"It's possible..." He frowned to himself, but nodded at what she said next, "That makes more sense. Throwing the planner away after they found out a secret."

So why wouldn't the killer go after it? Surely if they saw it thrown in they'd come back to retrieve it. A killer like this certainly didn't want to be caught. Then again, maybe they were getting off-track with the whole death thing. Hadn't the Headmaster said something about the one responsible being caught?

Consider all options. "It could be that someone had more than one boyfriend or girlfriend, and they threw the planner away so no one would see that they were being scheduled around the other date? Or maybe they..." He focused on her once more and realized her face was really close.

"Neptune, since when did you grow this tall?" He asked with a hint of sarcasm.

"Oooooohhhhhhh," Neptune nodded slowly, her eyes growing even WIDER. "What a scandal! I wonder if they got caught?!" Someone was ALL caught up in the story.

Neptune touched her fingertip to the very end of his nose. "Since just now, Kellen Stern." GIGGLE.

He blinked when she touched his nose. Thank you, reflexes.

"Who knows?" Kellen shrugged. He was all for finding out whose planner it was, as that involved putting together evidence and all the other fun things he'd read about in Muggle spy and detective fiction, but when it came to the actual scandal...? Well, that was where Neptune could have more fun.

"Do you think they're still at the school? Or did they graduate?"

Annie was devastated by these words. She couldn't look at Drew again, not with that dumb cold striking her down, making her feel as if she was useless, dumb and so congested. Eww...

"I was heading down, although I don't like doctors or anything that might be similar to them. But I am serious, I need to get this cold get over with..." She told him, trying to not sneeze anymore nor cough.

Aww, man. He was worried. Sweet kid..."Would you mind coming with me to see Healer Ashford?" She proposed to him. Maybe they'd have a talk while then.

"You know I'm new here, too, silly. I certainly don't know." Neptune settled back down her normal height, folding her knees away and leaning Kellen's way so that he supported her weight. "I suppose we could ask around... after we read though it ALL."

"Sure, sounds like a plan to me." Kellen minded reading through people's things if it involved sneaking the book from a hidden area, trunk, or drawer. This book had been thrown away and was, therefore, fair game.

And now Neptune was leaning against him. Not liking that his wand arm was pinned, he pulled it clear and let it rest across Boris' feet, "Besides, we can find out more clues if we keep reading."

"We can," Neptune grinned and might have made a cutesy face or two at Kellen. "We should take this to the Common Room where we can sit in the big chair together and read it." MMHMMMMMM.

"It'd certainly be more comfortable than this statue," he patted Boris' foot consolingly and looked up. "No offense, big guy."

He helped Neptune stand up and offered her his hand, "Shall we?"

Neptune was very surprised by his offer and it was obvious by the way she LOOKED at his hand. But the jumped at the opportunity before he retracted it. In response, she simply giggled. OF COURSE she'd go with him. Derrrrrr.

Looking like she'd won a blue ribbon for her prized Kellen, Neptune started tugging Kellen down the corridor to the stairs. WITH his hand in HERS, the scandalous Day Planner in the other.

Drew raised an eyebrow slightly as Annie turned away from him. Errrr had he done or said something that he wasn't suppose toooo???

He nodded to her words as she said she was heading down right now. "You don't like doctors? C'mon doctors aren't that scary." He told Annie. But then again his step farther was a doctor buuuut he was kind of weird...

Wait she wanted him to go with her! Reallly??? "No I wouldn't mind at all." Yes! That meant something good right??? I mean it couldn't mean something bad cause then she wouldn't have wanted him to go....

Sigh. Annie smiled as Drew agreed to be her company at the Healer's office. At least she wouldn't be alone, but with the boy she liked. Though, her smile turned into such a panic face when he mentioned doctors aren't that big of a deal.

"Are you kidding? I mean, have you seen what they always have with them...? Like...needles, that little stick that goes inside your mouth to check your throat in case you're sick, medicine...and that horrible smell to pure bleach..." Ugh, she hated that little scent whenever she had to do her monthly check for the soccer team. But heyyy...she was to face the nurse anyways, no come back from that....

"Shall we get going, then?" She asked him, putting her arm surrounding his. Errr...this sure looked akward.

Drew nodded. "Yes Annie I know what they have with them. But they aren't going to hurt you. Doctors and nurses are here to help you." He told her. "But if you don't like them then I guess I can't change your mind." He said.

"We shall." He said with a small smile. He then felt Annie's arm surrounding his own. Hmmmm what was that about???

Oh yeassh.

Drew had mentioned his step dad was a doctor, so he perfectly knew the whole deal about them. "Yeah, I'm sorry. But I had this terrible experience with one, when I twisted my ankle at the start of my soccer career. He just twisted it so hard and was even laughing at my expression...so, that little scene just got hooked inside my head..." She shivered. She hated to talk about her little weaknesses.

"I guess I can change my mind, but that'll take a bit of time..." She commented, nodding her head and trying to think of a way to do that. ´

That expression. EEek, didn't he like for her to almost hug him? Annie quickly took her arm out and blushed. "Sorry, it's kind of weird, I know. I'm barely getting used to touching people at more than a handshake..." She whispered...

Oddness...

"Ohhhh I see. Well it's alright. I would have to say if that happened to me I would hate doctors too. To tell you the truth I don't much like me step dad. He's nice and all but he's really weird. Sooo don't be sorry." Drew said giving her a small smile.

Awww why did Annie let go of him?! Ohhhh, maybe from his face??? "No it's fine." Drew said and then once more taking her hand. Eeep! What was happening between the two of them?? He was soon going to have to tell Annie that he really really liked her because if he didn't he felt like he was going to explode!

Annie giggled. "Aww, how could your step dad be weird, apart from being a doctor and all?" LOL. This conversation was turning from those really awful memories to something that could get them to know each other better. And that, Annie liked a lot... Sigh...

His hand, was touching hers.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG...

Annie looked up at Drew, since he was a bit more taller than her, then gulped. But this time, she didn't take her hand out of his. "I..." She was about to send the little bomb right into his face, but this time hesitated. "Alright..." Annie told her, moving her hand outside of Drew's and placing again her arm into his.

Aww...

"I don't know. He just is. He's all nerdy. I mean I like books and all. But he does not like any kind of sports and he treats me as if I were like ten. He's never had kids before. My brother and I like to pick on him sometime." Drew said with a small chuckle. Yeahhh that was kind of fun to do.

W.O.W!!!

Annie didn't move her hand! She didn't move her hand!!!! That was good right??? His heart pounded in his chest as he watched Annie looking up at him. She started to say something buy quickly stopped as she took his arm once more. "Ummm. W-we should probably get you to the nurse." He said studdering slighty. Yes he was nervous! He had never done this sort of thing before.....

Carter and Marie ended up on the fifth floor. Whatever was going on... it all lead here. Instead of going down the main corridor he led the way down a side corridor and didn't stop until there were some statues they could hide behind. They'd wait here for a few minutes to see if they could come up with a plan.

Marie followed Carter to the fifth floor. Every floor they had been on she heard others talking about getting to the fifth floor to protect him. Well here they were but she didn't see the strange guy... and she didn't see Mina either.

"So what do we do now?" If only they had a way of going through all the maddness without being noticed, it would be so much easier to find Mina.

Carter looked around at the statues. Maybe they could animate them? He had done a fantastic job last term animating chess pieces. And statues were just large chess pieces, right? Or maybe they could wear suits of armor.

"No idea..." he said after a few minutes. But he knew he did not want to just burst onto the corridor with no plan. After all, isn't this were all the students were heading?

Great, she was really hoping he had some sort of a plan here cuz she had nothing. Unless.....

"What if we went in acting like we were on their side, maybe they wouldn't attack us and we would be able to find Mina." Yeah it was a crazy idea and it probably wouldn't work but they needed to try something if they were going to save Mina.

"Wait... do you hear that?" Carter asked. The quiet hall now had the muffled sounds of spell-casting. "There's other people up here. On both sides." Otherwise there would be no need to cast spells.

"Maybe we could just go out there."

Marie listened to the sounds coming from the corridor. "Yes, let's go, it's not doing us any good just standing here. We need to help our friends."

She took out both wands and held them out in front of her.....well she did still have Ayra's wand so might as well use it.

"Let's go," she said as she stepped out from behind the satues. She was ready to duel now, no more hiding. She wanted to stop whoever was hurting her friends.
