Ah ha. So that was how it worked. Why, despite the loathing he held for flying, did he feel like he was going to be visiting the broomshed often? Perhaps it had something to do with naming the broom, despite it being an inanimate object. Strange how such things worked.

"Alright, thank you Sir." He'd have to stop by after classes then and finish fixing the damage. It didn't have a name plate, but it looked, at the very least, slightly better than when he had started.

Arya looked back to Cela, who was now acting as nothing had happened. The was just plain wierd to her, what Allison saw in her she had no idea. Broom in hand she turned back to the Professor to have in inspected so she could leave. "I'm done Professor."She held her broom a little higher so he could have a better look.

"Well, I'm sorry to say that our lesson for today has come to an end and I hope that you enjoy your coupons," Vindictus said. I was going to keep them for myself but its nice to share. "In addition to these neat little coupons, I've decided to reward a point to each House for student who participated in this lesson."

He grinned. "Please place your used rags at the center of your tables and make sure you close the lid tight on the broom polish before placing it back inside the care kits. Leave the care kits on the table and as you leave the shed, please return the brooms to the broom rack."

"Class dismissed!" he said loudly and then turned to Cela. "Except for Miss Toussaint."

Blink. Celandine followed all the instructions got ready to leave... and then sat down again. Dirt and polish streaked her skin, basically anywhere her fingers had brushed.

She clasped her fingers together and peeked around. She couldn't pretend like nothing happened right? That so hadn't worked. She deflated a little and waited for Professor Vindictus with a thoughtful and slightly worried expression on her face.

The worry wasn't for the professor either.

Tiberius tossed the rags into the center of the table, and made extra sure the polish was capped tightly. Looking back over his shoulder at Celandine, he packed up the broomcare kit.

Turning back to the broom, he carefully picked it up and walked over to the broom rack. But instead of leaving, he turned back. Vindictus had asked him to stay, right?

Walking up to where Cela sat, he slid in next to her.

"Hi." He hadn't spoken to her since... well. Since.

Sidney finished polishing her broom. It doesn't look as good as the one on the mantel, but it does look better than when she received it. She places her used rags in the center of the table, replaces the lid on the polish, and seals it tight. Sidney replaces it to broom cleaning kit and makes sure everything is in its place. She watches the Ravenclaw sitting at the table. The one who just tore her coupon into little pieces. Does the girl know something the rest of them don't? Interesting... Might be a good idea to leave those things alone. May be some bad magic on them. One of those horrible things the headmaster is waiting to happen. Sidney collects her broom and deposits on the racke as she leaves class.

Yeah, class was over and no homework. Marie put the dirty rags in the middle of the table, tightened the lid on the polish and put it back in the broom care kit. Leaving the kit on the table she grabbed the broom and carefully put it back in the rack.

"Thanks again for the coupon, have a great day," Marie said to the professor as she left the broomshed.

Arya took her broom over to the rack and gently placed back from where she got it. She wanted to go spend some much needed time with Perseus, if she could find the kitten. Skiping back over to the table she closed her polish, placing it back into the box. After putting away all her other supplies she grabed her bag and headed out the shed, but not without saying goodbye to the professor, "See ya latter Professor!"

Mina finished up with her broom and held it up. Ooo, shiny. It wasn't like SHINY shiny, but it wasn't dull any more. She thought she did a fairly good job. Setting it back down on the table, she moved to close up the canister of polish. No need to make a messy, she thought. Putting everything back into the broom clearing kit, she returned the broom make to the rack.

Very productive lesson.

"Great lesson, professor." she smiled as she gathered her things and made her way out. She looked over at Cela and smiled as she walked out. She was a little concerned about the whole coupon thing, but she was sure there was a reasonable explanation for it. Besides it wasn't really her place to question her house mates anyway.

Miles looked around and before he knew it class had been dismissed. His eyes stayed fixed on Cela with a curious look on his face and then back to Professor V. Taking his time in putting away his things he tried to take as long as possible. Whatever had happened didn't seem normal that was for sure and he wanted to know just WHAT had caused it. And also what was it about these coupons.... Hmmm.... Inspector Miles was back in business. There was definitely something odd going on here.

Fiddling with the stuff in his box he arranged and rearranged it carefully trying to figure out if he could hide anywhere but there really wasn't anyplace to hide in here so instead he continued polishing the broom handle with the polish that was left out. Yes...this spot...it must get out. Focusing hard on it he pretended not to hear the professor dismiss class and not notice people leaving. It was just him and the spot. The devilish spot.

Returning Horus to his place on the wall and making sure his space was cleaned the way the Professor wanted it, Sabel retrieved his backpack from under the bench. Saying a quick goodbye to Vindictus, he moved out of the shed to stand off to the side as he waited for Kellen to finish. No sense in clogging up the already packed space.

Vindictus waved at those who were leaving. "Have a great day!" he called out and when the last student had left, he turned towards Cela. Thankgoodness he had Tibi and Miles as witnesses. Miles? WHAT? Oh, well.

"Cela, what in Merlin's great warty nose is going on with you?" he asked and folded his arms. "You're scaring the other students with your odd behavior! Did you actually try to memorize that 15 pound arithmancy book in the library?"

Allison had long finished polishing her broom, yet didn't know whether to say anything. As it was Professor Vindictus was now speaking with Cela. Cela the hero. Cela the older girl she wished to adopt as her sister. Cela who giggled randomly and instead of making Allison feel all warm and proud of her was starting to make her feel awkward. Cela who seemed to be losing her mind over the coupons she enjoyed? exploding.

Patting her gleaming broom Allison looked around as people filed out of the class. Torn between seeing if her mother had finally written back, or staying behind with Cela as moral support, Allison packed the polish and its rags slowly back into the kit. Then again she did wish to speak to Professor Vindictus...just one small question. Maybe she'd visit him at his office, or maybe she'd take the longest time in putting away the kit and broom and just so happened to be the last one in the broomshed. Giving the broom a small pat Allison waited--trying to act as if she was invisible.

Right.

Gold tipped open the lid of the polish-container and, with the help of a rag, scooped out a small quantity of its shiny contents. Then she began to wipe the polish on to the handle of the broomstick, making sure that she did so in a gentle, circular motion.

Though she would have done things this way, even if they hadn't been instructed about it and all.

She waited her two minutes, then polished the whole thing off with the other rag. Buffing ... yeah, she liked it. She hummed a little song under her breath as she worked and, when the whole thing was done thrice, she nearly wiped her hands on her robes.

Nearly, but not quite.

Well, back to her share of broomstick. It was quite shiny now, maybe not the mirror-like specimen Professor V had shown 'em all, but still in pretty good shape. Gold stepped up to the flying instructor, and held out her broom for inspection, totally oblivious to the whole Cela thing.

What?

"Scaring?" Cela eyed Tibi and don't think she didn't spot Miles and Allison either. "I didn't mean to scare... that is I couldn't... those coupons... that one..." Cela chewed her lip, not bothering to mention that the giant arithmancy book that the good professor was referring to was one she'd read from cover to cover on numerous occassions.

Should she tell Professor Vindictus? Should she... Celandine eyed her housemates, the look she shot at Tiberius in particular was apologetic.

"It won't happen again, sir. I'm sorry. Um... I just miss Copernicus a lot?" Would he believe that as a good reason? She did miss her boyfriend an awful lot, even if that wasn't what was truly making her feel... ick.

Tiberius looked up at Cela not knowing what to think. She looked sorry, but that still didn't explain why.

And why were those other people still here? Tiberius frowned. "I-it's just a little... weird," Tibi whispered only for her. "an' not haha-weird. A 'something's not right' weird." After last year? People acting funny set off all sorts of warning bells in Tibi's head, whether or not something was actually wrong. And in this situation, he just didn't know.

"You said it was bad," he said a little louder, so Vindictus could hear. "In the common room, you said the coupon was bad."

Miranda was just scratching her forehead, leaving a smear of polish, and looked up to se Mister Vindictus commenting on her workness. "Thankyou very much, sir." Coming from the Quidditch Professor, it meant alot. And then she shyly took the coupon from him. Ooooooh myyyyy gooooooooooosh. IT WAS CAKE! Free cake - oh and also tea but... - cake. As in maybe CHOCOLATE cake! Drool.

Aw, class is over... Well, she was feeling a but clipped-out. Hehe, geddit? But it had been a fun class. Miranda grabbed her used cloths and placed them in the little pile that was starting to form in the middle of the table. And she had already placed back the polish, but made sure it was REALLY tightly closed before asserting that everything was in order and she was good to go!

She stood up, got her stuff together and went to replace the broom where she had taken it. Aw, it's like she didn't really want to part with it...but she had to. Her own broom was up in her room. Hehe. She walked over to the Professor. "Thanks for a valuable lesson, sir. This will definitely come in handy...and hope to become a better Captain incase someone needs broom care tips." With a nod and a small smile, she walked out of the broomshed.

Miles ran his hand smoothly over the polished broom handle as Vindictus spoke to Cela and then Tibi spoke and he frowned. The coupons were bad....? He needed one of those coupons now. Swallowing he looked around and drummed his fingers lightly on his slacks not caring that he was getting polish all over them. He knew Cela wasn't going to discuss what was really wrong with them. He needed to corner her. But...he wanted to get his hands on one. Clearing his throat he put his things away carefully and admired the job he did on the broom. It was a fantastic job if he said so himself.

Standing up he walked over toward Vindictus with a huge smile, "All done Professor V. Good as new if I say so myself." His eyes fell on Cela curiously and then went back to the professor. "I think those coupons are quite interesting. Free stuff. Smart. Everyone loves free things. I'm a chocolate person myself," he said talking on and on in his normal way as he tried to get one of those coupons. He didn't want to redeem it. He wanted to analyze it.

Emily, a little freaked out from cela's strange act quickly put her coupon in nher satchel and put her broom stuff away and wanted to GET THE HECK OUT OF THERE! "Bye proffessor...." Emily said and ran out the door.

Oh wow. Nina looked nervously at Cela. [I]I hope she's okay.[I] she thought. Professor Vindictus seemed to think she was so it will be alright.

"Thanks for the lesson Professor. And the coupon." Nina said as she walked nervously out the door.

She gave Allison a weak smile and glanced back at Cela again before heading toward the castle.

"I did?" That surprised her. Cela hadn't recalled saying anything. She knew what she'd done and sort of a bit about the revulsion, but she didn't know what caused the feeling.

She bit her lip thoughtfully.

Tiberius bit his lip, too, as he looked up at her and nodded.

"Yeah. You asked me where I got it. You said, 'It's bad,' and then POOF, you burned it up." He kept his voice low, once again, whispering just to Cela as she sat next to him.

Tibi folded his hands in his lap and stared at the table. Awkward.

Vindictus frowned and held the baggie with the confetti coupon bit in front of Cela. "You destroyed a piece of paper to a place that is soaked in wizarding history. Aren't you aware that you could have asked me for a different one? But noooo, you had to go all witchy on it and blow it into itty bits in front of the entire class."

"I don't want any of them sir." Celandine answered quietly, shaking just slightly after what Tibi said. She hadn't said anything, had she? She remembered burning it up...

Sure the butterbeer one was the one creeping her out, but overall Cela wanted to avoid the coupons as best she could... and she still didn't know why.

"I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose I... couldn't... it just happened." She finished, helplessly.
