Violet went down to the Slytherin House Table she dyed her hair black and was wearing a short black dress she sat down at an empty corner and put a muffin on her plate

Evan entered the Great Hall, shivering quite crazily. How cold could it get outside?! He had just gone out for 5 minutes, and he was almost freezing. And he was supposed to have worn pretty thick clothes! He was in serious need of heat and hot soup. He made his way to the Slytherin table quickly and sat down next to some black haired girl he didn't know. He actually wasn't paying attention to whom he was sitting next to, he just wanted warmth!

He forgot their last conversation for a moment with shock and exclaimed "Why did you dye your hair to black?" Uh-uh. He didn't like it at all. And what about the black dress?! What was happening to second years this year, first Kay, now Violet! Weird... Reeaally weird.

Evan raised an eyebrow. Life sucked at the age of twelve? Seriously? He wondered what she'd do when she grew up. "Why does it suck?" he asked just to be friendly. 'Sides, even though he was still angry at her for sticking up her nose in his life, he'd like to help her unless it meant hanging out with her all the time. Because he couldn't, now he had his Marie. Even the thought of her lifted his spirits.

"As long as you don't try to manipulate my life again, it's OK." He nodded and smiled. She really shouldn't feel that bad about it. Although she should understand it was wrong, which she seemed to do.

Seriously, Evan really wondered what was going on in Violet's life that she felt so miserable. Though he knew better than to push it. She'd have got in detail if she wanted him to know. She obviously didn't. "Well, just so you know... I'm here if you need any help." he said right after she said she'd leave them alone. Good girl! She was learning.

Evan smiled at Violet. Was she sincere? She looked so. He didn't think she was able to lie while looking so sad anyway. So maybe he should tell her that they were dating? But nooo, their conversation was still so fresh to let her feel that satisfaction. Instead, he nodded and muttered a "Thanks." at the she'd be lucky to have you. It was still early to tell her she was right from the beginning.

Nicoletta walked down to the Slytherin table. She sat down near a couple people. One of them was Evan. The other, she didn't know. She was wearing a black dress and had black hair.... all gothlike and stuff. And just when Nicoletta was starting to think the world was crazy, it hit her. "Violet?" she asked. Nooo way! she screamed in her head. This school just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Evan pursed his lips to decide what to say to Violet when he saw Nicoletta walk in. He expected a greeting from her, though she greeted Violet and totally ignored him. This wasn't the first time she did this. She had such a tendency, he noticed. Whatever though. He didn't care anymore. He kept himself busy with eating his chicken while he --of course-- listened to them. He wouldn't talk to people who didn't talk to him, but he'd still listen to them. Duh.

Marie ran into the Great Hall hoping to find Evan. She had a huge smile and her eyes were sparkling with excitement. She wanted to tell him all about the race between the Slytherin girls and the Gryffindor boys. Looking around she finally spotted him sitting with......who was he with? Sitting next to him she said "Hey, I've been looking for you, you won't beleive what just happened." She was so excited she almost reached out and hugged him but stopped herself before it happened. No need in getting oters talking if they seen her give him a hug.

Looking at the girl across from him she did a double take. "Violet, is that you? Why did you change your hair and what's with the dress?"

Was that coming Marie? Yes it was! Evan would recognise that blond hair from 100 metres. A smile appeared on his face as he watched her to approach fast. He blushed a little when he realised she almost hugged him, and coughed so lightly into her ear that only she could hear for warning. "What happened?" he asked, his tone matching hers. What could have happened that excited her so much?

It was me and Evelyn against Josh and Carter. I didn't think I would do very good since Josh and Carter are quidditch players but guess what! I beat Josh and tied with Carter and Evelyn." She stopped to take a breath and then remembered about Josh. "We didn't really get to celebrate the victory/tie over the boys though because Josh started jumping on his broom and fell off. He now has a broken arm and had to go to the healer." Silly boy, would he act like that if he lost a quidditch match? Maybe he was just mad because he was losing to girls. No matter what, Marie was happy even if she didn't really win, she still kept up with Carter and he wasn't even on a school broom.

Noticing the look on his face when Nicoletta mentioned fighting she whispered "I'll tell you later..... I promise." Crud, now she had to tell him what happened. She was sort of hoping he wouldn't find out, what if he didn't want a ~~girl~~friend that fought with others. Guess she will find out later when she talks to him about it.

Why bother, was this girl serious? "Maybe so you will have a life that you do like. You can't go around feeling sorry for yourself, you have to make the effort to change things, others can't do it for you." This girl needed more help than Marie could give her if that was how she was going to think. Maybe she should go talk to Lupa, she could probably help her, she is her Head of House.

"Oh ok, just glad I could help." she smiled brightly hoping that mabey they could continue to not hate each other. We've got the rest of the year, hopefully I won't mess with anyone elses life until summer. Ah, what fun it would be to mess with Ethan and Violet (her sister not the other one). Then of course, there'd be plenty of people to bug in France.
