The sound of Evan's voice brought her out of her daydream and back to reality. 'Wow!' was all she could think when she looked up and seen him standing there looking all cute. "Erm, no, you're not late." she said then took a drink of pumpkin juice to try and hide the huge smile on her face. Instantly the butterflies came back and her pulse started to race. Not understanding why she felt this way around him now she took a deep breath to calm herself yet once again. "I had a really great time this morning. Thanks for being a great teacher." 'Thanks for being a great teacher, is that the best you can come up with?' Not wanting him to think she only looked at him as a teacher she quickly added "Do you want to go and explore the grounds with me later, or maybe the castle? I was so busy studyig last term I didn't really see much." Oh great, now he would think she was a book nerd. Then again maybe he wouldn't. All her studying did get her third place in house points, which she was hoping to make first place this term along with helping Slytherin win the House Cup.

Evan smiled. Phew. He wasn't late or anything. He took a spoon from his pasta and chewed it quickly in case Marie asked him another thing. And he was right. She did say something he had to comment on. After swallowing it just as she finished her question, he said "I had fun too. You're a perfect student." with a smile, then eyed his meal. He wanted to go out with Marie, but he was also hungry. Then he saw the muffins. He could survive on junk food, and eat well at dinner. Grabbing a few muffins, he said "Sure. Where do you want to go?" There were a few places he wanted to see too. He couldn't have time from studying last year as well. Hopefully he'd both enjoy outside, be hardworking and play much football this year.

Laughing she said "You can finish eating, we have all day to explore. Besides, I want to go change and get cleaned up before we go do anything." Yes, a shower and clean clothes would be a good thing after the work out she had earlier, especially if she was going to be with Evan.
Oh no, here they come again, the butterflies. Maybe now would be a good time to go shower before she started acting like a babbling fool here. "I can go get cleaned up now while you finish eating, that way we can go do something sooner. Or I will wait for you and we can both go back to the common room together." Finishing her pumpkin juice she knew she really didn't want to leave him there, but she also didn't want him to have to wait on her while she was showering.

He knew he should act and feel normal, but just he couldn't keep the thought of this would turn into a date away. But then again, shouldn't friends go and hang out? They would. And they were friends. Totally. ~~Would a friend think that his friend is pretty as well?~~

Relieved that he didn't mind eating by himself she quickly got up to leave. "I promise I won't take long, I will be back before you know it." Running back into the Great Hall Marie was relieved to see that Evan was still there. She felt much better now that she was showered. She had her hair pulled back and was wearing her favorite green t-shirt and jeans. "I hope I didn't take too long." she said as she sat back down across from him. "So what do you want to do first?" Now she was starting to get a little nervous. Sure, she had spent time alone with him earlier, but that was different. Then they were playing a game, but now, well now she didn't know what to expect.

He slowly got up in a hope that walking with her outside where a lot of people were would do his stomach which was flinched now some good. He then noticed something else. He hadn't thought of any interesting topic to talk. Perfect. For the first time in his life, chocolate failed him. It had prevented him from thinking, and now all he could do was to smile like in Muggle movies when people were at a loss for words. Wince. If he was to stay silent all the time, this would not go well. He had to turn back to his friendly self.

Upon entering the Great Hall, Thalia led her and Cesar to the Slytherin table. She took a seat and let go of his hand. She grabbed an orange and started peeling it open.

Nella walked nervously to the Slytherin Table, trying not to make an eye-contact with anyone, she sat at the far end, she was more light-hearted today,. but she could do with a friend sitting with her.
she looked at the table, there was so many food available, so she helped her self with a red apple, her favourite, that made her smile, because that reminded her of home.

Loretta noticed the new arrival then headed over to where she was sitting." Hi, I'm Loretta, can I sit with you please?" Loretta sounded more courageous then she felt. I'll just leave the courage for the Gryffindors. She thought to herself.

"Sounds good to me!" Layla finished her stack of pancakes and looked at her schedule, "Okay, classes going at the moment: DADA, Divination, Muggle Studies," she grumbled the last one and seemed uninterested at the others. She didn't want to learn about Muggles, bogus 'future telling' OR how to defend against her own spells, "Oh! How about Transfiguration?"
