Enid turned her green-eyed gaze upon the Ravenclaw boy whose table she had invaded as he leaned into sight and greeted her. "Hello," she said simply before he went on to ask her if he could help her. At this, Enid nodded her head. "You could, actually. That butterbeer's looking terribly tempting just sitting there. I think you should let me have it," she said, no shame at all in this request. But that was Enid - no manners, no shame, and unfortunately for her this day - no money. She had wasted it all away at Honeydukes.

James felt his mouth fall open slightly; he was surprised by this girl's shameless manner. Upon her request, the teen gave a few seconds of hesitation before giving her an acquiescent nod. He moved forward, for his arms had previously been crossed, and slid the barely touched beverage across the table to Enid.
"I s'pose I'll go get another one." he said, standing up. "I'm James, by the way."

Enid grinned as the boy agreed to letting her have the butterbeer, and she quickly reached over to take the drink into her hands as he slid it over toward her. She took a long, greedy sip from it and looked up as the Ravenclaw boy got up to his feet and introduced himself as James.

Enid grinned once again, suddenly a lot friendlier now that she got what she wanted - a seat and warm butterbeer. "James - James Bond?" she asked in a lame attempt at a joke. But Enid had never been one to care much for her dorky behaviour. "I'm Enid," she introduced herself. "Fifth year Gryffindor."

James laughed at the joke he had often heard since he was a child; it still had its humor.
"Aha, no, no. Just Carter, James Carter. Nice to meet you, Enid," he held up a hand as he walked back over to the bar, placed five more silver coins on the counter, and returned with another pint of butterbeer in his hand. Plopping back down onto his warm seat, he took a sip.
"I'm a fifth year too," he said after sipping, "But a Ravenclaw, obviously."

Enid watched as James left the table to get another butterbeer from the bar before returning only a couple moments later. She listened as he shared that he was also a fifth year, and - obviously - a Ravenclaw. "That's funny, I don't remember seeing you in any of my classes," said Enid. Though she had no right to talk, she didn't attend her classes as often as she should.

"Anyway, thanks for the butterbeer," she added with a grin, after taking another long sip. "It's ridiculous outside, I thought I was going to freeze and shatter into a million little pieces," she said as she made a face, ever the over-exaggerated one. She then looked around the pub for a moment before turning back to James. "You weren't waiting for someone, were you?"

James nodded in agreement.
"No, I don't recall seeing you around either," he shrugged. But, alas, he too did not attend his classes as frequently as his peers. He had always managed to successfully undergo his previous years. However, with this year having his O.W.Ls, James had made an attempt to work harder than ever before.

"No problem, really," he said sincerely. His gaze traveled to the nearby window as Enid mentioned the drab weather. It was almost impossible to see outside of the window to the pub. The snow was ever more fierce than it had when he had arrived at the pub, and he shuddered at the thought of having to leave later on. His silent reverie was broken as the fifth-year Gryffindor asked him a question.
"Hm?" he said, turning his gaze back to her. "Oh, no, I wasn't." He felt his face glow with the slightest bit of chagrin; it was the weekend afterall, and he should've been with his friends.
"Were you?" he asked.

Enid shook her head slightly in response as James asked her if she was expecting anyone, casually leaning a bit further back on the back legs of her chair. "Not really, no," she said. "I'm kind of hiding from my friends, actually. One of them has this ginormous anaconda and he thinks it's funny to let it slither up to my shoulders and crush me," she said. Of course, the snake wasn't really an anaconda, but it was large and Enid had always loved to exaggerate.

James' eyes widened ever so slightly at the mentioning of the ginormous anaconda. Enid's remark had rekindled his fear of snakes. Frowning slightly, he re-crossed his arms into a slightly more comfortable position.
"Er...you don't suppose he'll come in here with it, d'you?" he asked, trying to play off his fear.

"Oh, he would," Enid replied with a nod of her head before taking another long sip from her butterbeer. She was unusually thirsty and the drink really warmed her up. "He loves the damned thing," she added, scrunching up her nose slightly.

"Why? You a big snakes fan too?" Enid asked, raising a light eyebrow slightly at James.

James was utterly not satisfied with the idea of this friend of Enid's coming in with a giant anaconda.
"No, er, not exactly," he said, taking a deep gulp of Butterbeer. The drink really warmed him up. He had had a bad experience with snakes when he was seven, and since then had been deathly terrified.
But he didn't intend to delve that far into himself, he had just met this girl ten minutes for goodness sake! He shifted in his chair, he was uncomfortable.
"What about you?" he asked. She had said that she was avoiding this friend of hers because of the snake, so maybe Enid didn't fancy snakes either.

"I had a feeling you didn't," Enid said with a bit of a smirk as James shared with her that he wasn't necessarily fond of snakes. But as he then asked her if she liked snakes, the young girl shook her head in response. "What do I look like, a Slytherin?" she said with a soft chuckle. "I hate those things. They're like giant worms," she said, making a face.

"Well of course we all should sing Happy Birthday to Nicoletta" Rex told Kay .
First you need to blow out the candles so we can all sing at the same time" Rex said to Nicoletta.
" You welcome" Rex told Nicoletta. "Well, next year, Kay and I will throw you a big party" Rex explained to Nicoletta. " I am throwing Kay a birthday bash at her cousin Jason's castle" Rex said to Nicoletta. " You and Jenny are invited to the party" Rex smiled at them.

Jenny wasn't all anti-Slytherin. She did have a disagreement for some but Nicoletta was fine. "Yeah, Hufflepuff." She said politely. She knew Nicoletta was Slytherin, "Most of my family were Slytherins." Oh wait wasn't Nicoletta's birthday..like, soon or passed by? "Nicoletta, is your dormitory cold?" She asked. A Slytherin blanket would be nice for her. "And second question: Are you proud to be a Slytherin? Just wondering." Ooh, she sounded suspicious. So suspicious.

" I hope you come to Kay's birthday party" Rex told Jenny. " I get along with one or two Slytherins" Rex said to Jenny.

"Oh, yes Please come it will be fun. You can bring Jenny and have fun." Kay said smiling at her Love. He was alway so nice to people. "Rex you really don't have to go all out. I'm Fine with just be home with you." She smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek.


Kay know just how Jenny felt. "Jenny I understand how you feel. But not everyone in Slytherin is bad. I thought I had a very good friend in that house. I was wrong, I have found new friends from that house thou. You two will be good friends if you want to be." She said smiling at the other Hufflepuff.


Smiling at her boyfriend, Kay was happy that Rex was trying to be friends with some of the Slytherins. "Things with some of the Slytherin are good, but there are a few we have to watch." Kay said thinking of Marie and the Elizabeth girl that she was watching. She still hadn't told Rex about her talk in the kitchen yet. She didn't want to in front of the girls.

"Oh, erm, thanks." she didn't want to mention she'd be in France next year. "I'd love to come to Kay's party!" Nicoletta turned to Jenny. "No not really. Most people think Slytherins are stuck up and mean but most of us aren't. There's a few of them though...." she trailed off thinking of Marie and Elizabeth. "I like you though, all of you. To me it doesn't matter what house you're in." at Rex's remark about the candles, Nicoletta blew them out.

"Okay..." Annie answered, giving up on the slight chance Drew would BE not TRY to be nice to his step dad. He was a bit right, it was slightly fun to tease some people. And to his second answer, she stood quiet. There was still too much to be said, yet not for now. They were young...

Okay, Annie was walking at a faster pace, but it was normal for her. That's how she walked when she was inside the school, when rushing to every class. "We're here...and I'm sorry to pull you, but the cold out there is...horrible." She told him, opening the door as she walked inside the pub, hand by hand with Drew.

Ahhhh the warm felt really really good right now! Drew smiled slightly as Annie said she was sorry for pulling him along. "It's okay, the cold is horrible." He said in a soft voice to her. "Soooo where do you want to sit???" He asked looking at her his hand still in hers. He wasn't letting go until he reallllly had to!

Annie smiled to Drew as he forgave her for pulling him along. She looked around, trying to find the perfect spot for them to seat. Maybe a booth, maybe a two chaired table...and there it was, the last mentioned was found at the overseen corner of the pub, "...there..." She let out a sigh, as she walked towards it then sat on the chair, right in front of Drew.

"Like this...?" It was a question, what if he didn't like the place?

Drew followed Annie to the place she had picked to sit. Hmmmm. "Yeah I like it." He said sitting down next to her. "It's perfect." He smiled. Well actually Drew didn't much care about the place as long as he was with Annie he was as happy as could be.

The teen laughed once more at the girl's sarcasm. He nodded.
"Yeah," he said after taking a rather large gulp of butterbeer, "they kinda do. Except for, y'know, the fangs. And the venom. And the hissing. But other than that, definitely worms." He emitted another chuckle. He supposed it was due to the drink, but James was getting rather warm in the cozy pub. He set down his drink and unfastened his navy blue winter cloak, lying it back against the chair.
"Excited for our O.W.Ls, then?" he asked, trying to continue the conversation.

Perfect.

Annie smiled at Drew's words, then she took the small piece of paper where the pub's specialties were announced. "I came here to drink a butterbeer, so...what would you like to order?" She asked him, in case he wanted to drink or eat something else.

"We are going to have a big party for you becauses you deserve it" Rex explained to Kay. " You are great with people, too" Rex told Kay. "Slytherins are good and bad" Rex said to Kay and Jenny. " nicoletta is the good one"" Rex told all of the girls.

" Happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Nicoletta, Happy Birthday to you" Rex sang to Nicoletta. "What Slytherins are bad to you and Kay?" Rex asked Nicoletta. " Rex knew Kay would never tell him.

Kay smiled about the party and laughed when Rex started singing happy birthday. "That was very nice of you." She said happily. she started to take a drink from her butterbeer when she heard him ask Nicoletta about the Slytherins and choked on it. Coughing and trying to get a breath, she turned to Look at Nicoletta. Would she tell Rex that Kay was staking Elizabeth? "Rex you shouldn't ask question like that of someone you just met." Hoping that he would drop it until they were alone. But knowing Rex the way she did that would not happen.

" Ok. I will not ask that question of Nicoletta again" Rex assured Kay. "So my singing is that bad?" Rex asked Kay laughing. "Well here is what I do best " Rex said to Kay. Rex dances the Waltz with Kay around the tables. Rex drank his butterbeer. " You can tell me about it later" Rex explained to Kay.
