Kel chuckled, shaking his head. He had a feeling that this would be a fun class. Well, beside the obviously fun Charms part of it. The professor seemed cool. Smiling a small smile to himself, he got up and got himself an apron.
Frowning, he studied it. White was perfectly fine to him. But he didn't want to be a party pooper, so he'd change it. "Colorus Revolvo..." he sighed. What color? "Colorus Revolvo Dark Blue." And then there was that swish...and that other swish...and tada! Kel now had a Ravenclaw-type-of-blue apron. House pride, and all that jazz. Satisfied, Kel tied the apron around his stomach, then sat back down at his desk, scribbling down the rest of the notes.

Mina made her way up to the boxes and found one that was her size. Pulling it out, she tilted her head. White was nice and all, but she didn't really do all white. Folding it over her arm, she made her way back to her seat.
Setting the plain apron down, she picked up her wand and thought about what she wanted it to look like. Like the Ravenclaw she was, she was obvisiouly going to go for a blue colour, but which one was still unclear for her. Biting her lip in thought, she finally nodded as a colour came to mind. Swishing right and then left in the circular motion, she aimed her wand on the apron. Colorus Revolvo Oxford Blue
Replacing her wand in its hoister, she picked up the apron and places it one. Yes, it was perfect now. Making quick work of tying it, she then turned to her notes and finished jotting down everything she had forgotten.
Sini had finally finished writing down all her notes up to this point in the class. After looking around the room, she realized a few other students had already retrieved their aprons and started testing out the color changing charm. Well, she might as well try it out as well. She put down her quill and headed toward the the aprons to get hers. She opened the cabinet and put her apron on, then heaed back to her desk.
No rereading her notes, she starting to try and figure out how to change the color of her apron. What color would look nice for today? Hmmmm....
Holding her wand up, she mimicked the motions that the Professor had used. Just a swish to the right, then left but this time in a circular motion and said, "Colorus Revolvo Blue." As if by no doing of her own her apron turned to a light blue, well, it was certainly a start, she had been going for a darker blue, but well a blue was a blue.
Gazing around Santi noticed an unusually large number of green aprons. Looking down at his, he thought, time to mix things up. Though green was his favorite colour he disliked being in the majority. He would've make a sliver snake on his but that still felt too mundane. Instead he decided on something a bit more dramatic.
"Colorus revolvo bright pink."
Smiling at his highlighter pink apron, he placed it over his head and tied it. That was more like it, now how would people react? It was the small and unexpected things that gave people away. So much could be told from such reactions.

Selena saw a bright pink apron appear seemingly out of no where and her eyes immediately darted to it. "Nice apron," she smirked at Santi. The apron was a bit bright compared to all the other colours, "next time try bright yellow," Selena grinned, that colour hurt her eyes.
Alexandrie wasn't surprised by the show of House Support although she laughed after a guy changed his white apron to pink. She really hated pink so until the Professor gave them something to do she decided to get out her Arithmancy Book and read.
Tying the apron around his waist, Patroclus decided that he would like to wear in the lovely colour of autumn leaves, however that was not the exact name of a colour, so he went with "Colorus Revolvo Scarlet".
Sitting back at his desk he scribbled down the notes that the Professor so far had made:

As Arya continued to take notes, she found it hard not to concentrate on the wonderful scents that filled the classroom. She was hungry!! Last time coming to class hungry EVER. She eyed the box of aprons curiously, listening intently as they were taught a new charm.
Skipping, she went and retrieved an apron her size and went back to her seat. Then Arya pulled out her wand and twirled it slowly as she eyed her apron, wondering what color she wanted to turn it. House colors or favorite colors? After a moment she finally decided what color she wanted the apron. Then she practiced the wand movements and the incantation separatly, making sure she had them correct.
She gave her wand a swish to the right, then left in a circular motion and said. "Colorus Revolvo Sunset Yellow." Arya smiled warmly at her nice sunnyset yellow apron before putting it on and waiting for further instruction.

Dianna quickly wrote down some notes and got up to get an apron.
"Ok. Here we go..." she swished to the right and made a circular motion to the left.
"Colorus Revolvo Purple" and the apron turned a shade of lilac. Dianna wasn't really expecting it to be right on her first try so she tried again.
"Colorus Revolvo Purple!" and the apron turned to purple. "Yes.." she said to herself.
Selena saw a bright pink apron appear seemingly out of no where and her eyes immediately darted to it. "Nice apron," she smirked at Santi. The apron was a bit bright compared to all the other colours, "next time try bright yellow," Selena grinned, that colour hurt her eyes.
Santi smirked as the guy looked thoroughly shocked at the change - mission achieved. Truthfully he responded, "I did think about it, but then decided to veer off from house colours."
Ah charms, how amazing art thou, he thought again.
Jimbo will set his turtle loose on you. { The Farley } "That's trademarked, don't use it."
Ah. Aprons. Cooking. He wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing. Walking over to the box of aprons without fear he picked out the best looking one. Going back to where he was he held the apron out before him and stared at it. What colour should he change it to?
He looked around at the others to see their colours. One girl thought of green AND silver. Somehow, the others hadn't thought of that. They were only doing solid colours. Looking back at the apron held before him he thought of turning it green with pink polka dots.
Smiling, he held out his wand, swished it right then the full circle left and said, "Colorus Revolvo Green with Pink Polka Dots!"
Hee hee.
Oh. Wait. Some other, older guy had made his pink. Well, now that ruins it. Well, not entirely. Jimbo's had polka dots.
With her wand once again stretched toward the chalkboard, Lexi added the newest suggestions to the list they'd already made.

"Those are excellent suggestions, and lots of them relate to what we'll be doing in class today. House points to everyone who shared a suggestion!" she said, lowering the chalk and dropping her wand to her side. With the second list done, Lexi turned back to the class. A few people had either asked a question or made a point that she wanted to address. "Go ahead and add that second list to your notes. You'll need it for homework, too."
"You're exactly right about that. Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration tells us that we can't produce food out of thin air. We can, however, move food, change food, or use other objects to help us with our food," she explained. Merlin, all that talk about food was making Lexi weaker by the moment---she wanted cupcakes!
"Magic can most definitely make our lives easier, which leads me to...those," she said, using her wand to point out a box of aprons near the front of the classroom. Walking over to the box, Lexi pulled out a plain white apron. She directed her wand towards the apron, swished it the right, then swished it in a circular motion to the left. "Colorus Revolvo Pink!" she said.
...and that explained how the professor's apron had turned that pretty pink color.
"Now this lesson isn't about the Coloring Changing Charm, but if you'd like, you may use it to change your white apron to the color of your choice," she said. ...and yes, she'd just said your apron, which meant she wanted the students to wear aprons for this lesson, as well. "Come on up and find an apron in your size. If you like the white color, then so be it, but you can take a few minutes to change its color, too. Come on now...you, too, boys," she added, waving her hand in the general direction of the box.
"Remember to do your swishes in flicks in all the right directions, too. You'll likely end up with some atrocious, snot-colored getup otherwise," she said. Sigh...unless of course someone preferred a green and brown mixture. Eww. "Swish to the right, then swish to the left in a circular motion. The incantation is Colorus Revolvo, plus the name of the color you choose."
OOC: I'm going to stop here (for a little while) to allow some people from other timezones to catch up. In the meantime, you may roleplay your character getting an apron and working with the Color Changing Charm.
People. Were. Too. Fast.
That, and the fact Gold was too interested in Professor Carlton's cute, pink apron. "Professor!" She raised a hand. "Do you think it would be okay, if I add a few other points, to my list?" She eyed her notes. "I can think of a couple. Like, magic can help us heal, and provide quick medical aid and --" She paused. "-- and, in the kitchen, it can help us repair stuff we accidentally damage, or break." Because some people tend to break stuff, all the time. Especially dishes and goblets.
WAIT A SECOND! What was Professor!Charms saying? That they could get an apron, each? Gold beamed at the Professor's apron again, as they were told they could all get aprons for their own, and switch their colours and stuff. That appealed to Gold. She knew, of course, what colour she wanted for her apron. No doubt, there.
Once she had caaaarefully picked one out, she headed back to her desk and held it up, in the light, to see. It was nothing special, a plain apron, white in colour. Well, not for much longer. "Colorus Revolvo the!Cutest!Pink!Ever," she chuckled, before giving the charm a proper shot - swish to the right, swish to the left in a circular motion - and watching her apron turn all warm and fuzzy and cute!pink. Therrrrre.
Now it looked like hers.
She slipped into it, and then tapped her wand at the side, to print the words "Gold Laksh" on the side, in red-and-gold lettering. Nothing permanent, of course. One flick of a wand, and the wording would no longer be there. Because, you know, the apron didn't belong to her.

Sammy quickly scribbled down the lists and grabbed her apron and put it on then stopped what colour should i make it she thought ..... AQUA!!!! "Colorus Revolvo Aqua!....YAY I DID IT!!!" Sammy exclaimed excitedly

Willow would have never expected to be doing any cooking in charms class. She just hoped they would be baking brownies! She went to box of aprons and pulled one out that was her size. She swished her wand to the right, then swished it to the left in a circular motion while saying "Colorus Revolvo Purple." The apron turned a very nice shade of purple that was to Willow's liking. She then walked over to a station and waited for further instructions.

Oooh!
Abby made her way over to the box of aprons. Pulling one out, she held it up to inspect it. Determining that the one she had picked was clean as a whistle (it would so NOT be cool if it had like some sort of stain on it or something), she put the loop over her head and tied it around herself. Tying things on her back made her feel like a contortionist.
Finished! And now for the color. Erm, maybe she should have done this before putting the apron on. Oh wells. Pointing her wand essentially at herself, Abby swished left and right and then motioned in a circular fashion as the professor had told them. "Colorus Revolo Periwinkle!" she said. POOF. Abby smiled. Charms was the best class ever at the moment.
Hermione went over and grabbed an apron that was just about her size. She was excited for this class, Charms was one of her favorite and best subjects and she hoped to do well in the first lesson. She took out her wand and said "Colorus Revolvo Green" and watched her apron turn from white to green. It was certainly a good start the lesson she thought and waited for the professor to give further instructions.
Kel chuckled, shaking his head. He had a feeling that this would be a fun class. Well, beside the obviously fun Charms part of it. The professor seemed cool. Smiling a small smile to himself, he got up and got himself an apron.

Rae picked up an apron in class and decided on gray. "Colorus Revolvo Gray." And there it was, now turning to see the class full of students she wasn't sure who to sit with, maybe someone new? Ugh that stupid promise to get involved. Well might as well try and keep it, she noticed a boy sitting alone and decided upon him. She walked over and sat next to him. "Hey, I'm Rae." She said to him whilst extending a hand.

He was daydreaming about him and Professor Carlton and nice romantic dinner of chocolate and cheeseburgers. He was leaning forward on his elbows with a faraway look in his eyes. He could picture her with swirls of cotton candy playing with her hair. She was so pretty.
With a jerk his head slipped from his hand and he almost did a face plant right on his workstation. With his face burning he scrambled up to get a apron. He really hated white. It was such a blah color. Well share really.
He tied it around his small waist and thought of the color he wanted his apron to be. "Colorus revolvo Iron Man." he pointed his wand at himself not really knowing if the spell knew what or who Iron Man was. His apron rippled and shimmered, like it was thinking of the right color to be. Diggy closed his eyes and waited for something to explode.
Nothing happened. He looked down at himself and his apron was a shiny fire engine red with gold streaks running from left to right. He let out a sigh of relief. He didn't want to explode in front of Professor Carlton.
It might mess up her hair.

Fia reached over, grabbing a white and tying it around her waist. The color definitely had to go, there was no question about that. "Swish to the right..." Whoooosh! "Swish to the left...." Whoooosh! "Colorus Revolvo Light Blue." There. She was all nice and pretty as she waited for the Professor to begin.
Delilah walked up to the front of the class and took an apron. Hmmm... What color? She thought a little bit before saying "Colorus Revolvo Black." She liked wearing black. It made her red hair really stand out.

Dude. Duuuuuude.
Abby looked at the boy with the SHINY! apron. Oooh, pretty. She prodded him lightly in the shoulder. "Hey, niiiice apron." Hehe, that wasn't a comment you heard everyday. But heck, because Iron Man was awesome. She looked down at her own periwinkle apron. Awh man, it was so plain next to his. Meh.
Ellie hopped out of her chair and made her way to the front of the class. She queued up and eventually grabbed a green pilkadot apron. She stepped away from the box to allow the other students to claim theirs. Some of the boys seemed less than thrilled to put on an apron.
She was looking forward to doing a little cooking. Ellie's mum was an excellent cook, but the Ravenclaw was horrible at it. She'd tried baking cookies once, but almost set her house on fire in the process. Since then she'd left the culinary duties to her mum.
Quite happy with her colour choice, she stood back. But it seemed all the other students were practicing the Colour Changing Charm, so Ellie felt like she ought to too. It had been ages since she last used that particular piece of magic, so she was a little shy about trying it around a bunch of other students.
Nevertheless, she pulled out her wand and pointed it at the white polkadots. She thought about what might match the green apron. After a moment, she decided on a hot pink. Ellie wasn't big on that particular colour, but it would go really nicely with the outfit. "Colorus Revolvo Pink!" she said, confidently. She beamed as the dots turned a vibrant shade of pink, just like she imagined. Looks like her magic skills were getting better as she got older.
Nymphy went up and picked out an apron. "Hmmmm....." he sighed. "It needs to match my hair!" he observed. "Colorus Revolvo Purple!" he yelled, tapping with his wand. The apron rusled and turned almost the shade of purple that showed in his hair. Nymphy only noticed that it was different becasue he compared them a minute later. The was, of course, the shadehe was thinking of, but apparently the exact color of his hair didn't stick in his memory as well as he thought.

It took him a minute to register that someone was poking him. He looked up and was shocked that it was a girl. He wasn't used to girl noticing him nowadays. But it was nice to say the least. "Thanks. Its Iron Man," he puffed out his chest and smiled at her.
