Jackie loves this question. She knows lots of different spells. "Well, stupefy, the stunning spell can work very well. Also confundus the confuzing spell."

Oh my goodness!

So much information! So much in fact, that she had no time to answer any of the questions. But now that everything was written down, she could finally answer! "You could use Aguamenti and then follow that up with Frigus." Water and a chilly wind..brrrr.

She glared at Ayra for a second before going back to her parchment.

Hermione raised her hand. "Wouldn't Stupefy be an effective spell in dueling professor, if you stun your opponent it would certainly give you the upper hand in a duel because you would be able to either keep attacking them, or put up a defense against them" said Hermione.

Kevin rushed into the dueling arena and sat down and listened to what his fellow students were saying he had only just found out about the start of the dueling club meetings and was running late but he was here now and hopefully he hadnt missed too much

Someone sat by Dianna as she was listening to the others answer the Professor's question. He looked very tired and seemed to only know about this meeting a few minutes ago.

Her wand hand twitched slightly and she stoped twirling her wand when she heard Destiny's answer, but that was all the acknowledgement the snake's response would recieve from her.

Placing her wand back in her robes, she picked up her quill and notepad and opted to write down everything she had heard from the other students. Completely ignoring the older girl's glare and answer. That was NOT going in her notes.

Kevin smiled at the girl beside him and continued to listen to what the students were saying to the professor. It was typical that Kevin slept in and miss the start of the meeting

Dianna noticed the older student smile at her. She turned to face him. No, not to introduce herself but just to make sure her guess was correct.
"Let me guess, you only knew about this a few minutes ago?" she whispered.

Kevin smiled and whispered "Yeah i kind of slept in from my nap and well i only found out about the meeting not that long ago"

"Still take naps huh?" she whispered back and laughed a little.
"Aren't you a little old to take naps?" she asked.

Kevin looked at the girl and whispered "Yeah well i need them cause i have exams at the end of year so i need to study hard for them"

After giving Jake a pleased grin at his mentioning Glisseo, Celandine copied down what everyone was saying and then alphabetised the list. She added a few herself as she put her hand up to speak.


"Well there are the Jelly jinxes, the Sponge Knees curse, the finger removing jinx, Depulso, Duro and of course the shields you taught us sir, Revertoscutum, Contego and the Impiriano shield."



Celandine looked around. "Does anyone want a copy of this list? She held it up, duplicated a few and offered them.

"How about the Mimblewimble Charm and the Steleus Curse. They are both specifically used in duels. The Mimblewimble Charm causes the person to mumble and studder, so he cannot cast a spell properly (COS Game). The Steleus Curse causes the person its cast upon to sneeze for a period of time. This curse is good for distracting your opponent (POA Game).

Rae looked over at one comment, she actually had been a bit bored from the rest. There was a list? Well that saved her all the work! She turned to see that one prefect that the potions teacher got a howler about. She didn't pay attention to much in that class, but no one could've missed the howler. Rae walked over to the prefect, "Oh, i'd like one please. Uh, my names Rae by the way." She felt weird walking up to someone she didn't know and just taking her notes basically.

"Hi Rae, I'm Celandine." No point pointing out that she was also the Head Girl, the badge made it totally obvious.

"Here. It should last, I'm pretty good at duplication spells." Not to mention spells in general. Cue hair toss. Celandine smiled brightly and passed one of the lists to Rae, adding a few more spells, the ones Sidney mentioned, with a flick of her wand.

Oh right, Head Girl badge. Rae thought of all that she didn't pay attention to, she must have thought she was a prefect because she heard there was comotion about the prefects in class. Maybe she fell asleep.... OHHH YEAHHH! Rae took one of those Daydreamer things from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Heh, no wonder why she had no idea what went on in class. "Thanks.." Rae watched her perform spells with such ease. There might have been a bit of envy hidden inside. "Hey, I saw you in the first Charms lesson too... " She was good in Charms.... Rae was horrible... "Uh, this is kinda embarrassing to ask but... Do you have time to maybe... Help me out with Charms?" She knew this wasn't really the time or place for it, but she might not find another really smart person to help her out.

"Of course!" Celandine nodded cheerfully. "I don't mind helping others, and I like Slytherins." Totally. They'd always been her favourites. Her first friends, not to mention her brother, had all been in Slytherin.

"Any time you like!"

Rae felt a relief when she agreed. She was so terrible at Charms, it didn't hurt that she liked slytherins either. "Thank you soo much!" Rae now remembered why they were even there.... The so far boring club meeting thing... "Oh, sorry i asked during this thing too.. We should probably pay attention...." Well, Rae most likely wont. But Head Girl here should because she's basically giving out the notes to everyone saving us the work.

Jake, of course, grinned back at Cela. It was from observing her magic and hearing her ideas that gave him the idea that he'd then gone on to use in duels. Woop!

OOOOH! LIST!

"C-c-can I hhhave one please?" Jake said quietly, looking hopefully at the girl.

"I'm ssssusscep... sss... susceptuhh... Err, that ssspell won't wwwork on mmme! The Mmmmimblewimble. Just takes pppractice to cccast through a ssstutter or whatever. And if yyyou can cast ssssilent stuff, you k-k-kind of... own."

Errr... rambling. Yes.

"Thats okay too." Celandine laughed cheerfully. She was so sure that Truebridge didn't mind after all. He had said it wasn't a class and they could chat. Assuming they stayed on topic and obviously, the list kind of was the topic.

"Of course!" Celandine offered Jake a sheet of the parchment with the list on it.

She still trusted him for some reason. Humm. Maybe because he'd not treated her weirdly when she told him her secret. Funny thing was, she didn't even hear his stutter anymore.

"Disillusionment? Yes if you are talented enough to cast it effectively it can indeed be useful in a duel." Truebridge answered.

"Not in this case. Glisseo yes, but certainly Dark magic is not something I can condone and certainly should not be used in any duels on school premises." Not that he minded a bit of healthy curiousity.

"That depends on how good the Legilimens is." Truebridge answered, "And Occulmency requires training, though some people have a natural aptitude for it." Now where had those questions come from?

"Thank you for that Celandine. If anyone wants a copy of that list so far, please take one from her. As you can see the list is already quite large and yet there are still plenty of spells not on it. I would like each of you to choose five spells from this list. They should be spells you either do not know or have not yet mastered completely. If there is anyone who considers themselves to know all of these spells," Truebridge might have sent a brief glance at the Head Girl. It wouldn't surprise him. She was very much the little overachiever.

"Then you'll need to choose five of them to work on non-verbally. Over the remainder of the term, you'll practice them and demonstrate the application of them in a duel. If there is anything not on this list that you'd like to choose, you may but I'd like for you to clear it with me first. Choose your five now and then I'll show you something new to work on as well. Then you can all go to dinner." Truebridge told them. "Take a copy of the list, look over it and make your choices."

Lucky first years pretty much had the entire list to choose from.

ooc: Post your character taking a list and telling Truebridge the five spells they want to work on, he may make other suggestions depending on your character's age and skill.

Alexandrie walked over to the Head Girl hesistantly, "Can I have a copy?" Alex asked already knowing from memory some spells said, she really wanted to try and figure out Stupefy. She wanted to full list to see what she wanted to really work on.

Selena walked up to the head girl. She wouldn't look like a fool right? "Excuse me, but can I have a copy of the list as well?" Selena asked. She knew loads of spells, true, but she wanted to learn more. Selena really wanted to learn ALL of them.

"Sure." Celandine held one up and offered a smile along with it.

"Of course!" Cela handed the girl one and then did some more duplicates. Then she looked over the list to choose five... which she'd be learning non-verbally.

"Professor I choose Steleus, the finger removing jinx, the sponge knees curse, Everte Statum and Confringo to work on non-verbally." She told the professor, hand up.

Then she went back to handing out copies of the list.

"Oh right.." she replied as she stood up.

Dianna walked over to the Head Girl.
"May I have a copy miss?" she asked.
