Alex gave Selena an angry look, "It's not your fault Selena." Alex spoke clearly her words trembling, "It's Evelyn and I's fault for fighting in the first place and we should do what we're told because it's fair punishment. We were in the wrong Selena Zabini-Riddle not you." Alex spoke firmly her arms crossed her amber eyes piercing into Selena's.

"Miss Hudonson may assist you two," she said, glancing over at the Slytherin prefect. Her eyes flickered back to Alex and Evelyn. "...but only to instruct you on what charms to use and how to cast them. Other than that, the actual cleaning will be left up to the two of you." Before leaving the girls to get started, Lexi smiled brightly at Nancy and said her thanks. "Thank you, Miss Hudonson..."
So the Prefect person could help them!? Aww, just with telling them the spells. Well, that was actually a good thing. Evelyn needed to know the spells!
Or else, she needed a ton of towels to clean the place up. And that wouldn't be any fun. Not like cleaning with magic was anymore fun than doing it by hand...

She felt absolutely terrible that they had to slave away like this. It was really all her fault. "So... you shouldn't punish them... but you should punish me," Selena said. She didn't want them to do something they shouldn't be doing... if only Selena hadn't approached Flores like that even though she knew Alex hated her...
Raising a brow at Selena, a small chuckle escaped her before a smile appeared on her lips. More out of amusement than anything. "Do you really want to stay and clean up water?" she asked, a bit curious as to why the girl didn't just leave so she didn't get into trouble or anything.
Besides, if they were able to use magic for this, then it'd be done in under ten minutes. Nothing too big. Nothing like what Lawson made her do that one day. Eesh. Besides, she slightly agreed with Lufoy. Not that she would say that out loud of course.

Lexi was a bit surprised to see that Selena was still around. She'd thought that all the other students...besides the ones involved in the cleaning...were all long gone. She guessed not, though, as Selena was standing right here...and offering to help clean due to something she'd supposedly caused before all the paper throwing and shoulder slamming had started.
She smiled at Selena before replying. "That's very nice of you, Miss Zabini-Riddle, and I'm proud of you for owning to something you feel you've done. However, your housemates are in trouble for throwing parchment and slamming into shoulders---not for what happened beforehand," she said. "My decision still stands that if Miss Malfoy-Lupin and Miss Flores help each other clean the room...and do so by getting along...ten points will be rewarded back to Slytherin house. Thank you anyway, Miss Zabini-Riddle, but you're dismissed along with the rest of the class."
OOC to everyone: Hey, guys...please remember that this is a class thread and not a roleplay chat thread. If your character isn't involved in the cleaning, he or she should be heading out now. The thread is going to remain open for the cleaning roleplay, then it'll be closed, so I can close the class. Thanks for understanding!
Selena sighed and nodded. She gave Evelyn and Alex a weak smile. "Alright then Professor, thanks for the lesson," she said before she picked up her bag and left the room. She'd apologize to both later.

Oh. Wow. That had been unexpected. Nancy had already been half-turned to leave when the professor told her that she may after all help Evelyn and Alex clean up the classroom. And the next thing she said made her smirk broadly at the other two as it meant that she didn't have to actually clean up. Hehe. Yes, see, she wasn't ALLOWED to clean up. Which was rather soothing to know. Who liked to clean up after all? "Of course." The Prefect said with a warm smile at Professor Carlton's thanks before turning to Alex and Evelyn.

"Weeeelll...I'd say the most effective spells here would be Tergeo and Scourgify." Her eyes flickered briefly over to the professor as if she wanted reassurance or something, however, she went on explaining the two spells without waiting for the professor to say something. "With Tergeo you sort of absorb whatever it is you want to get rid of. You pronounce it like TUR-jee-oh!" She paused for a moment, considering to wait for them to try but then again, this wasn't a normal lesson or something. "And then, like I said before, there is Scourgify which simply cleans things. The incantation is pronounced SKUR-ji-fy with an emphasis on the skur-part." Yes, anything else? Cue questioning glance at Professor Carlton.

Listening to the prefect person, trying to remember the older girl's name, Evelyn also took a mental note of the spells, and quickly flew to her bag.
Must...write...down...
'Tergeo' and 'Scourgify'. There, now she'll be able to remember at least a few cleaning spells. Mwaha! Standing back up from the desk, and clearing her throat, Evelyn took the hair tie off of her hand and put her wet hair up into a messy bun before taking her wand back out again. "So...Teeeergeeo..." she drawled out, staring at the Prefect who she still could not remember the name of before looking at Lufoy. "You can do that side," she said while pointing to one side of the room before gesturing to the other side. "And I'll do this side."
That way, they didn't need to talk to one another, or even look at each other. It was just a bonus that Lufoy's side had more water on the ground and walls then her own side did. Teehee. Not giving the younger Slytherin time to object, Evelyn turned and walked to her own side, before starting on the ground.
"Tergeo." They'll be done in no time! Hopefully...
Alex snorted as the stupid little third year tried to send her all the way over there..well fine then. She all of a sudden had an idea to go to the lbirary and learn the silencing charm..it would certainly shut her up, "Fine then." Alex muttered sarsatically going over to where the mean girl pointed. "Tergeo." Alex chanted pointing at the ground on her side. Hopefully they would be done before Alex lost her patience with Evelyn Flores.

As she worked on putting away the crates and getting the tanks ready to be shipped back to where they came from, Lexi listened closely as Nancy told Evelyn and Alex about two of the most well-known and well-used cleaning charms. She noticed the prefect's look---the one that seemed to ask if what she was teaching was alright---and nodded in reply. "Mmhmm, that's right, Miss Hudonson," she said.
Luckily for Evelyn and Alex, their prefect seemed to have her charms down pat.
After a while, and when nearly all the crates and tanks had been put away, Lexi circulated the room to check on the girls' progress. It was...clean enough, actually. The professor imagined that most of the water would just need to dry naturally anyway, so...she'd let them go.
"You girls may go now---all three of you," she said. She'd go through this whole spill about 'next time' and all that jazz, but really...was it necessary? Besides, Lexi had been in class four what felt hours now, and she had things to do...like rewarding everyone their house points for breaking the crates open. "Most of the water has dried by now, and as for the rest, I'll just place a temporary drying charm on the room. Have a good day..." Or try to, at least...
Oh, she'd nearly forgotten---"Ten points back to Slytherin house..."
