This was a nice lesson, and Sarah wandered into it with a smile on her face. A smile that got broader at the sight of Lori sat by one of the desks, and Trixie not far away from her. Giving Professor Carlton a nod and a quick "Good day, Professor!" Sarah made her way over to them and sat down next to Lori.
Not saying a word, so not to get into trouble, bad thing for a Prefect, that Sarah just leant into Lori and rested against her arm, grinning goofily. Lifting up the table cloth to see what was underneath, she shrugged as she saw nothing, and looked back up to the front of the class.

Luna walked into the classroom quite gracefully. It was hard to admit but Charms was actually her favourite classroom. Luna was quite smart she actually loved most of her classes and studied hard. But that didnt mean she didnt want a break.
Luna sat next to a boy who had just pointed out a girls heels and how they were not suitable for the learning enviorment. Luna smiled at the boy was it strange that actually liked him? "Hi, I'm Luna" she said introducing herself.
Freeman resented being referred to as 'a straggler'. He was on time. Class had not started. It wasn't even the top of the hour yet. Phbbbbt.
"Good morning, Professor," he greeted, hiding a rather cool tone. It was expected to greet your professors. He would meet social expectations, even if he didn't know if this class would be meeting his expectations.
He sat next to a girl who was wearing rather large, impractical, purple shoes. With studs on them. He pointed. "Excuse me," Freeman couldn't help interject, "Are those going to be beneficial to the learning environment today?"
Fallon looked up as a younger boy sat next to her. And then he insulted her shoes?! Well, that's what it sounded like. "I really don't care if they are or not. I like wearing them." This kid had no reason to ask her that question. None whatsoever.

Okay. Shuffle. Shuffle. And runn into Charms before slowing down and making sure not to hurt anyone."More professor." Shana went and sat randomly by herself because she didn't really wanna distrub anyones conversations. Charmsssss. Charms-eyyy. Charmss-ity-charms charms. Shana like loved Charms, why ? because she could acctually answer some on the questions. She sat still waiting for the lesson to start, playing with her shoe laces as she did so. She looked at the table. Oooohey, pretty cloth. She poked it before placing her hands on her lap incase she like ripped it.

"Can I sit?" She asked, feeling like she should ask just incase she actually wanted to be alone..
Lifting her head once as someone spoke to her, -- or you know, said her name in a variation-- Lori smiled softly. "Just thinking about things." Things. Yeah.
She nodded her head quickly, patting the seat beside her, but chuckled softly next. "You can go sit with Trixie, I don't miiiind. I have Sarah now." Not being mean or nothing.

"Same to you, Miss Malfoy," Lexi said, observing that Trixie seemed to be in a really cheerful mood. "Oh, it's treating me alright. I can't complain." She'd ask how Trixie was, but she had a feeling the girl was doing just fine...more than fine, really.

More? Hmm. Lexi had never heard that expression before, but it was always cool to learn something new. "More to you, too, Miss Miller," she said, still wondering what in Merlin's name the expression meant. Reason: Changing post because the class had started. >_<
Alex rose her hand after a moment, "The messenger spell, if I recall the name correct." Alex stated afterwards hoping she was right on that. "It's a spell that sends a message in the form of a paper Air plane and flys towards the person it is meant for." Alex explained.

Reason: Forgot to explain what it was.
Diggy was swinging his legs under the desk as he sat at his chair waiting for the class to start. He blinked as Professor Carlton stood up. All thought emptied out of his head. She was like a goddess with a swirl of cotton candy around her head. His hand rose automatically, "They can use mirrors Professor Carlton," he breathed as his whole face flushed. he wasn't used to talking to her directly in full sentences.

Fallon smiled up at Professor Carlton. She grinned as she saw the Professor eyeing her shoes. Yeah, they weren't the most practical things, but they were gorgeous. And some of Fallon's favorite shoes.
Fallon sat up in her seat as the lesson began. She was stuck next to that boy and she was just going to ignore him and the girl who had sat herself next to him.
Simple. Fallon raised her hand. "Well, Professor Carlton, you can use an owl. Or if you have the capability to use a patronus charm, you can send messages that way."
This was a nice lesson, and Sarah wandered into it with a smile on her face. A smile that got broader at the sight of Lori sat by one of the desks, and Trixie not far away from her. Lori smiled at the Professor and nodded. "I'm doing alright, thanks." Alright meaning she was tired, and wanted to go home, and not come back because one of her best friends wasnt. Yeah. She was alright. EH.

Trixie shuffled along a bit so she was sat nearer to Lori, Cameron and Sarah, not wanting to be a loner herself. She grinned at them each individually.
Trixie raised her hand to answer the professors question. Communicate with each other? Well that was a fairly easy question. "Professor" she announced. "Well you could always use the owl post" she grinned. That was the most common way of communication between magic folk. "And the patronus messenger charm. Allowing your patronus to communicate for you" she smiled happily again Well this was charms class, so a charm was a good answer really. "Then there's the obvious way of through portraits. Sending messages from one to another ina different location.
And there was one final charm. "How about the protean charm?" she suggested seeing as this hadn't been said yet. Although she wasn't exactly sure how it worked. But she knew that messages could be disguised and passed on in this way.
Fallon smiled at Cameron as she offered her a seat. Unfortunately, the lesson had already started so Fallon couldn't move. Maybe when they went on to the practical part of the lesson she would move over by Cameron and her friends. It would be better than sitting with the boy that had poked fun at her shoes.
"The most common way of wizard communication is probably by using owls, to send messages. Or if you have the ability to use a patronus to carry a message"
Jacob raised his hand, there was one way he knew. "Aren't there magic mirrors that can be used to comunicate?" right? that was a communication thing, either that or owls... which was most common.

Marie sat there at the back of the room sort of listening to what was going on. She was tired and in a bad mood today. She hadn't slept much the night before thanks to Kay. She just knew that girl was up to something and she was going to find out what it was. Kay had not talked to Carter all term and now all of a sudden she wanted to know what his parents were going to say about something. Yeah, those two were keeping something from her and it was NOT making her happy at the moment.
Hearing what the others were saying she decided not to answer the question. The others had already said what she was thinking and well, what was the point in repeating the same thing over and over. She would just wait until the next question to try and answer.

Listening to all the answers, Evelyn thought about it for a moment, leaning her elbow on the table and holding her head up with her hand. Hmmm, ways of communication. "Well, they don't always have to be long messages to communicate to someone or a bunch of people do they?" she asked after raising her hand before continuing. "I mean, you can mark something with magic to get their message across. Like the flagrate spell. Or the dark mark that was used in the past. Those can get a message across pretty quickly and...well, communicate to others."
Smiling softly, as Sarah took the seat Cammy would have, Lori patted her head lightly as she leant into her, and rested against her arm. Wasn't the prefect so cute? Hehe!
Hehe, head patting. Her friend's were so adorable, and she suddenly felt like a puppy. But Sarah resisted the urge to purr or growl quietly, 'cause that would be strange, especially in a classroom. Instead she gave her friend a wink, and glanced over in the direction of some of the other seats, where she spotted.....

Freeman stared at the shoe girl in puzzlement. Didn't she know that clothing was, by design, supposed to be functional? "You just like them?" This was baffling. "But. . . the construction of the shoe is completely inefficient. How did you climb all those stairs? And the heel of the shoe is so thin, it's bound to break if you attempt to run."
He gave a wave to the Luna who had suddenly materialized next to him, and put a stern finger to his lips. Discussing shoes was a necessity, regardless of the class. Exchanging names and pleasantries could wait.
Heheheh. It was so ridiculous. Everyone had named all possible modes of communication but the most obvious. Cavemen, all of them. Freeman raised his hand.
"Professor. . . wizards talk. And plenty of people scream like barbarians at Quidditch games."
He could totally argue that talking required magic. Especially talking to girls. That required a miracle.

Iris looked at Professor Carlton as she answered everyone, and then addressed the next question. Quidditch. Greeeeeeat. Iris knawed on the inside of her lips as she thought about the question, before putting her hand up. "Well... I suppose we'd wear our team's colours to show our support.... And some people would use charms to charm things like flags and badges to change colour and talk." She paused for a minute. "Wouldn't most people make, like, banners or something to show their support? Like, out of a large piece of parchment or fabric. You could use charms to animate the message on the banner."
Iris nodded to herself a little, and sank into her seat.
