Lucy turned to see that Rex was there as well--how did she miss him?? Whatev. "Hey Rex, thanks for coming!" She said with a wave.

Lucy raised her eyebrows. "You mean you're still not used to it by now? Even though I've probably poked you like a million times by now? And you might even get bruises because of me?" She said, though the last part was not really true. She didn't poke him THAT hard! She watched him rub his thigh as he talked to Carter, and narrowed her eyes. Hmm. She hated it when he got hurt. "I hope she likes it," She said , as she glanced over at the cake they had baked together. Good times, good times.

"I'm kinda used to it but more now since you won't seem to stop," he chuckled and kept pushing Lucy's hand away. "I'm sure she will," Tyler smiled leaned back in the chair. For once, he was actually out of uniform since he always hated them.

Lucy giggled as he pushed her hand away and then ruffled his hair. She wanted to sit down, too, but since he was already sitting down, she sat down in his lap. "Do you liike my dress?" She said as she smoothed out the creases.

Rafe was both disgusted and disturbed. Of course it would be worse for her that her father found out about Carter. It made his stomach churn. It gave him a feeling that she would never leave him for Rafe.

Rafe took in a deep breath. "So what does this mean? We can't be seen together?" Rafe started to pace. He wasn't really thinking about him and her, but just Marilyn. He was worried that she wouldn't be safe.

"Alert the authorities," he blurted out. "If you need extra protection, I know a few guys..." Rafe knew his father would be more than willing to do a few favors here and there.

Alexa grimaced a bit at the mention of Lorcan's name. "Uh, I don't know how he is. If you find out let me know." she said to Lucy before turning away.

As Alexa turned she saw Rafe hollering about something and side stepped away from him with a smile.

Tyler laughed as Luce ruffled his hair next. But for once, Tyler tried to fix it since it was a special occasion. He fixed it a bit and put his hat back on. "Yeah, I really do," he smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Lucy's mouth fell open as she heard what Alexa said. "What?!" She said with a shocked face. "What happened? Aww, are you guys in a fight?" She said with a frown. This was not good--Lorcan and Alexa were the cutest couple.

As she tried to console Alexa, she grinned at Ty and laughed as he tried to fix his hair. "Not messy today?" she said with a giggle. As he wrapped his arms around her, she grinned. "I like your hat," She said as she took it off and put it on her own head.

Alexa sighed and turned back to face Lucy. "We have been broken up since not long after start of term. After I had the Elizabethan episode with the potion and all that. I just had too much going on and so did he... so we broke up. I haven't spoken to him since Hogsmeade." she said with a sad little shrug.

"Aww, Alexa! That's so sad! Can't you guys talk it over or something?" She said sadly. This was actually hurting Lucy because she was used to seeing Alexa and Lorcan together. Perhaps she should have a talk with Lorcan.

Alexa simply shrugged and sniffled a little bit. "I don't know. I have a lot going on and so does he and we have just stayed away from eachother so far. Now he isn't going to be happy about my playing quidditch so I am not sure what I am going to do." she said with a sad look.

Lucy watched as Alexa got a bit teary-eyed. "Aww, this is breaking my heart!" She said with a frown. At the mention of th word Quidditch, Lucy's face lit up a bit. "Oh, yeah! Congrats on making the team!" She said with a grin. "But why will he be unhappy about you playing Quidditch?" She asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.

Alexa's frown deepened and she looked at Lucy and said, "Yeah, it sucks pretty badly, really. But I don't want to talk about this anymore." She shifted uncomfortably and cast a look around the room. THere were too many people around and she didn't want to air her dirty laundry while they were waiting to celebrate Kat's birthday.

"Yeah, thanks. I am looking forward to playing. I am a little nervous though." she admitted.

Lucy nodded her head at Alexa. "Oh, yeah, of course!" She said as she nervously loked around the room. Hmm, not everyone was here yet. Plus, the birthday girl was still missing. Turning back to Alexa, Lucy smiled. "Aw, don't worry. I'm sure you'll be great!" She said. And because she couldn't hol her excitement in, flashed her another smile. "I made the reserve team, so if you need a day off, I'll fill in for you!" She blurted out. Well, can you blame the girl for being happy?

Alexa smiled back at her, lightening up a little at the much needed change of subject. "That is awesome Lucy! We can go down to the practice pitch sometime and try out my new broom. I go a firebolt from my aunt it is pretty awesome." she said, smiling wider still.

"Ahh, yes, that's such a good idea!!" She said, still beaming. "A firebolt?! Oh my God, that's awesome! I'm afraid I only have the Nimbus 2000," She said with a roll of her eyes. Hmm, maybe she should owl her dad so he can get her a Firebolt. Yes, she needed a new broom now that she was going to be playing Quidditch regularly.

Alexa smiled and leaned in a little closer and whispered, "I have another Firebolt at home if you want it you can have it. I have only flown it a few times. My aunt just jumped the gun and bought it when she found out I made the team." She didn't need two Firebolt's.. she also had a Moontrimmer at home and the new Firebolt. It was a bit much.

"As would I," he said with a soft chuckle. "But, you would eventually forget about me... and I will be leaving after this year," he said with a small smile. "But that would just break my heart," he said, lifting his hand to comb it through her long hair again.

"Sounds perfect," he replied quietly, looking directly into her eyes. He had kissed girls before- but nothing had felt this right, this perfect. She seemed to be perfectly happy to remain with him, and he with her. Time would only tell if it was- but for now he was ready to believe wholeheartedly in them.

"Our thunderstorm," he said, as another flash of lighting lit up the room.

"Not today," he chuckled and looked at his bangs. Maybe his mom was right, maybe Tyler did need a haircut. "Thanks, but I think it'll flatten your hair like it does to mine," Tyler smiled and shook his head.

Lucy eyebrows shot up at Alexa's response. "Oh really? Wow, aren't you lucky!! Two Firebolts!" She said with a laugh. "Aw, I couldn't accept something like that!" She said as she looked down as her pink heels.
"You're aunt sounds charming," She added.

Lucy shook her head at him and put the hat back on him. "My hair is already flat, LoverBoy," She said with a giggle. And then she realized she was being real rude. She turned to Alexa and grinned. "Oh, Tyler, this is my friend Alexa. She's a second year Gryffindor," She said to him.

"Why would I have a special room for it?" she rolled her eyes. That would be pointless and stupid. It wasn't even hers! It was Willie's and on some occasions, Ethan's. "If it were outside all the time it would deflate anyhow," she explained. Did he not get that air went into that thing and then cam out very slowly? "No. I won't stop hitting you. I enjoy hurting you physically. Just remember that," she smirked with a nod. If he was as tough as he claimed it wouldn't hurt him that bad. "Are your house elves that stupid?" Thalia asked him confused. Why would he only think his were idiots? She had no clue. She muffled a laugh. "You talk to your rat? About what?" What could a person possibly talk to a rat about? The weather? Homework? It made her laugh again. Parker Yorke, the boy who talks to his rat. "Yes I have a pet. An owl actually. She was an early birthday present. Her name's Lou-Lou," she told him. That owl was smart. It liked to peck people.

"No I didn't!" she exclaimed. "I bumped into you and you said 'Are you blind? Can't you see I'm standing here' and I was like 'Sorry and no I'm not blind' then you started going on and on about your stupid rat." It was all the truth. He made fun of how short she was and she just wanted to hurt him right then and there. "I NEVER wanted your rat? How hard it it to get that through your thick head?" Thalia cried exasperated, throwing her hands up in the air. Now he was just making up random stuff. "That's what you think," she mumbled, shaking her head. It was a reply to both comments.

"Oh that's rich. Considering the fact you like me. You think I'm pretty. Just admit it," pestered Thalia. He had to think that she was halfway decent. Cause when she thought he was attractive she wasn't lying. He never needed to know that though. "Fine. You don't want a girlfriend. Are you being serious though?" She just had a terrible time at believing he did not want a girlfriend. Someone in this school had to interest him somehow. "You had a picnic with my cousin!" she cried with wide eyes. What the hell! Why did people not tell her things anymore. "So how was this 'picnic'?" she air quoted with a uninterested expression. Actually she was very interested and wanted to know every single thing. "Next time you shouldn't assume things before I have a chance," she mimicked changing his words. "No you didn't have friend's. I can see right through that. Sure your tutors may have been intelligent but you were most likely bored out of your mind," she assumed. His parent's probably didn't let him near any kids his age. For fear of their blood being 'unpure' or something.

She just ignored his stupid mocking of her. When she saw his face and the way he couldn't talk she didn't imagine anything different. "Yes I kissed you!" she cried in the horror she was still in. How did this even happen? She was out of her mind. Completely out of her bloody mind. "But I swear you better not tell anyone about what just happened," Thalia threatened, looking at him with a slight redness to her face. Was she seriously blushing?! Around Parker Yorke. The most arrogant boy she had ever met. And the one she had just kissed. At least her speech was regained. Her eyes were still wide. His lips were soft. Urgh! Stop thinking that Thal! You're bloody insane!!

She agreed with him there as she sat on the couch across from him. Her hands were numb too. Her whole body felt numb. She had a boyfriend and did one of the stupidest things you could ever do when your dating someone. Kiss the enemy. Kiss someone who's not your boyfriend. And most importantly, kiss someone who you never want to fall in love with. She couldn't take the kiss back now. It was too late. "I'm sorry," she blurted out after silence. What else could she say? I may have just ruined both of our lives?

Alexa's smile faltered and she knitted her brows. "Yeah, I suppose so. My parents feel the need to buy me lavish things to make up for the fact that they treat me like crap more often than not, if you call that lucky... then so be it. If you don't want the broom that's cool." she said, her voice with an edge to it.

Turning to the guy she said, "Hey, nice to meet you." Then she looked back at Lucy and said, "Uh, yeah so I'll be back later. I need to go take care of something." With that she turned and bolted for the door, disappearing through it as it appeared.

"Well then," he laughed and watched as Luce put his hat back on his head. Ty turned towards the girl Lucy was introducing him to. "Hey, I'm Tyler,"

Lucy was a bit shocked at what she was hearing. She mouth opened a bit as she listened to what she was saying. "Alexa--I--I didn't know! I'm sorry!" She said in surprise, her voice hurt. "And about the broom--I was only trying to be nice! I would love to have it," She said in a soft voice, her gaze faltering. And before she could get up to console her, Alexa had left. Lucy frowned and bit her lip. What had she done wrong? Poor Alexa--she would have to explain to her later.

Lucy turned back to Ty, a frown on her face.

Tyler was fiddling with his laces when he looked up and saw Lucy with a look on her face. She looked sad for some reason. "What's wrong, hun?" he asked and stood up, letting Luce sot on the chair this time. He really needed to stretch his legs.

Lucy shrugged her shoulders and sat in the chair more comfortably since Ty had gotten up. "Alexa. I feel bad for her," She said with a sigh. Then she looked up at the room. "Where is eveyrone," She said, attempting a small smile.
