Constantine sighed. "I'm sorry. Will you please sit down on the lovely patch of earth, you lovely child, you? Please?" He really hoped he wouldn't have to do the puppy dog look. It weren't pretty.

Carter laughed. "Thanks. I'm sure the spell will come in handy too. I didn't see Marilyn in the lesson. So when I finally run into her I'm sure she'll be impressed." he said twirling his wand. With a quick "Orchideous" he was now holding a single red rose. He offered it to Mina. "Now tell me what kind of girl would be able to resist that?" he said laughing.

He missed Marilyn. A lot. He probably talked about her all time. He wouldn't be surprised if his friends were tired of him talking about her. But she was important to him. And after the situation with Rafe and her trusting her over the summer, he was sure she felt the same way. He couldn't help but worry about her. Especially with what Mina had said about pure-blood families. He was sure her family wouldn't be as forgiving as Mina's if they found out.

Mina smiled and took the rose, giving it a smell. "I'm sure Marilyn will be very impressed. I know I would be. I'm of an orchid kind of girl, but roses are know to win to win over everyone." she nodded. No one could resist flowers anyway.

She still couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't all correct, but she didn't mention it. She wasn't going to pry into her friends' business and didn't want to upset anyone and chose to just stay silent for the time being.

"You know butterflies are very impressive too." she added. Now what kind of girl wasn't impressed with both of those?

"Oh, you mean like this?" Carter asked casting a "Papilio". Out of his wand fluttered one of his Gryffindor colored butterflies. Maybe one day he'd try other colors. Maybe. Probably not though. He liked his Gryffindor butterflies. He laughed as the butterfly fluttered over and landed on Mina's nose. "I really wish I had a camera right now. That look is a keeper." he said holding up his hands pretending to hold a camera.

Mina let out a giggle as the butterfly landed on her nose. It was a cute little thing, wasn't it? Her mind wandered back to what she learned in class about butterflies and lifted the rose up. Watching the butterfly flutter over to the rose, she smiled. "That makes two of us. I would have loved to see what I looked like just then." She really needed to get a camera, who knew what missed moments were passing her by. She wanted some kind of reminder of her year and this would have been a great one to have documented.

Carter laughed. "Maybe I'll bring one next year. Muggle cameras work here, right? I saw students carrying them around last year." he said. It was probably for the muggle studies class. He laughed a little bit at the thought that some of these witches and wizards were studying things that he had been involved in his whole life.

Mina smiled as she moved the rose around, the butterfly following it. "You really should. It would be fun to have one around. I mean I liked carrying one last year." she said. She actually had a lot of fun with the one she was issued for Muggle Studies. She actually used it to take a picture of Carter and Ella, but she was pretty sure neither of them even noticed at the moment.

Carter nodded. "In that case I will get one." he said. "It'll be nice to have pictures of my friends to show my family. Anya would just love them." he said with a smile. "Maybe I'll have you guys over for my birthday during the summer or something." he said. "I do believe I owe you an omelette made on a muggle stove." he added.

Mina smiled and continued to play with the butterfly. "Yeah it would be nice. Maybe I should get one myself next year." she said as the butterfly flew away. She had been thinking about starting a scrapbook about her time at Hogwarts.

"I'm actually looking forward to this omelette you keep promising," she smiled. She was actually looking forward to finally meeting Anya as well.

Carter smiled. "Yeah. It would be fun to have all the pictures. Especially during a match. I'd love to see what I look like up there." he said.

"And you should be looking forward to it. They're amazing." he teased. "But hopefully you will be able to some this summer. My family would love to meet some of my school friends."

Mina smiled at the thought of having pictures from matches. Those would really be nice. "Yeah and you can see how happy you look up there." she nodded. She can still remember the look of happiness on Carter's face during that first match last year.

"Amazing, really? Well then, I definietly have to come over and have some." she laughed. The thought of food as starting to make her hungry now.

"You know I would love to meet your family. Plus you can teach me some stuff about football. I'm kind of interesting after we got to kick around the ball in Muggle Studies." she smiled. She hadn't really expected to like the game but it might just be growing on her now.

Carter laughed. "Well hopefully that happy face of mine didn't take away from the game." he said. That could be embarrassing.

"You learned about football?" he asked. Maybe he should have gone to muggle studies. "I do know a lot about it." he was pretty sure that everyone knew what he gave up to be at Hogwarts. "I'd love to teach you more. Ella and I play every once in awhile. Would you like to join us next time?"

Mina shook her head and laughed. "You know it was great to see how happy the match was making you. I know I enjoyed the match even though we lost, but there is always this year." she reasoned. She would always remember that match, but she would keep that to herself.

"Yeah, Professor Lawson had us kicking around the ball and stuff. Someone got detention for kicking a ball at Jake Upstead." she explained. The Hufflepuff still gave her the creeps, but there was no need to hurt him. "Really? I would like that if you and Ella don't mind. I mean if it's like something just the two of you do, I don't want to intrude."

Carter smiled. "That was the first game you saw, wasn't it. Because we met before then. And you didn't know anything about quidditch." He couldn't believe it had already been a year. Time sure flies, doesn't it?

"We wouldn't mind. It'll be a lot of fun. I'm sure she'd appreciate having a girl to play with as well. I'm a bit competitive." he said with a laugh.

Mina nodded. "Well, I only knew a little about quidditch. My brothers never let me play and they never explained it to me, but you and Jason created a monster that match." she laughed as she remember that day. It was hard to believe that really was last year and how things were different now.

"Competitive? I think everyone gets a bit competitive when sports of any kind are involved. I'm not great but you know how much of a quick study I can be." She could kick but her direction of it needed a lot of work.

Carter laughed. "A monster? Well, hopefully that doesn't come back to haunt me." he joked. It already had, of course, in the form of detention.

"So have you heard anything about who made the Ravenclaw team yet?"

Mina smiled and shrugged. "Well, I'll try to keep the monster at bay from now on, promise." She could just have to bring out the monster whilst around her brothers and at home. She could be good while at school, she could do that.

"No word yet. I thought I'd be like nervous about it, but I'm not." she sighed. She did want to make the team, but if she didn't she would just try next year. "How did try-outs go for the Gryffies?" She didn't get a chance to go down to watch any of the other house's tryouts.

Carter shrugged. "I didn't do as well as I wanted to. I think I only scored two or three times. I guess we'll see if that was good enough. If not I guess I have a fellow quidditch fan to sit with during the matches." he said with a smile. It would be pretty sad if he didn't make the team. But, he didn't do as well as he wanted to and there was a new captain. Between those two things it was possible that he wouldn't make the team. But if that were the case he promised himself not to take it too hard.

Mina nodded and frowned a little. "I'm sure you did your best. I mean you managed to score more than I did, so your chances are better than mine." She really wanted to see Carter on the team. "Well if we both end up in the stands and not on our teams. You can see me cheer first hand." she smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Plus you could coach me if I need to distract the other players."

Carter smirked. "I'm sure that'll be worth not making the team." he said imagining Mina doing little cheers with her little teddy bear. "I think being there might be a distraction enough on some guys." he chuckled. He knew that when Marilyn came to his games last year he was a bit distracted.

Neptune giggled, the "shy" laugh where she covered her nose with her fingers. Lovely child! Oh he had DEFINITELY seen the error of his ways. Neptune moved over right next to him and daintily took a seat. She fanned her skirt out in front of her and made a grand show of tucking it under her.

He was SO going to do all the work and she was going to watch and commentate and tell him just how good he was doing (assuming he was). "Do proceed, Mr. Masterson, Sir. I am SO so looking forward to your demonstration!" Hurrrah! She clapped for him a little prematurely but .. GIGGLE .. he had potential, Neptune was sure.

Barry was depressed. It seemed like he was always depressed this term. How....depressing. He was pondering about how he hadn`t done anything special in his hogwarts career. This term he had to do something fun.

Barry sat down and pulled out an apple from his pocket and took a bite when a thought occured to him. How would a duplicate apple taste? Barry took out his wand, pictured two apples in his head made the wand movement and said "GENIMO!" Great, nothing.

He`d messed up the words. He raised up his wand again, pictured two apples , made the wand movement and this time he said "GEMINO!" and then appeared two apples. Wonderful. He moved the duplicate apple to his mouth to see how it tasted....

Mina shook her head and laughed. "I highly doubt that, I mean it's just me." she shrugged. She really did doubt her presence alone would be that distracting, but who knew really. "YOu have to promise not to laugh though. I have cheers and all but I never said they were that good."

Neo breathed out a sigh of relief as the young girl took a see down on the grass beside him, making a show of fixing her skirt. Ah...she was ready now.

"It's rather simple, really," he started, picking up the trowel. "You just dig a large hole in the soil..." and he did so, "and then you plop the flower in and recover with the dirt. The trick, however, is to co-ordinate." He smiled and pointed over at the colourful array of flowers. "You seem like one to know the perfect place for each flower."

Carter shook his head. "If you say so. But I'm pretty sure there's a guy just tripping over himself wanting to meet you." he said with a smile. "And I look forward to your cheers. I won't laugh. I promise."
