Deciding that Rae could just sit against the wall in the corridors here she would get some privacy. She just wanted to think a bit. She slid down the wall with her knees propped up in front of her.

Xylon's jeans were ripped at the knees and no that was not a fashion statement, but an unfortunate, very recent accident. He looked pretty neat other than that though - the hair he was so vain about looked, in his opinion, perfect. But then he always thought it did.

Walking into the dungeon corridor in hopes of getting away from everyone else, he spotted ------- ah. That was Rae. He smirked, not able to help it, and then he had gone over to her. Because she looked a darling. As always.

Quidditch tryouts, dueling club, Transfiguration club, baking. Then there's Evelyn, Destiny, Fletcher of course, which she generally liked to think out now, then there was that guy who........Did someone speak? Rae looked up to see the guy she was just getting around to in her head. Xylon. Really now? Was it THAT HARD to get some privacy? She was down in the dungeons for Merlin's sake. "Er... fine, and you?" Rae thought she should at least be nice. Now she was thinking back to the last time they'd spoken, when she had no idea what was going on and Fletcher did nothing to back her up while she was still INSIDE the fountain.

"Wonderful, now that I've seen you," Xylon said smoothly as he helped himself to a seat beside her. On the ground of course ---- which was okay as long as she was around because a pretty girl is always good company. Especially a pretty girl like Rae.

What was he getting at with her? Rae kept racking her brain trying to figure it out as she sat down next to her. Oh this question has been nagging her long enough, even if it sounded rude, she couldn't help but ask, "I'm sorry but... Is there something specific you want from me? Do i have something you want?" Xylon was kind of amused at how clueless she was. That set her apart. He could always find something in a pretty girl to set her apart from the rest, but she was different in the sense that she gave him no reaction. He found that an incentive to stay. Be there. He leaned back against the wall and let her speak. Then he turned to look at her.

"Your company," he said simply. There. That was a simple and honest answer --- no attempt to sound impolite, for once.

Xylon surveyed Rae through hazel eyes. She didn't look too happy and he was pretty sure that wasn't only because he was around. Maybe it had something to do with what he had said.

"Are you alright?" He asked, gently. He hadn't intended to make her uncomfortable. Not really. Sure he could be a jerk sometimes but he wasn't that much of a jerk.

Right. Now he had upset her or something --- she was sort of stuttering. Xylon was surprised that he felt he shouldn't have - usually he didn't feel bad even when he hurt others.

There was...... something in her eyes. Xylon couldn't exactly figure out what. Maybe a shadow. Or shadows. She had to be a Slytherin - either that or a Gryffindor. He forgot his train of thoughts when she spoke though. Because what she said made him grin. "Someone who knows how to have fun --- how enchanting," he said lightly. He leaned back against the wall, loosening up a bit. "I hope you know how to stay out of the limelight though. That's not good for a trouble-maker."

She could throw a torch through a window and still not be noticed. "That's not a problem, no one at this school even knew i was here until this year." Because of that stupid promise she made herself to actually get involved this year. "Not even the teacher's know my name, and i've been around for 5 years..." Though she was still a fourth year.... a bit irritated at the thought she listened to him explain his year and age. "That's okay, better to be younger and a year ahead than the other way around." That was a really nice comment, then she listened to his voice drop off. There looked like after he said the comment about his year as well his face, it saddened or something. "Thank you. I'm sure you will have a good term also."
