Bella Chloee Lovegood reached the great hall doors and skipped into the great hall. Ah good memories of her first year. Bella then walked over to the Ravenclaw table, the house table she was in, and sat down near some other kids at the table. She then got the book “pictures that changed Canada” that Emily had given her, out of her bag and started to look at all the pretty pictures and read all the fascinating details. Emily had a very good choice in books.

Bella than began to wait for the others to come and for the feast to begin- she did speed skip to the great hall

When Lily imagined her first day of school she never pictures to be sitting with a group of students from various years. She imagined each year to keep to themselves and for older pupils to shun younger students like in the tv shows and books she'd read as a child but in reality, she preferred this a lot more.

Adrienne grinned at how seriously animated the younger boy was. Prefecting seemed to be working for him, really. he didn't seem half as nervous as she felt half the time, and she wasn't prefect. "You're welcome. You know I didn't like how down you were before." Even though she barely knew him, really. She still considered him a friend, even if his name for her cracked her up. But then he'd noticed her badge, and she glanced down at it before looking back at him with a smile. "Yep. I must have made some sort of impression on Professor Vindictus last term. And I hope so. We need to get back on top." Because something had seriously gone wrong last term, and it bothered her. But new term, new chance.

Jude walked into the Great Hall for the first time, not as a first year but as a transfer student from Australia. He had lost his friend James Carter in the hubbub of everyone getting off the Hogwarts Express and into these carriages that were led by skeletal horses.

He made a mental note to ask his friend what those creatures were because he had never seen anything like it before when he was back home. With a sigh, Jude shoved his hands into his pockets and browsed the table to look for a place to sit. He chose a spot away from students hoping not to draw too much attention to himself because he did not feel like answering a million questions of who was he, why was he here, and what was his past life like.

Mina smiled and waved to Lily. "Nice to meet you. I'm second year myself and it's still a bit breath-taking to me." she said. She remember the first time she had stepped into the Great Hall and was in awe of it. Truth be told, she was still a bit in awe of it all even after last year.

Looking back at Miles, she shrugged. "I'm doing great, now that we are back at Hogwarts," she smiled brightly. She did feel a little more whole being back after all. "No issues of yet, but I will be sure to tell you if any arise." she added with a nod and laugh. She really did like meeting new people and she was meeting far more this year compared to her first at the rate she was going.

From the corner of her eye, she noticed a new person. Turning she waved to him. "Hello. you know we don't bite or anything." she teased.

Just as Mina looked down the table, she noticed another friend. She stood up a little and waved to her. "Hey Bella." she smiled and motioned to a seat near them.

That's good. I think you should keep it to cuz its very unique and interesting." It really was and it was pretty sweet to. She couldn't wait until class started so she was all jittery. She couldn't wait!

Lily got up from where she had been sitting previously and made her way towards the boy sitting a little further up the table. "Could you please tell me where the nearest bathrooms are?" she said with a smile then laughed out of sheer embarassment. "Sorry, I didn't want to interupt back there so I thought I'd ask you."

Miles smiled at Adrienne and nodded, "We...worked things out." He looked around for Fia wandering if she was at her table or not. He'd go over there but...Prefect and all he felt an obligation to stay here with his housemates. "Well congratulations. You me, Celandine, and Livvy...we'll sweep for sure this year." Smiling he moved over giving her enough room to sit down and watched as everyone was getting to know each other. Fantastic.

Owain snapped out of his reverie as the prefect introduced himself, swallowing nervously and hoping he wouldn't turn red, he shook the offered hand. "I'm Owain ap Peredur," he managed so say, before swallowing again, "Nice to meet you.
Is there anyone I really should be scared of?" Owain managed a geniune smile.
From the corner of her eye, she noticed a new person. Turning she waved to him. "Hello. you know we don't bite or anything." she teased.
Owain laughed, he thought this would be the case but was always nervous about speaking in front of a large group of people. "Sorry," he said, "I'm not very good at intergrating myself with crowds of any size..."

Tyler nodded. There was something that was itching his mnd, so this might as well be his opportunity. "Hey Miles, what's the deal with those big hourglasses that have different colored sand in each one?" At his old school, they sure didn't have those. There weren't houses like these, or nice people for that matter.

Miles looked at the boy who appeared very nervous thoughtfully and shook his head, "No...why would you think that?" This was odd why would the kid be scared of anyone. "And if anyone does decide to bully you, maybe Slytherins, for whatever reason you tell them you have a Prefect for a friend," he said with a nod and a small wink. And this Prefect had friends in high places though...only Fia knew that.

Turning toward Tyler who spoke he looked toward the front where the staff table was and smiled, "Oh those? Those are how we keep tally of House Points. You see at the end of term the house with the most points wins the House Cup and of course a terms worth of bragging rights," he said with a laugh. "The blue one is obviously ours, the red Gryffindor, the green Slytherin and the yellow is Hufflepuff."

Adrienne smiled again as Miles went straight to what she had been inferring. Smart boy, but then, he was a Ravenclaw. "I see. Well then I guess I just am gonna have to make sure nothing else happens, now won't I?," she teased, as if he was a younger brother. But then, if she could pretend Torin was her brother, why couldn't she do the same with Miles. Besides, she liked Fia, even though the girl didn't quite understand shoes. She couldn't expect everyone to. "Thank you," she said, taking a seat as he helpfully provided one for her. Plus, then she got the other prefect verified for her. "We really are kind of unstoppable, aren't we?" And if they could get all the new students to participate, even better.

Jude looked up rather abruptly at the girl who had come to ask him where the bathrooms. He had absolutely no clue and with an embarrassed look of his own and with his Australian twang he replied, "Sorry sheila, I'm new here meself. I've not a clue left from right at the mo'."

"Oh right, thanks anyway " laughed Lily - she'd just have to wait until the commotion happening further down the table had calmed down a little. "Cool accent by the way - Aussie accent wins hands down against all others" she smiled. "Everyone here seems really friendly that I've encountered so far so I wouldn't worry about being new"

Jude grinned widely at the girl. "I'm glad you like it then." he said.

"The name's Jude Harrison, and you are?" he asked holding out his hand for the girl to shake. He knew that it was rather oldfashioned but that's just the way he rolled.

Mina turned her attention back to Dal. "Tell me about your summer, I don't want to bore you with hearing me talk." she smiled. She mentioned the two huge events of her summer earlier. Well the two huge events that she didn't mind everyone hearing, she still did have other eventful moments but again she would have to wait to tell her friend more up in their dorm.

Owain's smile grew bigger at the word "friend"..
He decided to explain himself, "It's just there were a few kids back home who would pick on me is all. I think theu were muggles though but really don't want to go through anything like it again."

"I'm Lily , Lily CLearwater" she said reaching across the table to shake his hand. She liked Jude, he seemed an open and nice person. She shook his hand and smiled. She was enjoying this day more and more as it passed.

On the train, Annabelle had learned a lot about Kendra, and the other way around. She was so glad she had made at least one friend. Then a feeling of dread came into her stomach: what if Kendra was put in another house than her? She would soon find out, she thought, as Hagrid, the tall, half-giant game-keeper that her dad had told her about shepherded all the first years into the castle. One of the professors took over from there, leading them into the great hall. It was crowded with people, giving Annabelle the shivers. What if she gets put in Slytherin? She thought, that same feeling of dread coming back. Kendra noticed her tensing up and elbowed her gently, "Hey, it's gonna be alright." Annabelle couldn't help but think the opposite. Soon, she was walking up to the sorting hat, thinking the worst. "Ah, a clever one, I see. You'll have to be put in RAVENCLAW!" The hat bellowed the last word out to the whole school, sending the Ravenclaw table applauding loudly. Annabelle smiled, that's the house her dad was in. He'd be so proud; oh, and guess what else? Kendra was put into Ravenclaw too! So far, her life at Hogwarts was working out just the way she had hoped.

Dalanie jumped when she heard a voice, Mina's voice. She listened and said,"My summer. Uh... I played Basketball and football. I went swimming and the quidditch world cup. I stayed in my room most of the time, my stupid mansion room. That's only what I want to tell you here. I'll tell more in the common room."

She couldn't wait to tell her about what happened over the summer. It was so awesome. And her past of last year, that was freaky. And the solution to all of that, how to get away from that life, even freakier.

Okay, so Lori was ALREADY bored of sitting alone at the Hufflepuff Table. AND she had spotted Annie, so she could go keep her company right? Annie would like that. Who wouldnt enjoy her company? NAME FIVE. I DARE YOU. Her heels clipped, and her heels clopped on the floor as she headed in Annie's general direction. Of course she had to pass a LOT of people as she did so, but that was better for them.

"Aaaaaaa-nieeeeee." Lorelai sang, as she dropped into the seat beside her, a grin etched on her face. Her legs swung under the table and she giggled. "Whatcha dooo-ingg?"

"Lily Clearwater. My, your name sounds so poetic for some reason." Jude said without even realizing that he had actually said it outloud. He felt his face flush and he gave a little apologetic look.

To get another conversation started, Jude asked Lily, "So, erm what year are you?"

Fia walked up to the Ravenclaw table for her special beau, her boyfriend. At first, everyone seemed to be chatting with one another and there was...that Mercer girl. "Yo! Mercer!" She walked over to where the Ravenclaw was and that's when she saw Miles as well. She slidddddd into the seat next to Miles, slipping her arm through his and leaning her head on his shoulder. She was happy. The happiest she'd ever been. If there was one thing she could say it would be that the train ride was the most interesting of all.

Wow! It was like...a rollercoaster full of twists and turns, ups and downs...but all in all, in the end, it worked out for the best.

GASP!

"MERCER! You are...are...Quidditch Captain?" WOOT!! That was just...awesome! "Congrats girl!" This was not the normal Fia. Nope! This was new and improved Fia. In love Fia. Happy Fia. Woot!

"Awh thanks, " said Lily grinning again at Jude. "I'm only in my first year here but I'm 15. You? I attended a school in Ireland for a few years prior to coming here like my sister. . . broken home." she said blushing.

Clic, clac, tap, toe...

Annie heard heels coming over to the Ravenclaw table, making her lose her concentration when writing on Phantom, her journal. Maybe that girl wearing those heeled shoes wasn't meant to go directly to her, after all...who she knew who wore heels. Only one person, but...

The voice she recognized was exactly the person she was thinking about, Lori. She turned around with a grin, slowly closing the notebook and putting her inside her purple-ish pouch. "Umm..hey, Lori...I was writing about my train ride on my journal..." She said with a slight nod, "Yourself, how have you been?...and one more question, what did your parents say about going to Cordoba next summer?" Yeah, probably too much to ask, but Annie wanted to know.
