Fia left the staff table and headed back over towards the Ravie table instead of the Huffie table. At this time in her life she was rather clingy to her boyfriend, especially given the fact that they'd just smoothed things over from the summer. As she sat down, she took note that he and Cela were chatting. She really didn't want to interrupt them but at some point, she really needed to thank the Tree Climber for her help in the Fia/Miles situation.
"I'm starving," she spoke quietly, reaching for a slice of bread before moving on to the hot food that her body craved. "What are you two talking about?" She wasn't a nosy person but right now, she just...felt like butting in if it was okay.
Miles looked up as he saw Fia come over and sit next to him. Hearing her say how hungry she was he realized he was too and pulled a plate in front of him, piling it high with different food.
"We're discussing Lord Voldemortist teaching here." And his dislike for his name. I mean seriously who names them self that. "Where've you been?" He asked with a smile as he took a large bite out of a chicken leg. Mmmmm.
"Sci- fi, eh? Interestingggg." Nia had never really been one to go for the Science Fiction genre. She wasn't really sure why. Teen fiction had been folloed by fiction, and that was kind of that. "I'd certainly be interested to have a browse."
Nia nodded, almost proudly. Well, she had been on the team since first year. And she wasn't necessarily one of the players on a house team that got all that much attention. "Chaser, mainly," she replied, "Though I did play beater for a term. I like both, but I think chaser suits me more overall." She smiled as Anya described playing with her family. "You should try out, you know," the fith year replied, noting that Anya has drifted into thought - maybe of a previous Quidditch incident. "It can still get pretty competitive - I rely on bruise removal cream, even after just practice." At that she laughed, remember the, ahem, kicking and biting incidents of a couple of years back.
"We will have to do that sometime." Anya said.
"Chaser and beater? Was it really weird switching like that?" she asked pulling out of her own mind and back into the conversation. She heard the comment that the older girl made.
"Me?Try out?" replying nervously, "There will more likely than not be plenty of older students trying out who are better..." Huuumm...though maybe she could-just as an experience for if she tried out in the future. That way she would know what to expect.
"I bet they can get rough but those can be the must fun..."Anya said. The look in Nia's eyes suggested that she was having a recollection of her own.

"Ohhhhh," Fia spoke with a slight shocking sound in her voice when Miles spoke of their topic of conversation. It came to her as a bit of surprise, something she'd never really spoke about. "What...about him?". But Miles asked the question first.
"Well I was speaking to our new healer," she began as if it was no big deal. She reached over to grab some food for her plate and continued. "I'm thinking of becoming a healer after Hogwarts so...I was speaking to Healer Ashford about coming to her office to speak more to her.". Would Miles think she was strange for already contemplating her life after school.

She caught the nervousness in Anya's voice, and looked at her reassuringly. "Well, you've got to start somewhere, right? I mean, try out now, get the feel for what happens and you never know. That's what I did - tried out hopefully, but not too expectant, in my first year. I got in, and pretty much never looked back. If nothing else it shows commitment, and there's always the reserve spots." Nia looked at her companion with bright eyes. "They're fun up until a point..." she answered almost mysteriously. "I'm not sure Willow appreciated it in practice on our own teammates, and nor would Prof. Vindictus in a match..."

Miles listened as Cela discribed the 'lord' in front of Voldemortist's name and scoffed as someone asked if he was royalty. Of course he wasn't. If he was Miles would surely have known him.
He scratched the back of his head and looked sheepish as she said she'd give him a book to read. Homework already? And classes haven't even started. And now Cela probably thought him a bit stupid. Greeeeeeeeat.

"Twin brother?" not wanting to get in too deep with her family she simply left the question vague so she could answer any way she chose.
"I didn't think of it from the captain's point of view, that would be good in a pinch!"
Hearing the older student's view on it did make Anya feel better .
"Yeah, that sounds good. Get a feel for it." she sighed, "is Willow the captain or something, and Professor Vindictus the sponsor?" She hoped that Nia was patient with her ignorance. Nia was really being a great help. Anya couldn't be sure how older students would take to the younger ones...

James pushed open the giant double doors and walked into the greatly lit, incredibly full Great Hall. He turned his direction slightly to the side and made his way to his house's table. His green eyes scanned the table full of chattering Ravenclaw students. After a few moments of awkwardly standing at the table, James spotted his friend Jude. Smiling, he made his way and sat in a luckily vacant seat across from his Aussie friend.
"There you are Jude," he said while grabbing the foods on the table. "How do you like it so far?" He stuffed his mouth with creamy mashed potatoes.

At Sabel's introduction Allison rose an eyebrow. What was worse, was the fact that he was sitting next to Mr. Confidence himself--Kellen, and looked like a mumbling fool. Something that instead of making Allison grimace and frown, made her warm up to Sabel even more. He was nothing like Kellen, perhaps she'd adopt him as well.
Allison still had no clue that she couldn't just go off adopting people. With a gleam in her eyes she gave Sabel a wolfy grin.

Was it perhaps that their IQs were much higher than everyone elses? She doubted that. Arya next to her was bright, oh. Oh. Ohhhh. Well well it seemed Kellen did do some reading. After all he couldn't have gotten placed in Ravenclaw without some ounce of smart blood in him.
Without even realizing it Allison was already warmed into Ravenclaw and had dismissed the fact that the Scotts had belonged to that house. Well at least for now, everything was good.
"True but you get to be in the towers. I mean how cool is that? But I think I'll like being by the kitchen, I just hope we have windows in our common room cause I would hate not to be able to see the outside world"Arya knew that the Hufflepuff Common Room was dungeons but she had hoped they somehow had windows, she loved just looking out the windows."I think could sneak you some sweets. Perseus is pretty smart so I think that could work."Arya laughed at this, Persues was to smart for his own good sometimes. Often getting caught rumaging through things he shouldn't be in. Arya looked over to an older girl that Allison was talking to.She heard bits and pieces of what she had said but still was not aware of who they were talking about.

She had a puzzled look on her face as she couldn't understand why she would be lucky to tought by a dark wizard. Everything she heard about dark wizards had been bad, she didn't understand why they would let someone like that teach at Hogwarts.

Bella was looking at all the wonderful gifts and everyone being so cheerful, and right before she was going to give Choluna her's she saw Ella enter the room.
"Hi Ella!" said Bella wile standing up and waving to her. Hopefully she didn't embarrest her. Oops.....
"Oh Choluna I got you something too," said Bella wile digging for the small box in her bag. Oh where was it???
"Oh you shouldn't have!" said Choluna. She felt guilty for not getting Keeley and Bella a gift. Maybe she could give them a pair of earrings. "So, your Ella?" said Choluna. She was excited to make another new friend!

"I'm really nervous, too, to tell you the truth," Vashti admitted, glad to know she wasn't the only nervous one here. She consciously made an effort not to start biting her nails again; she wouldn't be able to talk very much if she started, and she really wanted to make a friend right now, and the only way to do that was to talk. So the nail-biting had to stop, at least for now. "I'm a first year, so I just got sorted, too. I'm kinda glad I got Ravenclaw. I like what it stands for, though all the houses seem pretty great. And..." She paused, trying to remember all the classes she had to take and which ones she liked best. "I think Potions and Transfiguration sound like fun. What about you?"
Helena clapped her hands in delight. She hoped she and Vashti would become great friends.
"I'm really looking forward to Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, but I really want to learn Charms and Potions, too. I can't wait for all the classes, except for Care of Magical Creatures and Flying, really. I don't want to take those classes." She shrugged, and smiled again.
"What is your favorite thing to do? I like climbing trees, myself." She grinned widely and gestured to the food that had appeared.
"Why don't we eat?" And she pulled the nearest plate toward her and started to pile some of everything onto it. It smelled delicious.

Fia looked to Cela and grinned. "Hey girl," greated as she was very fond of her at the moment. She leaned into Miles so she could speak to Cela and thank her.
"I wanted to say...thanks a lot for your help.". Her eyes glanced towards Miles so that maybe she would get the hint. "I'm very grateful for you.".

Well that just made her day even more. She loved helping Miles figure out things. "Well, that's one thing to work towards, especially after Bothari gave that...stuff.". That stuff she was speaking of made him extremely hyper to the point she almost could keep up with him.
"Ohhh. Maybe I can take a look at the book as well.". This was going to be interesting as well as an interesting school year.

Nina noticed another first year come into the Great Hall and sit next to another boy who was presumably his friend. Wanting to make as many new friends as possible she joined them. She did always get along much better with boys than girls for fear that the girls were always judging her.

James swallowed more of his food and turned to a first year girl speaking to both him and Jude.
"Er..," he said, "we're fifth years." This was awkward. "But I'm James, and this is Jude. He's moved here from Australia, so he's new."

"My bad." said Nina, her face going very red. She was verrry embarrased and knew she would make this mistake eventually, but hope she would avoid it, and ran away back to the girls she was originally talking to.
Kellen went back to eating, content to listen to all the talking around him. He wasn't sure what to expect from classes at a new school, but if history and word of mouth were anything to go by Hogwarts attracted a caliber of teachers like no other. He glanced across the hall, wondering if he could pick out Chaucer at the Slytherin table, but failed to do so. He just hoped his cousin wasn't being too dramatic their first night here...

Just as James opened his mouth to tell Nina that it was ok for her mistake, she ran off. His brow furrowed, he looked back at Jude with a puzzled look.
"Alright then..." he said slowly. He continued eating, still with a puzzled look on his face.
