Livvy glanced over to look at the guy that had his forehead on the table and seemed to be sleeping. Already? Rather early wasn't it? Plus with all this yummy food, how could one go about to sleeping?! There was no time to waste! People must eat! And with that, she scooped some mashed potatoes for herself. DELISH!
BLIIIIIIIIIINKK. What did that kid just say?
"Are you sure you don't like it?" she asked, smirking slightly. Most boys liked girls didn't they? Or was this a kid that hadn't hit the stage? Or maybe it was just the guys that Livvy had met... they were just really hormonal probably. Or maybe this guy was afraid of cooties? Huh.
NEW RAVENCLAWS WHEEEEEEEEEE. Livvy grinned happily. "Yes we are! We're gonna take back that House Cup this term! I just know it!" she said, quite determinedly. As Head Girl and one of Copernicus's greatest friends, well... at least she liked to think of herself as that, she just HAD to get that Cup back.
"Hiya! I'm Livvy! Pleased to meetcha!" Livvy greeted, shaking her hands with anybody that would shake it.
...
"HI. I'm Livvy." No one seemed to listen to her speech that she had given as Head Girl earlier. Nor did they seem to care. Grrrrrr.... But not that it really mattered. She never listened to any of the previous Ravenclaw Heads either. It was cool. Free birdeh!
Kellen looked up at the girl talking to him and smiled, "I'm Kellen. Pleased to meet you."
He glanced over at Icoguy as if to say 'hey look, another girl', but kept his polite expression on his face, "What do you have to do to win the House Cup?" That was what she'd been so excited about, right?

"Thank you. My mother likes flowers so she named me after some."
If Cela's legs hadn't decided to grow, she would probably be swinging them too. Instead she crossed one over the other and bounced her foot a little.
"Oh well last year was my OWL year so I was mostly focused on that and spending time with my 7th year friends and my boyfriend." She made a sad face. All gone now.
"There's always something going on but you can still have fun with your friends anyway. Like last term Professor Lupa's classroom barked because someone made it because she's a werewolf and some people are prejudiced and stuff. It was really distracting during the final."

Turning Damon saw another one of his friends. "Hey Ty come and join us" said Damon "Have you had a chance to eat anything yet?
Hey Damon their you areTy sat next to his friend I forget to eat at these things there is just so many people to meet. What good?Ty laughed knowing everything was good the houselfs never failed to make the tastes of everything. What new with you Damon?starting to fill his plate he stop to pour some pumpkin juice and take a sip.
"You know, I really have no idea," Kellen commented wryly. "If I had to guess, I'd say that being Head Boy went to his head and he forgot what got him there in the first place. He certainly spent a lot of time walking around and reminding everyone of his position. That school was more concerned with etiquette and deportment anyway."
Had he introduced himself? He'd given the boy a wave and a 'hi', that he remembered, but just to be safe he added, "I'm Kellen. Kellen Stern. You are?"
If there wasn't food on the table he would have held his hand out for a shake; as it was he kept it holding his fork. The last thing he wanted was to drag a sleeve through gravy.
Owain smiled, "Owain ap Peredur," he named himself," very much a case of power corrupting then?"
Owain had an amused glint in his eye as he pictured a caricature of the Minister of Magic running around setting fire to the hallowed halls of the ministry. He laughed aloud at the thought and busied himself with filling his plate while all around him people seemed to be losing theirs.

Mhm. Kellen. Not a bad name. She liked names that started with a 'K'. Livvy wasn't sure why. They just appealed to her, somehow. "Nice to meetcha Kellen! Are you a new student? What year are you in?" she asked, smiling.
NEWSTUDENTSNEWSTUDENTSNEWSTUDENTS!!!! Livvy was sooo happy for getting new students. They HAD to win. They just HAD to. Both the Quidditch Cup AND the House Cup. The Hufflepuffs had their egos fluffed up way too long and the Gryffindors were gonna get all righteous and shove it in their faces. That wasn't something that Livvy would want. Though... not ALL Gryffindors were like that.
Jack was cool. Yah. He was her PARTNAH.
The Cups... were SOOOO theirs.
"Well... pretty much... the House Cup is awarded to the house that wins the most points," Livvy said, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice and then set the goblet back down. "So the objective is to earn the most points or at least, as many as you can. And by earning points... you can do so by attending and participating in classes, completing your homework assignments, and so on."

'Im doing good Ty. I think you should eat what you can it would be a good idea in this case." Damon looked over at Bonnie and wondered if she was still hungry but he would let who do what she wanted. Damon finally started eating very quickly he enjoyed every item of food.
Kellen shook his head slightly with a smile, his own way of apologizing for overreacting. After all, he and the other boy had already established that the girls here were verging on mental; boys needed to stick together.
Sabel gave a small smile at Kellen's tolerance. He was glad he had run into him, and that the other boy didn't seem to mind being run into; it was almost a 100% garuantee it would happen again.

Allison still had no clue that she couldn't just go off adopting people. With a gleam in her eyes she gave Sabel a wolfy grin.
Sabel gave a mental groan at that possibility, looking back over at Arya and Allison, only to be greeted by what his mind took as a "you'd-better-flee" grin comming from the latter. He could feel himself shrink a little under the gaze; he had no idea what she was thinking, but at that current point in time, he felt like a sheep under a canid gaze.

Swallowing, he averted his eyes to the more tame gaze of Arya, blushing a little bit in embarrassement of his accussation about her wanting him to leave. "Oh...thanks..." He shifted to try and show he appreciated it, giving her a small smile through the slight awkwardness.
Glancing at Allision briefly, Sabel debated what the other student might be thinking. He had gotten used to Kellen and Chaucer's openness and expressiveness and in his few encounters with them had never been required to debate their opinions. He noticed Kellen's search for his cousin and vaugely wondered where the dramatic young man was keeping himself. That was until he realized Arya had asked him a question and his head swivelled back to her. "Kelowna...British Columbia, Canada. What about yourself...you two? Arya? Allision?" He figured it was best not to leave Allision out from the conversation.

EEE. Livvy liked transfers. Yes she did. The last time she had met two transfers, they turned out to be the two awesomest people in the whole wide world. But now they were gone. Wibbbbblle. Livvy missed both of them a lot, even though she had seen them a few times over the summer. Siiiiggghhh.

BLINK.
The Head Girl couldn't help but stiffen slightly at the question. The House and Quidditch Cup were both sensitive topics. They were both things that Livvy desired greatly and the fact that Ravenclaw had lost BOTH... wasn't something that Livvy liked to deal with. Yes. She was a sore loser. Deal with it.
"It truly is. Slackers," Livvy muttered under her breath, just loud enough for the fourth year to hear. "Ravenclaw hasn't been at its greatest moment, but hopefully... it'll change this term. It just has to!"

"Hi Nina!" Thana replied, happy that she hadn't been brushed off by this confident-sounding girl. "I'm really excited about starting classes, I'm muggleborn and have never heard of magic until I got the letter." Whoops. Was it bad that she had just said that? Maybe advertising that you were muggleborn wasn't good. Oh, well, it had just slipped out. And Nina seemed nice enough, hopefully she wouldn't get all cold and sarcastic.
Arya glanced at Allison and knew she didn't care to much for the new Professor either. This made her feel better that someone else thought a dark wizard shouldn't be teaching at Hogwarts. They would have to go straight to the library and find out more on this Professor.
"Celandine...that's a pretty name." Immediately the butterfly that had accompanied Allison since she'd last seen her mother circled Emily's head in greeting,"I heard your name, a Hufflepuff I see. Congrats!" Shrugging Allison continued, "I guess it's ok. When I heard Arya get sorted I wished really hard..." lowering her voice Allison told only Emily and Arya, hoping no one would hear, "I asked the Sorting Hat to be in Hufflepuff."
The rest quite obvious, the hat had refused and she sat like all the other Scotts. A bloody Ravenclaw, with amazing house colors, Allison admitted. Still she shook her head in sadness. Darn evil sorting hat!
And to make matters worse, Arya was already asking Emily about having the same room. Her heart bleed a little. Arya, Anastasia, and Emily would all share a room. Who knew what people she'd end up with. Again. Darn. Evil. Sorting. Hat.

2 and 3 years? Owain relaxed, glad there was no immediate pressure on him to end a 6/7 year drought.
He smiled up at the Head Girl, "I am. Hope I don't come across anything scarier than that hat..." Owain gave the area where it had been a typical 11yr old glare of frustration... "I'm not a fan of having my thoughts and dreams picked over by what should be an inanimate object see.."

Kellen's face shifted from smirk to grin as he watch Owain taste the tang. He had no idea what that food was, and really, if someone told him it probably wouldn't taste as good. So Mystery Dish it would be.

Kellen listed with half an ear as Sabel chatted to Allison and her friend, but most of his attention was on Livvy.

"Sir Martigan's Academy for Distinguished Young Gentlemen," Kellen admitted it with a reluctance he'd never felt before. Mad Marty's was a shack compared to Hogwarts, and yet sounded like it should be every bit as grand. "It was a finishing school for pureblood boys. But! A grin cracked over his face at hearing where Allision had come from. "Another North American. Fancy that." He gave her a small nod to indicate her accent. "That was pretty good."
He felt some of his apprehension leaving, no longer feeling so far apart from his old life. The United States was not Canada, but it was closer than Hogwarts. His smile persisted as images of the mountains ran across his mind's eye, and once again his mouth ran ahead of his thoughts. "It's beautiful there. I lived near the Rocky Mountains. Just gorgeous." He gave a small chuckle. "Cold, very cold compared to South Texas. But worth bundling up in heavy jackets and mits to take a hike down a cliffside to watch the sun set."

"What is your favorite thing to do? I like climbing trees, myself." She grinned widely and gestured to the food that had appeared.
"Why don't we eat?" And she pulled the nearest plate toward her and started to pile some of everything onto it. It smelled delicious.
"Oh, why don't you want to take those classes?" Vashti asked, curious. Personally, she was looking forward to all of them adn thought all of them would be fun - of course, she could be proven wrong once she actually started the class, but still.
"I love to read," she answered. "And I've never actually climbed a tree. Is it really that fun?"
When Helena mentioned eating, Vashti suddenly realized that food had appeared on the table in front of her. Cool! "Oooo, this looks really good!" she said, then dug in.

MEHHH?
What was that muffled sound that Livvy heard? Curiously, she turned her head to look over at a girl that sat nearby them who had her hand over her mouth. "Are you okay?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice. Was she sick? Or was she laughing? First one. Definitely. Livvy didn't see any humor in anything that had been said.
Or maybe... this girl was just mental.

The boy's face seem to loosen up and relax. Livvy merely blinked in slight confusion. Sometimes... such a smart girl could be sooooo oblivious. But she just shrugged to herself and didn't mention anything. She was probably just seeing things. Maybe she got whatever Garret had gotten. EEEEEEEEEEP.
Livvy giggled slightly at what he said. "Don't worry. Things should go rather smoothly from now on. All you have to worry about is the crazy professors. Kazi, especially... but I'm not sure if he's teaching this term...." She glanced over at Cela with a questioning look. That girl knew everything. Surely she would know whether or not Kazi would be teaching this term.

And now they didn't have Copernicus to help earn them points. That was not a good thing.
OHMERLIN. Copernicus.
Livvy had almost forgotten how much that boy had contributed. Now... they were certainly going to dieeeee. Even though her face showed determination, she was definitely worried. Hopefully students would start helping out. The entire house couldn't just DEPEND on like FOUR students to do all the work, could they?
"Cela's right. Every point counts. So hopefully this term, more students will start taking part in the schoolwork." Siggghhh.

It's gone now and I'm sure Hogwarts will be much better."
He saw Livvy stiffen and rubbed the back of his neck, "Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you or anything."
He didn't know most of the people Celandine was talking about, but shrugged and offered, "I can't say I'll be any help when it comes to Quidditch, but as far as schoolwork is concerned," he grinned, "well, the hat didn't put me here for nothing!"
HUUUUUUHHHH?
Where was daaattt? Livvy looked at Kellen with confusion. "I've never heard of that school before... where is it located? Gone?! How come?" she asked, curiously as she crossed her arms and laid them over the table, leaning over closer. By this time, Livvy had almost completely forgotten her BEST FRIEND Rachel who was sitting all alone.
But Livvy was someone that moved around a lot and liked to talk. It would only be until Rachel made her existence known again that Livvy's attention would return to the girl. That's just... how things worked!
Livvy just smiled and shrugged. "It's cool. I'm just a sore loser," she said, laughing slightly and scratched her head. But then what the boy said next, made Livvy grin even more. "That's good! I'll be making sure you keep your word," she said, humorously.

Mina turned her head, hearing her name. "Well, I can tell you now I'm ready to earn every possible point I can again." she said with a firm nod. "The House cup will be ours this year. I'm not sure if I can help on the Quidditch front, but I'll be cheering like one other." she added. She was maybe a bit too passionate about it, but at least she was passionate about something.
Sherri's nerves subsided once she sat down at her house table from the Sorting Hat. She could breathe clearly again and she could finally rest for the night. That is, until she realized how loud the growling of her stomach was. She didn't take notice on the train; Sherri supposed it was the nerves that didn't allow her own bodily functions speak... as strange as that sounded.
Sherri glanced down at her new house mates, all gathering and talking amongst each other. Those she met on the train were sorted into Slytherin, as she should have been. No, she shouldn't have been. As many people have told her, the Sorting Hat doesn't lie. It chooses the house best for you. Yes, she belonged in Ravenclaw.
She remained quiet. She hadn't known anyone here. Perhaps, I should take the liberty to say hello? No, no. Right here is fine, she thought, her mind arguing. Still, she was silent.

Cela frowned.
"Professor Kazimeriz is not crazy, he's wonderful." She gave Livvy a look and then couldn't help but smile. "I do wish he was still teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts and not Potions though." Cela didn't much like potions after all.
"I am glad to know that Livvy and I aren't the only ones wanting to get the cup again this term." She smiled happily at Kellen and Mina and their comments on doing their best and all. "Obviously we're all in Ravenclaw for a reason right?"
Most of them were at least half as smart as she was. Which was a whole lot smarter than most of the other houses. Well... differently smart anyway.
