Torin sent another stunner at Reese even though he figured that it was hopeless. "I saw Cela," he explained to Jack. The Hogs Head guy took her upstairs. As far as Torin could see. They would be anywhere now for all he knew.

Then he heard what Raiden said. He was going to send one, when he saw Jack make one.

Relief washed over him as he felt the spells slip away. Adrenaline surged over the wounds that would surely entice pain later, for now quelling it to a dull, numb throbbing. "Yeah. They're heading up the steps." Carter said.

...And then he was down again...

But luckily Jack was still there. Now instead of just a headache his head was pounding. That spell was not fun at all.

"Protego. Protego. Protego." he said over and over until a shield formed properly.

"Come on Marie. We've got to go." he said shaking her a bit.

As he pondered how to keep everyone in the entrance hall, Tiberius felt something pulling him elsewhere. With a fleeting glance as the fray, Tiberius cast a few rapid spells at people's clothes. "Incendio. Incendio. Incendio."

And with that, Tiberius turned and ran. He had other places he needed to be.

"Lina you brought me down here for nothing!" hissed Violet.

Once again Carter saved Marie. SHe got up from the fllor again and this time cast the strongest shield she could around her.......Just in time too.

This tim ethe stunner did not affect her. She spn around and without even looking to see who it was she cast.

"EXELIARMUS! STUPEFY!"

She didn't know who her spells were heading for, all she knew was it was heading for someone.

Nodding to the Ravenclaw boy she headed over and blocked off the way that lead to the rest of the castle, wand held ready to attack all to atempted to pass.

Arya's shield held strong as the spells bounced off of her shield. She would need to thank Sir Lawson later for helping her with it, he would be so proud. Suddenly she felt that she wasn't needed here anymore. Keeping her shield up she turned and high tailed it out of the entrance hall.

With everything that was going on and Kay trying to stop Oliver. Everlyn had ran up and hit her in the nose. "Great Evelyn!" Blood as running out of her nose and she could take her eyes off Oliver. "You'll get your later you git."

Oh no she didn't, Violet was not going to yell at Lina to stop healing Raiden.

"LANGLOCK! PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!"

She shouted at Violet. SOmeone needed to shut the girl up.

As she was running, noticing that her spell seemed to bounce off some shield that Carter must have put up, she felt something zoom past her head, making her feel the lagging wind from it.

Whaaaaaat was that?!

Wide eyed, she stopped and turned around to see who it was. Seriously? Him? Hurting a little girl? Pfft he was a Prefect! Should be setting an example and trying to bring peace with words and song, that's what he should be doing. Would make it so much easier to stun him if that happened...

Raising her wand to send a spell back, she suddenly paused and looked confused for a moment. She had to go. Suddenly, Evelyn went into a full sprint towards the stairs, pushing anyone out of the way, including kicking Carter rather hard as she passed him.

Goooottttaaa goooo....

Reese only laughed when Jack told her to stop this. And she knew it was Jack, but that didn't matter to her at the moment. The only thing that mattered was not letting anyone of these people get to Samuel. She placed one more shield around her to block Jack's stunner before she turned around and ran up the staircase.

Even though she was enjoying this fight, she had to be somewhere else.

Raiden knew what death felt like. And it did not feel like this. This was a grievous wound, but... he wasn't going to die. He was in Hogwarts, there were people here. He was not going to die.

"I'm not going to die," he gasped, words disjointed; whatever Lina was doing to him caused him to jerk in pain, and he stopped breathing altogether again, lungs refusing to draw in air until he stopped.

Breathe. Breathe, you fool.

"S-Sabel." The voice was definitely his friend's. Raiden's hand abandoned his wand and grabbed weakly in the direction the voice had come from. "The professors n-need to be TOLD."

Why were there people here, next to him? Why were they so worried? It didn't hurt that much anymore. In fact, a strange numbness had started spreading through his arm and chest.

If he'd opened his eyes, he would've realised that the blackness had invaded farther.

He passed out again.

Were they retreating? Wand-happy stunner girl just went... up... the.. stairs... to join the rest of them!

He received a rather hard kick to the face. He popped his jaw. He was probably bleeding, but he couldn't tell. But it did take him another moment to gather his senses. Evelyn had fled too.

"Come on Marie. Let's go." he said standing up and holding a hand to her.

He did a quick check of everyone around. Did he look that beat up to? "Did they say where they were going?" he asked looking around.

And just in case... he cast another protego. He was not going to get hit by a stunner for a... fourth time.

A stunner whistled past his singed ear, warning him that he was being attacked from behind. He whirled around to see the Huffie prefect once again. “Protego!” He yelled and held his shield in place as a couple more spells came his way.

But then.. oh crap.

His eyes widened a little as the Red prefect appeared from nowhere and cast a shield on the huffie girl.

How.. Gryffindor of him.

Oh maan.. three against one? This was so not cool.

He frowned, puzzled at the Hufflepuff girl. Tell him off!? What on earth for? If he hadn't been so out of it he would have asked. But then he got a look in his eyes and knew he had to get out of here. Saved by the bell as it were because he couldn't take on three kids at once.

With a quick glance at the three, he turned on his heal and pegged it like the muggle athlete he was towards the stairs not pausing to look back. Up he sprinted as fast as he could. He was needed somewhere else.

How to know which children were good? And which were bad? Why was this happening!? Why were they shooting spells at one another!? She should've been all cosy in her office! Grading homework over a nice cup of tea!

SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

"Run for cover!" She exclaimed, covering her head with her arms and doing just that.

Professor Pilliwickle ran away.

Well... more like waddled.

No, Evelyn kicked Carter then took off running.

She had to be stopped.

Pointing her wand at Evelyns back she yelled....

"STUPEFY"

Where did she think she was going anyway?

"Raiden the odds are you'll probably die, but it won't matter because then I won't have to deal with another Prefect." said Violet. Oops probably not the nicest thing to say. "Well but dude its kinda the truth."

Having already a shield up as she ran, Evelyn felt something bounce right off of it making her stop just for a moment. Was she ever going to get a break?

Turning around, her black eyes glared at Marie, although she was satisfied at seeing Carter's face messed up. Merlin she was good at kicking. Oh well, she tried to be nice to the girl. "Reducto!" she yelled, pointing her wand at the Slytherin before making her way out of the hall.

"Shut up Violet, leave him alone."

Marie had enough of that girl.

"LANGLOCK! INCARCEROUS!"

She watched as ropes shot out of her wand headed straight for Violet. There was no way they could miss.

Watching Oliver look like a scared rabbit he took off running. Kay watch was he headed of the stair. "Oh No You Don't!" Kay yelled and gave chase. Running thought the hall and see everyone as hurt or bleeding. 'God how did this all happen' she thought running for the stairs. "Oliver!" she yelled. She knew she was bleeding as well. Kay could feel it on her face but didn't care she had to get up those stairs.

The beeps were starting to fade. Lina only became more determined. "Oh no you don't..." She managed to prop him up slightly, remembering lessons that she wasn't sure where she'd learned them. She managed to get the healing potion into him, then poured a little onto his shoulder. She went back to healing him, this time stronger and more determined. It was working, but he was so pale... She knew he must have lost a lot of blood already. But she knew if she didn't heal him well enough then he could start bleeding again. He couldn't chance waking him long enough to give him the other potions. At least the combat seemed to have started letting up.

Another Professor. Did it matter which one? Headmaster Tate? Professor Kade? Professor Lupa? Anyone of them seemed as good as the next. He had never casted a Patronus before, though many attempts had shown him he was brilliant at failing. But this, this was different. This was a world torn apart, his friends attacking one another...hurting each other.

Reaching out with his free hand, Sabel grasped Raiden's, holding it tight, firmly. There was a strength in the boy's actions that was unmistakable; an understanding it brought searing to the surface with all the horror of the events around them. The power with which the need to protect, to survive, to endure to see his friends laughing again, to see them smiling again bore through him like a white light.

Casting his wand out he released the pent up energy; "Expecto Patronum!" White light seared forth from the wand in the form of an otter, skidding across the floor before getting a grip and half-scrambling, half-sliding through the chaos and down a hall. Which Professor it went to, he had no idea. As long as it go there.
