"It. Just. Happened. Yeah, right," Vindictus replied. "Tell me, did your DADA book go all 'POOF!' because it felt bad? Have you destroyed any other papers this year? Are you acting this way because you are stressed out over maintaining a perfect, and I mean PERFECT, grade point average while being the best prefect that Ravenclaw's ever seen?"

"Just... vouchers sir." Cela answered quietly. "I couldn't help it." There's something wrong... I have a bad feeling." She shook her head and deflated in an obvious way. "I have homework I should... do." Her grades were slipping a little and Cela was distinctly aware of it.

"Is there something I can do to make for interrupting your class, Professor Vindictus?" She gestured around the broomshed. It wasn't very fun having everone think you were crazy, especially when you were kinda nervous of it yourself.

Cela's question made Max pause for a moment and he stroked his mustache while he considered his reply. Yes, she did seem like she was sorry for making papers go poof. Not to mention, she was a prefect and usually one of the top points earners (something was off). Slacking off. Too bad he didn't have Cope or Plymmie to say something to her about her falling grades.

Decision made.

"Well, since you clearly can't control which papers go poof and the fact that I was about to owl your parents about your lack of academic progress this term, maybe there is one thing you can do for me." Vindictus hesitated and looked Cela directly in the eye. "Get your rear in gear and start doing your homework before I place you on academic probation. Understood?"

Allison was still patting her broom when Professor Vindictus dropped the bomb about academic probation. Jaw dropping and nowhere to hide Allison let out a strangled gasp. Immediately coughing, she realized that it was probably for everyone's benefit that she bit back her question and slowly walk out of the broom shed.

Giving a wary grin to the broom, Allison put it away picked up her stuff and all but ran out the broomshed's door. There was no time to bother Professor Vindictus with silly things. And it seemed, it wasn't the appropriate time to be eavesdropping on her hero's misfortunes. If you could call Cela her hero; for Allison was taking notice that she saw less and less of the girl. At least Sabel her fake-adopted brother, she would see daily. But Cela was becoming scarce.

Cela went pale in an obvious way. If he owled her parents... she was at a huge HUGE risk of being pulled from school. "Yes sir." Cela whispered, her heart in her throat.

She looked down at her feet and bit her lip, waiting to be dismissed or something.

Tiberius looked at Cela as she whispered, suddenly feeling really bad for having told Vindictus what had happened in the common room. He didn't like to see Cela in trouble. He'd been afraid something was wrong wrong. But maybe he had been wrong? Tibi chewed on the inside of his mouth, confused.

He wasn't quite sure what to do. What did you do when your much much older friend looked worried or upset?

He bit his own lip and looked down at his own shoes.

Awkward.

Vindictus reached into his pocket and pulled out three bars of Honeydukes chocolate, and handed one to Tibi and Cela. "I always keep chocolate for emergency situations like this. Now eat your chocolate on your way back to the Castle and make me proud." He then raised an eyebrow at Miles and handed the other prefect the third chocolate bar. "Dismissed."

Marie ran into the broomshed looking for the perfect broom to fly on. She was so excited because today they were allowed to practice flying. Looking around she finds the broom that she had cared for during the last class in here. Taking it out of the rack she quickly runs out to the pitch to fly.

Cela took the chocolate with an unsure smile, she managed to whisper thank you, followed by sorry, before standing up, collecting her things and slowly heading up to the castle.
