Vanessa walked over to the right side and sat down with the rest of the girls as the Professor instructed. Now what would happen? She was soooo nervous. She waved to Trixie and focused her attention back to the Professor.
Ughhhh Patrick didn't have a clue why he chose to torture himself this way. He walked over to the left side of the room and leaned against the wall. This was so embarrassing in all honesty. He spotted Aiden not to far off but of course wasn't going to say a word to the boy.
Across the room he saw Ella, Trixie, and Vanessa. Great. They were here to see him make a complete idiot of himself.
"Hey Sel! You ready?" she whispered back with a grin before the class started. She looked up to see the Professor clapping his hands. Class was in session, thought Emma.
Emma moved over to the right. What was the reason for them being separated? Aren't we just dancing?, she thought. She didn't ask anything and just did what she was told. Hopefully this would be fun.
Selena smiled at Emma. "Always," she said. Heh. She hoped. She was sure to get a seat next to Emma. Rawrs. She really hoped she didn't embarrass herself in this... it seemed quite probable.
Vindictus nodded at Chris as he joined him at the center of the room. "This is a dance lesson and a dance lesson is never complete without some basic elements of dance etiquette."
He now waited for the groans to begin.

Anna took her place in the girls' side and looked at the opposite side. She was being a freak about it, right?
Probably. And then Professor Vindictus spoke about...Etiquette. Well, it sounded like stickers...or the other word that Annie could really make her mind understand. Formality. OHMYGOSH. What were they going to do.

'Oh my GOSH! Why is he looking at me?!'
The Head Boy tried to hide himself by turning around and 'scanning' the room to see who would witness his all time embarressing moment, trying to do he best 'Don't pick me routine'.

Seeing Marie sit next to them, Evelyn smirked for a moment after hearing the question before shrugging. "I don't care. I can dance just fine." she said before looking over at Destiny. "I don't know about her though..."
Hehe.
Looking back up to the Professor when he said something about dance etiquette, Evelyn took a quick peak at the boys side. No sign of Josh. It seemed like she was seeing him less and less as the days went by. Where was he?

Gah, she was being seperated from the boys? Mkay. Violet sat over on the girls side. Oh gosh, etiquette. Violet and etiquette weren't friends. Nope. But maybe dance etiquette was better?
Patrick couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the Head Boy standing in the center with their Instructor. He let a laugh escape as the Quidditch Captain for Gryffindor started to wold whistle. Geez this was great.
Miles ran down to the Great Hall late. He was late! And to make it worse he was late to something Professor V had asked him to help with. grrrrr. Walking in he made his way to where he could see the professor and tried to catch his breath. Running down 7 floors was a very hard thing to do.

Lysandra just watched and listened. She knew you had to have good etiquette while dancing so she didn't say or do anything. She just waited for Professor Vindictus to continue.

Vanessa watched Chris walk over to the Professor and she slightly laughed at him. It was funny. She saw Patrick on the other side and she gave him a friendly wave. She thought about something though, why exactly was she taking these dance lessons? Of course for the ball..but who would be dancing with her? She didn't know but it might come handy in the future. She couldn't wait to get this over with.
Dance etiquette. Shouldn't people already know it before entering this lesson? She knew what etiquette was, it was what her mother made sure she took lessons on. That way Selena wouldn't be an embarrassment when she showed up at one of the many social gatherings her mother held. She supposed most people would absolutely hate it. She just waited for the professor to continue.
Dance etiquette?! What did that mean. Diggy perked up. What was Professor Vindictus expecting them to do? He looked around hoping other people were getting as nervous as he was.

Vindictus ignored the whistling and the giggles coming from both sides of the room. Etiquette was important and he was determined to explain why.
"Why should you or anyone care about dance etiquette? You should care because you should know how to move about in dancing circles. It makes the difference between having a happy or unhappy dancing experience, the difference between people wanting, or not wanting to dance with you," he explained. "The first thing we need to discuss is proper attire."
Again, more groans could be heard coming from the students gathered in the room.
"Now this is a ball. Can anyone tell me the type of attire that should be worn at at ball?" Vindictus asked.

Chris raised his hand to speak. "Well Professor you need to wear the correct shoes." he then thought to himself, 'Anything that could possibly make what he was doing at least look like dancing would be nice.'
Baaaccck to embarressment. Hey just because he couldn't dance didn't mean he would stop being his studius self and answer questions.

After catching his breath a grin appeared on his face and he bounced on his heels. "They should wear dress robes!" Well in this case anyway. "And a ball gown for the girls." A fancy dress basically.
He kept the grin on his face and smirked at Chris who was with Vindictus. Where was Fi? He wanted to show he could dance. He'd only been taught as a little kid at every ball his cousin had. His fingers tapped his thigh rhythmically without him even knowing it as he looked around.

Selena raised her hand before answering. "Dress robes are appropriate; for girls, dresses and nice shoes can be worn, while for boys, button up shirts, dress pants, slacks, dress shoes," Selena offered. At least that was what she had seen most of the time. In other words, fancy stuff.
"Formal attire sir," Fia spoke up as she stood from where she was sitting. Thing was, she needed a dress and she needed to find one during Christmas break IF she went home, which she had too.

Violet's hand shot up in the air. "Oooh, a cute dress for the girls, and awesome dress robes for boys! And then the cutest shoes, fancy of course for both!" she said. So, she basically just liked the cute stuff. She wasn't sure if she answered corectly, but she still wanted something cute.
Attire. Annie kind of felt babbling was coming out of her mouth. Ugh.
She raised her hand and spoke. "Umm..the attire. For ladies, a ball gown, dress...it must be coctail like...those ones we get to wear at weddings, or formal parties. And for guys, they use black or any solid colour suit, like also blue...along with a nice white shirt, tie, black shoes..." And blah blah blah, she wasn't going to speak anymore. That's all she knew from the parties she used to go back in her home.

Professor Vindictus clapped his hands rather loudly in order to get everyone's attention. "I would like for the boys to sit on the left and the girls on the right," he announced and pointed to the two distinctly separate rows of benches that flanked each side of the open floor. "Prefects need to come stand by me."

Theo frowned a little, waving a little as he left Annie's side, taking a spot across the room with the rest of the guys.
As the professor continued on with his questions Theo sat quietly, only speaking up if he knew the answer.
"I would assume the attire would be pretty formal. So dress shoes, ironed shirts... frilly dresses. That kind of thing." Could've been a bit more articulate but whatever.
