Default The Hog's Head

Formerly closed to students, the Hog's Head is now open for butterbeer. Watch out for goat droppings and check your glass for spiders before drinking.

Madame Puddifoot's was looking better and better.

Well, since Evelyn had put it that way, Destiny had to agree. 'They are weird.' Darn the Three Broomsticks for being crowded! Why couldn't they have all been in here instead? Maybe it was a good thing they weren't. The shopkeep would be even more scary, plus there was a Professor and Prefects in here. 'I'll have to get her when she is alone.' With Rex recruiting people, she might never be alone. *sigh*

'No, I'll stay..I guess.' Maybe something interesting will happen..like something. 'I can't go there alone!' Well, she could but she might look weird.

Good. Destiny agreed with both that muggles were crazy and weird and she was going to stay. That was better.

Listening to Josh speak, an amused expression appeared on her face as he talked on and on about something slightly...weird. Common characteristics because of entering this place? Really? Giggling a little, Evelyn smiled and gestured to the seat next to her, unable to stop laughing. "You really are part Ravenclaw aren't you. Analyzing people to see if they have common characteristics. Interesting, if I admit, but a little boring wouldn't you say? Plus useless. There is barely anyone in here as it is, much less enough to give you a real insight for a proper conclusion, but the only thing I could tell you is people probably come here to get some peace and quiet. Unlike the Three Broomsticks, you could hear a needle pin drop in here." AND there were no Gryffindorks or Huffies (aka Rex and Kay) in here. By the way, Josh definitely was not a Gryffindork...

"The class was interesting. I don't think he will be aloud to teach unforgivables anymore though." she said, almost sounding sad at the fact. She hadn't been able to achieve the last spell in the class, and didn't really care if he let them practice them or not, but she wanted to learn about them. Even if it was only in theory. "The teachers probably didn't take it well, but it would still be neat to learn about them even if we don't perform them or anything..."

What in the world were Josh and Evelyn talking about? Analyzing people? How boring. Where does Josh come up with this stuff? She would have asked him, but that would mean he would go into another long speech. Just smiling and nodding, Destiny acted like she knew what they were saying.

'The class was horrible, not interesting. The Professor is scary, he gave us assigned seats and he tortured the spiders.' Animal cruelty right there. 'Why did you miss that class anyway?' Hopefully he wasn't going to analyze that question.

Samuel snorted at the girl, little did she know that he was overcharging all the kids for their butterbeer. So he didn't have to be nice to nobody, he was actually raking it in right now. He'd feel DUMB if he knew that, right?

Jack couldn't pluck up the courage to tell him that, though. The guy was like THISCLOSE to throwing them out and...yeah. He could not afford a scene like that. Especially in front of a PROFESSOR. That was double embarrassing!

Blushing, he ignored the man and turned back to Reese. "Oh yeah, NEWTS. I forgot about those," he said with a sigh. He should REALLY start studying for those too...he was going to need to try extra hard, especially since he had Head Boy duties and all that stuff now. "Of course! We'll have to study a LOT, especially since last term we really didn't learn ANYTHING, did we?" he said with a sigh.

The memory of doing laps in Borr's office was still fresh in his mind.
Reese took her butterbeer of the counter and wiped the top of it with the bottom of her shirt - just in case it had dust or something on it - before taking a sip. LUV? Was the really what he just called her?

"It's Reese," she corrected him. "And, you would need hand sanitizer because your hands look really dirty. You wouldn't want to make the kids sick with your dirty hand would you? You know germs spread through contact. So, when you touch the butterbeer bottles and then hand them to students, your spreading germs." She nodded her head, then she placing her butterbeer on the table before she opened her purse and brought out a little bottle of hand sanitizer that handed towards the man. "You can keep it too," she added with a grin. It wasn't like that was her only bottle.

"Why would I want to go find some seats when I enjoy talking to you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "Plus, that doesn't even make sense! I'm standing here with Jack and, yet, people are still coming up and buying drinks. Sooooo, technically if I leave, you won't make a bigger profit." Facts were facts.

Upon hearing Jack say her name in a hissy kind of way, she turned her attention to him. "Whaaaat? I was just asking him if he wanted hand sanitizer," she responded. She might have also given him some without getting a appropriate response, but oh well. It wasn't like it was a crime, right? She just wanted the barkeeper to have good hygiene. There was NOTHING wrong with that.

Forgot about NEWTs? That amazed her. "I wish I could forget about NEWTs," she mumbled. It was just make her life easier if she didn't have to worry about them. She giggled a little bit, then added, "I would suggest adding 20 more of the words 'a lot' to that statement. You do know your girlfriend told Torin that Earth moves slowly, right?" That was just SOOOO embarrassing right there. "I think we might have to go all the way back to 1st Year Astronomy and study that," she stated before picking up her butterbeer and taking another drink.

"Where did Borr go?" She suddenly asked. He was there for one lesson, then he was gone.

As they approached the counter, Dylan could see him more clearly. He wasn't that scary. Manly. Yes. Scary not so much. He was kinda rugged, like the bar they stood in.
Samuel chuckled as he poured the firewhiskey into the glass and slid it over to Axe. "You're lucky that I'm relieved to finally see someone over the age of fifteen in my pub that I won't take offense to that." He lent forward placing his elbows onto the counter, "Haven't seen you in here for a while. You've missed quite a few card games."

It was then that Samuel noticed the kid standing beside Axe and he straightened up, giving the kid the once over before looking back at Axe, "Protege?" he asked nodding his head towards Dylan.

"Yes." The red answered after taking another sip of the butterbeer and it was as she spoke she realised that the bartender had just performed magic! "So you aren't a squib after all!"

He was just ... a dust lover.

Ew.

SIP.
Him!

A squib?

He ought to throw her out on her behind for even thinking that Samuel Huxley was a squib! "No princess. I am NOT a squib." He gazed at her for a moment and then sat back down onto the stool. Not sure why he was even bothering but this girl kinda fascinated him.

"Okay, can I ask you a question?"

Folding his arms across his chest, Samuel stared at the boy who looked as though he was just busting a gut to say something. This would be interesting.

He snorted again when the boy turned away and started talking to his girlfriend again. Samuel was just about to stock some shelves when the girl spoke up yet again.

Well it was obvious who wore the pants in this relationship.

Rolling his eyes once again, Samuel glared at the uppity little pain in his neck. "Why would I care if I spread germs...luv?" He took the bottle of sanitizer, glanced at it for a second and then tossed it over his shoulder and into the bin.

With narrowed eyes, Samuel lent forward placing his hands onto the edge of the bar. "My pub. My rules. I didn't ask you to come in here and yet here you are. And you've done nothing but complain since you got here. This is my place and I like it just the way it is."

When were these kids going to get that?

''Well...i might be'' Josh replied thoughtfully. There had been debates about the right house he belonged among the adults he knew at the summer holiday and also there was someone who thought he was no good for Gryffindor which deeply annoyed him. Listening to her comments on his reasons of being here, Josh smiled with gratefulness that she understood and did not label him as a freak. On the other hand there were parts that he did not agree with his Rose in her speech but no he was not going to mention them because he did not want to increase the number of people who doubted his right house. ''You'r right''

Now after the remarks on DADA class, he had to agree with Destiny this time ''He had better not teach unforgiveables. It just is not right. They are UN-forgiveables anyway and we are not of age. What if there are some idiots that cannot understand the meaning of prefix 'un-' and try to cast them around? And i bet there are idiots of such kind'' not to mention who or where they were because they always gave away themselves.

Once he was silent again he realised he could not hold his disagreement with Rose inside anymore. Okay, they were Rose and Destiny, he doubted they would think of him negatively. ''By the way hun, i don't think people do come here for peace and quiet. Just look around'' sitting down right next to her in a sudden, he indicated the people, everyone in the bar. ''Not much girls because, i suppose, it is not clean here and girls are more easily disgusted while boys can ignore some dust. Then the avarage age is, surely, mostly older than us which means this is normally is not a common place for students to drop in, giving us the result that there are things unappropriate for young people in here. Also it is located a little bit far from the other buildings in the village, among which people can find peace and quiet. If they bothered to walk that way to step into some dirty and creepy place, they must have a good reason to do so like to show off to others that they do not mind creepy places or to have some private conversation with the least possiblities of being interrupted'' he grinned, he did again right but he could not help it. Ah there was a little Ravenclaw too. What was his name? Tibi? ''This Ravenclaw boy then, i deduct, has some outer reason to come here. Maybe he was invited by someone else. I have no idea.''

Silence again he glanced at the two girls then only at Destiny when she asked the reason for him to miss the DADA class ''I have been busy'' he replied dryly for the memory of it was slightly annoying ''Detention''

"Okay, can I ask you a question?"

GIGGLE.

"Which is good." Madiison noted, taking another sip from her glass in the process. MMHMM. But was it good? Because that meant he liked things dusty. And that was just wrong.

Her grandmother would disapprove.

And what was that? A question?

"You may." The red took another swing of her butterbeer before turning her big blue-gray orbs on him once again -OH LOOK! he was sitting on the stool again!- and flashing another SMALL smile in his direction.

Tug tug tug.

Stuck.
Noticing the young Ravenclaw standing at the bar, Marcus chuckled and reached out with his hand. "How's it going Tibi? Do you need a hand with that?"

There was a certain art form in opening a bottle of butterbeer. It was all in the wrist.

It certainly didn't get better with age.

Marcus cleared his throat and avoided making eye contact with Samuel, "I've been kinda busy over the last few months, haven't really had the time." Yep that was a good excuse, don't want to tell the man that his wife didn't like him playing cards with unsavory people.

No.

Definitely wouldn't be manly telling him that.

Extracting the cork from his mouth, Tibi nodded as he handed it over. That was tricky.

"I'm alright, professor. And thanks. How are you?"

She was right? Really? She actually only took one glance around the place and just said something random...but whatever. It did seem like people would come here for quiet, and maybe to just get drunk or something, but still. Well, she would come here for peace and quiet...

Her throat slightly closed up though when he started talking about the unforgiveables. Something she was very fascinated in, though scared at the same time to learn about. She herself wouldn't cast them on anybody, but she did want to learn...and the Professor was teaching them. She had no argument for that. Clearing her throat, trying to be able to swallow again, she smiled and nodded again, acting as if she was agreeing with Josh.

And there he goes. She just KNEW that he was holding something in. That she hadn't really been right about her assumptions with why people came here. It was the first thing off the top of her head though! Laughing, she looked around, now spotting Tibi near Lawsguini. So that was two people on the list that were here? Ugh. "I know Josh. I know that people don't only come here for some peace and quiet, and you're right. Students really aren't the only ones that come here and I don't doubt that ninety percent of the time adults come here, that they'll be up to no good." Although, this place would do nicely if she needed to talk to either Josh or Destiny about something important.

Eh, he was talking about Tibi? Little Ravenclaw freak who hangs around Mr. Stutters. "And maybe...he should leave as quickly as possible." she mumbled to herself, starting to draw little designs on her leg while glaring staring at the Ravenclaw. "Wait, detention? Why did you- oh yea. That was a nice kick in Muggle Studies by the way." Hit it's target Perfectly!

Now her eyebrows shot up. Music! "What kind of music do you have in there?" She asked, going all grabby hands on it, trying to see if he maybe had some Beatles songs. But, ofcourse, he had already said it didn't work... buuuuut... "Really? Oh, I'd love to hear some!" Because, really, Hogwarts students RARELY heard muggle music.

Oops. Her cheeks flushed a little at the burp, but Oliver seemed allright with it. Which was good. Heh.
But just as Miranda was going to take another sip, she saw a really weird movement coming from Oliver...like a TWITCH. Naaah, he didn't. Right? Why would he do that? Meh, it was probably nothing. Though her nickname for him would probably fit very well if he had. Hehe. She took a sip and smiled back at the boy. Hmmm.

She cocked an eyebrow at him as he refused the nurse...thing. She was about to ask him why and tell him he was stooopid, but the fear for hospitals made her keep quiet. People didn't just hate hospitals for no reason...something must've happened for him to dislike them so much. "Hah... If you were on my team, I'd dragged you there myself. You better not get a permanent injury, or you bet your butt there will be no more Quidditch for you." Oh oh oh, her Captain self came out there. This was no longer Miranda, but Captain Miranda, and she was not as nice. Hehe.

Obviously still a sore subject??? Like really. Had he forgotten why they had not spoken to eachother? She didn't say anything but leaned back in her chair and took the bottle between her hands. Miranda kept her eyes on the dusty bottle as he talked about that horrible class, but looked up just as that stupid grin appeared. Yeah, Miranda hadn't managed to do anything...but according to Oliver, if she'd been as angry as she was in the lake, she might have.
"He might... If he could make students practice Crucio, there's probably nothing he couldn't make us do..." And he would walk out? Miranda might not have, she wanted to be an Auror. Maybe...maybe it would be good for her to try it out?

"Yes, butt a-whoopin'." Where was the butterflies butt? Eh? "No not butt...but like...you know...it's called a butterfly...so kick it's butt- kick the butt out of the butterfly!" It made sense! Right!?
Olivers remark made her grimace. "Well, then I'll just run and hide behind you." She smiled REALLY big. He was a giant, he could hold a bat. It was simple maths...thingy. Oh no. "You better not. You create an army and I'll kick the butt out of you." Cheyeah!

Hehehe. It was nice to hear the boy laugh. Laughter was...nice. Yes. Specially when it wasn't his little 'evil' laugh. Heh. "Hope we get to conjure up more fun stuff. Like...Quidditch equipment!" Omygosh, she just had a vision!
Ah.. so Miranda and her family were like hermits. Or one of these magical families that live in the muggle world but pay no heed to what muggles got up to perhaps? “Well.. it's all muggle music. Kind of eclectic – everything from The Beatles to The Chemical Brothers.” Sure... and that would mean so much to the girl who didn't even know what an Ipod was. He smiled when she became excited at the prospect of actually listening to it. “Sure. Free period tomorrow?” And no running and diving into the lake this time. Oliver was going to be on his bestest behaviour again. Or, at least, try to be.

Man.. Too. Much. Sugar. He was going to twitch again, he could just feel it. He moved his hands to cling to the edge of the table, his knuckles turning white as he tried to control the urge... which he did, except his eye twitched slightly. Miranda better not be long finishing that drink otherwise he was going to bolt out of here just to burn off some of his twitchy excess energy. He swallowed and nodded a bit at Miranda as she smiled at him and he smiled back.

His eyebrows raised at her comment about dragging him to the hospital and he got a disturbing mental image of her dragging him by the hair while he kicked and screamed and protested. Gulp. “Like to see you try.” He replied. “I'm not stupid. If it was something serious I assure you I would go.” Maybe. But a world without Quidditch was... unthinkable. Miranda had a fair point indeed.

Miranda was strangely silent as Oliver talked of the Dark Arts class. He continued to smile but really, what was she thinking? What did she think about him managing to get a twinge out of his spider? He didn't want to know really but her silence was disconcerting. Course he continued to smile and Oliver being Oliver indeed asked, “What are you thinking?” D'oh! Why did his brain do that!? Say what he was thinking ALL the time? Sometimes it would be best to just let things slide once in a while. Would he walk out of class? Probably not.. but it sounded good given what had happened last lesson.

Butt, butt, butt... what? Blink. “That makes no sense whatsoever.” He replied. “Butt kicking a butterfly implies you're going to kick it's butt. But what butt? Do butterflies even have a butt?” Blink. This was confusing but also rather funny and he chuckled warmly. “Again... I would like to see you try.” He teased. He had no doubt this little whirlwind of a badger had some good moves in a fight.. and she was a Quidditch player – that gave for good upper body strength. “My butterflies would defend their God and creator with their lives.” He said puffing his chest out. Baha!

“Quidditch equipment. That would be a lot of fun.” He said with another chuckle. “I could do with a better broom actually... and some gloves.” Cos his dad had neglected to get him any new ones. Wonder if there was a shop around here that sold them.. hmm.. “There any Quidditch suppliers in Hogsmeade?” He asked the badger.

Still lost on whatever Josh and Evelyn were talking about, Destiny took the time to actually look around this place. Eww. Maybe she should have paid more attention to what they were saying. Would the shopkeep get upset if Destiny started to clean this place up? Probably. He looked like the type of person that would name his cobwebs. Who would name cobwebs?

She couldn't help but laugh when Josh mentioned he had detention. Not because he was in detention, but the reason why he was in there. 'That actually was hilarious.' This was totally a high-fiving moment, but Destiny resisted. Too bad she didn't think of breaking someone's nose.. There is always next class though.

Seeing as Destiny and Evelyn couldn't really talk about there plans anymore, since the person was in here with them, she stood up and brushed off her clothes. 'I think I'm gonna go back to the castle.' Evelyn and Josh could have private time, which was GROSS! 'I have to owl my brother.'

And what was that? A question?

"You may." The red took another swing of her butterbeer before turning her big blue-gray orbs on him once again -OH LOOK! he was sitting on the stool again!- and flashing another SMALL smile in his direction.

If Samuel was the type of person to like kids, he would probably be rather fond of this one. But he didn't like kids and he was only talking to her merely out of curiosity and...boredom.

"Why are you here Princess?" he asked, waving his hands around gesturing towards the rest of the pub. "You look like the sort of girl who has been brought up in a nice home with a good a good family. Why are you in a place like this and on your own?"

Not that he cared because he really didn't. Samuel was use to a certain type of clientele in the Hogs Head and this girl certainly didn't fit that type, he wanted to know what had brought her in here.

Madiison poured some more butterbeer into her glass. Urgh. She could feel the few dust particles which had successfully invaded her system cling onto her throat. They refused to let go. Quickly, the red gulped the whole glass of butterbeer down her throat.

And they were still there.

She could FEEL them. Clinging onto her food pipe.

"Because it seemed like an adventure!" Madiison exclaimed, momentarily distracted from the dust in her food pipe. "I passed the Hogs Head and then I just wanted to come in and see it." And so, there she was.

It was certainly nice to know. Samuel decided to put that away for future reference. It didn't mean that he was going to any nicer to the kids though.

Maybe just this one.

He pulled out another bottle of butterbeer and placed it onto the counter but kept his hand on it. "You look as though you need another drink Princess."

No.

Definitely wouldn't be manly telling him that.
Samuel Huxley. He'd have to remember that one. "You play poker?" Dylan asked. He'd played the odd game. He'd gotten quite good at it as well. He didn't play for money, just pride, and the odd forfeit.

"Nice to meet you Mr Huxley." He offered his hand to the barkeep. A manly handshake in greeting. Yep.

Aaaand, Destiny was leaving? She was leaving her in this disgusting and dirty place with Lawguini and Tibi practically in her space...Aw well, who cares. Josh would be here with her so it was totally worth it. Unless he left to. Than she'd be annoyed AND sad. But the reason Destiny gave as to why she was leaving made her smirk. Going to owl her brother? Hearing that definitely made her feel much much much more better. It would be even better too if she and Josh weren't in this place but somewhere else more...clean. She'd definitely have to make a note of learning some cleaning charms the next time she came here. That is...if she ever came back.

"Alright then. Tell him I say hi." Evelyn said, trying her hardest not to lean back in the seat but to stay neatly on the jacket she laid on it. Hmm, she didn't know Destiny's brother's names either. Did she ever say? Or was Evelyn forgetting things again..

Maybe just this one.

He pulled out another bottle of butterbeer and placed it onto the counter but kept his hand on it. "You look as though you need another drink Princess."
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell," Madiison started, sweeping the pub another glance as she thought about what she had expected the Hogs Head to be. Giant cobwebs, worn out wooden chairs, spiders crawling around the place. And dust. Lots of dust. A haunted pub with one creepy bartender. Or, at least that was what her mother had told her it was like to keep her away.

Only, it had had the opposite affect.

"It is a LOT better than I expected." She finished. It was sort of like that, only her head had exaggerated it a thousand times.

And she couldn't see any cobwebs.

Dust, on the other hand ...

... actually, it wasn't that dusty either. Hmm.

"It is different from the places I have been to." Dustier. Dirtier. Gloomier. Oh, no. Not gloomier. She had been to a funeral before. Even cried a little -meaning, a LOT- in it. "Besides, if I got into trouble, I know more than a few handy spells." The thirteen year old claimed, looking a little smug.

She was a Ravenclaw.

Another drink? Di eyed the full bottle of butterbeer before her skeptically. "I think I do too." The red said, her big, blue-gray eyes turning to look at the bartender. She liked him, Madiison did.

He was weird. Weird was different.

She decided she was even almost ready to forgive him for the spit thing earlier. Almost.

Wonder if there was a shop around here that sold them.. hmm.. “There any Quidditch suppliers in Hogsmeade?” He asked the badger.

She kept her gaze on the little techy thing, almost as if she had x-ray vision and wanted to see through it and all the songs he had. But her head jerked up as he mentioned a couple of said songs... The Beatles... Had she said that out loud before, or did he actually have some good taste in music? Hehe. "You...listen to the Beatles?" She asked, kind of surprised. But then a warm smile spread her lips. Oh, she did not want to miss listening to some! "Oh, yes, I'd love to!" She nodded happy. Quite forgetting what had happened around that area...

Miranda wasn't going to keep her eyes from the music player, but she could sense Oliver was getting a bit restless... or something. Maybe he wanted to leave? It was getting a bit chilly in here. But before she could ask, the Quidditch injuries discussion totally kept her attention. Her eyebrow cocked at him as he somewhat...challenged her. "Oh...don't be scared if I do." Smirk. A snort escaped her as he proclaimed he wasn't stupid... Not becuase she thought he was but because Oliver seemed like one stubborn boy and would probably take his time before getting it checked up.

Her mind wandered back to he DADA class and wondered why Duskurk had thought of teaching the students that particular spell. Maybe he was just crazy. But...shockingly, deep down, Miranda had wanted to succeed. Being an Auror meant knowing these things, right? Though, did that mean actually being able to perform an unforgivable curse? Ugh... She glanced at Oliver, thankful he didn't read minds. His question made her blink and shake her head to clear it. "Oh...stuff." She shrugged and smiled akwardly. Was she a bad person for wanting to succeed with a curse? "Quidditch..." Eh. "Uh...What about you?" Really, it was good manners to ask.

A confused expression showed how lost she had been by the butt conversation. But..."Ofcourse it does!" She grinned. Everything Miranda said made sense.... hehehe, probably not. She listened to Oliver and laughed at the conclusions he made. "I think they have butts...it's the end of the... thing." She gestured behind her, like her invisible butterfly body or something. Hehe. 'Like to see you try'... She only smirked at him and took another sip of her butterbeer. Which didn't seem to get any less. "Have you ever been in a fight?" Her head tilted to the side as she asked this. If Durmstrang was as scary as Oliver made it to seem (and all the things Miranda had heard...), there was a probability that the boy had been in some heated discussions. Snort. Who else had he annoyed? Hehe.

A disturbing image of Oliver, surrounded by insectosaurus', popped into her head. She grimaced a little and stared at him. Eeeeeeep, scary!

Quidditch, Quidditch, Quidditch... She'd definitely conjure up some new gloves. Cus really, they got worn way too fast. "You have your own broom?" She asked curiously. There was...no store that sold stuff for the awesome game... unless one had indeed opened this year. "Uh... No, I don't think so..." Pout. "But, we could check it out... Want to get going, explore the village?" She still wanted her CHOCOLATE. And besides, Oliver looked all...twitchy and ready to go. Hehe.

Want to get going, explore the village?" She still wanted her CHOCOLATE. And besides, Oliver looked all...twitchy and ready to go. Hehe.

He looked at Miranda and smiled a warm genuine smile and nodded. “Yep. I have all their albums on this baby.” He said giving the Ipod a wee tap with his finger. Music. One of Oliver's most favourite topics of conversation. “You're a fan, are you? What's your favourite track?” He nodded. Of course she could have a listen. He may even lend the music player to her for a while if she promised not to go nuts and smash it up after an Oliver induced rage. Heh.

“Oh I'll be terrified” He smirked and mock bit his nails in an anxious sort of way. “For a small lass, you are pretty scary when you lose your temper.” He grinned. Which... was actually quite a lot of the time in present company. He shook his head and laughed a little. “Look at you looking out for the opposition. You really are a badger deep down aren't you?” Deep down? Miranda was virtually ALL badger.. aside from the tiny bit of Slytherin that rose it's ugly head once in a while.

Stuff? Well that was great wasn't it? The the cover up of Quidditch was a blatant lie. Oliver was good at spotting lies being so good at telling them himself. But.. it was probably just as well. He didn't really want to know what she thought. What was he thinking about? Why did she have to turn the question around? “Er.. the same.” He replied. Great. For such a good liar that was pretty lame. “I was wondering how hard it would be to get a branch off the Whomping Willow.” He added. Better. “A thick bit of wood from that bad boy would make a fine Beater's bat.” hehe! Well.. it would!

“The end of the thing.” He repeated flatly with a smirk. “Ah well that clears that up perfectly. Thanks.” He said sarcastically and sat back in his seat. “But they don't eat, right? So what would they need a butt for?” heh.

He nodded. “Yep.” He had his own broom. “It's not the fastest. Just an old Firebolt but it serves it purpose for a beater where you need more control than speed.” Ah.. but Oliver loved that old broom and was saving to have it customised. “You have your own?” Surely as a Quidditch Captain she had her own broom.

He made a face. No Quidditch store. That sucked. Maybe QQS on Diagon Alley did deliveries... Check out Hogsmeade? He nodded, a little relieved at the thought of getting out from the confines of the Hogs Head. “Yeah.” He pulled on his hoodie rather hastily at the prospect of freedom. “I still owe you that chocolate after all.”

Josh stared at Evelyn with a huge smirk on his face as she spoke, commenting on his assumptions about the people inside the dusty bar. Heh hee... he was happy that she did not ignore all his words and even considered them as consistent which he could deduct from her words. Laughing at her remark that the Ravenclaw had better leave the place, he gently patted on her shoulder ''Take it easy, hun. He looked totally harmless to me.'' He was a Ravenclaw after all so must have been another bookworm and Ravenclaw bookworms could not be regarded as people who had the potential to be annoying enough to deserve being attacked.

He looked around the bar then at the Ravenclaw, and at Mr. Morgan to whom the Ravie was talking to and it was of a strange coincidence that Rose and Destiny commented on his detention at the very moment he fixed his eyes on the Muggle Studies professor. However, grinning again he turned back to the girls ''Geez thanks. It proved that i have not lost all my football skills, yet. And never thought they could be of any use in Hogwarts. One should never say never though, that's what i have learned from that class'' he laughed at his own joke and only stopped when Destiny spoke again mentioning something about going back to the castle. ''Ooo so quickly?''

He had ALL their albums!? Gape. How the hell did he fit all the albums in there!? She wanted to take it and shake the thing, to see if something rattled inside. Or...made noises, hehe. "Oh, that's so cool!"
She smiled big. "My dad always plays their songs..." At this her smile turned into a gentler one. Favorite song...gosh, that was hard. "Um, I gotta go with... Blackbird? Or maybe... Help! Eh, I don't know...it's hard to choose... How about you??" Probably something rock...y-er. Eh.

Miranda chuckled and shook her head at Oliver's little mock fright. She sort of wished it would come back and bite him in the butt. Hehe! Small lass? Meh! He was the giant...eh, yeah fine. She just looked at him, one eyebrow slightly raised. "Well...being small has taught me to be tougher..." Kind of. Giant people often overlooked you...
His next comment was actually heartwarming... These couple of days had somewhat made her doubt her Hufflepuffness, but apparently, she still was? Her cheeks flushed a little and she shrugged, taking a more bigger sip.

Drat. Miranda was a really bad liar... well, it made sense since she wasn't fond of lies at all. But, she knew having to say some wee little untruths once in a while was necessary. Her worrying that he might be sensing something weird made her thumb nail get all destroyed between her teeth.
But as Oliver responded, her hand dropped and she stared at him. "Really?" The Whomping Willow...ah-gain? "Are you seriously thinking of mutilating a living tree for a bat?" Pffft. She narrowed her eyes... Unless he wasn't actually thinking about that?

Well, if he did decide to go after it, Miranda wouldn't stop him. She' - quote ''turn the other way'' - like he had said? Oh, who was she kidding...

But more soft laughing came out as they debated over an insects butt. Ha! "They do eat!" Miranda put on a face that sort of said 'right?'. "Or, you know...the larvae do." Er, yeah.

So he had his own brooom. Awesome! Ah, Firebolts, the good ones. "That's cool." She nodded and smiled. "Hmh!" She took a sip, then continued talking. "I got a custom made one... I had sort of promised myself a broom for my fifth year...and then I got Captain..." Like, that she still couldn't believe. And now she was broke...but, she didn't mind.

"Maybe they have Quidditch gloves in Gladrags." Not likely, but it wouldn't hurt to see. Her eyes grew wide as she saw the boy putting his hoodie back. Whoa. Maybe he wanted to go back to the castle? CHOCOLATE! Miranda chuckled. "It's fine. But you could help me carry it..." HE HE! "Don't you have a favorite wizard candy?" Cus if he was buying, she did NOT want to be in his debt. Snort.

She took another sip of the free butterbeer, put it aside and got ready, standing up. Get the heck awat from this place.

'Of course.' Destiny nodded to Evelyn. Just because her brothers did not know her, didn't mean they didn't know of her. Not that Destiny went and talked about her to them.. 'I'm sure he will be thrilled to hear from me.' Especially with what she was asking for, plus that galleon. He better give her both.

Whaaaat? Did Josh call Evelyn hun? No. She was hearing things. That's been happening a lot lately. 'Yep. I have to go write a letter.' she said, as she glared a hole in the back of The Lawsonator. Josh had no idea, but Evelyn would fill him in later. Preferably, when the creepy Professor left. 'And then I have to go to the Healer, I keep hearing things.' Which could have been a symptom of cootieitis.

When she figured the hole was big enough in Lawson's back, she looked from Evelyn to Josh. Hmm, maybe she should stay to figure if something was going on between them.. But she was already dusted off, and she felt if she stayed any longer, the dust would just swarm onto her, and dust was hard to wash off clothes. 'Bye!' she waved back to them and walked out into the street.

She needed to find an owl.

Ooops!

He hastily handed the bottle back to Tibi, "Was that one of my slave requirements?" he asked with a small chuckle. He took another very small sip of his firewhiskey so that it looked like he was actually drinking it before lowering the glass and grinning at the young Ravenclaw.

"I'm doing pretty good, thank Tibi." Marcus looked around the pub for a moment before letting his eyes rest back on the youngster. "This place is a bit out of your league isn't it?"

"Nice to meet you Mr Huxley." He offered his hand to the barkeep. A manly handshake in greeting. Yep.
"On the odd occasion" Marcus answered evasively and sparing a quick glance at Samuel. The man better not rat him out in front of the kids. He was supposed to be an upstanding Professor after all.

Looking back at Dylan, Marcus raised an eyebrow. "I don't recommend it by the way. Oh did you want something to drink Dylan?"

As he stood talking to Dylan, Marcus could feel eyes on him and he turned ever so slowly with his glass to his lips just in time to see Destiny leaving the bar. He smirked at her retreating back and then proceeded to scan the bar. It was not like Destiny to be anywhere without her twin.

And there she was.

He spotted Evelyn almost immediately and she was sitting with Joshua. Lovely. He had gone from dealing with the terrible two to the terrorising trio. Marcus would have to keep a close eye on those three. Nothing good would come of that partnering of that he was sure.

Dylan smiled, "On the odd occasion? Like myself then. Went to Monte Carlo once. You have to play there. It is like a law or something." Well something like that anyway. "You don't? But the mathmatical probability, gives your mind some work to do. A mental work out."

He nodded, "A firewhisky please." Yeah like he could get away with that. He had to think of a manly drink. Butterbeer was manly for the kids right. He could always tap it and change it so it tasted of strawberries or something.

Tiberius ducked out of habit when the cork shot across the room. That was... interesting.

"No no, I'm still thinking about that," Tiberius smirked as he took the butterbeer bottle back. "This was just a favor." He giggled. What was he going to have Lawson do for him.

"I had a coupon for a free butterbeer that I wanted to redeem." Tiberius looked around the pub. "I wouldn't come in here otherwise." He nodded sincerely. It was... creepy in here. He looked at the barkeep out of the corner of his eye as he took a long, slow drink. Hopefully he hadn't offended the man.
