You are the only person besides Dylan that I do care about," she said meekly, tears springing to her eyes.
She was WOUNDED by his words... there was a difference between honesty and being downright MEAN. Jumping up from her seat she then stormed past Sabel, up the stairs toward her dormitory. Turning for one last comment, tears POURING down her face she said, " Sabel, you matter more than I do... whether you know it or not." With that there was a flash of blonde hair as she turned and disappeared up the stairs and to the dorm. MEAN BOY... MEAN MEAN BOY! She was going to have to tell her brother!

He wouldn't even let himself think about how he was letting her walk away, again, when he wasn't allowed to do so in her presence. It seemed as long as he did whatever she wanted, she was happy, despite her words that told him to express himself, for whenever he did such a thing, it was all tears and sniffles. He just couldn't do it anymore. And he knew where most of it stemmed from, and it only made his blood boil that much more.
She said she cared for him, that he mattered to her. She had a funny way of showing it. He needed to get out. Now. Needed to get away from the common room, from the dormotories, from everything here. He felt like he was ready to explode as he turned to the portrait and quickly left the common room. He didn't know how long he could keep his mouth shut.
