Selena prevented herself from rolling her eyes again. Sure she was going to remember her names. She's been lied to since forever, Selena knew when someone was lying to her. Selena just merely shrugged. "I guess so, we don't really have much of a choice here do we?" Selena said. She had to bite her tongue at the end so she didn't say anything else disrespectful. Ugh. Why did she have to have manners? Sometimes she just really wanted to curse someone out!

OMG.

This people were giving Destiny a headache. She took a quick look over at Truebridge. If he found out they weren't getting along, he was sure to take points. Hopefully, the younger Slytherins would realize that, and stop with their attitudes.

"Okay, so I don't know who this Flower person is you are talking about." she said as she looked around the room, hoping to see a ginormous walking flower. When she didn't see one, she frown a bit and looked back at the group. Right. Perhaps these too were a little wonky-brained. They should be over there with Raccoon Girl and her herd of badgers. She soon learned they were calling Evelyn Flower. Heehee.

As the minutes, or seconds, who knew, ticked on, progress seemed to increase! They were actually agreeing to the human shield thing. It was only supposed to be a joke, but hey, it seemed to stop the arguing..for now. She smiled at her brilliant idea, and then nodded. "Right. I think we are ready!"

Perhaps a high-five was in order.

Alex nodded surprised the Slytherin third year agreed with her. "Agreed Flower." She told her beaming.

Selena bit back a giggle from... Malfoy-Lupin's comment. She took this opportunity to stick her hand in her pocket and pull out a chocolate to stuff into her mouth. She faked a cough as she popped the chocolate in. Selena swallowed it quickly. mmm. Sugar. "Okay, guess we start now," Selena sighed. 'Ready or not, here I come...' Selena thought to herself.

Nodding at everyone, except glaring at Lufoy since apparently she can't get her name right, and it seemed now she was going to be named Flower forever and always *sigh*, Evelyn shifted her wait to her other foot before glancing at the Professor. "Good. But I think we are supposed to wait for the Professor. And it's Flores. NOT Flower. Unless you have a hearing problem or something."

Alex frowned at the comment, "Well some of us are bad at names Ms I'm so perfect I can't get anything wrong." Alex was angry but was holding it in..other then that sarastic comment. "Yeah we are after all he's nice to give us some time to plannnn." She streched out the word plan just to annoy her. Alex was allowed to after all.

"Can't you two stop bickering?" Selena snapped. Oops. She didn't just say that. Off button. Off button! "How do you plan on even working together later if you can't even talk to each other civilly?" Selena said. She was going to lose house points! Oh no. Please don't! Off button! She really needed an off button. "Flores, Flower, whatever your name is, don't treat us like we're all so insignificant, because believe it or not, we have feelings and you were a first year two years ago," Selena added, "And... Malfoy-Lupin, I think, making her mad, won't help in the end, so don't bother," Selena said angrily, but not loudly. She really hoped that the professor wouldn't take off house points.

Alex smiled at the girl forcing herself to calm down. "Alright, you're right." Alex was just not going to talk to Flores. Ever.

"Looks like you're all ready. Alright, remember you may only use shielding spells that we have talked about in this lesson. Last house standing will win."

Truebridge let the balls go, five of each colour and they fell towards the suits of armour.



Three green balls bounced off the barriers keeping them above the duelling platform.


A red ball fell to the ground and bounced between two suits of armour.


A suit of armour slashed its sword towards a blue ball, while another blue ball bounced off its helmet.

The yellow balls fell unimpeded.

Truebridge cast a flurry of ice at a group of hufflepuffs, not fast enough to hurt them, just enough to test them a bit.



ooc: its okay if more than one person reacts to the same thing. Just remember if its not your house balls, then you can't say they burst. Be creative and feel free to ask any questions you like.

Alex gasped at three of their balls going next to the suits of armour. She poked the two protectors arms hard and pointed snapping, "Do your job!" Her own hand grapsing her wand pulling it from her ear where she had tucked it.

Selena groaned and sighed. Since they weren't doing anything... Selena pointed at a green beach ball. "Contego green beach ball!" Selena said preventing one of the them from getting slashed by the sword of the armour.

Staring at the Riddle girl, Evelyn scoffed and crossed her arms since the Professor already started speaking. She wasn't talking to them like they were insignificant. She was just getting the facts! And if she were able to speak again, she would THEN talk to them like they were insignificant. Pfft.

Moving to the platform, and with a quick glance to Lufoy, Riddle, and Destiny, she raised her wand, ready for whatever came next. This was, actually slightly nerve wracking for some reason. So much different than a quidditch game or a duel.

Watching the balls fall towards the suits of armour, she picked out the green ones and raised her wand, hoping Destiny was doing the same. "Contego Green beach ball! Contego beach ball!" she yelled out as well as creating the upwards zig zag motion of her wand in the general direction of the beach balls.

Cadence's eyes widened as the Professor said they were starting. Only, like, 4 of them had gathered! That wasn't even enough to protect all the balls, let alone go with her plan! Turning back to them, she whispered hurriedly. "Okay! New plan! I'm going to concentrate on protecting all the balls! I've got good aim, and I'm fast. The rest of you, cover me, and if I miss a ball, protect it!" she said whipping her head around just in time to see the yellow balls fall. "Contego Beach Ball! Contego Beach Ball! Contego Beach Ball! Contego Beach Ball! Contego Beach Ball!" she cast at all five balls very quickly, completely missing the ice heading her way.

She could only hope someone reacted to it quickly.

Gold's first impulse was a choice between Protego and Impiriano, the two shield-charms that she most often used. The sixth year settled on neither, in a time-span of perhaps less than half a second.

"Someone cover me?" Eyes trained on the red ball, she gave an upward zig-zaggish movement of her wand -- "Contego red beachball."

Well.

Selena heard the scoff and rolled her eyes. Her violet eyes darted back and forth making sure no one was directing any other spells at them. Mm... all the green beach balls were up in the air right now, that was good...

Patroclus acted as Gold called for cover. Seeing the first ball between two suits of arm was a little stressful, would have been nice for Truebridge to ease us in, He thought.

Choosing his spell, Patroclus made to help Gold protect the ball, so made a short arc with determination, he called "Protego!"

Oh good! She wasn't alone, in this. Gold gave Patroclus a little nod, but her eyes were still on the red!ball, for the most part. Thankfully, it had not burst, and was pretty much fine. Free of damage.

That was good, right?

Seriously? These people..

Destiny just shook her head. It was no fun bickering with these people.

Also, there was no time! The beach balls were released! She stood there, just watching the rainbow of colors fly and bounce all over the place. Only when she heard spells did she realize she needed to do something! Since only two of the beach balls were protected, Destiny drew her wand and pointed at the last one, "Contego green beach ball!"

Protected!

"Good. Keep it up." Truebridge called.


Truebridge cast a crowd of birds at Destiny.

A shielded green ball rebounded off of a sword and flew up in the air again, the shield fading just as it bounced down to rebound off of a shield going who knew where.

A red beach ball managed to keep its shield as a suit of armour thwacked at it repeatitively with its sword. It bounced away up in the air again, the shield fading as it bumped into another red ball.

Two yellow balls somehow got stuck together and they wobbled slowly in the air, a perfect target for an over enthusiastic suit of armour.


A blue beach ball burst on the sharp edge of a shield. Another bounced off the ground and soared up in the air again.

Truebridge cast ice at Patroclus

Alex reacted before she knew it, "Revertoscutum!" she shouted seeing a flock of birds heading for Destiny. Birds meet the over powerful shield finally turning into eggs.

EEP!

Looking up at all the green balls, she couldn't tell whether the beach balls were shielded or not once they were hit, and being Evelyn, she just decided to cast another shield on the one that was hit. And she also heard a bunch of birds yelling their brains out too.

Ummm... "Contego green beach ball!" she said with the same upwards and zig zag motion of the wand. Best be safe then sorry! Now, where did those birds...

Eggs. There were eggs pelting them now. Great...

Alex glanced around her wand at the ready for more threats. She could see Flores disgusted face. "Well sorry but revertoscutum was the best chance against Avis." she told her getting back on the task of protecting the Protectors..

BAD suit of armour! "Protego!" Gold said, with something like a frown, as she gave an upward arc-like movement of her wand.

Nooo, two balls!

"Contego red beach ball!" Gold said, with the appropriate zig-zaggish movement. The spell was directed at the point between the two balls. They needed to stay away from each other. "Contego red beach ball! Contego red beach ball!"

There. Now they were up in the air, again. They hadn't burst, ANDDD they had shields. That was as much as Gold could do, all at once. Well, there was more, but she wanted to concentrate on one task, as of now.

WAIITT!

"Watch out, Patroclus!"

Mina frowned as she noticed one of their beach balls burst. It looked like it might be up to her to try to keep them in the running. Raising her wand, she focused on their bouncing beach ball and cast. "Contego Blue Beach Ball!"

Arya listen to the older Hufflepuff as she quickly decided that she would be the one to shield the yellow beach balls. Giving her a small nod, she turned around on her heals just in time to see ice heading straight at them. Reacting quickly she pointed her wand infront of her.

"Revertoscutum!"

An icey turquoise colored shield formed infront of her, Candace and maybe one or two other badgers just in time to shield them from the ice. Unfortunantly she didn't think about the after affects of using this shield and was sprayed with water and the ice transformed. She wasn't drenched, just alittle damp. It was livable. Who knows if her housemates were showered with water, or how the beach balls were holding up.
