She watched him, with her head propped on one hand and her elbow leaning on the desk. She smirked as he tried to make it all dramatic. Iris's grin only got better when it didn't work. She just sat there, smiling. EYE ROLL. Jimbo needed his head deflating. She'd figure something out later. "No. You don't win. It was luck. You didn't really get it, because you were aiming for four colours. But you only achieved three." She stuck her tongue out at him and grinned. She didn't reeally have a point. She just didn't want him believing that he'd 'won'. Iris picked up her paintbrush and begun painting away, completely ignoring Jimbo. She could hear him practicing the spell some more, but she didn't look up to see how amazing he'd gotten at the spell. She just carried on painting. And ignoring the fact that her snake looked more like a mutant Pacman than a serpent. Hehe. |
So awesome, it was time to make a flashing picture. She grabbed some paper and began to draw. She is not the best artist so she stuck to hearts and and stars. She felt it made since she loved being a Gryffindor and and she felt Gryffindor is a beautiful star that never seases to shine. She finished off her picture Writing Gryffindor rules right in the miggle with a gold marker in cursive. Now it was time to color animate in colors but she did not want to just animate the backround color. Oh no, she decided ro animate the pictures instead she wanted animate the colors of the pictures on her poster. She pointed her wand at the heart and said, "Coloros fugleo pink to white". She saw it happen right before her eyes, it was so cool. She then pointed her wand at the piddle of her star and said, "coloros fugleo red to blue", and that happened too. She then pointed her wand at her last two stars on the outside and said, "coloros fugleo pink to blue and thats just what happened, flashing from pink to blue stars. She felt she was done and she smiled at her finshed product. finished product: |
Iris looked at her picture, feeling quite happy with it. Even though the snake STILL looked like mutant!Pacman... She picked up her wand and pointed to the grey parts of the picture. "Colourus Fulgeo Grey to Green!" Yes. She was going to just keep her painting simple. hehe. She looked at the snake. What colours could she change it to? She tapped the snake and then made the circles. One right, one left. "Colourus Fulgeo Green to Lime!" Then she pointed it at the traingles on the snake. Waving her wand in a circle right and then a circle left, "Colourus Fulgeo Yellow to Pink!" Sitting back, Iris looked at her picture and smiled. She was quite proud of it. Even it was very basic and simple. They were showing off their charms skills, not their painting skills, no? So it didn't really matter how elaborate her painting skills were. She then picked up her quill and pulled over some normal parchment. Why did she choose to make her poster like this? Well... Uh. It was spontaneous! She didn't really plan that she was going to make it... She used the green and silver for house pride... and wrote that because the Snakes were CLEARLY better than the Lions. But that was just about it... there was nothing else to it! Iris sat there, looking at her parchment, figuring out how to word "I chose to plan my poster like this because it was all spontaneous. I didn't plan my poster." in a way that would earn her more points. |
OOC: I realize some of you are still working on parts of the assignment, but I just wanted to post a little reminder all the same. I still need a ten-sentence paragraph describing the banner from a few of you. You'll still get points without the paragraph, but the banner itself is worth 10, and the paragraph worth 5. Also, please don't forget to PM me a link to the post containing your banner and paragraph (plus your username, character's name/year, house, and member number). Also, I shortened everyone's quoted posts to just the part with the banner and paragraph, but I did read everything! ^_^ Quote:

Yes, the professor like it but now she was to write 10 sentences on her poster. She had a lot of things going through her head as she made her poster so she knew this part would be easy. Parchment to turn in: Quote:

Destiny waited until Evelyn was finished her banner before she really got into her own. It was just that she wanted to make sure Evelyn wouldn't copy off of her. She didn't want her friend to get in trouble for being a COPY CAT! Nodding at Evelyn and her Opting out of drawing any things, since her drawing skills were HORRIBLE, she placed the paintbrush down and picked up her wand. 'Twas time to make the colors flash! "Colorus Fulgeo Silver to Green." she said and tapped the letters that she had wrote. Not caring that the tip of her wand was now silver, she gave the movement of a complete circle to the right, then a complete circle to the left. Bahahahahaha! The letters were flashing! Now that THAT was done, she needed to work on her paragraph. SPOILER!!: Paragraph! SPOILER!!: Prepare to be amazed, by Destiny's AWESOME banner! And I'm only kidding. :P "Professor! I'm done!" |
Rex thought and thought about the poster, well how about two he thought to himself? Rex has got it. The Gryffindor symbol plus Quidditch. Another poster will be of Rex's favorite Quidditch team "The HolyHead Harpies." Well for the first poster, he needed red and yellow paint on the white background. Rex got gold and green paint for the colors of the HolyHead Harpies. Rex starts on the first poster. He takes awhile but the picture on the first poster is coming together nicely. The second poster took a little longer. Wow, it looks good.Hopefully the teacher will like the poster. " Thanks for the interesting assignment" Rex told the teacher. SPOILER!!: Two posters |
Legend had been quite the whole class but it wasn't because he wasn't paying attention. Nope. Because he actually was. It was because the word Quidditch had come up. And now they were basically making Quidditch banners? Well...house banners but...still. Legend looked down at his empty paper and then closed his eyes. He wanted something that no one would do. Something original but....maybe funny? Nah he didn't need something funny really just something original. Something different. Opening his eyes quickly the Gryffindor's eyes lit up. HE GOT IT! Grabbing a paintbrush some colors and even some chalk and charcoal that he had in his pocket (don't ask....Legend wasn't really normal) he began his masterpiece. The paintbrush danced under his hand as if he were moving on his own. His mind was thinking it but the paintbrush, was doing all the work. Or so it seemed. Dropping the paintbrush he began working with the charcoal and then after the chalk and then it was ALMOST finished. "Colorus Fulgeo pink to lime green!" After making the confusing movement with his wand it was COMPLETE! Now the description was left. Meh, this sucked. Taking his quill he scribbled down a few lines of what his banner meant to him. "Here Professor Carlton" Legend said holding out his banner and his paper. SPOILER!!: Legend's Epicness SPOILER!!: His description |
The finished product, don't be jealous. HAHA! Marie finished working quietly on her first banner making sure the colors were just right. Once it was finished she set it off to the side to let the paint dry while she worked on the second banner. She laid out the new banner paper, got a different brush and different paint colors for this one. She smiled as she worked on this one. This banner was going to show her support for one person in particular, her awesome boyfriend. Once this banner was finished she set it off tothe side to dry while she cleaned up her work area. She took the paints back to the front, cleaned the brushes and put them away, then went back to see if the banners were ready for the finishing touches... the flashing charm. Seeing that the second banner was still a little wet she decided to work on her description of her banners. When her paragraphs were finished it was finally time to make the banners flash. Grabbing the first banner she pointed her wand at it. "Colorus Fulgeo, Green to Silver!" she said with a circle to the right and a circle to the left and a tap on the green background. She then did the same with the letters. "Colorus Fulgeo, Silver to Green!" Now to change the second banner. "Colorus Fulgeo, Red to Gold!" and the background started to flash. "Colorus Fulgeo, Gold to Red!" and now the letter too were flashing. Looking at both banners she was satisfied with her work. "Professor Carlton, I'm finished with my banners." SPOILER!!: Some Awesome Banners |

Oh Professor Carlton approved of both. Big Grin. "Thank you, ma'am," Sarah nodded, smiling at the woman warmly. She really did enjoy doing Charms, and Professor Carlton certainly made it more fun. "I'll go and place it all with the others, then go. If you don't mind?" A quizzical glance followed her question, but as that is what everyone else who had finished had done, she carried on with that plan. Collecting the now dry painting, and piece of written work, Sarah wandered over to the pile of drawings and left hers with them. Then she made her way to the teachers desk, putting her paragraph on the top of the pile. Back at her desk, she bent down and collected her bag. "Thanks for the great lesson, Professor," she grinned, giving her a small wave as she headed out the door. |

Not laughing at Destiny, of course, but at some of the things she could come up with. Like...getting revenge on the Slytherin seeker for not catching the snitch. Or, at least, that's what her banner said, Lexi finally saw. With a slight smile on her face, she said, "Looks good, Miss Sheperd. I don't think you'll have any problems convincing the seeker to catch that snitch now." "If you're all done and ready to turn everything in, the banner goes on the far side of the room with the rest of them, and the paragraph goes on my desk," she added. Quote:

Her voice trailed off as she thought about the Quidditch official's reaction. No doubt he wouldn't think the banner to be as amusing as Lexi had. "Thank you, Mr. Chosen, for sharing that bit of creativity with us. Once you've turned in your banner, you're free to go." Quote:

"Oh, no, I don't mind. Go ahead and turn in your assignment and feel free to leave. I'm glad you liked the lesson, too," she added. "Alright, everyone, class time is nearly at an end, so try and finish your banners and paragraphs quickly," she said, addressing everyone still in class. "Once you're done, you may turn in your banner over there...with the rest of them...then place your paragraph on my desk..." OOC: The deadline to turn in your banner and paragraph is today, July 13, at 11:59 PM EST. Remember to PM me a link to the post containing your banner and paragraph, and include your heading (username, character's name/year, house, and member number). |

Before leaving she put her banners on the pile with the others and her parchment on the professors desk. "Have a great day Professor," she said as she grabbed her bag and left. Hmm, now when would she get those banners back? |
Xylon looked up and realized Gold was done. Well. No worries. He was done too. He only needed to add the required last touch. "Colorus Fulgeo gold to red." Gold. To red. He glanced at Gold as he executed the two circles, one to the right and one to the left. She was pretty suited to Gryffindor what with her name and hair, come to think of it. "Done professor," he said, raising a hand. He was pretty sure they were supposed to place their banners somewhere but he had been so lost in his own world --- paints, he loved --- that he had missed out any instructions she had given, after the initial explanation of the project. Not his fault the project had been so interesting! SPOILER!!: Banner stuff. We'll pretend the text is flashing from gold to red :P |

"Well that's one awesome banner," she added, admiring Xylon's work. "Great use of the Gryffindor crests and colors. Go ahead and turn in your banner and paragraph while I dismiss the others." As Lexi dismissed the rest of the class, she cleaned up the messes that had been made and levitated the supplies back into the boxes they'd come from. "Thanks, everyone, for a great year! If I don't see you wandering up and down the corridors, I'll see you for sure at the feast! Have a good day," she added. |
