Zane smiled as he wrote down his code. "Wow this is kind of a pain, but it's fun!" he thought to himself. He wrote the note out, folded it up, and put Alex's name on it.

That's great! After is fine. Where'd you find it?
Aw jeez. Now she gotta make up a place. Quickly glancing at Kylie with a small innocent friendly smile, she picked up her pencil and wrote down her own message. She didn't particularly like lying to friends but... yea.
SPOILER!!: Note for Kylie
5519 285 36999469 26 285 8963541.
Flicking it back to Kylie, afterward she busied herself with writing notes into her notebook. Like what cryptomancy was. Weird concept but it was cool.
Hmm, so they were able to create their own messages? Oh this was going to be brilliant. Perhaps she and Destiny could write coded messages to each other in classes. Mwaha! Or anywhere else if they didn't want someone reading it.
Now to just think of a message. Staring at the letters, her thought process was suddenly interrupted when she heard her name somewhere. Frowning, she looked around, only to have a paper airplane in her face. ACK! Snatching it angrily out of the air, she looked for the culprit. Her expression softened though when her eyes landed on Patroclus. How come she didn't notice him sitting there before?
Smiling, she opened up the parchment and looked at the numbers. Hehe. Working on translating it, it took a few minutes for her to work it out, but when she did, a small smirk appeared on her face. Quickly writing her own message down on the same parchment, before putting it back into it's paper airplane form, and throwing it back to her next to favorite Gryffie.
SPOILER!!: Patroclus' parchment with an added something

Patroclus watched as the brown haired girl, translated his coded message. Her decoding was effecient, as it seemed in less than a minute the parchment plane returned. Unfolding the page, Patroclus got to work

Finishing his code, the plane once more took flight, Patroclus making sure this time it hit the desk, not the Slytherin's face!

She really hoped her notes made sense...
Patroclus was surpirsed to see a folded page appear infront of him, Damn Evelyn is quick, he thought to himself, however turning it over the saw scrolled on the front was the author's name, Kylie!
patroclus began to work out the code, it took him some time, and he cold help by laugh at his result!

Sliding the page back, Patroclus smiled, he should have been great at this, but he wasn't well not yet anyway!
Ugh. Zane boy, good luck. "Here," she said as she passed that to Zane boy before scribbling out another one.
SPOILER!!: For Alex
587 91 2891 14 8194?
"And here," Selena said. "Have fun~" she said. Any message that came her way, she was probably going to decipher wrong...

Nodding at the students a she overlooked their work, she couldn't help but feel pride at HOW SMART these kids were. "Yes, precisely. So as you all look nice and relaxed enough like you've been drinking butterbeers at the Three Broomsticks over the weekend, lets carry on with the lesson." Sounds like a plan to her, as that was why they were here, yes? Yes. She shook her head, amused by Chris' energy; he certainly was very enthusiastic.
"Who can tell me what cryptomancy is? Raise your hands and then speak please, in turn."
Great. Her quill had fallen, out of her grip and down on the floor. Bending to pick it up, Gold had an accidental peek at a girl's parchment. Eh? The translation there was... not correct. But Professor Hadley had said it was. Or did that mean Gold's own was incorrect?
She raised a hand.
"Professor, is the translation 'quietly' or 'quickly'?

Gold raised a hand. "I think that would make sense, professor," she said, politely. "Cryptomancy is considered a technique of Divination, after all. We have Cryptography as well, which is basically a study of ciphers, codes and hidden information, but Cryptomancy has always been more of a method of Divination. Prophecy seems to fit, since mancy is a suffix that basically indicates that something is a means of divination. Like Odontomancy is divination based on toothaches, and Pneumancy is divination by air or wind."
Okay, so she had totally rambled, Gold could tell. But at least she had put her two cents in.

Gold lowered her hand, and looked around. Everyone she knew seemed to be pretty busy, exchanging coded notes. Eep! She needed a partner.

Zane smiled as he wrote down his code. "Wow this is kind of a pain, but it's fun!" he thought to himself. He wrote the note out, folded it up, and put Alex's name on it.
Alex read the paper going through it a few times and wrote the translation down,
Alex went through Selena's next humming snorting before writting,
SPOILER!!: Translation to Selena's Message to Alex
Why Is This So Hard?
She then gave Selena her first message,
SPOILER!!: Alex's message
5533, 9 315'2 453945 5812 26 59925.
Now to wait for them to reply.
Selena sighed as she looked at the numbers.
SPOILER!!: Translation to Alex's note
Well, I can't decide what to write.
That was quicker than she had expected. Now... to make a reply.
SPOILER!!: reply to Alex
9 465'2 3925 2891 28956. 266 4338 5692...
She passed it back to Alex.

Xylon tore a page out of his notebook and wrote something down. Then he folded up the page into a paper airplane and threw it at Gold.
SPOILER!!: Note
1 4 9 9 2
Ouch.
Something hit her, in the back of the head. It wasn't heavy, but it was definitely pointy. AND, of course, it had to wedge itself in her hair. Her beautiful, red hair. With a little frown, Gold reached up, to gauge what had attacked her. Who, she would see to, later.
It was a paper airplane.
Eh?
She unfolded it, and saw that it contained a code. With a little frown, she looked around, but saw no one looking over at her. Strange. With a shrug, the sixth year scrutinized the code and.... and, half a second later, knew EXACTLY who had written the note. Ugh. Just UGH!
Dipping her quill in PINK! ink, she wrote down a reply, right beneath what was already written on the creased paper.

Code for YOU:

With an oh-so-sweet, little smile to Xylon, Gold folded up the paper and, leaning over, handed it to him.

Reason: Wrote "a" instead of "an." =p
Xylon took the little note back, unfolded it and ------ smirked.
"Clever," he mouthed.
Smirkkk.
Opening his textbook he started to try to translate her message. It would be one meant to annoy him, of that he had no doubt ------- and it was. Grinning at the translation, he wrote it down.
SPOILER!!: Translation!!
Please wash YOUR hair.
He had capitalized the 'your' on purpose. With a smirk, Xylon looked back at his textbook to whip up a new code.
SPOILER!!: New code!!
763 4652 49952 51259 99782?
........ and that, if she got what it meant would set her off. Xylon returned her smile with one of his own as he handed her the folded-up page.

After writing down everything she could in her notes, Mina glanced around the room. She was in need of a partner and she really didn't know where to start. Perhaps, she should have just sat near the middle instead of her usual spot in the front. It was a bit late to move now, but she would have to keep in mind this moment for next time.
Spotting a familiar face, she smiled and pulled out a piece of parchment and jotted down a quick note.
Xylon took the little note back, unfolded it and ------ smirked.

Git.
GIT!
Gold hated, hated the way Xylon smirked at her. AND he did it all the time. Like, literally. They had yet to be in each other's company for more than five minutes, without that. In all honestly, she should ahve gotten used to it, by now. But she hadn't. Gold STILL expected him not to smirk, once in a while. So much for keeping one's hopes up.
Rolling her eyes at the thought, she smoothed out the creases in the paper, and spread it on her desk. Her left eyebrow shot upwards, the moment she caught sight of the capitalized "your."
Git.
Shaking the thought off, she turned her green gaze on the new code he had provided, instead. Question mark at the end? Interesting. It took her a little while to figure it out but, the moment she had, she shot him a look. Oh, she got what the message meant. Fire. He called her Fire, a nickname that annoyed her beyond all reason because of the way he said it. Because of the way it implied that she had an oh-so-ferocious temper.
That fiery wasn't good.
Meh.

Translation: You don't drink water, right? XYLON SAAR!
Crossing out the last, two words, she half-grinned at the antics the two of them were always up to. Then she folded up the page in two, and tossed it back at him. Should fall right in his lap.
That look.
Meant that she had totally gotten the meaning!!
Trying his best not to smirk (she might as well get fed up and punch him like she had done that one time in Diagon Alley) Xylon raised his hand and deftly caught the folded-up paper that looked like it had been aimed to fall in his lap.
Whoaz!! Tricky code. It was long. But what helped Xylon figure it out wuz that there wuz a lot of repetition.
SPOILER!!: Translation!!
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Grinning at the crossed-out little note written beneath her code, he wrote down a new one.

Sooo he had caught the note. Gold eyed Xylon, pretty sure he was trying his best not to smirk again. She hated it when he did that! Because it was always sooooo clear that he was trying not to smirk.
Must. Not. Roll. Eyes.
Grabbing hold of the note, Gold tapped it with her wand, to smooth out the creases. It really was getting all crumply-ish. Eep, what if it tore? Gold didn't want that to happen, before she had figured out what he had replied with! Which was actually pretty easy to figure out, given the similarities between her code and his. AND, of course, that answer had been expected.
Typical.

She made a couple of faces, as she leaned forward to slip him the note. This was starting to get exhausting. Gold needed a little break. The kind where she could stretchhh her legs, and then get back to work.
Xylon accepted the note and was surprised to see how short the new code was. He didn't even have to refer to the textbook to figure it out.
SPOILER!!: Translation!!
Tired.
Half smiling, he scribbled something beneath the translation before handing the note back to her. Her message (what with the smallish sad smiley she had made beneath it and all) had been so adorable he didn't even want to smirk at her. Though that feeling would wear off really soon, he knew.
SPOILER!!: New code!!

Well, that was rare. Xylon + smile = RARE. Usually, he was too busy smirking to smile, you know.
Must have something to do with her message.
She took the note back, yet again, and quickly unfolded it. Deciphering the little message, she wrote the translation down and then, half-turning her head to look at Xylon, gave him a little nod to show that he was right. They could, after all, not exchange coded information forever.

Translation: This is enough for now, I think.
♥
Having made a little, pink heart at the end of the page, Gold re-folded and pocketed it. She could totally stick this in her diary! Even though Xylon DID annoy her. But he was a good guy underneath the 'I-am-such-a-jerk' exterior, she knew. Well, usually. You know? Placing her quill down, she screwed the lid of her inkpot back in place.

Once having flicked the piece of parchment back to Kylie, Evelyn saw the paper airplane flying towards her. This time, not aimed at her face. Snickering, she grabbed it out of the air and opened it.

Shrugging her shoulders however, she moved her attention back to Patroclus and threw the airplane back. Pretty much aiming for the back of his head.

Evelyn had to cover her mouth to mute the laughter that suddenly appeared. Not only was it rude to laugh at someone who was hurt, but she didn't need the Professor to be hanging over her shoulder the whole lesson. Perhaps throwing the paper airplane at Patroclus' head wasn't such a good idea.
Controlling the laughter though, she leaned back in her seat with a small smile on her face as she waited for a reply. Her shoulders shook every now and then, trying to contain herself; that is, before she had to distract her mind from the funny image.
She didn't look long though when the plane arrived by her feet. Eep! Picking it up, she opened it up and started to work it out. However, her smile faded slightly into a look of confusion. Raising a brow, she wrote her own reply underneath.

Replying to his message rather quickly, finding it easier to write without actually looking in the book to find the numbers that matched the letters, Evelyn gave the parchment back to Patroclus. However, she did notice the smile on her face growing slightly as she watched the paper airplane float back over to the Gryffie. Of course he wasn't just a chef to her. What he was though was to be remained a secret.
She was surprised to see he airplane suddenly back on her desk only after a few minutes that she gave it to Patroclus. Decoding the message, a small smile played across her face, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Dianna finally had something to write and so tore a piece of paper and wrote down the code. She placed it on the edge of her table and blew it as hard as she could. Yep. It landed on someone's table but who knows who?
