Yeahhh, Kay was definitely going to kick herself after this potion wears off. How in the name of Merlin's chocolate chip cookie Destiny kept a straight face was unknown. She couldn't give it away that almost everyone at the table was under the influence of that sunshiny yellow potion. Still, it was better than it being magenta, Destiny would not be able to handle being licked by Kay. That would be going to far for sure.

To Destiny, it looked like Kay was having a mental fight with herself. Maybe the potion was wearing off, and one thing she knew was that she did not want to be here when it wore off. She wanted to be as far away from everyone as possible. And she had been itching to use the coupon she received from Professor Morgan to the Hog's Head. No matter how creepy and dirty it was in there, she would still get that free butterbeer. Yep. Destiny just smiled as Kay told everyone they were friends. That will be the day Merlin bakes her a pumpkin pie.



'Oh yes! That is too true Marie!' It was only half true actually. Destiny did say some things about Kay, and it was never how much she liked her. It was mostly talk about how many fingers she could hex off of her. Which right now, would be all of them. But, they were in a public place, full of people and there was a Prefect. Yeah, there would be no hexing.. not today anyway.

Destiny figured this was harder for Marie to do, since her and Kay had been friends at one point. Destiny and Evelyn had never been considered friends with that Hufflepuff, so it was rather easy, except for the laughs that were going to explode out of Destiny at any giving second. She looked from Kay to Marie as they exchanged nice words and wondered when they could leave. Georgie was getting suspicious..



Really? Just really? This girl was good, but Destiny had an answer. 'Oh, well she has been busy with Rex, you know.' Destiny knew alright, and it was sickening. Rex was like a cruppie, always following Kay around. Destiny knew what it was like to be a cruppie too.. 'I don't want to barge into their 'alone' time.' She didn't want to barge in on any of their time. Gross!

'I know what you mean!' No Destiny didn't. She could eat as much pie as she wanted and never get sick of it. She gave Kay an evil glance at the thought of pie before turning back to Georgie, 'Would you like something else instead of butterbeer? My treat!' Gahhh! Being nice is sickening!!

Annie was so screwing it up. Gladly, at the minute she was realizing, she had ordered with her right hand those two butterbeers and they appeared a second later. She took a long sip, then cleaned the extra puffy thing off her lips. She was nervous, really nervouss...

"My friend, Torin...is here with a couple of friends. I just haven't told him about you, and what is happening between us..." And what may happen. Something Annie needed to do soon, and get her head cleared off.

Her whole mind was doing weird twists. Come on, the whole thing about relationships was hard enough to understand for her. How could it be for Drew, she wondered that a lot, lately. While she tried to calm down, she held to Drew's necklace and played with the two plaques. Having something that belongs to him, around her neck was surely a lot meaningful to Annie now.

" You should know what is in the potion" Rex told Georgie. " Who knows maybe we will all be nice to each other for the rst of the term" Rex said to Georgie. " So are you and Barry a couple?" Rex asked Georgie.

"So this is how you treat me?" Rex asked Barry " Don't you think you should have asked me for my butterbeer?" Rex asked Barry. "Destiny brought it over for me to drink and I wanted to make amends with her and was going to drink it" Rex explained to Barry. " This is what you think of "The Magical Five?" Rex asked Barry." I hope you enjoyed my butterbeer" Rex sneered at Barry, then laughed. " It is cool" Rex told Barry. ' Better not happen again" Rex laughed.

" Are you ok?" Rex asked Kay. " Yes, you are friends but I know why" Rex said to Kay. " I had been honest with Marie, Evelyn and Destiny so we could all get along again." Rex explained to Kay. " I have an ancedote for you and let's get out of here" Rex whispered to Kay.

Georgie mock smiled, "Oh really? Well you should all join us sometime!" Yeah, when hell freezes over of course. But she had to keep up the nice facade as well, though she certainly didn't trust these girls.

Georgiana shook her head when Destiny offered her to get something else. "Oh no thank you! Really it should be me to get you something. After my rude bahviour earlier." Score, she could easily freak the girl out by pretending she could do the same to something of hers, but really, she'd missed last potions class. She didn't even know what it was!
Hearing Rex, Georgie blushed, "Is it really sad that I don't?" some student she was! Them being nice with the Slytherins? That would be interesting...very interesting actually. Gah, and then came THE dreaded question. Were they? "Well, yeah." she hoped Barry wouldn't mind her saying that! But she couldn't explain in full in front of Destiny!

"Well I have been rather busy this term, I haven't had time to hang out with Kay." Like she really wanted to, she would rather clean cauldrons for Kazi than spend time with Kay. "Well you and Barry make a cute couple." 'If you like butterbeer thiefs that is' she thought.

Marie just smiled at Destiny when she said how true it was about talking about Kay. She knew what kind of things it was that she said and none of them were nice. Then again, Marie never really said nice things about Kay anymore either.


Whoa, and finally Rex realized that the butterbeer thief took his drink. "Rex, it was only a butterbeer, I'm sure Destiny will get you another one if you want one from her that bad." Yes, hopefully Destiny still had some of her potion left to give Rex or else there would be no reason for her to get him another drink.
Wait, he's telling Kay he know why she is friends with Marie, does he know what she did? Oh, guess not, he thinks it is because of him, if he only knew the real reason, bwahahaha.
Wait, what is he whispering to her, he better not try to get her to leave, Marie was not done messing with Kay yet.

"Kay, you're not leaving us so soon are you? The fun is just beginning." Oh yes, Marie was ready to start being herself again. She was done being nice to Kay for one day.

The potion was begining to wear off. He looked over to Evelyn. "Oh. What happened? Why you so sad. I don`t like it when your sad" he said. What was her name? How could he not know her name and like her?

Next, Destiny. He liked her the most. Maybe if he wasn`t with George he might have even considered...."Quidditch? I like it but no I don`t play. I think its much better to watch and support. That way everyones happy. You?" Barry wasn`t normally this happy. Something was going on. Oh but no being happy was fuuuuuuuuuuuun. So he let it slide and went on being loopy Barry.

"Hi Marie!" Barry said smiling at his friend. They were friends right? They talked and didn`t fight so they were friends. "Yes I love slytherins, why wouldn`t I talk to them?" Barry didn`t know Kay and Rex hated the girls.

Rex! "Hey Rex! I`m sorry, I took some other potion which made me thirsty" A habit of his, taking potions " Come sit with us! Were all friends now!" Yay! He looked at Georgie and leaned in and gave her a small kiss. He still felt weird

" it is ok for you to take my butterbeer, i mean potion" Rex told Barry. "Well if you must know Barry. Jason's family plus Kay while living with Harry, Jason's uncle were never high on the Slytherins but the Gryffindors are making nice strides anyway" Rex explained to Barry. " Barry, you are part of the Black family right?" Rex asked him.

WHOA! Seriously, it was only a butterbeer. Rex didn't have to go all I'm gonna eat you on Barry for taking it. Rex really should have taken the potion too, make his less crazy and such.

Ohhhh, he was kidding. Ohh. Destiny let out a little laugh as she ralized he was joking. She was going to wash her mouth out with soap as soon as she got back to the castle. She is supposed to laugh AT Rex, not laugh WITH him. She felt weird. *shiver*

Ohhh good. They were going to leave. Not if Destiny beat them out the door. She was ready at any moment to run away..seriously.



HAHAHAHAHAHA!

'I would love too!' Yeah, how awesome would that be? Destiny hanging out with the Magical Five. Not awesome at all. She was getting sick just thinking about that. *double shiver*

OH NO! Destiny shook her head quite rapidly, 'No, no! It's fine. I don't need anything!' Eeek! What if Georgie had something stronger than this Camraderie Concoction? What if she was out to kill? Nope, Destiny would not be taking food off of anyone anymore, not even Evelyn..she was too shifty.



WHAAAAAT!? Destiny would not buy Rex another butterbeer. One, she had already wasted five sickles to many on the dinosaur and two, she didn't even have five sickles to buy another one! Hopefully he didn't take her offer. She would have to run to the Hog's Head and use her free coupon, then bring it back and give it to Rex.

Maybe they could hold Rex down and pour the potion down his throat. That would shut him up a bit..but that wasn't part of the homework, so that wouldn't be good.



Oh..this boy. 'No, I don't play.' She didn't have to go into detail about how her parents did not like girls playing sports. He didn't need to know that, it's not like they were friends. 'I'd rather watch too. Less dangerous.' Pffft, she could easily get hurt just like one of the players. What would happen if a stray bludger flew right at her face!? 'Are you looking forward to the first game here?'

When could they leave!?

"I'm glad to hear you love Slytherins, some whom shall remain unnamed seem to think differently than you do." She glared at both Rex and Kay. Sure Kay was acting like she was Marie's best friend but she knew better, she knew it was only because of the potion Kay took. That would be wearing off soon though and everything would be back to normal. The fluffy huffy would be her mean self again and Rex could stop pretending too. Or was Rex pretending? As far as Marie knew he didn't have any of the potion since Barry took his. Maybe Rex really was starting to see that Slytherins were good people.
Naaahhhhh, couldn't be, he had to be acting for that way for Kay, he wasn't that nice.

Okay, so did someone slip Destiny some of their potion? She was being awefully nice to everyone. If not, she sure was a good actor because she sure did seem like she was friends with everyone at the table.
Looking over at Kay she rememberd that Kay had given Destiny a butterbeer. Ooooohhhh, was that girl being sneaky too? Did she spike Destiny's drink? Looking at the bottle sitting there next to Destiny she couldn't tell if Destiny had drank any of it yet. Maybe she better warn her, but how would she do that without giving themselves away?

Riiiight.

This was not awkward at all.

Surely, Destiny has been in more awkward situations then this.

Who is she kidding? There would never ever be anything more awkward than this!! Maybe if Destiny could slide off the chair unnoticed, she could crawl right out of that door. She seen things like that happen on the muggle box, and they never were spotted.

'Is it hot in here, or what?' Maybe all the closeness of the people around her were finally getting to her. That had to be it. And all the smiling and talking was making her throat dry and thirsty. Grabbing the butterbeer that Kay had given her earlier, Destiny took a long sip of it.

And now she had a stupid smile on her face. And why did she feel like hugging Kay? 'THIS IS SO NICE!!!'

This was getting too much. All the friendliness with the enemies and their friends...

TOO MUCH!!

Just about to give an excuse to leave, she spotted Destiny taking a sip of a drink, and then she turned into one of them! Great! Now she couldn't leave, because she had to prevent Destiny from doing anything stupid. Like hugging Kay or something. Or worse...hugging Rex.

"Destiny." she whispered to her friend, poking her in the shoulder. "Scoot over here." Gesturing to the empty space next to her, she stared at her friend with pleading eyes. Please...sit next to her, and away from Kay and Rex. SOMEONE tampered with her drink, and Evelyn totally forgot who was the one to give the butterbeer to Destiny.

HEEHEEHEEHEE!

Destiny was..HAPPY! Yes, that was the only word that could describe how she felt at the moment. She wanted to run up and hug EVERYONE that was int the Three Broomsticks. Everyone should be as happy and friendly as she was feeling. She was just about to run up and hug Kay, but Evelyn had called her name. Of course! Destiny would have to give her best friend a hug first! Scooting over to be closer to Evelyn, Destiny propped her elbows on the table and rested her chin on her hands, 'BEST FRIENDS! All OF US!'

Now would be a great time for a GROUP HUG!

WHAT!!!! BEST FRIENDS ALL OF US!!!!!

Now Marie knew there was something wrong. "Destiny, did you drink the butterbeer Kay gave you?" she leaned over and whispered to her. That had to be it, Kay had to put something in the drink, there was NO WAY Destiny would call Kay her best friend.

She looked over at Kay with a Did you do this to her look. Sure, they had done it to Kay and Barry, well it was supposed to be Rex, not their fault Barry stole the drink from Rex, but hey, who said they could pull one over on Destiny, that was just so..... NOT COOL.

Marie moved closer to Destiny. Maybe if her and Evelyn stayed close enough to her she wouldn't do anything she would regret later.

Rue opened the door and a current of hot air hit her face. She smelled a mixture of scents, including butterbeer and chicen noodle soup. Boy, that smelled GOOD!

Drew noticed that there were the two butterbeers there. Thank goodness this was becoming quite awkward. He took a sip as he listened to Annie. "Ohhh well ummm." How was he suppose to answer this??? "It's okay." He looked away. That was weird to say right....

He looked back at Annie and saw her playing with his necklace. He smiled slightly. "Sooo I guess you do like it then." He as and took another sip of his butterbeer.

How more akward can this go in later minutes? Very, it seemed. Annie tried to smile as sip by sip, she drank the whole butterbeer that her hand couldn't let go of. "Wow, Emiliano was right, this is good.." She commented, as she looked down to their table and put the glass down. "It's almost time..." Annie said, turning her smile into a slight frown as she remembered that for almost a month, she would know barely about Drew.

"I love it...thanks, again..." She smiled to him, then let go of the plaques. Annie would hate if anything happened to them.

Emiliano??? That was her cousin right? It was hard to keep track of these things she had said sooooo long ago! Plus Drew really wasn't the best when it came to remembering names. He just took another sip of the butterbeer and nodded. "Yeah it is good." He said placing the bottle back on the table. To her next words Drew also frown. "I know it is..." He said sadly.

"Well you are welcome. If you look the two tags have my full name on it. I just thought I would let you know that." Drew pointed out to Annie but she might have already seen that. But then again he did not know....

"Well, but we promised to write each other, no matter how far we are. So, it will be..." Annie said, nodding firmly to Drew as she grinned then looking out that window, that directed her sight towards the Hogwarts Express. It was so close, the exit towards home that could be her doom for a whole month. "And you'll tell me all about your Christmas and New Year's Eve...okay?" It was more of a request than a question, but Annie wondered about Drew's life back home.

She took a glance at the two plaques as Drew mentioned they had his full name. "You will be so close to my heart, these three weeks..." She whispered. It was wonderful, though a bit weird. Annie had never said these words before.

'Marie was still being nice? homework?' She thought about what was going on and she couldn't stop herself from answering. "My homework nis going well. I have got most of it all done." Kay said still with the stupid smile on her face. "How are you and Evan doing? Still friends right. I know he like you last year and we haven't had time to talk much." She asked. 'why did she care. She didn't even want to talk to Marie. She had to get out of here. Then she heard Rex whisper in her ear. He could stop this and get her out of here. 'YES' thats what she wanted to get out. But she could get the words to come out. "Rex these are my friends, I have to be here." She said pulling away from him. 'WHAT! NO! That not what I want. GET ME OUT OF HERE!' But the words just wouldn't come. Destiny started talking about how they were all best friends and something about a hug. "Yes we are all best friends. And a big hug would be great Destiny!" Kay said happily. Marie had moved to sit next to Destiny and was looking at her like she had done something wrong. "Marie don't go over there." Kay started to move so that she was sitting right next to Marie again, hoping the whole time Rex would just grab her and drag her out of this place. Instead of friendship and feeling all warm and fuzzy, she was starting to feel upset and fear. She couldn't stop feel out of control. And Kay was starting to also feel mad.

"Rex grabs Kay's hand. "We are going now dear' Rex told Kay. "Wave good bye to our friends" Rex said to Kay. " They were out of there before she could say "Quidditch".

"WAIT!'" Kay said trying to pull away from Rex. 'yes, get me out of here. what is wrong with me?' But the words come out all wrong. "No, we can leave. we have to stay." She said looking at Rex. She wasn't thinking right and she started to feel dizzy. "What wrong with me?" she said softly as she leaned her head down on Rex's shoulder. "Please I have to stay." She said leaning even more on Rex. She turned her head to see Marie. With her head swimming she yelled at Marie. "IT WAS THAT POTION FROM CLASS WASN"T IT!" making her feel ill. "PLease lets leave, I still don't want to but, Please" She still couldn't stop the feeling of wanting to be friends with marie.

Oh Merlin, Kay moved closer to Marie. Why wouldn't this girl go away? Shouldn't that potion be wearing off soon, it seemed like it was lasting way too long. Marie was so done being nice to the girl. "Excuse me Kay, I am trying to talk to Destiny and Evelyn here, do you mind?" Yes, they needed to keep Destiny away from Kay until that stupid potion wore off, there was no way Marie was going to let her make a fool of herself now.

Finally, someone who has come to their senses and was taking Kay away from them. "It's been a pleasure chatting with you" NOT! "Don't let the door hit you on the way out." Merlin, that felt good, being nice to Kay was harder than she thought it would be.

"Do what you have to do" Rex told Kay. " I am leaving because I am hungry" Rex said to Kay. " Well, I guess your boyfriend isn't important to you anymore" Rex looked at Kay and not in a completely happy way. "Do what you have to do and I will do what I have to do" rex explained to Kay.

Oh this was getting better and better as the time went on. Marie watched as Rex got up and told Kay he was leaving with or without her. Bwahaha, could this day get any better?

"Oh Kay, you better go with Rex, we wouldn't want him to think you love us Slytherins more than him now would we?" The thought of Kay loving them more than Rex made her want to hurl. EWWWWW, that would just be GROSS. Yes, Kay needed to leave with Rex NOW.

Why was Marie being all quiet all of the sudden? Maybe they were going to share a BEST FRIEND SUPER SECRET! Yes, that had to be it. Grinning widely, Destiny leaned in closer to hear what the big secret was. Well, that wasn't a secret! 'Maaaaaaybe I did..' Who knew what she drank..it was just sitting there. 'Was it not mine?' She remembered Kay giving it to her, maybe she just imagined that..

And now Marie was sitting closer to her too. Her happiness and friendliness was like a magnet, drawing everyone closer. She LOVED it!



SWEEEEET!

Kay wanted Destiny to hug her. Buuut, everyone was in her way and she couldn't get closer to her. 'Could you like move over so I can hug my BEST FRIEND?' she asked the people that were surrounding her happiness.

Ehhhh, what did she say? Nooo, she didn't want to hug Kay and they were definitely not best friends. 'No, wait don't move.' If she got up, Destiny would so regret it. It was better if she stayed still, yep.



Whyyyyyyy were they leaving?

Not that Destiny cared.

But Kay didn't hug her yet.

Destiny didn't want her to hug her.

Destiny snapped out of the crazy mental fight she was having with herself when Kay yelled at Marie.

Oh yes! Pointing her finger at Kay as she walked out, Destiny let out a good laugh. It was too funny to see Kay all happy and friendly towards them. 'Oh that was good.' Except for the part where Destiny had drank the butterbeer that Kay had given her. It must not have been strong, since Destiny was now back to her normal evil self, and she did not ever want to hug Kay. *shiiiiver*



Picturing the door actually hitting Kay and Rex on the way out, Destiny let out a few more laughs. 'Yeah, that wasn't fun.' And she wasn't talking about the whole Kay being nice, because that was hilarious. 'She tainted my butterbeer and I drank it.'

Kay would pay, she would.
