She giggled a little when she saw him...kind of get startled. Hehe. Amuuuuuuusing. Hehe. And cute. Then he took her hand and she didn't feel uncomfortable like she would've done before. Huh. Miranda held his hand firmly and tried to not grimace. Dance lesson. Fun. Well...maybe it would be. "Oh, I hope so... I apologize in advance if I step on your toes. Good thing we don't use our feets that much to play, eh?" She snorted, and rolled her eyes at herself.

Oliver? She turned to follow Brant's gaze. "Yeah, that's him." And hmmm. "I think...he looks kind of busy with that girl." Hehe. "Better not interrupt his...moon walk preperation. Hehe."

Turning back to the boy, she found that he had leant closer to whisper. Confused, she stood still, but soon a smile crept on her lips. "Oh, ha-ha," she made a face, but still smiling, playfully slapping him on his arm. "Well, that's good to hear. I promise I'll try my best....and not embarrass you here." ...here, yes - she still didn't know if they would be going together. Heh. "Got any tips? Like...what NOT to do?" Snort.

And hmmm...would Ryder be here? She really hoped he would. Miranda hadn't seen him in a while and she was SURE Sarah really missed him. Oh, and if he didn't ask Sarah to the ball, she would for sure kick his butt. Captain style.

Who, what, when, where?...

Eeeh. Annie was looking around for someone she might know (like, her boyfriend, you know), she even looked like a falcon, just when someone came to sit by her and scared her concentrated mind back into the real world.

She nodded slightly, then glanced up to see who had ended her Ohmmm moment. It was Theo, the boy she met at the great hall in the opening feast. "Hello, there..." she said, taking her sight to the crowd around them, "I guess so, I mean...this is something I've been looking for, a dance lesson and then a ball..." Sarcastically meaning, of course. She was looking forward for the dance, not the part when she has to show off her terrible dance moves.

Chris wasn't sure why he was here, well actually it was probably best that he was here, the Head Boy could NOT dance to save his life. Embarressing as this was, Professor Vindictus had requested the presence of all the Prefects but hopefully he wasn't called upon to help instruct them on the art of dance moves. Nobody wanted to learn from a Gryffindor who danced like a convulsing Hippogriff.

The Head Boy stood against the back wall, with his arms crossed looking around at the other students, some very excited and others looking as nervous as he did.

Ellie trudged into the Great Hall for the dance lessons. She wasn't sure why she was here, she could dance, though she hadn't practiced in a while...

She sighed and looked around the room. Professor Vindictus? Teaching them to dance? Now, she was interested. She looked around for someplace to sit.

Keeley nodded, giggling. Describing how weird Hogwarts is would definately be a challenge, if not impossible. Like... what other place had a giant treehouse? She blushed at the family question, even her hair turned pink. Uhh.. erm... oh goodness. "None, actually. Most of my family lives in Germany, and I lived there for a while too." Hmm... how to change the subject? Ooh! Got it! "So how old is your cousin's little girl?"

Brant squeezed Miranda's hand a bit harder. "Its ok, Its all about the lead" he said while laughing again. "Not really much tips "Bel", just don't think. Just look at me and everything should be fine. Relax and let me lead" he told her.

"Oh there was something I wanted to ask you while we were here" he said, as his face started to fade to pink.

The lead. Hm. She supposed that would be him right? Hehe.
Allright, no tips...well... Don't think. And look at him? Oh, that wouldn't be so hard. "Allright," she smiled softly, looking up at the boy, "I think I can do that." Smirk.

Ask me? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. "Yes?" She started chewing her lower lip, hoping.....and not hoping incase it wasn't what she hoped it would be. "What's...what's up, Brant?"

Professor Vindictus clapped his hands rather loudly in order to get everyone's attention. "I would like for the boys to sit on the left and the girls on the right," he announced and pointed to the two distinctly separate rows of benches that flanked each side of the open floor. "Prefects need to come stand by me."

"Well I bet theres a ton of guys lining up to ask you to the Ball, But since we are dating and what not, I was wondering..." Brant trailed off a bit, He couldn't help but smile. "If any other guy asked her to the Ball, they would have him to answer to." he thought. Then he laughed.

"If you would go to the Ball with me?" he asked while blushing again. "Gah, all this blushing its not good for me" he thought. Waiting for her answer, Brant started to get nervous. "What if she said no".

Trixie narrowed her eyes slightly. Darn it! "Well I shall see those John Travolta and moonwalks later then shall I?" she said teasingly to Oliver. "And I'll be watching to see whether your as good as you make out to be" she smirked. But then she went and sat down on the right, so glad that she had 13 years of dancing training behind her back and one of these styles include ballroom. Okay now she just wanted Milo. Where was the boy? He was the one taking her to the ball right? And she didn't really want to dance with anyone else except her own boyfriend. Unless someone asked her of course. That wouldn't hurt would it?

Carter got up and headed to the left side of the room. He hadn't seen Marie yet, hopefully she was somewhere in the room. After all, she was reason he had come. He sat down as instructed and waited for whatever was going to happen next.

Bahahaha! Destiny showed up. Evelyn seriously thought she was going to get something to eat first. Her stomach sounded like it had a crup in it...

"I thought you were headed to the kitchens..." she mumbled, before looking over to the Professor who... How in the world could he clap that loud? It echoed!!

Meh. Looking behind her at the bench behind her, Evelyn had to pause for a moment to figure out which was left and right. Eesh. Brain was acting sloooooow today!

Okay, so benches were, opposite her for girls then. "C'mon Destiny." she said, dragging her friend to the other benches before sitting down.

Lysandra stood from her seat and headed to the right side of the room and sat down again. She couldn't wait to start, but she also could wait. She didn't know who she would dance with.

Er. Vashti already didn't like where this was going. Why had she come again? Because she was a very, very stupid little girl. She went and sat on the right side as instructed by Professor Vindictus, trying not to fidget and look uncomfortable, though she was very much.

We were being seperated? That was strange. Still, Keeley waved to William and skipped to the other side of the room, spotting Trixie. Long time no see! She plopped down beside her Slytherin friend type person, blinking her silver eyes. "Hello Trixie."

Having been quietly observing most of the room, Simon was drawn out of his thoughts by the sound of clapping. He looked over at the professor as he began to speak and followed Vindictus' gaze to the benches he pointed out as for the boys. Guess the lesson is about to start he mused absently. Slipping his hands into his pockets he crossed over to one and took a seat, watching as the gathering crowded divided into two separate groups.

Before Miranda could answer Professor Vindictus, told them to seperate. "Gah, But I wanted to find out, oh well." Before leaving Miranda's side Brant told her "Tell Me Later" as he went to hide with the boys.

They were starting....

Chris sighed thankfully as Professor Vindictus told them to seperate by gender. He gladly headed over to the boys' side when he stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the next part of the instructions.

Prefects...with him....up front??!!!! His nightmare was going to come true wasn't it? The Head Boy slowly walked up to join the Flying Teacher, his hand in his pockets. "Present Professor." he said while his eyes were focussed on the ground.

Selena sighed. They had to separate? Oh wells. She stood up from her seat and walked over to the right side of the room. Rawrs. She may have years of lessons, but it didn't mean that she never fell... and if she fell she would jump off the Astronomy tower.

Okay. There goes her question of where to sit. She made her way to the right side of the room and sat next to Vashti. Shrug.

Jacob was shocked at how loudly Vindictus could clap! He almost jumped into the air. It scared him, he liked the whistle better. It didn't resound in your head as much. Jacob walked towards the left... What were the guys going to dance with guys? Okay he had to see that, to bad Jacob had to be part of it.

"Hey Sel! You ready?" she whispered back with a grin before the class started. She looked up to see the Professor clapping his hands. Class was in session, thought Emma.
Emma moved over to the right. What was the reason for them being separated? Aren't we just dancing?, she thought. She didn't ask anything and just did what she was told. Hopefully this would be fun.

He got up and moved over to the left side. He wasn't sure why he was here, it sounded fun and if he made a fool of himself he knew he wasn't going to be the only one.

Perhaps she still had a chance to escape? Shifty eyed, Destiny looked around the Hall, trying to figure out the best way to leave unnoticed. She could drop to the ground and use her elbows to crawl, like in those spy movies she seen.

How hard would it be? It wasn't like Vinny was paying atten--

Gahhhh! That loud annoying clapping! The sound made Destiny cringe and she couldn't even answer Evelyn about her trip to the kitchens. Those house elves..they definitely needed to get outside more. Angry little guys and girls, that's for sure.

As she started to get dragged away, for a second there she thought it was their escape, but boy was she wrong! Noooo! She didn't want to sit!

Wait? What was Evelyn doing here in the first place!?

Marie had been heading across the room looking for Carter when she was so rudely interrupted by Professor Vinny and his very LOUD hands.

Now she would have to wait to talk to Carter. Spotting Evelyn and Destiny she went to sit with them. "Hey guys, are you ready for this?" she asked as she nudged Destiny in the side. Yep, Destiny was going to have to dance with a boy and risk getting cooties.

Looking over at the boys she finally spotted Carter. Yes, he showed up. Hopefully that meant he was planning on asking her to go to the Ball with him... right? Why else would he be here if he wasn't going to ask her.
