Jude listened as Kaya explained herself. So they had a common interest, that was always good when finding a friend. "I can fly fairly well, but I haven't tried out for the team, no." he replied with a nod of his head. Studies were too important to him; he couldn't get distracted anymore than he already was by friends, and families and...Thalia.

Kaya nodded, "Well maybe you should try out then." She suggested, although she knew that Ravenclaws were very into their studies. But that was just so stereotypical of her to even think. Kaya wasn't very committed to her studies, however she knew that she wouldn't succeed in Quidditch, she was clearly just a stand-byer.

When Lorcan heard the words 'house team', 'Chaser' and 'Quidditch', he held his breath, waiting for the punchline. It didn't come and he sucked in a big gulp of air, choking a little. Red in the face, but not from blushing. He reached out and grabbed her hand. "That's..." awful, dangerous, mental... "... brilliant." He tried to sound enthusiastic. But the hand that was squeezing hers as though she was going to fall away from him and the wildly desperate look in his eyes betrayed him.
