Damien looked between the two, a worried frown on his face. Is it really red? he asked, turning to Sabel for confirmation. He hadn't been hit that hard had he?? What was he gonna do if he had to spend his first week with an eyepatch?! He might be able to pull it off, but it would still look ridiculous on him. He shifted nervously waiting for a reply.

"Yo." Ian greeted Kellen's friend with a nod of his wild head. Sabel Dakest was his name, apparently. "I'm ... well, I do have a name." Leaving it there and unabashedly grinning, Ian helped himself with a lot of desert.
But then, then ... Whoa.
Whoooooaaaa.
Suddenly, there were a whole lot of girls and other people that Ian didn't remember meeting (or maybe he just forgot having done so) and he found himself struggling to keep up to whatever it was that they were rambling about.
He only caught snippets of it, really; someone called Bunbury not liking anyone, people dying (insert shudder here), merpeople invading the school (insert another shudder here), and finally ... Lord Voldemortist.
Ian deduced he should be scared, but he could hardly do so as he ate, so he saved the panic attack for later.
Hmmm. Oh. Lunatic Quidditch person was talking to him. "Uuuh." What had they been talking about? Head tipped to one side, Ian studied Quidditch girl carefully. He had, of course, not missed the fact that SHE had a badge. Would she be the type to put protective charms on it? Ian was also very much hoping girly thought the reason of all the staring was because he thought her pretty and not because she could SEE through his plans. So, in order to help himself, Ian half-way smiled at her. "That's a really nice badge you've got there ... I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name." Smoooth.
Dad would be proud. Well, not if he KNEW his real intentions, but whatever. Focusing on the OTHER older girl with the biggest badge of them all and reaaally nice and glossy hair, hmmmm ... FOCUS. "Not when I'm being bossed around by them." Ian's smile was just a tad foolish, but he was unaware of this. Head Girl Lady was real pretty, and she reminded him of those extremely pretty and unattainable and dangerously deadly asian girls in the muggle movies were people were always fighting in a ways he could only dream of doing. Martial art movies!
It also didn't help that she was older.
... WHERE was Colby? Ian liked sharing these things with that clown he had for brother. "Oh, I'm Ian. Ian McKensie," the boy announced loud enough for Head Girl Lady to hear. And everyone else on the table, too, for that matter.
Who CARED if little psychopath Allison was still on the table, huh? THAT didn't seem to matter anymore.

"Wounded upon the feild of battle he was. Can you not see the damage done to his eye? The red, bloodshot gaze he now gives each he looks at? I fear, we may have to take him to the infirmiry and tell them that a foam projectile has brought him to their hard beds and white walls."
Glancing over his shoulder he stole a quick smile at Kellen before looking back at Damien, his tone becoming serious. "You do have medical insurance, right?"

Guilty as charged, "Actuallllly. Yes I'm quite a fan of those ancient comics. Nothing like good old retro muggle television." A bit embarrassed Allison noticed she enjoyed Sabel's company. A shame he was Gryffindor really. Had he been a Ravenclaw he'd have taken the hero title next to Cela's Heroine spot.
Before she could comment any further into Batman and Robin Allison heard Sabel mention Kellen to Arya, "Poor?" She looked at the boy Sabel was now half-embracing? Well no, he was sort of just showing him to Arya. The boy stood almost at Allison's height and looked just as young. However something about him did not scream first year. And his eyes was actually in perfect conditions.
But seeing as Allison did enjoy a good joke as long as it wasn't in her expense she played along, "Oh noes. Sabel do you think they'll be able to fix him up?" She was NOT doing this for Kellen, he was a meanie. But Sabel was friendly...and totally cool.
Giving the boy (Damien) a sad look Allison shook her head, "May Merlin...not your kitten Sabel, lend his wisdom to our Healer and save your..." Allison cruelly winced at the boy's eye, "eye." When caught off-guard her lying was poor, but when in good fun she could bring up some hidden acting skills inherited by her grandmother. Allison then quickly mumbling, "If you can call that bloody thing an eye."

Kellen heard Icoguy finally declare his name to be Ian, but most of his attention was on Damien and the overwhelming enthusiasm of the other three in telling the boy his eye was practically the consistency of ground beef. He saw no need to add any more to the words already swirling around Damien's head, unless he was specifically asked. He was the instigator, after all, a role he'd found himself in completely unintentionally many times before, and from being an instigator he'd learned one important rule:
Victoria walked into the great hall and headed to the Ravenclaw table, she looked up and down the table looking for her friends.
" Hi, how are you, mam?" Rex asked Victoria. " Glad I saw you today. mam" Rex said to Victoria.

He liked Birthdays maybe someone would remember that his was on the 26th September. "I didn`t get you anything special, but wanna see it anyway?" he asked. He had it in his pocked
LIVVYYYYYYYY..... He waved to her. Then he saw the badge. Head girl. Now this was just unfair. Barry`d been left out . Yeah he didn`t deserve it but he wanted it! "So your head girl" he said plainly. Ok that wasn`t very nice "Um... how were your holidays?" he asked.
Barry saw Rex and smilled "Hey!" he called out to Rex. He was happy to be part of his club.
" Well hello Barry" Rex told him. " Nice to have you part of "The Magical Five' sir" Rex said to Barry. " The five will be hanging out together around school,sir " Rex explained to Barry.
She turned round when she heard her brother's voice, "Hey bro, are you excited about your first day of lessons?" Then she heard Bella "Hey Bella, how are you?"

Or maybe it was so bad he wasn't thinking straight and just thought he was fine. Could be a possibility. "I'm not sure if I have medical insurance.. he replied, looking uneasy.

He was no good at elaborate schemes, never was. Hmmm. Then an idea hit him. Giving a small smirk to Sabel, he plastered worry back on his face and turned to Kellen. You know what? I dont feel so good..Are there supposed to be white spots dancing around this hall? he questioned, putting a hand to his head.

Maintaining the worried look on his face with the greatest efforts not to crack a smile or laughter, Sabel watched Damien with interest. The small smirk had told it all like black ink spilt over pure white parchment; he had found them out. No doubt it had been the tone of Allison and Arya, and their giggles, which didn't exactly speak to the 'you need to go to the emergency room right now'. Normally didn't, anyways, unless they were a little strange in the head, which, he reasoned, they all were to an extent.
He had to admit, he had no idea what Damien was doing, but he had obviously developed some sort of plan. Whether he himself was going to be involved in delivering it or suffering the consequences, Sabel wasn't too sure, but he was beyond curious. So, he played along and gave Damien's shoulder a sympathetic squeeze, turning his eyes to Kellen. One thing was for sure; it was going to get interesting.
Emilia walked up to the Ravenclaw table. Scanning the length of it she noticed Damien as well as Kellen sitting with the rest of their friends. She walked towards them, noticing that they seemed to be in a deep discussion about something.
"Hi guys, what you talking about?" she asked, sitting down across from Damien.
Damien looked at him, sheer horror on his face. Was his eye really that bad?? He could see just fine..right? Testing this, he covered one eye then the other. Bella cast another eye towards the staff table, looking at all the new faces there. Sighing she picked her fork and started to dig into the food she had recently set in front of her, thinking. Bella herself hadent made many friends while at school. She hoped this year things would change, she would make at least two new friends. With this new happy thouht in her head she smiled, taking another bite of her pie.

"So they had been talking about her." she thought, as she looked more closely at Damien, concerned for his well being. It was her fault that she had hit him in the eye but it had been an accident. She studied his eyes closely, comparing the two of them. The one looked a little redder then the other but it would be alright by tomorrow.
"His eye looks all right to me. I think it has to be that he hasn't eaten." she replied. "Plus if he has eaten, the food won't hurt him, it looks like he needs it." she spoke sarcastically, looking away indifferently. They deserved the jab back at them.

What's up with my mind? I can't let her get on my nerves! She's not worth it." He muttered as he grabbed a plate and piled it with whatever he could grab first. French Fries. Not bad. Sighing heavily, he kept on stuffing each fry in his mouth one after the other and smiled. Food is always good!

So, deciding to have a little fun with him, she murmured a spell as she took another slow sip of her juice, then made sure her face didn't betray anything as a tendril of her power snaked out to prod his thoughts. Grinning as it seemed he wasn't about to argue with her defense of Willow as not a tree, she let her train of thought wander a bit, even as he stared at her oddly. Hmm, interesting. Kellen saw Sabel squeeze Damien's shoulder, and tried to read Sabel's eyes for a response. They were completely neutral, and Kellen gave an inward sigh. If only Damien had been facing him! He was almost positive that Damien knew what was going on now, what with that girl giggling and Allison's dramatic invoking of Merlin, but there was still a chance the boy was oblivious...
No. No, better to play it safe, but Damien still needed an answer and Kellen's brain was working overtime when Emilia arrived and brought his answer with her. It wasn't the best answer, and even as he said it he felt rather like Chaucer flying by the seat of his pants, but it would do in a pinch.
"Elric's seeing white spots. I think it's because he hasn't eaten anything yet." Kellen shoved a tray of assorted food in front of Damien, "We were worried his eye looks a little red, but maybe we're just overreacting. Would you mind having a look and saying what you think?"
Damien went cross eyed looking at the food so close to his face. He inhaled the aroma. Mmmm fresh bread, and it was still steaming! He finally noticed how hungry he actually was. Looking around he took in the sight of all the food. This was heaven! He turned back to the food Kellen held in front of him and took a roll. Bitting into it he listened as Emilia talked. When had she gotten here? He couldnt remember. Food did that to him sometimes, ok...most times.

Shaking his head in amusement at Damien's sudden fascination and distraction from the topic at hand with a simple offering of food, Sabel finally let the smile cross his face, clapping Damien on the back as he stood. The kid was a good sport.
He gave Emilia a small wave of greeting before flashing Kellen a grin that said it all; it had been fun, and a job well done. He gave the group a parting wave as he pulled his foot cautiously over the bench. "I'll be back in a little while guys. Should probably socialize a little bit more at my table." He cast Kellen a pointed look with a grin. "Don't have too much fun."

He called him sir. Barry had never been called sir before. Was he getting old? No it couldn`t be. How could Barry Weasley , 17 years old be getting old. But he had to check in the plate just to be sure.
He wasn`t old. Thankgoodness. He had 30 years before he got really old. Barry looked to Rex and said "Could you not call me sir, please? I`m not that much older then you lot. And yeah if you want me to help with the magical five just ask, I`ll be free to help."

Livvy was really crowded he didn`t even know if she knew everyone she was talking to. "Good." he said about the badge. It wasn`t something he wanted to talk about. " They were good, went to the worldcup and that. Its better being back"
Then Barry remembered something. Livvy was a seventh year girl. He had the strangest urge to ask her if she`d kissed a boy but didn`t. It would be saved for when he was alone with Livvy.
"Err... your enjoying the attension then" he commented on the people around her. He felt sort of awkward around her.

Just as she trailed off, her nose tickled again. She couldn't help it--she sneezed. Hard. Right into her plate. Mashed potato went flying, landing in her hair, on her robes, and on Vashti's cheek...
Vashti opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Helena sneezed right into her plate full of food, sending the mashed potatoes flying. On reflex, Vashti turned her head and felt some of the mashed potatoes splatter on the side of her face; some of it fell from there onto her shoulder and in her hair.
When she assumed the shower of mashed potatoes was over, she turned back toward Helena and wiped some of the mashed potatoes of her cheek. Looking at her hand and seeing the mashed potatoes there, she started to giggle.
"Whoo! That was one heck of a sneeze there, Helena," she giggled, grabbing a napkin to wipe the food off her hand. "You okay? Need a tissue?"

He liked Birthdays maybe someone would remember that his was on the 26th September. "I didn`t get you anything special, but wanna see it anyway?" he asked. He had it in his pocked

"You got me a present?" Cela's eyes lit up. "You didn't have to, thanks so much!" She waited, barely stopping herself from bouncing in excitement.

By now she was practically hyperventilating in her seat.
Presents were so exciting!!
