plans, and getting into 2 fights with Marie. But other than that things were good. "How about yourself?"

Ella studied Carter's face with an eyebrow up. "You sure about that?" she said with a half-hearted chuckle. "But if you are able to look past all the bad things, I guess you're a pretty strong person," she told him. Nothing had actually gone very well this year. But everything was improving for her now. She ran her fingers through her brown hair, which today was just open how it was naturally. The smell of apples covered her face for a second as she ate. Moving it back, she answered, "Going pretty well.. now." They did just come from the owlery. Which had made everything better.

Carter laughed. "You know me too well." he said. "But I'm doing good. At least I'm mostly good." he said. He ate a few more spoonfuls of food. "I'm glad you're doing better." he said. "Are you anxious at all about going home for the summer?"

"Good," Ella replied, twirling her spoon around her plate in thought, head resting in her hand. Then she smiled. "Yeah, everything's better for now," she said. Hopefully it would stay that way. "Of course I am. I hate leaving Hogwarts. But there's always a good side. Family again," she smiled. "What about you?"
