Paris was nice, but he wasn't really sure he wanted to go there. He was torn between Paris and New York. "What about New York? What do they specialize in?"
He looked at the samples. "I take it that you don't have anything sugar free?" He really should be good about that. He didn't want to upset Brody about anything. She worried. 'What about New York? What do they specialize in?' "If you'd like to hear more about New York, I would have you ask Mister De Palma. That is where he went to the institute so he would know the best." Maybe that was the problem, New York is where Denny got the sillies and he's just trying to spread it to the world. "Unfortunately no, this is an all sweets table." Leo said with a sad smile. He wondered if this was one of the things that would turn people of to their table.

How about those peanut buttered waffles? Gah... but it looked so good... "I had a big breakfast..." Selena said but her voice trailed off at the end. "Eh, why not," she said as she reached over. She looked at it. Now... which one should she choose?
Selena shook her head. No. Ice cream was bad for her!! Besides, Selena couldn't have too much sweets. The chocolate in her pocket begged to differ. Selena sighed. She took one healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream. But it would get lonely! So she drizzled dark chocolate onto it. It would balance out the flavours a bit. She sprinkled some of those colourful candies onto it. Gahh. It looked so empty. So Selena dropped several gummy bears and drizzled it in white chocolate. What the heck? It wouldn't be that bad? Selena placed another scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or else it'd get too sweet. She placed on it some more dark chocolate. After all, Selena did love her chocolate. Selena grinned at it. Nah. It was missing something... She plopped into it some muggle jellybeans. Now it looked good. But should she really be eating it? "Thanks," Selena said happily to the oter guy who had seemed quite boring. "So, are you going to tell me about him now?" Selena asked. Denny watched excitedly as she mixed and selected and drizzled and piled on more and more to her treat. "Inspired combination! Well done!"
He paused though, at her statement. "Him? Him who? Me? Or..." She followed her gaze and saw her looking at Leo. "Ahhh. Do you want to talk to Mister Baccus instead? His story is much different from mine." He leaned forward to whisper again. "Mine involved a whipping cream avalanche."
Ok, so maybe it didn't. But exciting, right? Quote:

Denny leaned an elbow on the table. "Did you have specific questions?"

He eyed the sweets sadly, but refrained from taking one. He didn't want to risk anything.
Moving over to the other end of the booth, he nodded. Yes, he was interested in that campus. "I was wondering what they specialize in over at that campus." |

And she would sit me in a highchair in the kitchen and I would watch. Just watch and watch and watch. Denny gestured dramatically. "It's located near the muggle Culinary Institute of America, so several students each term will study there. And if the bustle of a muggle metropolis is what you're looking for, Manhattan is a simple apparition or muggle train ride away." Quote:

She wondered how he managed to explode things though... She had turned on the oven and it had almost exploded on her... "How did you explode your experiments?" Selena asked. She really wanted to know. Maybe it was like her? Selena wouldn't make a good chef though... she was too clumsy... plus she had a pretty bad attention span. Selena just took a bite out of her ice cream. Yum~ Sugar~

Heh. Oof! Leo was about to start scolding Denny for acting so crazy again when he started introducing him in a complimentary way to the students before them.
Without realizing it for a few moments, Leo felt his face flush. He didn't even mind when Denny ruffled his hair..twice.
Smiling to Denny he replied, "Hey thanks, mate. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the wonderful and talented Denny DePalma who constantly reminds me that cooking is not just a job, it's a way to have fun."
This WAS fun after all with Denny, even if Leo didn't seem to always want to admit it sometimes. They should do things like this more often. Nod.

Open mouth, bug-eyed stared. "Why, my dear boy, would you assume that cooking well, cooking creatively, cooking magnificently, is limited to women? Hmmmm? And even if it was a female dominated field, would it a problem? I should hope not!"
Denny had perhaps gotten a little squeaky and had begun to gesticulate wildly during his little rant. "Here. Try the pumpkin pie." He thought that would be a much better result that simply the carrot cake, as he handed the boy a bite. Quote:

Grabbing a bit of the creme brulee, he walked over to Leo. "This taste right to you?" He feigned actual concern. If anyone was going to be worried about how the food tasted, it was Leo.
The high-kicks would be worth it. Quote:

They like to see some experience so if you can spend some time in a restaurant, either apprenticing at a wizarding establishment or interning with the muggles, it'll help you tremendously with applying to the longer programs."
Denny leaned over and whispered conspiratorially. "And I so happen to have apprenticeships for the summer."
