Walking back to the Slytherin table, she paused for a moment and raised a brow before slowly taking a few steps back to her original seat. "That was genius Destiny." she muttered, sitting down and putting a bit of salad on her plate. Eh, she wasn't so hungry anymore. Especially for Hogwarts food. That was one of the two things she missed at home. Their own food. Not this stuff.

She did catch the part of the conversation about Rex and summer, making her inwardly cringe. She really wanted to be there when Marie decided to torture Rex, but how often did her Uncle invite her to spend the summer with him? Traveling? Never! This was like a once in a lifetime opportunity and she wanted to soak up every minute and second of it.

Hard choice...

But, she would think about that later when the time came. For now, she had neeewws for Destiny and Marie!!!! "Guess what I just found out."

Where had she been all day? Packing? Crying? Wandering the castle like the living dead? Yep, all of the above, but she couldn't say that to Blake - she pleaded the fifth and locked her jaw on that question. Helena's stomach did a feeble sort of lurch as he took her hand. It was too depressing to feel good at that moment. Alright, if you insist, she said heavily with a smile and then a sort of weak smile as she sat down next to her best friend.

Well so much for Marie thinking she would have a friend over this summer. It looked like neither Evelyn or Destiny were going to be able to visit her. She would be lucky if she even seen them in Diagon Alley. "Well let me know if you can get your parents to let you come." If not she would just stay home and read, that is if she got the books from Evelyn. She did still have torturing Rex to look forward to. "Oh you know I will be telling you guys all about what I do to him." She would rather they were there to enjoy it with her but she would make sure they knew how he suffered if they couldnl't be there.

She couldn't help but giggle a little when Destiny put her face in the mashed potatoes. "Want some gravy for those potatoes?" she asked jokingly. "Maybe I should get Rex to clean up the mess. Start him now on being my slave." Oh yes, she was going to have fun with this.

Evelyn had something to tell them and they were suppose to guess what it was? She wasn't really good at guessing games so she wasn't even going to try. "What did you find out?" It sounded like it might be something really important.

Of course Destiny would let Marie know if she could go over her house this summer. Now that she had her owl back, it would be easier to send letters to people. Not that she really liked to send letters, since that involved writing, and that was something she did not like to do. She gave Marie a thumbs up to let her know she would be letting her know.

If Evelyn was trying to be funny, she failed horribly at it. Right now, Destiny did not look like a genius, she looked more like a potato head.

Lifting her head out of the bowl, she used her hand to try to wipe her face off. It would have been easier to find a napkin, but, she couldn't see at the moment. 'Ha ha, Marie. Very funny.' It was all her fault. If she would have said something about the potatoes being so close to her, Destiny wouldn't have put her head in it. 'And no way would I want Rex to clean me up. That would mean touching me and I might catch his dinosaur disease.' Everyone knew dinosaurs carried diseases, and Rex is a dinosaur. A Tyrannosaurs in fact.

Not worrying anymore about the potato in her hair or on her face, Destiny frowned a bit when Evelyn mention she found out something. 'You found out that I was secretly keeping a spider in the dorms?'

That was not good news, and Destiny had no idea why Evelyn would be so happy about that.

"Yeah I think I could deal with you this summer... if I tried hard enough," she joked and giggled. Dylan was a nice reminder that things would be okay... someday. He had been through the same thing she had and they could help one another through it.

Alexa fought the urge to make a yucky face, swallowed the mouthfull of potatoes and said, "Oh yes, divine." She put her fork down and drained her glass of milk instead. Everything tasted so bland.

Natasha looked at Blake when he said hello, because he seemed to be down. "Yes, you're right." She agreed with him, it was something that usually happened a lot for her. "I'm good," she said with a smile. "How are you?" She asked, but he didn't seem very good.

Natasha looked up when a girl approached the table, and it took her only a moment to remember. It was Helena, it had just been a really long time since she had seen and talked to her. "Hello," she said smiling. But watching Blake and Helena, she wondered if she was interrupting something. Even if she had just been sitting here .

"You think you could deal with me?" Dylan chuckled, "You aren't gonna have a choice. Even if I have to apparate illegally to come and fetch you." He smiled and gave her a squeeze.

He grabbed his fork, and scooped up some of Alexa's mash. He ate it, slowly. "Could do with more butter, and maybe a bit of cheese."

Alexa smiled a genuine smile at her new friend and said, "Well, I can't have you breaking any laws for little old me, but I will certainly love the company. I look forward to you coming around."

Alexa had had enough of the whoole eating thing and set her cutlery aside and simply nodded at Dylan absently. "Could do without the cardboard, in my opinion. I will eat something on the train, maybe," she said and waved her hand as to signal the end of that conversation.

"Little old you?" Dylan chuckled, "Little yes. Old no. I am far older than you. I won't break any laws. I live in a magical household. They won't know it is me that is apparating."

He laughed, "Yeah maybe mashed potato isn't the right thing for you. Cardboard isn't something you should be tasting. Maybe soup might be something better."

Bahaha! Marie seemed more like the genius in the group now. That was a good one.

"How long did you say he was your slave for?" she didn't remember if Marie told them or not. It would be great if it was for the whole summer! That would probably be torture for him. And amusing for them. However, having any physical contact with the Gryffindork was not on the 'to-do' list. Destiny was smart for turning that offer down...

On the other hand though, "You've, never played the 'Guessing' game have you?" she mumbled, raising a brow at Marie before taking roll and placing it on her plate. Juuust about to open her mouth to say what she found out when...Destiny spoke about evil.

There was a spider in their dormitory the entire time? She knew it! She could always feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand up everytime she walked into there! Like something was watching her."And I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." she said, staring at Destiny before chewing on a piece of bread.

"No, that wasn't what I was going to say, and hopefully I will never have to say that." Let that be a warning! "I was going to say, that I found out Lawsguini had a little girl. And they named her Ava." Ava. Pfft. They should've name her Evelyn! Or Destiny. Even Marie was a good name. "Do you think he'd be mad if we corrupted hung out with her when she is older?"

O.W.Ls were over. The exams were over. And the term was over. YAY! Nikki walked into the Great Hall, a slight bounce to her step. She had been waiting for summer vacation since April. She was getting sick and tired of school, and finally it was over! Walking over towards the Slytherin Table, she looked around for familiar faces, spotting two right away. Blake and Helena. Nikki walked over to them and plopped down in the seat next to Blake. "Hi guys!" She said grinning. "Aren't you happy that schools over?"

"Ok then..." She said a little disappointed no one seemed more excited... Oh Well... and she moved back to the staff table.

Carter headed over to the Slytherin table. "Hey." he said when he got to where Evelyn, Marie, and Destiny were sitting. He looked behind him to see if Josh was coming.

Alexa giggled again, feeling her spirits lift moreso and she rolled her eyes at Dylan and said, "Three years older than me is not FAR older, Dylan. You are exaggerating greatly there." She wrinkled up her nose at the potatoes and pulled a cup of french onion soup nearer to her and took a deep breath. She would eat in a moment... maybe.

"Yeah, cardboard is not tasty. What about you, aren't you going to eat? Maybe we could just get a compartment together on the train and I can fill it with sweets and junk," she suggested jingling her money pouch around her neck with a wicked little grin.

Marie couldn't stop laughing as she watched Destiny wipe the potatoes off her face. "Oh alright, here, have a napkin to wipe your face off," she said when Destiny said she didn't want Rex to help.

WHAT!? Destiny has a spider in the dorm room? "Destiny, why would you keep a spider? Don't you know those things bite?" She just knew it was that stupid spider from the slumber party.

"Oh he's got to be my slave for a week. It's gonna be the worst week of his life." Maybe she would have him be her slave for a couple of days at Diagon Alley then finish it when they come back to school. "I will save a couple of days of his duty for when we come back to school if you want me to. Then you two can join in the fun."

Man Lawson was a dad now. Marie looked up at the staff table trying to picture him holding a baby. Yeah she just wasn't seeing it right now. "Ooooh, we could totally teach her how to be evil everything she'll need to know to survive at Hogwarts." Marie would have so much fun teaching the little Lawson everything she knows.

Marie looked up when she heard someone say Hey. A huge smile crossed her face when she seen it was Carter. "Hey yourself." she said as she moved over so he could sit next to her.

Carter took the seat next to her. He looked around. Why did Destiny have potato in her hair? Did she know? Should he mention it? Realizing he was staring he decided to switch the conversation topics. Taking one last look toward the Gryffindor table looking for Josh he said, "So. What;s new?"[/b]

Marie continued to smile as Carter sat next to her. What was it with that boy, why couldn't she stop smiling when he was around? Seriously, people were going to start thinking there was something wrong with her if she kept smiling like that. "Not much new here...well except for Destiny not paying attention to what she was doing so she ended up with potato on her face. I tried to give her some gravy to go with it but she didn't think I was funny." she said looking over at her friend who still had potato in her hair. Marie thought she was funny even if Destiny didn't.

"Oh and Evelyn said that the Lawson's had a baby girl." She said actually happy for them, even if she still couldn't picture Lawson as a dad. She was so going to work on getting Lawson to let them help with her. She needed someone to look up to so it might as well be Evelyn, Destiny and Marie. "So anything new with you?"

Rex sneaks up on Marie and puts his hand over her eyes. " Guess who>" Rex asked her. Hee then slipped away back to the Gryffindor table.

Carter smiled. "Yeah. I was wondering about that." he said. "I was just sitting over with Josh and thought I'd come say hey." he said answering what was new with him. He looked at Evelyn when he said Josh for some kind of indication of what was going on.

"Oh, did she. That's so exciting!" he said. Did that mean they were going to get a new CoMC teacher? "I wonder if they'll make an appearance tonight." Probably not though. Too bad.

Marie was sitting there talking with her friends when all of a sudden someone had their hands over her eyes. 'What the.....' She pulled away in time to see.....REX! EWWW, she had dog germs on her now. "You better run away while you can puppy." Oooohh, she was so going to make that boy suffer, yes she was.
"Well I'm glad you came over." she said with that silly smile on her face again. "Yeah, they named her Ava." She doubted they would see the baby tonight. "Maybe we will see her at the start of term feast when we come back."

Rex walks over to Marie. "Got you" Rex laughed. " Just getting my shots in before I am your "slave" Rex told Marie.

Oh and Rex was back. He was a rather daring thing coming back over to the Slytherin table now. "You may have gotten me this time but it won't happen again." She looked at him, 'yeah, laugh now while you can' she thought. He wasn't going to be thinking it was so funny when she had him doing all the things she didn't want to do.

Looking at the bowl of mashed potatoes by them she got an idea. This would just be a little test run, something to see if he would do what she told him to do. "Looks like it is time for you to start paying up on your debt my little slave. See that bowl of potatoes there?" she said pointing the the bowl in front of Destiny. "It has a hair in it. I want you to take it to Kay's table and bring us back one of their bowls of potatoes....and there better not be anything wrong with the potatoes when you bring them back to us either." If he did anything to the new bowl of potatoes he was going to bring them she would make him pay.

Evelyn would have been paying attention when Carter came over to say hi, when Rex just totally invaded Marie's personal space, and everything else that was going on, but all that was running through her mind at the moment was that little piece of information that Marie said...ruining her life forever.

Spiders BITE?!! She thought they just...ATE people and was done with it! Now she has to be worried about them crawling up and biting her!

She vaguely heard something about Josh being mentioned, but she was too busy staring wide eyed at Marie to even look around for hi- Wait. Was Josh here? At the table? Frowning, she turned her head to look around but, nope. He wasn't there.

Like she suspected. He wouldn't want to talk to her would he...

Taking the napkin off Marie, Destiny finished wiping off her face. It didn't all have to come off, she would get that later. Right now the conversation was about a spider, and they were more important than cleaning off potatoes. 'Whatever suits you.' she muttered to Evelyn. How could she pretend she didn't hear that? After the whole incident in the student garden she wanted a spider, and the one she had found was MUCH better than the one Evelyn had KILLED right in front of her. Poor spider. It was in a much better place now, much better than being in that jar, that's for sure. She frowned when Marie said spiders bite. 'They do not!' Well, they could, but they wouldn't dare bit Destiny. 'At least the spider didn't try to EAT ME! Like that snake Evelyn has.' And it better never try to eat her again.

So, the Lawsonator had a daughter. Destiny was still going to call her Marcus Jr., even though that was not her name. *snicker* 'I LOVE babies!' Which was true. She couldn't wait for her brothers to get married just for that reason. Hang with her when she is older.. 'It'll take forever for her to grow up.. Ooo, but do you think they will let me babysit!?'

Probably not, but she would still ask.

She gave Carter a smile when he came over to the table, but was quickly followed by a grimace when the dinosaur himself came over and touched Marie. 'Gross!' She was now too busy imagining all the germs that were on Marie's face to really pay attention to what was going on.

She knew she was definitely not hungry now.

Oh sure, I will get tou a bowl of potatos" Rex told Marie. Rex brought one of the bowls of potatoes back from Kay's table. "Here you go Marie" Rex said to Marie/ Rex took the hair out of the potatoes before going back to Kay;s table. Rex put a little Texas hot sauce indernath the mashed potatos. " Not to hot for you? Rex asked Marie.
