HEEAAVVENN!! Quote:
Mildred's lower lip quivered slightly when one young girl said this was her dream come true.. with WATERY EYES! Unable to help herself, Professor Piliwickle hurried towards her and enveloped the girl in a HUUUUUGE huggle. BIG HUGGLES. And then she let go before she strangled the poor dear. Quote:

Fresh from her recent huggling, Mildred continued bustling around the classroom. The children with the mutant butterfly SEEMED to have worked things out... hmmm. She'd keep an eye on that boy. Quote:

This young man looked as though he'd never even HEARD of the word FUN. Saaaad. "There'll be a day," Mildred smiled sweetly at him, "when you get the urge to PRODUCE butterflies. And then you'll be grateful you learned this spell. Why, when I was a young lady, someone proposed to me using this spell!" She GIGGLED rather wildly. MARRY ME, written in butterflies.. SIIIIIGH. Jack couldn't help but chuckle as the professor ruffled his hair. Sure she was REALLY out there and girly buttttt she was fun! Somehow she had managed to turn a lesson on conjuring BUTTERFLIES into something that Jack was actually interested in. Not that he'd tell anyone of course--butterflies were NOT manly. Papilio, he thought to himself once more, trying to picture a butterfly that was NOT green in his head. He pictured one that looked like a normal black and orange butterfly, whatever those were called again...he waved his wand and when he opened them, an entirely yellow butterfly had flown out of his wand and was circling his head. It wasn't orange, but he was getting closer! |
Tibi couldn't help but giggle again as the professor rushed forward to hug a student. She sure was excitable. Looking at her out of the corner of his eye, not really wanted to be hug-smushed himself, he thought about the next butterflies he would try. Blue? Orange? Considering the professor again, and her mention of making her room pretty, he thought of three butterflies that were a deep rose pink in color. Eyes closed briefly in concentration, Tibi tried the spell again. "Papilio." He smiled, opening his eyes, as a trio of the insects flitted away from his wand, their flight paths intertwining, before circling delicately over his desk. "This is really cool, professor," he said turning to her. He'd made butteflies appear out of nothing. And it hadn't been hard. He was like, getting better at this stuff. |

But still, had he been diabetic, she would've put him in a coma with that smile. And that wasn't a compliment, no. He did, however, smile back at her upon hearing her first words and although his smile seemed polite enough, it had an ounce of sarcasm there. Feel the urge to produce butterflies? He didn't think so. "I hope you said no." He murmured under his breath at her wedding proposal revelation. seriously? That was lame. "I mean .. " The old hag wasn't THAT deaf, she might have heard that. "Wouldn't that require two spells, Professor? One to produce the butterflies, a second one to control their behaviour?" Not that he cared, anyway. But Sebastian needed to act like he did. |

And then they could conjure MORE pretty things! |

Bella had stood looking round at all the other students conjuring up there butterfly's, Yes it was true she was really nervous. She knew she was going to make a fool out of herself. Lifting her slightly shaking arm she said: "Papilo" Nothing happened, she kept trying. Nearing her 5th try she was losing heart in her self, knowing she was going to fail! even if it was her first lesson this year! Sighing to herself she said the spell again. This time butterfly's flew out the end of her wand. She was soo surprised she almost dropped her wand, "I did it!" She said quitely, before saying it loudly! "I did it!" To the room |

Destiny thought she was being attacked again, but it was only Evelyn nudging her, and showing her a pink butterfly? 'At least you remembered her name.' Ahh, nicknames sure come in handy, 'And why are your butterflys pink?' Of all the colors to choose, Evelyn decides to make pink ones! She decided to give this one more try, but it any of these butterflies attack her again, she would quit. Concentrating hard on the type of butterflies she wanted, Destiny swished her wand, and 'Papilio!' A stream of blue butterflies zoomed out of her wand. Maybe too many blue butterflies.. 'Why did they have to be blue!?' |
They had to get bigger.Had to.She couldn't be the only one in the room with midget butterflies.Wasn't.Going.To.Happen. Clearing her thoughts, Sarah closed her eyes again and concentrated.Imagining big, beautiful butterflies in her minds eye was easy, getting them to come out of her wand? Not so easy.Swishing it in front of her once more, Sarah tried saying the spell out loud, wondering if her rubbishness at non-verbal was the reason she produced something so bad. "Papilio!" This time, and to her astonishment, 4 bigger yellow butterflies came fluttering out of the end of her wand.Sarah opened her eyes to find them circling her head, before watching as they flew off to join some others by the window.Turning to the Nutty Professor(TM), Sarah beamed. "This is so much fun, Professor Pilliwickle!" Yeah, she'd turned into a child again.A very young one. |
"Professor!!!!" Lucille suddenly cried out. "ProfessOr!! Heeeelp meee!!" Gulp Lucille was staring at one of her orange butterflys. She pointed, wide eyed and pale faced, to one that was quite out of sync of the flutterings of the others. A deep tear in it's wing was making it go sideways. Lucille looked up at teh professor with big eyes and a trembling lip. "Heelp!" she said. "I think its dead'd!!!!! What did i doo!!? Dont let it die, professor. DONT LET IT!!" |
Posts the image quickly because Katie is going to vom. Butterflies. *shudder* Conjuring butterflies? But why? It seemed like the most useless spell imaginable, except to make the room look prettier as the old professor said. Shrug. Ah well.. It was good magical practice. Right? Oliver screwed up his face, conjuring up an image of a butterfly in his mind. With his tongue peeking out the corner of his mouth in concentration, he waved his wand like the professor had and uttered the incantation. "Papilio!" And for some reason adopted a very strong Italian accent as he said it. Heh. Something erupted from the end of his wand. He grasped it with both hands and stared wide-eyed as the biggest butterfly he had ever seen started flapping about in front of him! “Waaah!” He yelped and took a few paces back. It was HUGE – like the size of a dinner plate.. and damn hairy. “Professor.” He whined, looking a bit pale and not taking his eyes off the monster. “H-how do we get rid of them?” … Without hitting them with a rolled up newspaper. eeek! Urrrrrrrh.. Oliver felt rather sick as the butterfly landed on his desk and.. was it looking at him? He tore his eyes away from it and glanced over at Pilliwickle with an expression that clearly said 'Heeelp meeee!' |

"I don't think it's the image that's the problem to be honest, Professor." Nancy more muttered to herself than to Professor Pilliwickle. Then with a small sigh and a This time concentrating hard on the color of the butterfly not the butterfly itself Nancy gave her wand a little flick while saying the incantation in her head. A number of blue-ish butterflies erupted from her wand this time, mixing with her black ones. Hehe. Quote:
EW! Being unable to keep her eyes off the enormous butterfly-monster-thingy Nancy heard the boy's question and replied, her wand slightly in front of her to be able to strike should the thing decide to attack her or something. "Erm...try Evanesco." She bit her lip while waiting for the boy to do something. Or the butterfly. Whichever reacted first. She was ready for both. Hopefully. |
Ella giggled at the name of the spell.. she had never heard any like it. Papilio, papilio... she thought for a little while before giving it a couple attempts. Nothing came out at first. She closed her eyes, maybe trying to imagine a pretty pink butterfly. "Papilio!" she said, and out came HALF of a butterfly. Just HALF. "I.. don't think I did that right.." she said with a nervous chuckle. Poor butterfly! How would it survive? She took a deep breath. Alright. "PAPILIO!!" And FINALLY, a nice pink beauty popped out of the end of her wand. How beautiful! She wanted to keep it. |
What? Magic? In a school? Of magic? "Uh," he frowned, pulling out his wand and staring at everyone else. "Puhh-pppapilililiahhh..." What was it again? Jake listened to everyone else... "Pppppapilio..." Nothing happened, obviously, and so Jake listened to everyone else. and repeated it, the first few attempts full of stuttering... until finally... "Papilio..." And... Jake's wand flew straight up into the air and he had to jump to retrieve it. Uh. "I hhhate magic," he muttered. |

Oh. She had noticed he hadn't really produced any butterflies, did she? Ah. Madam Pickle was smarter than she looked, apparently. A rather yellow-y smile formed on his lips and Sebastian nodded at her. Sure, he could produce a couple of butterflies. How hard could it be. Concentrating on what he wanted to produce, trying to push all thoughts of how useless this was out of his head for the moment, Sebastian waved his hand as he firmly muttered the incantation under this breath - "Papilio." Unfortunately, he was still trying to get a hold of the non-verbal spells. A handful of beautiful Purple Emperors appeared flying around his desk. "The male Purple Emperor, also known as apatura iris or even His Majesty." Sebastian informed the Professor, not sure if she would pay attention to this fact. Just because he hadn't wanted to produce the butterflies, it didn't mean he didn't know anything about them. Well, he just knew about these ones, really. He had seen quite a few while playing polo in the south of England. "The butterflies of kings and queens." He happened to know that they were some flying around Buckingham Palace's gardens. |
At this point Allison was surrounded by so many butterflies she began to worry. Where on earth did Professor Pilliwickle go? Sure she was extremely excited that she was able to conjure two butterflies...even if there had been three flies. But now that she had conjured the swarm of them, perhaps was one too many. She began to move side to side wondering what to do with so many of them. Should she make them disappear? Pointing her wand at them she began to giggle, with each movement of her wand the swarm followed. "Professor...do you mind so many of them?" Left. Right. Left. Left. To the left to the left!!! UuuUUu! Grinning Allison opened her arms, and as if knowing what she meant the mid-night blue butterflies dispersed themselves amongst others around the classroom. This was magic. This was the magic that muggle children were told about as night stories, this was the magic that filled the imagination of many children, this was the magic that made Allison feel happier than she had felt in the past few days. This was something she could remember with innocence and warmth. And she would; for these days at Hogwarts were perhaps the most crucial for Allison, because the future for her didn't look as bright as her mother hoped for. With sight finally in Allison's vision, she grinned blissfully at Arya. Transfiguration was providing her a new insight, and maybe even a favorite class. |

Since THIS young man was the one that was receiving the privilege of such a WONDERFUL and ROMANTIC story, naturally he - he - caught Neptune's attention. Oh did he. Neptune conjured a butterfly JUST for him, "PAPILIO!", and the same plain purple butterfly appeared for her. GIGGLING, she took it to Sebastian and presented it to him with a curtsy. And a giggle. Then she ran off back to her seat, ready to learn MORE MORE MORE! Could they conjure KITTENS next? Oh please please!! |

"At least yours are blue and not pink." Sitting back in her chair, she leaned her head back and stared at the ceiling. Only she couldn't, because there was a line of butterflies blocking her vision of it. And they were taking up her breathing space. Did butterflies breathe? |
The yellow and the blue butterfly kept flying around Miranda, and she laughed and tried to make them go away and fly somewhere else. She was totally into seeing those awesome things fly, when she heard a commotion and turned to see Oliver flailing around like...something. Her eyes grew wide as she watched... the really big butterfly flapping its wings. Talk about the butterfly effect. Errr, or something. She wanted to tell the boy to stand still and not make any sudden movements. But that was probably overreacting a little. Though, the creature did look...odd. And Nancy had told him what to do, so maybe hopefully that would work. Anywho, he was probably going to be fine, so Miranda tried again. Now she wanted a red one... "Papilio!" Nothing happened... Hmmm. She bit her lower lip and gripped her wand tightly, closing her eyes and imagined the butterfly. Red butterfly red butterfly red butterfly... "Papilio!" she muttered and out came a flying red and black flying thing. "Whoa..." she breathed and tilted her head to watch it float away. |

"OH, OH, OH!" Growing flustered, Professor Pilliwickle fumbled for her wand nervously. Pointing the tip of her wand at the butterfly's wing she mumbled a quick Reparo and Renervate and... and and and... "I think he's SAVED!!!" Quote:

Mildred just wanted... she just wanted to EATHIMALLUP!!! SQUEEE!! "Don't worry, sweetie," she smiled warmly, giving his head a light pat, "not everyone can get it right straight away! That's why we practice!" Quote:

Clearing her throat, Mildred moved back to the front of the classroom in order to address the kiddies. "Does anyone know what butterflies EAT!?" She giggled, happy with the swarm of colour they'd all created. Minus the few brown moths anyway. |
"They eat flowers," Dylan said, raising his hand. |

Raising her hand in the air, Sarah answered. "Is it fruit, ma'am? I've seen butterflies use a long thing on their head and suck juice out of oranges and things before." She proceeded to do an impression of said 'long thing', using her finger against her forehead. She looked like an idiot, frankly. |
WEEE! :D Tranfigurashuuuun. :D :D :D Quote:
Butterflies look pretty in her hair, anyways. hehe. |

"Erm....do they eat, like, Dust and stuff? I mean, they're not very big, are they. Surely they can only manage a bit of dust?" She stared at the healed butterfly as she said this. It didnt LOOk hungry, anyways. |
