Slightly breathless but luckily not dizzy from all that spinning, Emmy did a quick calculation and said, "I think I must have been there for about... Oh, four years? Maybe four and a half. Quite a while, anyway! Sometomes I wish I could go back, but I wouldn't miss this for the world! And I still do the summer workshops with them, so it's not too bad..."

"D'you know, you are sooo lucky?! I always wished I had the courage to climb out of my window when I was little! You're moving out? Wow, where to? Anywhere in mind, or just wherever you can that's away from your parents?" she said with a wink. "I'm not sure how much longer I can go I'm afraid - I'm getting a bit tired! Could we sit down for a while?"
That was quite reasonable, she thought, after all, they had been dancing for quite a while!

Jacob laughed and nodded. "Yeah, tempting." But if Jacob didn't really need to get in trouble for that. "But then again, we don't want you to be taken out of the match for that." he said then looked over at vindictus. "And Professor Vindictus would probably kill you if that happened, but maybe..." Jacob started looking for the slytherin players. "If we ust take out the seeker it would look more like an accident, or the keeper." a mischeivous smiled creeped across his face. Ravenclaw really needed to get the cup back and he usually didn't get these ideas. Jacob quickly shook it out. No matter how desperate he was for the cup. He wasn't going to be disqualified from the game.

Well it wasn't like it suprised him that she couldn't dance. And in someways it was good, he wouldn't have to deal with being yelled at for being a terrible dancer. Jacob started to move with Nia, glancing at the others to make sure he didn't look like an idiot. What about himself, "well I breath to stay alive" what else? "Eating healthy foods and excersising is good for me." What was he supposed to say. That was so vague. Jacob hated those weird moments where there was nothing to say. What could they both talk about? "How long have you been playing Quidditch?" he asked... well it was something. At least he knew that Quidditch was a subject that they both liked

Cameron sighed.[I] Talk to him?[\I] could Torin even hear himself? "Torin, this is Oliver." It was unlikely conversation about her weird, messed up emotional state would get her anywhere plus he'd made it quite clear he just wanted to be friends and didn't want to jeopardize that for anything.

Hints? Er.. Cameron would
probably be oblivious to an elephant passing right by her let alone Oliver's bloody hints. "Not that I know of.. he asked me to the ball thingo but he just wanted to go as friends - it was kinda a sympathy thing really."

And they were kinda dancing ! She burst out a smile absolutely jubilant she'd managed to do something without making a fool of herself. At precisely that moment,Oliver and Brody appeared out of nowhere and made some spectaculary showy drop thing that made Cam fear for her eyes when Brody's heeled shoe went up like that. In an attempt to move away from the pair, Cameron stumbled and fell straight on her behind. Cheeks flaming she got up and tolled her eyes.

"I think that's enough dancing for today." Pushing past Torin, she swung open the doors and fled.

Waltzing really wasn't her thing.

Carter laughed. "It poured... but the weather report said it was going to do that anyway. I don't think my dancing had anything to do with it." he said.

He laughed and blushed as Marie commented on liking his cooties.

"Alright." he said. He listened to the beats in the music and looked around at everyone else one final time. "Okay, I'm going to step forward with my left foot, and you step backwards with your right." he instructed. He waited for the correct beat and then stepped forward. Oh yeah, he was a quick learner. "So it looks like that was 1 out of 3 steps. Dancing isn't to hard."

"It's the only way I can sneak out of my room." Kel explained, laughing lightly. "And it's actually not so bad. There's a limb right next to my window, so it's easy to get onto." He shrugged one shoulder at her next question. "Just away." he said, amused that she'd guessed the right reason. "I'm thinking about getting a small flat in London, or just renting a room at the Leaky Cauldron. Whatever works, ya know?"

"Oh!" Oh yeah, of course. They'd been dancing for quite some time... Kel started to lead them over to one of the tables on the side of the Great Hall. "Here you are," he said cheerfully, spinning her away from him as he stopped dancing. "Thank you for the dance, Emmy," he added with a smile.

Simon was so getting into this dance now and he had to say that she was a great dancer so he did. "Can I just say you are a great dancer." Simon smiled, he wondered if they would be doing to Tango or something with a lift in, he would love to do something like that. "Oh that is great." Simon smiled as he started to get faster. "Tell me when I get too fast." He smiled at her.

Emmy sat down gratefully at the table. Catching her breath, she corrected him, "Thank you! Just so's you know - you really are a fantastic dancer!" she said shyly, glancing down at her knees.
"I hope you get your flat ok... See you around?" She really would have to owl her mother soon, but her feet needed a rest...

"Really?" Kel asked, surprised. "Well, thanks! You too." He inclined his head to her as he took a step backward. "Thank you, and yeah, hope to see you around. At the ball, right?" he winked, hoping that she'd get someone to go with her to the ball.

And now, what was he going to do? He'd take a break, for a minute. Then, maybe he'd see if someone else needed a dance partner.

Delilah smiled. "Really?" She asked. This was only her first time dancing. She didn't think she could be good. She fell into step as Simon went faster.

Simon smiled. "Yeah you are." He said as he concentrated on his footwork, he didn't want to look silly so he needed to be 100 percent focussed on his dance. "Want to be friends?" He asked Delilah suddenly, well here he was dancing with someone he hardly know and he hadn't even asked if they wanted to be friends, he of course was still dancing whilest asking this.

"Well, Thanks." Delilah laughed. "And yeah, I'd like to be friends."

"Well you're definitely not terrible. At least you haven't stepped on my feet." Theo cleared his throat and laughed. "I'm not really sure about the Ball though, I think it'll definitely be..." Pausing for the right word, "interesting.... There will definitely be a lot of people there."

How long were they supposed to keep dancing with no instruction? Trying not to be too obvious Theo looked around for Vindictus. Were they supposed to do anything else?

Simon smiled as he continued to do the waltz. "I am glad that you want too be friends with me." He said as he gave her a huge smile, well weren't dancers suppost to smile because it was fun. "I want to see your biggest smile." Simon said suddenly.

Whatever Torin wanted to say to her about Oliver right now didn't matter as she was suddenly fleeing the room on him. And he knew why.

He glanced at Oliver and Brody and scowled at the Slytherin. Really? Did he think that acting that way was good for the poor girl? It wouldn't win Oliver any points in Cameron's book.

And he was also partnerless again now.

He headed over to his fellow Prefect who was also partnerless. "Care for a dance, beautiful lady?" he winked at her, ever the gentleman.

Violet laughed. "I guess so." she replied. "Yeah I agree." She saw Theo look for Vinny. "Do you know how long were suppose to dance?" she asked. I mean they were dancing for awhile now and Vinny didn't even say a word, it was awkward.

Brant was laughing to himself hearing her having a good time. "Of course I am a good Dancer "Bel"." he said winking at her. Spinning and Spinning around, Brant got looks at all the other couples dancing. Seemed to him everyone was having a good time.

"Wha....." Brant just stopped dancing.

They were standing in the middle of the floor.

"We are going to go to the ball together" Brant wasn't really that surprised but he was just really excited. Plus they were having such a good time he thought she would have totally forgotten about Brant asking her to the Ball. Slowly starting to dance again, Brant couldn't help but Kiss her on her hand.

This was the first time He has ever done that to Miranda. "Hopefully not the last" he thought. He really loved her, like true love.

Continuing to do what they were told Theo sighed and looked back at her. " Yeah I'm not sure... I would've thought we'd get some instruction at this point." He looked around at the other students there, they didn't seem to mind.

Marie laughed when Carter said it was suppose to rain anyway. "Well maybe the weather repost was wrong. Or maybe your dancing made the rain start sooner than it was suppose to."

Okay, now to learn how to dance and actually move her feet... without stepping on any toes. She watched the others for a minute and listened to Carter. "Right, backwards with right foot," she repeated. When he stepped forward, she stepped back. "Yeah, we're moving now," she laughed.

Delilah smiled really big and started laughing. "It's weird... I've never tried to smile big." She said still laughing. She tried again trying not to laugh this time. "There. Now it's your turn. Show me yours."

As they danced, or at least tried to dance to the waltz tune, Annie nodded in agreement towards the comment about rich spoiled kids. "Yeah, they mostly turn out like that..." She whispered, then shrugged a bit.

"Oh yes. As far as my life plan goes, I'm willing to play soccer professionally, for the Barcelona Women's team...I'm just waiting for the recruitment time, and for me to be eighteen years old." Sigh. It was still a long way to go.

Looks like Kellen didn't care about her stepping on his foot. She just shrugged and tried to forget about the deal. "See how rusty I am on this? You might end up with your feet all swollen and red at the end of this lesson..." And that's when Drew stepped in and asked for Annie to be her dance partner now.

Theo would have to wait a bit longer.

"But...but...you are late and well..." Anyways, the first steps of waltz had been done. Annie had a good time talking and waltzing with Kellen. "Thanks, Kellen. And I hope to see you at the ball..." She bowed her head a bit then smiled to the boy. She let go of Kellen's hand and shoulder, then turned to Drew.

Mhmm. Time to talk to the boyfriend. "You, late...again." She said, frowning. Showing her hand for him to hold, she tried to smile then stepped in towards Drew. "I hope you know where to put your hand, Sparks..." Annie told Drew, raising her eyebrows.

"Yeah, maybe he wants us to dance better or something." she replied, moving kinda swiftly now.

One two three- One two three- One two- Eh?
Miranda, confused as to why they had stopped, teared her eyes away from their feet up to Brant, wondering what was up. Everyone around them were still dancing...so...?

Miranda snorted hearing Brant's remark. "Um, yeah, we are." Hehe... She felt the blushing again, but it was nothing when he kissed her hand. Oh... ...um... One two three, one two three... Heh. "Thanks for asking me. I'm lucky to have you as a dance partner, Brant." She smiled, "Plus, you''re not such a bad guy either." She smirked, hoping he'd get she was laying it on thin with the compliments. She was glad to have met the guy, but this whole pour your heart out thing was still a bit difficult to her. Sigh.

"So...what's the Gryffindor Captain going to be wearing? Wizard or Muggle clothes?" Hehe.

Well at least it was a start. His mom couldn't stay mad at him for that. He had waved.

He had hugged a girl before so why was this so awkward? Abbi had her hand on his shoulder and it was making him nervous. So he smiled and just started to move them slowly as he made sure not to step on her toes or anything. He hoped he was going the right speed. "So um...." He didn't just want to twirl around without saying anything. "What year are you?" he asked her. It wasn't an everyday occurrence that he was taller than someone and he hoped she was younger than him. He turned them around on the spot and kept moving.

Evan was really glad Mina was here, it'd be too embarrassing to dance with someone total stranger. He smiled. Yes, he could learn with Mina. Swaying a bit, he decided it was time to take a step. Afraid of doing something wrong, he slowly took a step to the side while he tried to turn Mina. He hoped he was doing it right, or else, it'd be extremely embarrassing... but really, this was his first dance, and he definately wasn't a talent at it.

Twirling lazily he smiled, "Anyway, back to the conversation we were having, my cousin's little girl is about 4 months old now." he replied smiling a bit as he looked down, stepping back a bit so he wouldn't step of her toes. He smiled, not feeling as nervous as he did when they first began dancing. Waltzing wasn't so hard he mused tilting his head, "They used to live in Romania, researching dragons. Very interesting." he said, just saying something off the top of his head.
