| | |  Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors
Banner by: GryffindollOOC: If your character is ill or injured, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first.
Once you've properly alerted Healer Ashford that you are in the Hospital Wing and in need of medical condition, you'll need to proceed to the Waiting Room, the room in which Healer Ashford will look for you when it's your turn to be seen. There is only one Healer (Healer Ashford) on duty, and she will see to you as soon as she can. It's possible that at the time of your visit, many other people may also be waiting to receive medical attention, as well.
Even if your character is in serious condition, though, there's simply no need to worry about the wait time. It's usually very short, and Healer Ashford promises that you'll be seen to and healed within a reasonable amount of time. In the meantime, feel free to sit down or lie across one of the many padded benches Healer's Ashford has put into place so that your wait time can hopefully be a little more pleasant.
OOC: Every character will receive an equal opportunity to see the Healer. Despite how severe you may or may not consider your character's condition to be, please continue to wait your turn rather than proceeding into the Hospital Ward and Healing Area on your own.

Carter wobbled in. It hurt to walk normally. He had no idea where all these crazy boils came from. It must have had something to do with that flash of light. He had nearly forgotten about the horrible break-up/fight he'd been in. He didn't think that because he said he was over it and had forgotten about it that it would be true. But here he was up in the hospital wing only now realizing what happened. Now it was only a question of who did it. Rafe or Marilyn. He turned toward Cadence. "How's your wrist?"

Nate rushed into the hospital waiting room and quickly looked left and right. He had ran all the way from the Common Room, which was alot for him. He was all out of breath and then he saw Cadence. He ran over to her and squatted in front of her. "Are you ok? What's wrong? Somebody said you were hurt." he said quickly looking all over her body for injuries. He noticed she was holding her arm. He gently wrapped his hands around where her's were placed and looked into her eyes. "Is it your wrist?" he said. | |

It was the second time she was here and, this time round, Gold was helping a friend. Unlike that last time, when she had had a couple of KneazleCruppies with her. Now, she just had a comforting arm round Brody, as she stepped into the waiting room.
"Are you any better?" she asked Brody, trying to sound as calm as she could, as she helped the 'Puff into a comfy-looking bench. Yes, she wasn't actually letting on how anxious she was. Brody looked so unusually weak and pale, it kind of unnerved her.

Brody was glad for Gold. Very glad, because she probably wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for her. She didn't really like hospitals all that much. She smiled weakly at her friend, yes she was most definetly a friend now, and she rubbed her head again. Still hurting. She had to shrug at Gold's question. She didn't know if she was any better.
"Well I'm not seeing fuzzy spots." Because she saw them when she fainted, and that hadn't been a nice experiance. She coughed a little, before resting her hands in her lap. Torin was going to freak.

Wow. Another Quidditch-related injury. That seemed to be the reason for a good half of the visits to the Hospital Wing. As a former Quidditch player, though, it was something Gabriella could relate to. She placed the check-in book back on the podium and made her way into the waiting area, blinking when she saw how full it had gotten. "Merlin," she half-mumbled, feeling sympathetic towards the children who'd gotten so ill or injured. "Chris Potter?" she called, scanning the area to try and find the unconscious Gryffindor. It wasn't as if he could hear her, but hopefully someone who was seated nearby Chris could call out to her and let her know where the boy was. Possibly the one who'd levitated him?

Hoping Nate hadn't seen her shaking hand, she put her wand away again and said, "Wellll, maybe I'll just... wait on the Healer." "Yeah. It's always helped me. It takes down the swelling and numbs the pain." Carter explained. "If you want I could do it for you..." he suggested. Chilling a cauldron and icing a person's wrist was pretty much the same thing, right? Or maybe he could run down to the kitchens and get some ice. That is, if he didn't mind being in public like this. He shifted uncomfortably. Stupid, stupid boils.

She sniffled a few times and laid her head back down against Nate's chest, closing her eyes as more tears leaked their way out of her eyes.

Nate gently caressed her wrist holding onto her. When he heard she was in the hospital his mind went to the worst possible scenarios. He thought she had broken ever bone in her body by falling off the playground or got a concussion. He held her closer and pecked a kiss on her neck trying to hid it. He was so happy to be holding her close to him again. He hadn't held her since winter break. He had been so busy the past few weeks. "I'm so glad its just your wrist." he whispered. He realized others were there but he just was so scared. He had sprinted up four flights of stairs to get there. | |

It was making her feel infinitely better. As he held her close she nuzzled her face into his neck, her tears falling onto his shirt. When he whispered in her ear, she nodded. "Thank you for coming so fast," she said quietly. Between the crying and the pain, her body was telling her to go to sleep. She closed her eyes and breathed in Nate's smell. It would have put her to sleep had her wrist not chosen that moment to ache painfully again. She sat up abruptly and grasped at her arm, her whole body clenching in pain.

Thalia stood up from the chair she sat in and started to make her way toward the appropriate room Healer Ashford had told her to head. She was glad to have finally been called to. "See you in a bit," she said to Parker. It was best if he stayed. She would rather be alone at the moment anyway.
