Walking into the classroom, the first thing Evelyn took note of was the...pinkness of the apron. Then the smell, then the fact that the classroom looked more like a kitchen than a classroom.
Huh. "Good day, Professor." she mumbled with a sweet smile, before going over to stand by Destiny. They were cooking today or something?
Kate have been running all morning, from class to class. "Uf! this is exhausting! Today I'm going to sleep like a baby" She was thinking when she reached the Charms classroom's door.
Inside there was a big, marvelous...kitchen? "oh my god! I got lost...I know I'm a little bit tired but, I came to the kitchens instead of Charms classroom? Or did I returned to Muggle Study Club?"
Kate was about to leave when she saw others coming. They had the same amazed expression in their faces so, this must be Charms and this must be a...cooking class? Sounds great! Lets get inside..
Kate entered the room and saw a young woman in a beautiful pink apron."Good afternoon. Are you Professor Carlton? I'm Kate, first year" She said to her kindly.

Awesome, they were going to be cooking today? Sweet, and Fletcher had already met this professor.
"Ello miss," the boy greeted Professor Carlton as he strolled into the room and picked out a seat in the front and center. "How's Prince Charming?"

Adelyn skipped breathlessly into the Charms room, and being so distracted from how exhausted she was from all the classes, almost didn't notice that this classroom didn't look much like a classroom at all. Instead, it looked like...a giant kitchen? Well, this is going to fun! Adelyn thought to herself; she loved cooking, and the Professor looked ever so nice. As she walked up towards the front of the classrom, she smiled brightly and greeted the Professor. "Hello, Professor Carlton." She then looked around the room, searching for someone she knew to stand by.
Ainra entered the charms classroom a bit nervously. Charms... she just knew she would be rubbish at it. Her mood went even further down when she realized that they were going to be cooking. She frowned, and pulled her wand out of her bag and placed it on her desk.

Following the yummy smells to Charms class, Grayson walked in the classroom with a curious look on her face. Not to mention a hand firmly clasped over one pocket, since she had her ferret with her and didn't want him jumping out to go after the yummy smells. "Hi Professor," she called out, glancing at the professor with a smile. Apron. Yummy smells. We're going to be cooking?, she thought, excitement rising. Not that she'd ever tried to cook before, but maybe it would be like potions. And she knew she was good at that.

Sidney has not trouble finding the Charms classroom today. The smell is intoxicating. Oooh, I love the smell of fresh baked goods. Cooking muggle style and now cooking wizard style. I'm going to gain 30 pounds before this term is over. Sidney walks into the classroom and finds it set up like a kitchen at home. There are even tables for everyone to sit at. She walks in and immediately looks for something to eat. All those heavenly smells must mean food is close by. Sidney sees the Professor with her pink apron on. "Hello Professor Carlton?" So many new professor, it's hard to keep up with who's who. "I'm Sidney Marlowe, Hufflepuff second year." She still finds herself wanted to say Hufflepuff first year. It still hasn't sunk in that this is Sidney's second term.
Lucy struggled her way into the Charms classroom, thinking that she must be insane to go class after that stupid letter had ruined her life. But anything to keep her mind off her troubles. But when she walked in, expecting desks and chairs, she got a surprise. There were none! Oh geez, had she walked into the wrong classroom? But no, there was Professor Carlton, right there! And there were stoves in this room, as well as other...cooking items. And it smelled good.
They were going to cook in Charms class today? Oh, this was not good. Lucy was not good at cooking, especially not baking. She almost burned Katy's birthday cake last year...well, not really, since Ty was there to help. But still. She didn't want to burn anything...or anyone.
Not really knowing what to do with herself, she stood by some of the other students and smiled at the professor. "Hello Professor Carlton."
Ainra entered the charms classroom a bit nervously. Charms... she just knew she would be rubbish at it. Her mood went even further down when she realized that they were going to be cooking. She frowned, and pulled her wand out of her bag and placed it on her desk.
Confused, but smiling at the delicious smell, Kenna walked into the Charms classroom. "Good morning, Professor. It smells so good." She smiled and walked to a seat by Ainra. She smiled as she took out her wand, D.A.D.A. was fun, so charms would be great too. "Morning Ainra~" She said to her Gryffindoor friend. "Are you exited?"

Cadence walked into a class with a HUGE smile on her face. Charms just so happened to be her favorite subject. She walked right up the professor and extended her hand to the new woman. "Hello, Professor! I'm Cadence Ballard!" she said with a bright smile. Once the introduction was finished, she came in and took a seat in the front of the classroom and examined the space. Apparently, they would be cooking today. Cadence certain hoped Torin would show up. He would LOVE this charms class, and it looked like it was going to be fun to Cadi, too. This was actually USEFUL, learning how to cook with magic. It was something she had always wanted to know how to do, but her mum wouldn't teach her, saying she had to learn to cook the Muggle way first. This was going to be so exciting!

Well this was homey. Abby stood a little past the entrance and looked around the room. It was more than that. It was an all-out KITCHEN. And the brightest thing in the room, perhaps, that caught her attention right away was a woman wearing a very pink apron. The professor? Yep, probs.
She walked over to her and smiled. "Hullo, Professor Carlton," she said. Eep! She had remembered her name. Unlike most of her other professors. Proud of herself, Abby made her way over to the other students and took a seat near the front. She liked to cook So?
Jack walked in the classroom and examined the place. Well, it was more like a kitchen than a classroom. He saw a woman in a pink apron. He smiled at her and said,"Hello Professor". He saw an empty seat and sat down.
"Actually I'm a bit nervous." Ainra said, biting her lip. "I was always so bad at cooking."

"Good morning," Lexi said, waiting for the girl to introduce herself. When she didn't, Lexi just figured she's learn it sooner or later when class got started.

She hadn't seen the older girl around, and wondered where she was. *pout* She did say she was going to Hogwarts, right?
Heh. Perhaps if the girl did attend, she would show up to this class!
Walking into the classroom, well not a classroom, it was a kitchen, Destiny took a deep sniff in. Oh Merlin. She was hungry. "Hello Professor..Carlton!" she greeted the woman with a HUGE smile. Ha! She had remembered her name and did not call her Professor Carstereo.
Taking a seat right in front, Destiny could only wonder if the woman would remember her. Perhaps she should sit under the table instead?
Lexi started to smile and say hello to the next student to walk in the room, but...there was something about the girl that made her stop. She looked so...familiar. Oh, oh! This was the little girl Lexi had met in Diagon Alley---the one whose grandmother was trying to buy her a set of Ravenclaw robes! "No Ravenclaw robes today?" she jokingly asked, a smile on her face.

"Hello, professor." And she went to sit down.
Mildly amused, Lexi watched as one of the students went through a few seconds of...what she guessed was shock. "It's not your normal Charms classroom, no," she said. "We'll have fun, though...you'll see. Oh, and hello to you, too."

He took his place at an empty workstation and eagerly awaited the start of class.
They say a smile is contagious, and Lexi guessed that was really true. When she saw a Slytherin boy walk through the room with a smile on his face, she couldn't help but smile along. For one, the students seemed to be in really good moods, and two, Lexi really, really wanted one of the cupcakes she'd baked. She could practically taste them already!

Did that boy...oh, he did! Spotting a Ravenclaw boy pop a Sugar Quill into his mouth, Lexi narrowed her eyes ever so slightly. That was the candy that made a student appear as if they were thinking, wasn't it? A mumble...a greeting Lexi nearly didn't hear, but in the end, she'd heard good day and good morning so much in the past few minutes that she was starting to think she may recognize it in any language spoken. She walked over to her and smiled. "Hullo, Professor Carlton," she said. Eep! She had remembered her name. Unlike most of her other professors. Proud of herself, Abby made her way over to the other students and took a seat near the front. She liked to cook So?
"Hey there," Lexi replied. "Welcome to Charms class..."

Lexi smiled at the boy and nodded a hello in his direction. It seemed like everyone...oh, but one last Hufflepuff girl, she saw...had made their way in.

This was going to be so exciting!
...and now that this little Hufflepuff girl had joined them, it looked like everyone was in class and the lesson could finally get underway. "It's good to meet you, Miss Ballard," she replied, giving the girl a quick smile before closing the door.
OOC: Class is now officially starting. If you haven't already roleplayed your character coming in, please just roleplay as if he or she has been here all along. Thanks!
Once the door was closed and everyone seemed to be in class...no one would be tardy on her very first lesson, would they?...Lexi returned to the front of the classroom and sat on the edge of her desk as she spoke to the class. "Lots of you seemed to have already been told my name, but for those of you who don't quite know me yet, I'm Professor Lexi Carlton," she began. Hmm...now that had been the little icebreaker, the line Lexi sort of felt she had to say so that the children wouldn't be sitting in class wondering who in Merlin's name was teaching them.
"Before I moved back to Great Britain, I lived in America..., and if there's one thing that stood out to me about the area I lived in, it was the fact that...well, not very many witches and wizards live there. Not as many as there are here in Great Britain, at least," she explained. "Things in America were sometimes a little difficult for my sister and I, because we were used to magic, and there weren't very many opportunities to use magic in America. At least, not for us."
She pushed herself off the desktop and walked around the room a little. "I want you to think about the magic you know of and the magic you've been taught. What are some of the ways that magic helps us in our normal, everyday life? Simple things, I mean. How has magic helped you make things in your life easier?" she asked. "Go ahead and raise your hand then share your thoughts with us."
Super Slytherin Buddy - ⅓ She-Snake Trio || EVIL Healer
Marie walked into the classroom not sure if she was in the right place. She thought she was going to Charms class but the room looked more like a kitchen.
Looking towards the front of the room she seen the professor and... Destiny and Evelyn were sitting in the front? Why were they sitting in the front? Didn't they know it was more fun to be in the back of the room?
Not seeing anyone else she knew she slowly made her way to the front where her friends... and the professor were. "Hello Professor, how are you today?" she asked with a smile.
Looking at Destiny and Evelyn she whispered, "Really? The front of the room? Why?"
Next time she was so sitting in the back of the class.
"Well, accio has certainly aided in my laziness. And... actually, I think that's it... that I know of so far.. or can remember. I'll let you know if I think of more.." she said. Hopefully this teacher would be one that didn't mind beating around the bush a bit, or thinking out loud. Ellie tended to do that. It helped with... well it helped.
Jimbo will set his turtle loose on you. { The Farley } "That's trademarked, don't use it."
CHARMS!
Yay! After enduring all those other classes Jimbo was ecstatic to be able to attend charms. The professor seemed very nice too. Oh, he knew he was going to love this class. He always did.
Eager, he raised his hand. "Spells and magic and all that have helped me do a lot of simple things everyday. I can make my bed in, like, two seconds, it barely takes me any time to get ready, when I've dropped something I don't have to bend down to pick it up..."
There were many other things that spells helped him with but he wasn't about to mention all that. He didn't exactly think it through when he raised his hand. Grinning sheepishly, he let his sentence trail off and put down his hand.
Cadence promptly raised her hand. Magic was incredibly practical. "Professor, sometimes when I have a lot of things to carry, I levitate them so I don't have to make more than one trip. Oh! And one time, the sinks were full in the bathroom in our dormitory, so I used an aguamenti charm to rinse my mouth out after brushing my teeth. And I use cleaning spells a lot... I'm a bit clumsy sometimes," she said with a bit of an embarrassed smile.

Victoria timidly raised her hand. "Well...it can help you clean your house, help you with cooking, and reaching for objects that is out of your reach." After she spoke, she quickly brought her hand down and kept her eyes down.
