Next thing she knew, as she sat there listening to conversations, Adrienne noticed Fia come over and squeeze next to Miles. It was nice, seeing them together. Even though she still had no idea what was going on with herself. Which reminded her that she still hadn't seen Phoebus. But then, Riley wasn't around either, so at least she was safe in that regard. That whole situation was just confusing, and it made her wonder if Chloe had as many problems as she did.

But back to Fia, as she heard her last name called out loudly. Laughing, both at the fact that at least, even if Miles couldn't remember her name, Fia sort of could, and that the Hufflepuff seemed happy for her, she turned to the girl. "Yep. I am. It's gonna be interesting." Her mother was over the roof, which actually made her more stressed. "Thank you. And I was teling Miles earlier that I was happy for you guys." Well, maybe not those exact words, but the sentiment had been there.

Oh, so that's what they were for. So people earn house points and earn some type of trophy. Niiice. The trophy was obviously for the house, no way everyone in the house would get one each. It would be just too much. "So, I'm guessing people can lose points just as fast as they earn them, right?"

Mina nodded in agreement. Their house table wasn't the place for certain things to be said. "Wasn't the Cup fun though. I know I had fun and ran into...well, I'll tell you about that late too." she said as she silently scolded herself for almost talking about it. Her cousin was right, she just needed to talk to one of her friends about last year and maybe it would be easier for her to move on from there. "Yeah, my room at the manor was empty most of the summer too. As silly as it sounds I'd rather just stay with my cousin. No siblings to bother and tease me."

It just dawned on her, she didn't think she really told Dal about her family and stuff last year. Well, that would have to be changed. She was going to have to be more open with her friends and maybe she wouldn't fall victim to foolishness and ideas of things that would never be.

Kellen sat down at the Ravenclaw table, fresh from the Sorting Hat and looking around for a face he knew. Not a one. He'd met half a dozen new people between Diagon Alley and the Train, and none of them were sitting at this table. He turned back to watch the sorting and spotted a few still in the crowd, feeling a little knot loosen in his stomach that he hadn't known was there. They could still come here.

It wasn't that he was afraid or anything. Stern's didn't enter new situations with fear in them. It was that he was doing this without his cousin. Chaucer was a Slytherin now, and Kellen was on his own. For a little while. He turned back to the students at the table and went to introduce himself, but the words stuck in his throat.

What? Nerves? I've never been too nervous to speak! Never in my life!

He sat back with a frustrated sigh. Apparently there was a first time for everything.

Owain suddenly remembered a girl in his year introduced herself, "I'm so sorry, Lily, I was miles away."
Annoyed with himself for apparently ignoring her, Owain quickly imagined a song so that he could calm a bit and not let the irritation show on his face. He was very sorry, but was not sure how to make it up to her,
"Did you have fun on the train?" He asked her, determined that he would converse as she had introduced herself to begin with.

Miles smiled and shook his head, "No nothing else is going to happen. That I can promise you." Just like he'd promised Fia. A smile came over his face as he thought of her and he had to pull himself back into the conversation. He watched as she sat beside him and nodded, "Sure are. We'll get it this year." He smiled and drummed his fingers lightly on the table as he looked at the Huffie table in search of Fi.

His eyes caught on the younger Ravie as he smiled and then hearing his explanation shook his head. "You won't. Not here. We're all here for the same reason. And I'm serious. If someone does bother you just let me know. We'll sort them right out in a jiff," he grinned and drummed his fingers again on the table as he searched for her. Where was she.

And then....EUREKA. Hearing a familiar voice he looked around and spotted Fia coming toward them. His grin widened and he leaned against her as she sat down beside him with her arm around him and her head on his shoulder. Smirking he kissed her head and then looked at Shoe Girl as Fia spoke to her. "Yup we're going to be unstoppable this term. You Huffies should watch out," he teased lightly.

He tilted his head a bit to look at Tyler not minding one bit and he nodded, "Exactly so on your best behaviour eh." He laughed and waved his hand casually, "You earn points for homework, class participation...a bunch of stuff...and you can lose points for a bunch of stuff too so my philosophy is...just behave and do your work." Leaning his head behind Fia's and closer to Tyler's he smirked dropping his voice to a whisper, "Or don't get caught."

"Oh Hello!" she said, "It's no problem, I was talking to Jude anyway Yeah I sat with Isabella whom now as she glanced along the table she couldnt see. "Did you?" she said with a smile.

Jude nodded. "I'm a transfer student as well, and 15 as well but I'm starting as a fifth year as per request from my father." he explained in a soft voice, his accent still apparent.

"Ireland? It's supposed to be really beautiful there. I'd love to get the chance to visit sometime."

Lori giggled a little bit and she nodded, as she brushed a hand through the curls in her hair. "Journals are cute..." She commented, randomly as she looked around at all the other people crowding round this table. "I've been absolutely fantastically perfect, in every way shape or form. Oh, Alicia agreed. Jake just grunted and went back to watching TV. But his grunts always mean yes. So I can go, that is. . . if the offer still stands." But it had to, she was LORI.

"How was the rest of your summer? Did you go shoe shopping? Or shopping?"

"Lucky for some eh? " Lily laughed. "I should be starting my 5th year but instead I'm enrolled as a first year because the cirriculum is different and my mother doesnt think i'll do as good in my O.W.L's silly woman." she smiled. "Ireland is pretty yeah , absolutely freezing but and it doesnt nothing but rain" she said as she glanced out the tall windows and saw the sun streaming past the tall towers of Hogwarts Castle.

"I guess so," Annie said, taking a strand of hair and started to play with it, kind of nervous.

She smiled wide as Lori said her parents had agreed to let her go to Cordoba. "Of course the offer still stands, I never let go of any of my promises, but this year we have to start on your Spanish lessons, basic questions...etcetera..." Lol, Annie was going to have loads of fun spending her summer with Lori.

"Yea the cup was beyond fun. Oh yea! My brother has actually yelled at my parents over the summer! That was surprising. He usually agrees with their pureblood ways. But then he yelled at them and we became closer. Have I ever mentioned he is my twin? I hope we get closer here at school too. He's over there with his friends at the Slytherin tables."she said pointing."But he is a Ravenclaw like us. I'm going to stop talking now. Sometimes I do this, talk really fast and stuff." Yup, she did do that. It was very rare, but she did it at the last feast to so I guess she would do it for the start of term feast for the rest of her years at Hogwarts.

Adrienne grinned as Miles promised her nothing was going to happen, feeling even more like he was her brother at the words. "You know I'm gonna hold you to that promise, right?", she teased him, evenas he drifted off into his thoughts. Just because she wore heels didn't mean she couldn't be a force to be reckoned with. Some people knew that. And as Miels came back to the conversation, she nodded. "We better." Or Willow's spirit was going to come back and haunt them, even though she was sure the former captain wasn't dead. She'd still find some way to haunt them if they didn't reclaim the titles.

And then he felt the need to respond to her and Fia's conversation, and all she could do was laugh. She'd been thinking it, but wasn't about to say it. Except maybe to Torin when she went over to annoy him.

Lori's smile drooped to a bit of a grimace, and her eyes widened. "Another language? But I just about know my english. What if I cant do it, will you just talk fooooorrr meeee? I'll love you foreverr."

Totally forever. "Are there shoe shops there?" A must have.

"Awwwwwww! That's so sweet, Mercer! I didn't know you had it in ya," Fia wrinkled her nose to the funny she just made. "And thank you very much, Mercer," she loved using the girl's last name because...well...it was her name and the name that she picked just for...MERCER.

Her eyes looked up at Miles and she smiled. She really was happy to be back with him, realizing exactly how much she missed him.

Fia then looked up to another student she'd never met and he was speaking to Miles. COOOL! She smiled at the young lad, making sure to keep her attachment to Miles as he seemed to be answering questions.

"Awww. My Prefect Miles," Fia grinned as she listened to how sweet he was to the new students. That was great! He was spectacular and she loved him dearly.

She giggled as Miles told her...and all the Huffies...to watch out and there was only one thing she could say to that. "Well, I'll be watching you...my favorite past-time." He was soooo cute at helping the other students and well...she needed to cool her happiness at the moment but she couldn't do that.

Jude nodded as the girl explained herself. He remembered that O.W.L.s were indeed this year and this made him a bit nervous. Was the curriculum going to be the same as it was in Australia.

"Yeah, I'm going to have to bear with the cold when winter comes." Jude said thinking of the fact that he had actually received a winter coat for his birthday from one of his mates.

Keeley skipped over to the Ravenclaw table, now in her uniform, but she had added a fedora hat and fuzzy leg warmers and of course some red clogs. Well, at least she was unique. She plopped down next to Bella and started watching the firsties being sorted, clapping whenever a new Ravie came. But of course, her friend was reading again and she knew not to pull her away from a book, so she looked around for someone else to talk to, wishing she was more social.

"You'll be fine, a bit of snow never hurt anyone, even if you are used to Christmas on the beach. My sister Penelope , she used to go here - she told me that theres a huge chrsitmas tree thats decorated by magic and the feast's massive!" said Lily then realised she was talking about food and stopped. Her usually alabastor skin tone had now turned a light pink.

"Well, if lessons, basic ones don't work, I guess I'll talk for you, it'll be a pleasure...though you gotta try, so we must start..." Annie said, taking a sheet out of a notebook and writing down the phonics for every alphabet letter in Spanish. "This is the basic, learn this...and the rest will be a piece of cake..." She said, handlilng the piece of paper to Lori.

And about shopping, shoe shopping. "Umm, I bought these convers and some skirts before entering school" Annie said, not really pleased Diana had chosen her skirts. Some of them had pink on them. EWWw.

"Totally, a mall and everything..." Time to remember her first date.

Mina smiled at her friend. They were very much alike and it was very funny. Reaching over, she patted her hand and smiled. "You do know I'm just like that too," she giggled. "Once we are in our dormitories, you'll see me talking fast and rambling on and on." She really was a rambler herself and it was comforting that some of her friends were the same way. She just had the feeling this year would be different for her. She would build on the friendships she made last year, make new ones, and break out of her shell even more. Yes, that's what she was going to do for sure.

Glancing from table to table, her eyes stopped at the Gryffindor table. She was looking for a certain person, but if anyone did ask she was looking for her friends. She did have a few friends that were Lions and she did want to talk to a few of them. Maybe she would venture over a little later.

Rex saw Mina. " How are you?" Rex asked Mina. " I like you being part of "The Magical Five" Rex told Mina. " Do you know Victoria Jamieson?" Rex asked her. " I just found out that we are half brother and half-sister because of our father who is a dirtbag" Rex said to Mina.

The sorting was still going and Allison still had her nerve jitters. The trip on the train had been eventful. And now she was finally where she belonged--with the Ravenclaws.

However there was a tinge of sadness in her eyes. Her two best buddies Arya and Anastasia had been sorted into Hufflepuff. And she hadn't met many Ravenclaws either. She was scared and terrified that she would never be able to make more besties.

Playing with her robes Allison looked around at all the older kids at the table. They all looked confident and were having so much fun. Looking shyly down Allison blushed. She didn't have the confidence to speak.

It wasn't that Ian was CONFUSED.

Except he totally was, because there were so many questions fluttering inside his mind that he was feeling just a little bit dizzy. Like, for instance, what did being a Ravenclaw stood for? Was Ravenclaw was the house for the undetermined, for the kids that didn't really fit in any of the other houses? Then again, back when dad explained told him about the houses, Ian could not recall his father saying anything about the undetermined folk. Or maybe he did and Ian could not remember.

Maybe tuning him out and thinking his father ought to get a hobby hadn't been a really smart thing to do.

Another question? WHERE ON EARTH WAS COLBY? His brother should BE right next to him right now, answering all these questions, because of the two of them, COLBY was the one who LISTENED. Besides, Ian wasn't sure if he would be entirely TOO comfortable with Colby being in another house. What if the bigger kids started to pick on him? Kids bigger than Colby, that is, because Colby pretty big himself. And if they picked on him, who would protect him? Not that Ian had EVER protected his brother but one could always start.

Uh-huh.

Maybe he shouldn't HAVE drifted off and tried to figure out exactly how many girls were at th great hall. It had been a stupid thing to do - there were entirely TOO many females.

Which reminded him -not that girls had anything to do with his next question, but Ian sometimes had trouble understanding his own train of thoughts-, was he allowed to eat yet??? Not EVERYONE was at the table yet and mum had taught him that it was proper to wait for everyone to take seat before starting to eat.

Then again, Ian was aware he was not very proper himself.

Decisions, decisions.

Kellen looked over at the girl who'd just sat down. She was staring at her hands and not looking at anyone. Maybe it was the heavy Slytherin influence of his family pushing him to take advantage of her silence and dominate the conversation, but maybe Ravenclaw's influence was already starting in on him and he was being nice. Who knew?

"Hey." He had to put his hand on the table and wave it up at her so she'd see it, "Is this your first time here too?"

Kellen looked over at the other new arrival, and from the way he was staring at the plates it wasn't too hard to guess what he was thinking, "Any idea when we can start?"

Miles laughed as Adrienne teased him and nudged her, "Sure thing. Trust me if I break that promise I don't deserve her." If he broke his promise...well no if...he never would beak that one.

Miles looked at Fia and smiled as he leaned in and kissed her. "Your favourite past time eh?" He laughed and wrapped his own arm around her giving her side a squeeze. This was going to be a good term he could feel it. Turning back to Shoe Girl he smiled, "So how was your summer Adrienne?" Okay so he had to have known her name he did play Quidditch with her but it was just more fun calling her Shoe Girl with those SHOES. He glanced at Fia and hid a smirk as he saw what she was wearing...okay so maybe those shoes weren't all bad. Hmm...
