She was in the middle of class, though, and she couldn't dig deeper into the story now. So instead of asking any other questions, she just smiled and said, "Well I'd hate to end all the fun now. I'm sure Professor Lawson has a time and a place in mind to relieve you of the rope. Until then---..."
...Ahh, so that was the true reason behind the binding rope. Lexi's eyes flickered to Destiny for a second, then the professor turned back to Marie with a disapproving look. When it appeared as if an argument was about to erupt, Lexi raised her wand and turned it in a counter-clockwise direction around both their heads. "Viseo Ebullio!" she said, enclosing both inside a bubble---together. "Well if you haven't learned enough respect from Professor Lawson's rope, then perhaps being bubbled in together will help just a little, right girls?"
As she headed off, she called out over her shoulder, "I expect that bubble to remain there until I end the charm myself." ...and since Lexi had plenty of experience in charms, her bubble wouldn't be popping on its own for quite some time.
Destiny 'pffffted' when Professor Carlton mentioned the word fun. This was anything but! Still, she was relieved when she didn't take the rope off of them. Marie..she needed to learn her lesson. It was HER fault they were tied together in the first place.
Dating that boy with cooties.
Snickering as the Professor gave Marie a look, Destiny didn't notice her point her wand and move it in the counter-clockwise motion..until her head was in a bubble..the same bubble as Marie! Gahhhh! So not fair! "Professsssor!" she whined, not sure if she could be heard or not. She was tied to the girl, she didn't need to be in a bubble with her too!
As the Professor walked away and called over her shoulder, it was Destiny's turned to give Marie a look, "Marie, your head is taking up the whole bubble!" HMPH.
When the question about volunteering came up, Destiny was going to raise her hand, but changed her mind. She couldn't do anything with Marie in her bubble..and Professor Carlton was evil.

Professor Carlton repeated question if somebody was willing to volunteer diverted her attention back to the lesson and her professor. "Oh, I'd like to volunteer, professor." Nancy said with a small smile as she raised her hand to get the professor's attention.
Ah ha! Prefect Hudonson! Lexi motioned for the prefect to come forward and held out the last dungbomb for her to take. "...and that makes four," she said, glancing down the line to make sure. Three Slytherins...one Ravenclaw. "Mmhmm, that's four."

Chris eyed the dungbombs in Professor Carlton's and her volunteers' hands wearily. He, being a Prefect for a few terms now had not had the best of luck with dungbombs. He had expereinced a few rogue students throwing them down a corridor. The smell was sickining.
He raised his wand and watched as Professor Carlton gave the call and the heads up to start their spells. "Viseo Ebullio!" the Head Boy shouted, he was sooooo ready to NOT smell that terrible stinch. He left his wand over his head as he felt and watched the bubble form over his head and then waited to see what would happen.
Selena listened to the professor and when the professor gave them a nod, Selena released the dungbomb and quickly said "Viseo Ebullio," as she turned her wand counter clockwise in the area she wanted the bubble to be. Which was... well... her whole face. The bubble formed around her face and she glanced around the room.
As Fallon made her way to the front of the classroom, Lexi handed her one of the dungbombs she'd had owled to the school a few days ago. As she watched it move from her hand to Fallon's, Lexi made a slight face at the object. Only in the name of education she thought to herself. "Just hold that for a minute or two and as soon as the other volunteers are up here, we'll get started," she said.

Fallon carefully took the dungbomb from Professor Carlton. She personally had never used one before, but she had smelled one that was released before. She made sure not to release it before the Professor gave the go ahead.
As soon as the volunteers had all gotten up there, Fallon waited for the go ahead. She watched as one of the girls released hers immeadiately. Before releasing hers, she pointed her wand at her face and said, "Viseo Ebullio."
Once the now famliar bubble had formed on her face, she released the dungbomb and threw it towards the middle of the classroom. She was happy to see that it went quite far. She hoped her bubble would last for as long as her last one had. She had to pop it before it could pop itself, so she hoped it would last until the stench was gone.
When a bubble had first begun appearing during Ivory's practice of the charm, it had been in the most awkward of places.
"Viseo Ebullio." One tiny bubble appeared over her right nostril. Another try had it over both. One time it even just covered her ear and then just her mouth. Each time just to test her endurance, Ivory would hold the tiny bubbles up as long as she could, usually just over a minute and then two.
She hadn't gotten around to casting Finite until the umpteenth time when finally a (very tight) bubble appeared around her head hugging all her features and barely giving her enough room to move her mouth. At that point it became necessary. After that her biggest problem wasn't making the bubble last as it was making it keep a shape since for the moment they seemed to wobble.
Her bubbles could stay up for over the five minute mark but sadly were sort of pear shaped and had the effect of looking like she had a clear vase over her head. But at least it seemed effective. She'd chucked a few spare quills at her head and had been happy to see that they bounced off harmlessly.
Eventually, they got a little rounder but the pear shape still remained. So when the volunteers went up and the dung bombs were distributed, Ivory felt at least semi confident that she'd do okay.
Practicing the circle around her head a few times, it was with a big surprise when she heard the 3-2-1.
"Eep"
It had all happened to soon. Fumbling, she brought up her wand and took a breath....which was a very bad idea. As soon as she caught a whiff of what could only be called dung-stink, Ivory felt a small shudder go through her with the inadvertent gag reflex. Oh noes!
As efficiently as she could with the incentive of clean air riding on her actions, she pronounced the incantation and moved her wand around her head in the circle.
"Viseo Ebullio."
Success! Who cared if the result was pear like at least she didn't smell dung anymore. Once behind the shimmery shield of sorts, Ivory took a deep breath. Clean air at last.

Emma quickly took some notes on the Bubble Head Charm.

Charms Lesson Two: The Bubble-Head Charm
Incantation- Viseo Ebullio
Wand motion- Counter Clockwise around the place you're protecting.
What it does: Gives the caster clean air, doesn't matter if in land or air.
It will cause a bubble shape to appear over the caster's head or nose and mouth. It will shrink after sometime when wearing off, this depends on how old the caster is and how well the caster is with magic.
Emma smiled, ready to try, and moved her wand in the counter clockwise direction. "Viseo Ebullio!" she cried, and a bubble appeared around her face. This is so amazing!, she thought. She then said, "Finite!" But nothing happened. She cried, "Finite!", louder this time and the bubble disappeared so quickly. She grinned happily, Charms was so much fun!

Emma quickly cried, "Viseo Ebullio!", while using the correct wand motion, and a bubble came around her face, protecting her from the awful smell of the dungbombs. She smiled, she did it.

Nancy smiled at the nice professor as she swiftly got up from her seat to stand next to the other volunteers. Now, somehow she had missed what exactly they were supposed to d- No. Way. The Prefect blinked down at the thing that Professor Carlton was giving her which looked a lot like a...dungbomb?! That was just Ew!
After a quick glance at the other volunteers the 17 year old noticed they too were holding dungbombs in their hands. Oh, whatever. "Thanks. I guess." Nancy muttered with a small smile as she slowly took the dungbomb, carefully holding it up between her thumb and index finger as she moved to stand next to a younger Slytherin.
As she listened to the professor's instructions Nancy gulped and glanced down at the dungbomb in her hands. Oh noes. So they were supposed to drop it. Well, duh. Still...Ew! The Slytherin quickly fished for her wand so she could cast the spell as quickly as possible after they had dropped the dungbomb because they would be clos- THREE! Oh, crap, that was it. They were supposed to drop it now. Inhaling deeply she held the dungbomb as far away from her as possible and holding her breath she finally dropped it.
"Viseo Ebullio!" She exclaimed while making a counter-clockwise movement with her wand over her neck. Only the short breath she had to take to say the incantation had her breathe in the horrible smell of the dungbomb. Okay, now she felt like puking too. Eww! Though, now she was safe under that weird bubble-like...well, bubble. Now...what next? Gulp.
Alexandrie's eyes widened seriously dungbombs? She traced quickly chanting, "Viseo Ebullio!" Alex chanted on herself the bubble appearing over her head protecting her from the horrifying spell. She hated the smell of dungdombs. Let's just hope her charm didn't wear off before the Professor got rid of the smell.

Where was Gold when you needed her? Another class she was definitely failing in. This charm was impossible to cast!
She has said the incantation a million times already with no result. BAH!
"Viseo Ebullio" Eppp! Nothing. And dungbombs were coming... she choked and coughed and heaved another deep breath to no use. She was doomed. Doomed. She'll die from this rotten scent.
"Viseo Ebullio. Viseo Ebullio. Viseo Ebullio. Viseo Ebullio" nothing happened she wanted to break her wand to pieces. The only solution left was to duck her nose under her shirt until the teacher fixed it. Oh they won't allow her back to this school next year, she failed at almost everything!!

As the smell of dungbombs made its way around the classroom, Lexi continued to circulate to make sure no one was struggling to take cover. Noticing a little Gryffindor girl hiding her under her shirt, Lexi hurried over to cast the charm for her. It would be nice to have time to actually teach her how to do it herself, but for now, with dungbombs steadily polluting the air, that just wasn't possible. She swept her wand around the girl's neck and said, "Viseo Ebullio!" There now. That should help loads more than hiding behind a shirt.

Maddie grimaced and smashed the dungbomb. A horrible scent reached her noe immediately, and she quickly pulled out her wand. 'Viseo Ebullio!' she said, pointing the wand at herself. A large bubble appeared round her head, and she breathed a sigh of relief. No more gross smells!

Mina busied herself with notes and thinking over the linguistics of the bubblehead charm. She wasn't at all that acquainted with the use of it but she was looking forward to tackling it. In theory, she figured it wouldn't be all that terrible to learn and then master.
Holding her wand out, she whirled it counter-clockwise directing it at her nose and mouth. Viseo Ebullio Slowly, a bubble started to appear around her nose and a tiny one around her mouth. The bubbles didn't seem to last all that long. That was rather disappointing.
Looking around, she noticed the others were having a little more luck. Shaking her head, she took a breathe and tried again. She just needed to focus a bit more.
Holding her wand out again, she attempted another go at it. Viseo Ebullio This time the bubbles appeared to be a bit larger and they hled for a few more moments. She was definitely making some progress for sure.
After working on it for a few more minutes, she finally was able to get a full bubble around her head. It didn't last long, but she had managed to get that far. Just as she was about to try again, she heard mention of dungbombs. That didn't sound good to her. Se would really have to get the full bubble to stick if she didn't want to get sick. Dungbombs could be really nasty.
Focusing all her energy, she took a deep breathe. It was now or never. She just hoped and prayed it would work. "Viseo Ebullio!"
Slowly the bubble appeared and engulfed her whole head, it looked rather solid and was holding for the moment. Yes, it was holding and the air was fresh. Taking slow breathes, she calmed herself. It would work this time, it had to work.

House Water Challenge
When the putrid smell of released dungbombs had finally disintegrated, Lexi pointed her wand toward her bubble and casted finite. She experimentally sniffed the air a few times, making sure she was correct in assuming the smell was gone. "You can go ahead and end the charm on your own now," she told the class. "The air is clear, and the dungbomb scent is---thank, Merlin---long gone."
"I'm sure you've noticed by now that there's a long, white curtain covering the left side of the classroom..."
As she spoke, a few sounds could be heard from behind the curtain...something possibly wooden being scraped across the floor...then silence...then splash!
A small smile widened across Professor Carlton's face when she heard this. "I've created an underwater challenge for you, and if you complete the challenge, several surprises and awards await you," she explained. With a swish, flick, and wave of her wand, the white curtain peeled away to reveal...
...four large water tanks, each big enough to fit many students inside and---apparently---a large wooden crate. "You'll be divided into four teams---Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." With her wand, Lexi pointed to a different tank each time she said a different house's name. "Each of you will climb inside your assigned tank and try to stay underwater for as long as it takes to pry open the large wooden crate you see fastened to the bottom of the tank and release whatever is inside. If your charm begins to wear off, you may swim to the surface and cast it again," she continued. "If you're not confident with your abilities to cast the Bubble-head Charm, or if you simply would prefer to not get inside the tank, you may find a way to help your housemates from the outside of the tank, Be aware, though, that opening the crate does require at least a good number of your housemates to get inside the tank."
"The crate has been charmed to remain shut until enough of your housemates has done something to help the cause. Go ahead and line up beside the tank with your house's name on it. You may plan together as a group then get inside the tank and begin the challenge when you're ready," she said.
OOC: Please do not roleplay the crate opening. I'll be monitoring the posts and will post your house's crate opening at some point. The reward for this will be house points for each participant. The amount will depend on how much effort is put into helping the house get the crate open and the contents inside revealed. If there are any questions, please feel free to PM me. Otherwise, have fun!
Again, I'm not sure if you can talk/be heard from inside the bubble, but so we won't have to be silent throughout the roleplay, you may post as if talking/hearing is still an option.
Willow hoped her bubble head charm for this task would hold up better than what she was doing in practice earlier. She focused herself as the students released the dungbombs, motion her wand in a counter clockwise direction around her head and said "Viseo Ebullio!" A bubble formed around her head and she felt it looked pretty good to last a bit. "I hope this bubble keeps in tack long enough for the smell to leave." she thought.
Selena grinned. That sounded like fun. Except she remembered something... she couldn't swim. She refused to get into the water. Selena sighed. But she really wanted to participate. She couldn't drown right... with the bubblehead charm and all. Selena sighed and stood by the Slytherin tank, a bit nervous.
Nymphy lined up beside the tank. "I'll go in guys!" he said, pulling off his outer robe and stepping up. "Viseo Ebullio!" he said, turning his wand counter clockwise. The large bubble emcompassed his head and he jumped in. Unlike when he had practiced with the dungbombs, this experiment meant the he wouldbe underwater. This was both wet and completly silent, both very errie things. As soon as he reached the bottom, he began to try to pry open the chest. This was doinf nothing, so he got out his wand again and cried an unheard "Relashio!". The burst of sparks hit the chest and impolded. He was hoping that it was helping at least a little, becasue he kept it up, sometimes changing to a noncalant "Diffindo!" every so often.
Alexandrie moved to the Slytherin Tank walking towards Selena after cancelling the bubble head charm of course. Selena looked scared for some reason, "You alright?" Alex asked looking at her friend waiting for the other Slytherins to join them.
Was Professor Carlton sure that the disgusting smell of the dungbombs was completely gone? Nancy regarded her a little wearily for a moment before deciding that she was not yet old enough so she wouldn't smell anything anymore. So, it should be safe to get rid of the bubble-shaped bubble, yes? After only a short pause the Prefect finally raised her wand to her neck and cast a non-verbal Finite to make the bubble-shaped bubble disappear. Nooooooooww...
Her blue eyes flickered to the tanks as Professor Carlton mentioned them and her mind was already busy trying to figure out a way to work together with the other Slytherins to get that crate to open. As soon as the professor was done explaining Nancy quickly walked up to the Slytherin-tank and grinned at all the others. "Noooow, who'll go inside and who'd prefer helping us from the outside?" It was obvious she was talking to the rest of her team-mates for this, i.e. the Slytherins.
