Knowing the stress of the end of term, Professor Hadley had decided to help relieve some of that by letting the fresh, crisp air into her classroom. Mina smiled as she make her way into the classroom and made a straight trip to her usually stop. Yes, it was time once again for Arithmancy. SHe had her thinking hat on and was so ready now.

Sitting down, she bounced slightly in her chair waiting for the lesson to begin.

Ellie walked into class and took a deep intake of breath. The windows were open! And though she loved the smell and the breeze that may come in, she knew that that was no good. Too many distractions. But still, Professor Hadley was the one who opened the windows. Not her. So, she was going to take advantage of it. And she cheerfully found a seat next to a window. Oh, how the fresh air can make you so much happier!

Ohh, it felt lovely in here! That was what Vashti noticed first. It felt just like it would outside right now, and if she closed her eyes, she could imaigne herself just sitting against a tree...or laying in the grass...or...

Oh, yeah. Arithmancy. Right.

Hoping she hadn't stood there too long and looked like a fool, Vashti quickly took a seat, ready for the lesson to begin.

Gold skipped into the Arithmancy class, red hair French braided and green eyes bright. One would think she would have shadows beneath those eyes, and she did - Gold couldn't help staying up late, trying to revise for exams even though she knew she had already crammed, understood and practiced all there was to cram, understand and practice for the upcoming exams.

But that didn't mean she didn't look happy.

Sitting down in a seat in the second row, the sixth year slung her bag over the chair, and waited for the lesson to start. Because this class was that of one of those subjects that she really, reallyyyy liiiked.

Alex sighed entering the classroom, she breathed deeply as she entered, it seemed the Professor had the windows opened, Alex thought glancing around before taking a seat in her usual spot. She pulled out a quill, ink and parchment just in case she needed to take notes.. or something else after all it was the last lesson was it not?

Carter entered the classroom. Not seeing the Professor around he went ahead and found his usual seat. He waved to Mina and then retrieved his notes from his bag. He set them on the table and waited for the class to begin.

A bit exhausted, Evelyn entered the classroom and immediately went to the back of the room to find a desk. Which was, far away from Carter.

Mwahahahahaha!

Taking out her notebook, quill, and ink, the Slytherin leaned back in her seat and sighed. Right now, these seats were comfy. Definitely. Enough to even, make her close her eyes just for a bit until class started.

Ah. Last class. It meant that it was almost time for exams, which wasn't so good, but it also meant that summer was close! How refreshing. And even more refreshing since the window was open and it smelled of outside.

Jimbo sat down and breathed in the fresh air. How nice. Makes him all relaxed. And kinda sleepy. Hopefully he didn't fall asleep. That wouldn't be good. He sat up and shook his head. Go away tired-ness. He took out all his stuff and tried to stay awake.

Mwaha!

Destiny stood in the doorway to the classroom, making sure any evidence of her chocolate binge was not on her face. She didn't need Evelyn telling her to stop eating the stuff..again. Just because she didn't like it, didn't mean she could RID the world of it! Although, it would be funny to see her friend try.

Sure that her face was clean, she headed to the back of the room, taking the empty seat next to Evelyn It was a good thing the air inside the class was nice, or else her friend might have been able to smell the chocolate on her.

Iris walked into the classroom on her own, kinda giddy at the fact that it was the last class of the year. Well, in Arithmancy at least. As she walked in, the smell of summer that hit her was so refreshing. It was amazing. Walking down through the tables, Iris found her usual seat, and dropped her stuff on the desk.

Seeing Jimbo, she flashed him a quick smile, and then busied herself with getting her quill, ink and textbook out.

Marie walked into the arithmancy room hoping this class would go by fast. She wanted to sneak down to the nursery later to see Frankie and Kali. Hopefully she would have time for that.

Right away she spotted Carter in the back of the room so she went to sit with him. She then seen Evelyn and Destiny in the back no the other side of the room. She smiled and waved at her friends as she sat next to Carter. Maybe one of these days Evelyn would actually become friends with Carter like Destiny had.

Josephina was nervous and it felt almost like her last class of the term was her first. There were a variety of reasons as to why she'd be nervous, but most of which she would not care to admit. For one though, there was that endless amount paperwork on her desk back at her office. End of the year papers were always the worst.

Which was why she planned a nice, easygoing class for today. Even though it was over ten years since she'd taken exams for school, she would still remember the pains of studying and trying to take a lesson. So she was sure it was no different today with the students.

Taking a seat on her desk, she gave a smile of recognition at the bright students who still showed up, even for her last lesson! "Good afternoon, everyone! How's the breeze?" She mused casually, resting her palms on the tabletop on either side of her. "Anyway, I'm not sure if any of you have taken my final yet..." as these students were probably the smart ones in waiting for the last class. "But if you have, you might have experienced some confusion in calculating one of the numbers. That number, we're going to discuss today. Can I get any guesses as to what number that is?" her brown eyes danced around the classroom, dazzled.

OOH. The breeze. "It's awesome, Professor," Gold said, quite truthfully. Because, you know, it was.

Oh, and the discussion had started. On the final. She raised a hand, to answer the question. "I personally thought the final was easy, ma'am," she said, cheerfully. "Lengthy, but easy. But I do know that some of my friends get confused, when they have to calculate a Personal Day Number. Maybe that's the one you're talking about."

It was a guess, of course.

The Gryffindor Prefect sure knew how to flatter, that was one thing at least. And of course she would find the final easy; it wasn't just anyone off the streets who would earn themselve's 12 NEWTs. "Yes, precisely correct. The Personal Day number is what we will be working on today."

"These are days in which you might feel a particular sort of special vibe given your own core numbers. Some people might not even notice them, but to others, these days might even become their lucky days," Professor Hadley explained, figuring it was best to just explain what was going on. They'll get credit for the activity. "It is important to note that you should pay particular attention when your personal day number matches your life path or Heart's desire numbers, as the subtle influence from the day number will be added to whats already a strong influence in your life."

"Please note that you calculate your Personal Day number by adding the number of the calender day to the number of your personal month. Using your Heart's Desire and Life Path Numbers, then I want you to work independently or with a partner to discover days within the coming months in which that personal day number matches one of those two numbers."

OOC note: Unfortunately I was called into work for much of Wednesday =(, which is why I'm starting early with an activity. Bounce ideas off each other if you get stuck. Use chapters 18-20 in the textbook as necessary.
Calculate your Heart's Desire and Life Path Numbers if you haven't done so yet, as you obviously will need them for this lesson.
Also remember that the current calender month and year is June 2072

Aw that's riiigghht. The Personal Day number. She could see how that would have stumped a few people, however, Evelyn had pretty much read the whole book this year out of curiosity on what all the other numbers were, so she had known what to do. Other people though...perhaps not? They'll be lucky if they took the exam after the lesson however. She herself had a little problem with the number though she thought she did pretty good on it.

Smiling over at Marie, Evelyn flipped to a new page in her notebook that wasn't doodled on before moving her attention back to the professor. So, she was making them calculate their Personal Day number? Well, alright then.

Pulling her notebook closer to herself, Evelyn dipped her crazy quill into the black ink before starting on her work. However, it was only minutes after she had quickly started that she needed to be certain on something. She, forgot what she did on the final. "Does anyone know if we are supposed to use our birthday month or the current month for the Personal Month calculations?"

Oooh! Calculations! Gold loved those. Well, she loved Arithmancy in general, as anyone who knew her well, was aware.

"Calender month," she said, giving Evelyn a little nod of her head, as she answered the girl's question. She hoped she was right because, you know, she had studied her heart out, for the Arithmancy OWL, last year. But it had paid off, so that was alright. "That would be the month you're calculating the Personal Month number for, if I'm not mistaken."

She smiled at Evelyn, and returned to her own work.

Now, for the calculations.

Looking up to see who actually was talking, surprised that anyone even heard her question, Evelyn's gaze landed on the red headed prefect when she saw that little nod.

Aw, Gold. She was cool...

But, that still didn't help her. "The calendar month?" How in the world did she get through the final!? Yea, see, this is what finals did to people's brains! Knew one thing, and a moment later, it disappears. "So, it's any month we want to calculate the number for? It doesn't necessarily have to be for our birth month...or the current month right now."

She juuust had to be certain on what she was doing.

Josephina looked up toward the Slytherin girl and nodded. "Precisely, Miss Flores. When calculating your personal month to use in calculating personal day numbers, you use your personal year number and add it to whatever month you want to calculate for. Could be in two months, six months, or even the same month, two years ago, as long as you changed the year number to correspond to what time you're looking at. Any month though."

"Speaking of which, go ahead and calculate your personal year numbers for this year, 2072, since you're looking for matching personal day numbers to heart's desire and life path numbers for this year. And you'll need that number to get your personal month number." Hadley explained, as she wrote on the board directions to calculate the personal year number:

"For example, my birthday is April 2, so I would write as such...." she trailed off as she calculated her year number on the board.

Daiy wrote down her birthday in numbers and the current year. When she added them up she quickly. Nine. As she read what the book said about the number nine she just nodded in agreement.

The boy needed this lesson, he was freaking out about the upcoming final, Him and numbers were not friends!

Watching as the professor did an example on the board, Patroclus allowed himself to believe just for the slightest moment, that it was easy.

Here goes, he sighed, dipping his quill in ink.

Alex almost rolled her eyes at the fact the Professor had just put not only HER Personal year number but in fact had put up Alex's at the same time.. great what say could she do now?.. Alex rose her hand, "Do we have to do the current year? Are we allowed to do a different one like say the year we were born in instead?" Alex asked considering the Professor had taken the same date that she was born after all, April 2nd.. only naturally she wasn't near her Professor's age.

Ohhh she got it now. Well thank Merlin for that! Nodding her head, Evelyn looked back down at her notebook and quickly finished up the other calculations before looking over the personal year number.

Checking it, and then the example on the board, the Slytherin smiled to herself before placing her quill down on the table. Seemed good enough.

Mmm. Brody wasn't that good at Arithmancy. But she gave it ago, only because...well she sort of had to. She looked up at the bored, reading through the instructions, before she began to write on her parchement. She hoped she did this write....because she wasn't that good really.
