"I don't know! I don't even know why someone would want a life sized hamster ball!" he exclaimed. "And for the last time, I didn't know it deflated!" What wasn't she understanding? He just didn't know. "How could I forget it, you said it loads of times." Like on the train. Parker was sure she mentioned it then, or something like that. "Yes." he nodded. They were idiots. "Ask them for an apple, they bring you an orange." Sometimes it was easier to get what you want by yourself. Parker didn't enjoy that, but if he was hungry enough he would go. "We talk about a lot of things." No, Parker talked, the rat listened. "Owls are stupid and so is that name." She should have named it Parker, even though she was a girl.

"You think what you want. I know what happened." He only remember a few things about that day. It was a while ago. "Oh." That was something he would say. "Don't call my rat stupid." He did remember saying that to her. What did she expect? Him to accept the fact that she bumped into him with open arms? She invaded his space. "You love the rat." She just would never admit to it. Rats made excellent pets and listeners, and she wanted to steal his best friend. "I don't think that, I know that."

What did she say? "What makes you think I," he pointed to himself, "like you?" he pointed to her. Pretty ugly. No, he wouldn't say that, because he knew it was a lie. She was pretty but he wouldn't give her the satisfaction of telling her. "I'm being very serious." He was. He didn't want a girl bothering him all the time, unless it was..No, he wouldn't say. "Yes, I had a picnic with your cousin." He was right! They were cousins. "Why the air quotes? It was a picnic, and I don't want to tell you about it." He would just let her think what she wanted, it was funnier that way. "I knew what you meant, to be honest." Unless she really was checking him out, then he would be wrong right now. "How do you know I don't have friends?" he questioned. He never mentioned that, did he? Of course not, he would ever admit to that. "I wasn't bored." he muttered. She knew, and it made him mad.

"Why!?" he exclaimed. Why did she have to do that to him? She was making him go crazy. "Why would you do it?" he asked in almost a whisper. "Who would I tell!? I have no one!" That was not what he meant to say, but it was said and he couldn't take it back now. He felt his face grow hot once again, and he bowed his head. She made him say things that he never thought he would say. This was bad.

Sorry? He didn't know what to say. Was he supposed to apologize too? Was he just supposed to forget what just happened? He couldn't forget something like that. He would never forget. How could he forget something he..enjoyed? "I think I should just go.." he said as he stood up, still not able to look at her. He wanted to stay, but he didn't at the same time. "You have a boyfriend."

"About what?" Ty asked and sat on the floor. He glanced around the room as well and chuckled to himself. "I have no idea," he said. "But I have a feeling something's going to happen soon,"

"Nevermind," She replied as she got up and smoothed out her dress again. "What do you mean?" She said with her eyebrows raised. What was going to happen? Something good, she hoped.

After walking past the wall three times thinking about the place where Kat's party was being held, and after hearing the 'Pop!' that announced the door's arrival, Adam stepped through into a large room, inhabited by a few people, Kat not one of them. He looked around at the vast space before spotting Tyler and hurrying over to his mate.

"Hey," he said, clutching the pre-sen-ts in his hand.

"Just wait and see," Tyler smirked and smiled.
Hearing a POP sound, Ty knew someone must've walked into their room. He looked up to see Adam walking in. "Sup Ad. This is my girlfriend Lucy," Ty stood up and nudged towards her. Well, he finally got to meet her after a while of waiting.

Kat made her way up to the Room of Requirement looking for Tyler. She knocked on the door three times and clapped her hands. She walked inside and found Tyler. It's terrrorizing time. "Hey Tyler!! I heard you're afraid of - Ooooohh what's this?" She asked as she looked around

"Hey!" Carter said hugging her back. "I heard you made reserve for the quidditch team. Congrats." he said happily. It would be fun to see her at practice... he hadn't really seen her at all this year.

"Yeah. A bit. But that's fun though. That you can hang out. It makes the bond a bit easier and closer being near the same age." Carter replied. He then saw Kat enter and wondered if he should yell Happy Birthday or wait for the rest of them to start.

Marilyn finally found the nerve to look in Rafe's direction, her eyes settling on him carefully. With his pacing and intense expression, the blonde wished she could read his mind. "It doesn't mean I can't be seen with you, Rafe..." She bit her lip, running her fingers through her hair. "...but I am worried he'll hurt Carter. My father didn't come out and say it, but the threat was clear...I know for a fact if he thinks Carter is threatening his pureblood way of life, he'll do worse than kill him."

She turned so that she could lay back on the couch. Crossing her legs at the ankle, she sighed. "And he kept going on and on about how I disrespected Jack and how I should want to please him in any way I can since we'll be married in a few short years." She shuddered, staring up at the ceiling. "And I might have to take you up on that offer...Im sure after what I did, he's looking for me."

Rafe went over the the couch and raised her head and laid it in his lap as he sat down. "Well, I've seen worse things then death and an experienced wizard knows things that can make you beg for death," he said coldly. Rafe had learned a few of those techniques and endured them himself. He began to lightly stroke Marilyn's hair with his fingers.

"You don't have to marry anyone you don't want," Rafe said. "I can make sure of that." It was weird looking back and thinking of how much they had grown up in less than a year. "What if you marry someone before Jack?" he suggested. Marilyn would be the one to defy the odds and marry a muggleborn, especially for love.

"What exactly did you do?" Rafe was very confused at her last sentence. He was thinking of a way to contact his father. Maybe they could arrange a meeting in Hogsmeade. His father said his league was like a "mafia, but with skill and class." Surely he could contribute in someway.

"That's true, though she can be a handful sometimes," Tyler chuckled and heard another POP from the distance.
"Happy Birthday, Kat!" Tyler called out, almost in a laugh because she was going to mention something about being scared of. His eyes narrowed and looked at Lucy.

"Awww you remembered" She ran to Tyler and gave him a deathly hug and then gave Lucy one as well. "I wanna to cry" she said with a sad face "But i'm not gonna" She grinned at Tyler. "So I see you got my friends here" She said looking around. She walked over to Adam and gave him a hug "Hey Adamo" She then walked over to Carter and gave him a hug " Hey Carter" Kat loved hugs!

Carter laughed a bit. Then yelled out "Happy Birthday!" with him.

Carter hugged her back. "Happy Birthday Kat!" he said happily.

"Thank you Carter" She smiled at him. This was the first real birthday party she has had ... well since the incident with her mom. "So how's it going?" She asked Carter.

"Things have been great. I made the team again." Carter replied. "I'll be playing chaser again. How about you? How are things?"

"That's awesome! Congrats" Kat smiled. "I need to make it to more games then" She grinned. "Me? Well things are... Better" She half smiled. things with her mom were still kinds getting to her, but she tried to not think about that much.

" Hello Lucy" Rex told her. " I am glad I was invited to the party." Rex said to Lucy.

" happy Birthday Kat" Rex told her.

"Hi Lucy," Adam said with a grin. Finally, he got to meet her, after hearing about her. She seemed nice, and she was pretty. And her and Tyler looked really good together. He was happy for his friend, and hoped him and Lucy could be friends, too. And hopefully, Tyler would be able to meet Lorelai later.

If she came.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAT!" Adam cried after Tyler, and hugged her back, before letting go and handing her THE PRES-ENTS! He hoped she liked them, but he was no girl.

Okay, easy enough to slip into the room un-noticed. Say happy birthday to the person she didnt know, and then just stand there and not say nothing else. That was kinda easy enough. Lorelai, after getting the door to open after ten minutes trying, snuck in behind people and waved through the small amounts and slipped one hand into Adam's. "Hey, you." She grinned up at him, clutching in her other hand; a card and a voucher book full of Hogsmeade offer vouchers, and free haircuts, free shoe tryouts, pity. It kinda didnt seem that Kat was a girly girly girl. Nothing like Lorelai. Ne'mind. Maybe she'd find comfort in the fact the shoes and clothes werent just for heels and dresses.

"That's fantastic. Wow, I feel like I haven't seen you all year." Carter said. "But I'm glad things are going well. Seems like you and your uncle get along well too."

“Happy birthday, Kitty Kat!!!” Lucy screamed as soon as Kat stepped into the room. Unfortunately, she was saying something about Tyler being scared of spiders, she was sure, but she didn’t get to finish her sentence, and Lucy was glad for that. She looked away as Ty narrowed his eyes at her and went over to hug Kat.
And then Adam, Ty’s friend had also showed up, and she went over to say hi to him. “Hi there Adam, nice to meet you,” She said sweetly. And there was a girl with him as well—hmm. Girlfriend? She certainly looked like she could be his girlfriend. Lucy smiled as her as well and waved. “Hi there! I’m Lucy,” She said and then turned back to Kat and Ty. “So. Are we eating the cake first or opening presents, or what?” She said excitedly.

To Carter, she beamed. "Yeah, thanks, I'm really excited about playing! And congrats to you for making the team as well!!" She said excitedly.

OH PERSON! This was better than having to stay silent. Because Lori and silent went hand in hand in a parallel universe. Maybe a couple of thousand parallels. "Lorelai, Adam's.. bestfriend." Yeah, that sounded plausible, easier on the ears than the big mess that the two were in now.

Lucy looked over as the girl with Adam spoke to her. "Oh, Lorelai? That's such a pretty name!!!" Lucy squealed. "I'm Tyler's girlfriend," She said, figuring she might as well tell her how they were connected. Her connection with Adam seemed reasonable...but somehow Lucy could picture them as boyfriend and girlfriend better. "So what year are you in, Lorelai?" Wow, her name was a mouthful.

"Same here," she agreed with a nod. "But that's just my younger brother for you. He bought it himself you know," Thalia added with a roll of her eyes. Such a stupid thing to do. Why waste your money on a giant hamster ball? "I still have no understanding on how you didn't figure that out but whatever," she shrugged. It was common sense! Come on kid! She smiled in spite of herself. "Yeah, I suppose you're right," Thalia figured with a small smile. An orange instead of an apple? "Okay, maybe you're right," she figured with a frown. Even her grandpa's house elves weren't that stupid. They were smart believe it or not. Her whole family was smart. In some way or another at least. "What kind of things? Do you complain to him about things?" she asked still freaked out by the fact he talked to his rat. Ugh. Weirdness. "If you make fun of the name expect her to make you bleed," she told him with a glare. The name was not stupid. She was not stupid. "Or maybe I'll feed Parker Jr. to her. That's the way the food chain works right?" Thalia smiled. Bye bye Parker Jr.!

"Yeah and you agree with me!" she said loudly. He had been very rude when they had met. Maybe if he was nicer they would actually be getting along. Funny thought right? He brought her snappiness upon himself. "I'll call your rat whatever I want to thank you very much," she snapped. He named it something dumb anyways. It was stupid. "No Parker is not a great name. Why you were named that I still haven't figured out." There were plenty of reasons. His name sort of sounded like Park-Her. Ha ha. That made her laugh at the idea.

"What makes you deny it?" she questioned with a smirk. He was going to fall in love with her remember? She was quite sure he thought she was pretty. "You don't have to like me," she added. It didn't bother her in the least. She didn't like him. "I don't understand how you're being serious!" she exclaimed with a cry. He had to like one girl if nothing! He was going to be getting married sooner than he expected. That's the way it went. "I want to know what you guys talked about!" she pleaded. Maybe Rue would tell her about it. Then again, she would like the opinion from both sides of the party. "The air quotes are meant for 'Was it really a picnic'?" she air quoted again. "Or something more?" It had better not. She didn't want her cousin liking the enemy. "No you didn't. You seriously thought I was checking you out," she argued back. Thalia still would not admit that she did check him out sometimes. She tried her best to make excuses. It was just better that way. "You've told me you had no friend's before." He had sometime. It had been said during one of their conversations. "I highly doubt that. I would personally be bored." Having a tutor would be terrible. She needed other students around for her to focus any better.

"I did it because I wanted to prove a point," she stammered, not looking at him. That she would kiss him and not tell Jude. Not tell Jude. No she wouldn't ever tell him. He would be so mad at her if he found out. "I don't know who you would tell. Just---keep it a secret." She casually over looked his words. No one needed to know about this. What she did could hurt a lot of people and shock others.

Thalia watched as he stood up. She knew that he would probably never want to see her face again. Yes, she did just ruin her own life. "I know that I have a boyfriend. I'll just not tell him. Ever," Thalia whispered the last part. She should get going too. She walked up to him and looked at him. "I'm sorry," she whispered again and pressed her lips against his one last time. Thalia looked back at him with a sad expression of some sort and walked off. Out of the room, she fled the seventh floor and ran to take cover somewhere where no one would find her. Tears she didn't know were falling ran down her cheeks.

"Sorry, I do not think we met" Rex told the girl. " my name is Rex Trigwell" he told the girl.

Way to state the obvious. Of course it was a pretty name. Otherwise, she wouldnt have been called it. Silly Hogwarts students.

"Thank you." She commented, and added on. Just to be nice. "Lucy's a pretty name. I know alot of Lucy's back home. Its a pretty, but common name. It suits you." Which totally sounded like she was calling Lucy common, but she had no intention fo doing so. She just didnt think before she spoke.
