Dungeon Corridor
 

Down the staircase to the left of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall lie the dungeons of Hogwarts. In order to reach the various classrooms, dungeons, and the Slytherin Common Room you have to make your way through the creepy, dark, corridors...

Marie happily followed along with Carter as they went to the dungeons. This was the first chance they had to be alone since they had been on the train. They finally made it to the dungeon corridor after walking silently from the Great Hall when out of the blue Carter announced that he wanted to be her boyfriend. Stopping suddenly she looked up at him, "Really?" she asked feeling like the luckiest girl in the world. Until she heard his next comment.

But I think we should wait a little while.

What!?

All happiness left her face when he said that. She didn't want to wait any longer. She already felt like she had been waiting forever to hear him say he wanted to be her boyfriend. Besides, she broke up with Evan at the beginning of the summer, just exactly how long was she suppose to wait before she moved on with her life? "But I don't care what anyone says about me. I only care about what you think." Okay, maybe she cared a little what others thought, but not enough to keep her from wanting to be Carter's girlfriend right now. "You are the kind of boyfriend I want to talk about to my friends. What makes you think you wouldn't be?" She just stood there feeling pretty numb right now. Her happy night was starting to turn out to be her worst night. She really had no clue how she would be able to be with him every day knowing that he didn't want to be her boyfriend now because of what others thought. It was almost like deja-vu. When she was with Evan he didn't want anyone to know because he was worried about what others would think of him since he wasn't with Fallon anymore. Now Carter doesn't want to be her boyfriend now because he is worried about what others will think since she wasn't with Evan anymore.

This just wasn't fair. When was it going to be her turn to decide what was right for her?

Carter blinked a few times. [b]"Really? Are you sure? You'd be going from a fellow pureblood Slytherin... well... to me..." he said looking down at the ground. How she decided that she wanted to be with him he wasn't quite sure. "I don't want you to think that I'm saying this because I don't want to be with you or I don't want everyone to know that I want to be with you. It's the exact opposite really."

Still standing there feeling like she was reliving something from the twilight zone Marie looked up at Carter when he asked if she was sure. "I've never been more sure of anything in my life." she said looking into his eyes. How could he not tell that he was who she wanted? "After everything we've been through do you honestly think I care about your blood status or what house you are in?" Sure she wished he was in Slytherin but that was only so she could spend even more time with him. "If it's not because you don't want to be with me then what is it?"

There were so many things going through Carter's head right now. For one thing, those words made him so happy. And then he realized he heard nearly the same words before from another blonde Slytherin. But he really couldn't say that.

"If you're sure then I guess there isn't anything holding us back." he said. "But I want to ask you out properly. Like over dinner in Hogsmeade? Or we could have a picnic by the lake."

Marie's smile finally came back when Carter said there was nothing holding them back. Did this mean she was going to be able to walk into her common room and tell everyone that Carter was her boyfriend?

Crud... guess not since he wanted to do things the proper way.

Looking at him with sad puppy dog eyes and a little frown she said, "You don't want me to be your girlfriend tonight?" She totally avoided the Hogsmeade and picnic comments right now. If her sad face worked like she hoped it would then she wouldn't have to wait for him to ask her to be his girlfriend, he would ask her tonight.

Puppy dog eyes? Really? Didn't she know that he was a sucker for those? Or maybe that's why she was doing it.

"Welllllll...." he said his mind beginning to waver.

"No, you deserve a proper asking and I will it to you. It'll be worth it, trust me." he said.

"Orchideous." he said repeating the spell he learned last year. "These flowers are for you." he said offering them to her.

What? The puppy dog eyes didn't work? But they always work when she is trying to get her way. So why was it they weren't working this time? Maybe she should have given him a hug... or a kiss too.

"Fine, I guess I'll have to wait." She said as she looked at him with her sad little expression.

Yes, she was pouting.

That pout disappeared and turned into a smile though when he offered her flowers. "Thanks," she said as she took the flowers from him. Looking at the flowers, happiness overtook her and she couldn't help herself. She hugged him with her free arm as she gave him a kiss. Official or not, in her mind she was his girlfriend now.

Carter kissed her back. Soon enough he'd be calling Marie his. And that thought was just so exciting to him. He looked at her. She looked so beautiful holding those flowers. It was like a dream.

"Have a good night." he said pulling away. "And have sweet dreams." He knew she would be in his. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Justin walked down the Dungeon Corridor and saw two people talking. One of them was a rather cute girl, the other, a boy. The both looked about his age. Which was always a good thing. Now he was protesting whether to talk to them or not. He thought he recognised one of them as one of the girl's at the Slytherin house taable at the start of term feast. He didn't know her name though.

Marie didn't want to leave Carter now. She just wanted to stay there, in the corridor with him but she knew that wasn't possible. She felt a little sadness when he pulled away from her... It was times like this that she wished they were in the same house.

"Oh I will," She said as she gave him another small kiss. "All my dreams with you in them are sweet." she said smiling flirtatiousley. "See you tomorrow... after Truebridge with us," she said as she slowly backed away towards the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room.

Carter smiled after he received another kiss. He smirked a bit after she said her dreams with him are sweet. "Oh, right. How about dinner then? I can come over to the Slytherin table and we can have dinner together and you can tell me all about the meeting."

"It's a date," she said smiling. She now had something to actually look forward to tomorrow. "Yeah, I'm sure there will be lots to tell. Truebridge seems pretty mad at our house." She felt herself bump into the portrait leading into the common room. "Oops, guess I should watch where I'm walking." She smiled at Carter one last time before turning to say the password for the portrait to open.

Carter smiled and watched as Marie turned and walked into the Slytherin common room. He then turned around and whistled happily as he began his walk to the Gryffindor Common Room.

CHase walked down the long dark corridors. she had never been in them before but, they weren't scary right?Chase caught a glimpse of the prat and decided to talk to him. Yeah it didn't take long to decide now did it?"Hey prat"She said."Watcha doin"She asked.

Justin tirned around after the boy and girl had gone. After hearing their entire conversation, he knew their names were Carter and Marie. He guessed Marie liked Carter or something after the way she was talking to him. Then he saw Chase. "Hey brat" he replied. "Just hanging around, listening to the torture coming from the Dungeons and the conversations" he added with a slight smirk.

Chase rolled her eyes.She detested him very much!"Well I can hear the torture but, What conversations?"She asked."We're the only ones here"She added. Was he listening to his conversation?

Justin rolled his eyes. "I've been here for the past few minutes, there was a boy and girl there but they went just before you came. Marie and Carter I think their names were" he replied. Was this girl dumb or what?

CHase sighed."Well I don't know everything.She said. She wondered why she was talking to the prat and not someone like Finn-Stella. Ugh."I still detest you"She mummbled.

Justin smirked. "Still the same little brat I met earlier then. And I detest you" he replied. Finn-Stella? Ah, the little Gryffindor girl who plays pranks. "You still hang around with Gryffindorks? You'll learn" he added remembering who Finn-Stella was.

Chase rolled her eyes."Most of the Gryffindorks are not prats like you"SHe said."And I don't like prats"She added.

Justin shook his head. "So you told me. Gryffindorks are just the kind hearted ones who shouldn't be in a school which has more Slytherin's than Gryffindorks. We rule the school" he replied.

Chase listened to what he said. wait what? Slytherins rule the school, what?"What the hell are you talking about?"She asked .

Justin tilted his head back. This was going to be a long day. "Seriously? Slytherin's are cunning, Sly, mean and RULERS! That means we are like Royalty around here" he replied.
