Gabriella knew these signs---they were the signs of a child who'd either A, eaten too many sweets (probably on the Hogwarts Express) or B, eaten something that hadn't necessarily agreed with their stomach.
Digging through her bag, Gabriella retrieved yet another dosage of the potion she'd just given the last sick child. She was beginning to think that she'd need to start carrying around a dosage of everything she had on supply to prepare for anything and everything that could (and probably would) happen.
"Here, here, child. Drink this potion, and I guarantee you that you'll be back to normal in no time," she said, tilting the girl's head back just a bit and allowing the potion to make it's way down. "Don't do too much walking about, as you either need to be sitting down or lying down. As soon as you're able, you need to go to your Common Room for some much-needed rest." "o-o-k" said Violet and reached to take the potion but collapsed on the floor she passed out

A Phoenix flew into the great hall and dropped a letter in front a girl at the Slytherin table before flying to the staff table. It then landed on the back of the head masters chair.
Lucia holding the letter quickly walked up to the staff table and the head master. I am very sorry about this," she told the head master. "Come Yew," she said as she held out her arm. Yew just sat and looked at her. All alright I was going to ask tomorrow but while you are here I well ask now," she said to the bird.
Sorry head master to bother you while you are eating. I was planning on talking to you tomorrow, but something came up or should I say flew in that changed that," she gave a glance as the phoenix before continuing.
I wanted to ask if I could send for my phoenix. I did not bring him because I was not sure if I could bring him.

Severia and Avada hoisted Violet back into a standing position. Severia did as polite of a curtsey she could do while holding Violet up. "Thank you Professors. Healer Ashford." She said with a nod towards the nurse. "Hopefully, I won't be bringing any other sick friends to you this evening." The two of them turned and headed back to their house table, with Violet sort of half-floating, half-dragging in the middle.

Aw, yay, another teacher supporting whoever was playing against eachother. "Oh, yes, cross our fingers." Really, she did not want to see her teammates get all hurt and stuff. "I'm glad you'll be there, if anything did happen..." KNOCK ON WOOD! Yes, she actually did that. Right next to Miss Healer's plate.

Now...where were we?" she asked, not really expecting an answer to that question. "Ahh, yes, quidditch. I was the keeper, and it's because of that position that I'm here today. I was injured during a quidditch match and was sent to the Healer. It was during that visit when I decided that being a healer just might be the profession for me." Merlin, did Gabriella remember the incident she was describing. She'd received a bludger to the face and been knocked out cold for at least the rest of that day.
Gabriella smiled playfully and crossed her fingers. "Yes, yes, let's hope for a small---very small---number of injuries," she remarked. With the game of quidditch, though, one could never be too hopeful that injuries would be few and far between---nasty little sport, that quidditch.

Oh yes, Quidditch!
Omygosh, another Keeper! Miranda was feeling rather lame now for having whined so much about that time she Keepededz. "Wow, that must've put things in perspective." Talk about...yknow...yeah! "How cool." Pshhh, this woman had been through some impressive stuff! "I'm really glad to have met another woman-" Not that Miranda considered herself a WOMAN like... y'know- Oh stop babbling with yourself, she's waitiiing! "...who knows the awesomeness of playing the game." Hm, maybe she could share some tips? "Well, I won't take up more of your time, miss. Hope you continue to have a good evening." Miranda nodded once, still smiling politely, and started to make her way over to the other new professors. One looked shifty...and the other like... not a professor at all. That other new one seemed nice.

Max was smart. SMART. He was there and kept a low profile at the table. Well, he focused on his food and not the students, but his magnificent Ravenclaw brain was at work the entire time. The new staff was, well, ODD. And that new Transfiguration dude was creepy as Kazi. Oh, and one of the new attractive females must have said something 'cause Bunbunz was mad (the pitch of her voice and the way she moved her eyes was a dead give-away).
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Alessia standing up. So that's where she planted herself. She's supposed to sit next to ME. DUH. Heads of House flank the Headmaster. "And I need to make sure no one is hiding behind the statues when they should be in their common rooms," he said and stood up. And I need to find Peeves. "Good evening, Headmaster Tate."
With a respectful nod at the new headmaster, Vindictus strode confidently out of the Great Hall.
