Elizabeth's jaw hit the floor. She knew there were evil wizard's in the world but not evil enough to kill there own wife. Wait, Lord Voldemort killed his own father so that idea was scrapped. "Ooooo....Not a very nice picture" she said. She was speechless and didn't know what to say. This was like one of those awkward moments you get in thriller movies where a dark secret is revealed and everyone is in a total oblivion.

Alex nodded and looked out the window again. "It's been years, I didn't know my father killed her until my third year." She turned back to Elizabeth and smiled sadly. "He was a death eater, he was ordered to kill her." She told her, not telling the girl that he was supposed to have killed her as well. "When I found that out, his sister ended up killing him." wow, my family really is messed up. She thought to herself, she was glad to be away from them for that reason.

Reese rolled over in her bed to where she was looking up at the ceiling. The mascara that had smeared itself on her face when she cried in the Library was still there, which gave evidence that the Prefect had been crying. She couldn't help it, though! She still thought it was her fault that some people who got injured, got injured because of her. And, it's TRUE. She didn't care what Torin and Chris said.

She rubbed her eyes with her hands, not even minding that her hands were getting mascara on them, and then she lifted her upper body off the bed. Part of her just wanting to go back to napping, the other part of her knew that she needed to do something productive. So, like to good Prefect she was, she pushed herself out of the bed.

"Hello," she murmured to the girl's near her as she headed over to her trunk, not even realizing one of them was her old time best friend.

Alex looked around as she heard a familiar voice say hello and saw her best friend. She sighed, she missed her too much, she was her sister, and she couldn't help but wonder why they had drifted apart. "Hey, Reese." She said softly, wondering if she knew she was there. She looked closely and noticed that it looked like Reese was crying. "Reese, is everything alright?"

Elizabeth smiled weakly. That explained a lot. Wait a minute, Alex's father..... a death eater..... that meant he had something to do with the Dark Lord himself...... Didn't it? "Sounds horrible" she finally replied. She hated her family...... and her name for that matter. Now she hated them even more. "Must've been horrible to find out about that. When I found out about the Dark Lord killing my great Uncle Tom............. I was distraught" she replied. Then she turned to the girl who had just spoke to the two of the them. "Hey" she said.

Alex looked at Elizabeth and nodded. "It was, my life changed after that, that's why Hogwarts is my true home. That's why I don't want to leave." She told her. She listened to her when she said about her great uncle. "I'm sorry, the Dark Lord has destroyed a lot of families. We need to stick together, overcome our loses." She said softly.

Elizabeth smiled a little. Like she was about to be killed herself. "Yep..... When I found out I just wanted him dead but he was already dead, that Harry Potter person got to him before me" she replied.

Alex looked at Elizabeth, forgetting there was THE Dark Lord. "Oh, he was killed by Lord Voldemort? My dad wasn't a follower of his, he was a follower of another dark lord, the one that surfaced a few years back."

Elizabeth had only ever been told of one Dark Lord, the one who killed her great Uncle Tom. "That one I've never heard of. I've only ever heard of Lord Voldemort" she replied. She didn't want to hear of him either but she knew she would encounter him sometime during her life. She just didn't know when, how or why.
