Looking up to see who actually was talking, surprised that anyone even heard her question, Evelyn's gaze landed on the red headed prefect when she saw that little nod.
Aw, Gold. She was cool...
But, that still didn't help her. "The calendar month?" How in the world did she get through the final!? Yea, see, this is what finals did to people's brains! Knew one thing, and a moment later, it disappears. "So, it's any month we want to calculate the number for? It doesn't necessarily have to be for our birth month...or the current month right now."
She juuust had to be certain on what she was doing.
Had she confused Evelyn? Gold hoped not. She gave the girl a polite nod, about to explain, but Professor Hadley picked up the question. Smiling lightly, Gold turned back to her work.
Right. Now to calculate a Personal Day Number that matched either her Heart's Desire, or Life Path, Number.
Gold decided to break things up, and take them step-by-step. She would start with the Heart's Desire Number. Hers, as she had calculated a gazillion times - including once for an assignment Professor Hadley had given them, earlier this term - was eight. Which was the Personal Day Number she needed, to make them match. Eight.
Picking up a quill, she dipped it PINK! ink, and began to write.

Oh, this seemed easy.
Unless the Professor just made the first part easy, then BAM! she springs the hard part on them all. Pulling out some parchment and her quill, she looked over at Evelyn, with a rather goofy grin on her face before she got to work on her Personal Year number. Hehe, it was her year and her year only!!
To be completely honest, Ivory had been so busy day dreaming about being outside that it took her a little more than she liked to tune back into the class discussion. And after a small feeling of chastisement even though no one had scolded her she opened her text book and journal and got to work.
Biting the inside of her cheek as she dipped her quill, she wrote out her calculations as neatly as she could.

Gold felt a little proud. But she could, couldn't she? Because she was the first - and so far only - person to have actually done what Professor Hadley had asked them to. Then again, she loved Arithmancy to BITS, and she had a feeling not many people found it a favourite subject.

Alex blinked, so it wanted her to forgive and forget everything that happened this year.. okayy then now for the Personal Month Number, which confused her.. so they added the Calendar's number to there Personal Year Number? Did they mean the number of the month it was, which was Seven or the date it was? Alex sighed well it obviously was 6.. and her personal year number was 9.. she jolted down some of what she got.. but she was just plain confused, "Professor, what would it mean if you don't match it up to one of your Life Path or Heart's Desire number?" Alex asked curiously, she had only got the 'first' and again that had only matched the Number 6 which wasn't either of the ones she, the Professor, wanted them to match as Six was her Personality number.. wonderful and she had no idea how the Professor got the second and fifth of those.. she was confused and she so didn't like it at all.
Patroclus blushed as he saw his error, luckily it was only a simple transcribing error, nothing like using the wrong formula, which would be embarrassing, consider it was on the board. "Thanks!" he grinned.
Patroclus quickly scribbled out the original additions and came up with a new answer. There! he thought to himself.
Next he quickly wrote on the top of his parchment his Heart and Life numbers.

After adding her Life Path and Heart's Desire numbers to her paper, she suddenly realized her Personal Year Number already matched her Heart's Desire Number. Awesome. Did that count? Well she was still going to do the others of course, even if it did. She added a little note to the side of her Personal Year Number then continued with her calculations.

Watching the professor do another example of what they were supposed to be doing, the process suddenly clicked in her mind as a look of realization crossed her face. Ohhhhh! She got it now...
Nodding her head, and humming a very, very quiet tune under her breathe, the Slytherin started to work on the other numbers and then finally ending with the final Personal Day numbers for the month of June. Aw, this was so much easier now. And hopefully it'll stick in her mind so she didn't have to suddenly be all confused the next time she looked over these steps.
Writing her Life Path and Heart's Desire numbers on top top of her other calculations, the black eyed Slytherin stared down at her notebook before looking for the numbers in her calculations.
