| | Ravenclaw Common Room The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above. Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw! |

Satine gave him the look as he talked about Jenn..."Really you haven't seen her...don't you think that's kind of...ummm...odd..." she said it before she had thought it through...she quickly continued to try to cover it up..."Well, maybe she's just been really busy...or something..." she said quickly, but Satine had to admit that it seemed that this Jenn girl was always missing, but she would never say that to Kel for fear that he would get mad or frustrated with her. Kel chuckled and rolled his eyes, letting Satine win that arguement. He would never win, he knew that when he argued with Satine, she always won. He didn't know why or how, that was just how things were.
He nodded slowly at what she was saying. It did seem that everyone had someone...weird. When she mentioned that she was probably better without a boyfriend, he smiled encouragingly at her. "Maybe you just don't know anyone good enough for you, you'll find someone when you're ready." he suggested. "And besides, boys are dumb." he added with a wink. "Yeah, odd." he agreed, sighing . "Maybe she is busy, or maybe I'm just too anti-social for my own good." he shrugged as good as he could while laying on the couch. "I'm sure I'll see her soon, Hogwart's isn't so big that I won't be able to find her eventually."

Squeak.

And so it went as Broccoli crossed the common room. He was coming down from the boy's dorms and paced a bit in the common room by a window. He had his hands shoved into his pockets and Henry VIII in his back pocket as was customary. The squeak matched every left step that he was taking. "A frog's easy," he muttered to himself. "But where am I going to get some silk?"

Sprinting down the steps two at a time, Arienna Malone's bright smile seemed contageous enough to light up the room, if she tried. Uncommonly for her, her white cane wasn't touching the ground as she carried it in her right hand, and she wasn't walking her usual measured steps. When she reached the bottom of the staircase, her bag slung over one shoulder, she took four steps forward before letting her cane down in front of her.
As confident as could be, she crossed the common room and headed down the staircase, once again picking up the cane so it wouldn't catch on the stairs.

"Or ... you know ... go to the market." The redhead said, running her hands across the binding of the books stacked on one of the shelves.
With a twirl, the thirteen-year-old turned to face the boy who had asked such a ridiculous question, albeit to himself.
"Hello." Well, she WAS bored after all. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Allison Scott Fifth Year | To all! Allison is giving everyone treats for it being Halloween/November!!!
After the long swim in the lake and her quick change into her costume, Allison hopped across the Common Room towards the girls dormitories. There were still many things to do, and the day was already coming to an end. Just as she had hopped her way towards the Ravenclaw tower Allison could smell the November breeze fast approaching. In other words, she knew November was already the next day. One thing she missed the most was trick-or-treating back in the States. Sadly it didn't seem Hogwarts' professors were too keen to give out candy during the day. However had she encountered any mischievous ghosts or a poltergeist like Peeves, it would be to the surprise of others, that Allison might have been tempted on causing havoc. After all, no candy meant plenty of excuses for pranks.
Opening her small bag filled with candies sent from her mother and maternal grandparents Allison paused to take them all out. Looking around the Common Room Allison noticed all the older students and felt a bit awkward to go up to people and share like her mother had asked her to. Instead she took out her wand and pointed it to her chocolates and candies. Closing her eyes tight Allison took a deep breath and flicked her wand, immediately all of the treats flew into the air and to the direction of all the Ravenclaw students. Grinning Allison nodded to several and hopped her way into the dormitories to share even more treats. Plus apart from sharing treats she had to get her Charms homework. So much to do!

People say I'm a good listener. he gave her a strong and firm smile.

Bonnie entered the silver and blue common room. "So," she sighed to Damon. He was so cute. Why don't she ask him? Oh, right, because when it come to these things she was a MORAN! She fiddled with a lock of hair, hoping not to look stupid.

Satine was instantly startled as candy flew her way. She reached up and caught some and then glanced around the room to see who the culprit was that sent candy flying around the CR. She finally saw the girl and waved with a smile and a quick, "Thanks!!!! This is very sweet of you!" as she opened up a mini package of licorice wands and started eating them. Quote:

Satine listened once again to Kel's thoughts on boys and kept herself from rolling her eyes...she knew he was just being protective and didn't want her to have a boyfriend...but she was tired of everyone else having one and her being the third wheel...or in most cases the seventh or ninth wheel..." I sure hope so...I'll keep my fingers crossed but I just think everyone looks at me as 'O there's Satine she's so fun...what a great friend...' and nothing more...you know...kind of like how you see me as your sister and nothing else..." she paused with wide eyes as she realized what she had just said and hoped it wasn't as awkward as it sounded as she glanced around the room breaking eye contact with Kel...she hurried on to the Jenn subject again...
" Yes, I'm sure you'll find her somewhere..." she said with an unsure voice while still glancing around the CR. " ummmm...yah...well maybe you just haven't been looking hard enough for her or something..." she kind of mumbled the last sentence. She still wasn't too sure about this Jenn girl...I mean it just seemed like one thing after another...last term the girl was pretty much playing Kel and this term she was missing in action...kind of weird...maybe Satine would make it her goal to find the girl and talk some sense into her...but no she didn't want Kel to get mad at her for interfering..." Well if you ever need help hunting her down, just let me know and I sure could make the process fun..." she said with a wink as she finally made eye contact again.

Nina needed to apologize. She felt like an idiot. Maybe they can grow to be friends. She's not that much older than Nina. Oh but she was in the middle of a conversation. Ans she was... crying... Should I interrupt?? Maybe, she might be more forgiving whilst she's crying. But I don't know what the conversations about. I should wait. Nina sat watching the girl, waiting for an opening in the conversation.

Kel frowned slightly. In his opinion, being thought of as a good friend really wasn't all that bad. He was sure people thought of him as some grouchy person that really shouldn't be approached unless you wanted to get jinxed. He needed to work on that. He opened his mouth to say something nice and encouraging, but then Satine said something about him. Kind of like how you see me as your sister and nothing else... He looked away from her quickly, as she did the same. What was he supposed to say to that? 'Yeah, sorry Satine, but I do just think of you as a sister?' No, that wouldn't work. So, he did the only smart thing he could think of, and moved onto another subject.
Kel chuckled nervously at Satine's mumbled assurance. "Yeah, I'm sure it's my fault." he said honestly, shaking his head slowly. He really couldn't blame it on Jenn, now could he? Although she clearly hadn't been trying to find him, either...but he'd just stick to blaming himself. He looked up at her when she started talking again, and felt a smile come onto his face when she winked at him. "Oh, I think I might have to take you up on that offer. I could use a little fun. I've been so out of things lately... but how about we don't bring Jenn into it?" he paused, wondering how that might sound. "What do ya say we go do somethin' fun right now?" his voice went higher at the end, and he raised an eyebrow.

"I was joking!" She claimed, still staring at the boy who clearly, could not see a joke when it stared at him in the face. Nobody weaved their own silk these days anyways. They had other people to do that for them.
She could TELL he was going to be a boring one, stuck on getting his silk. Maybe she should stick to the books.
The red let her eyes fall on the boy's fingers as they told her he needed approximately that amount of silk. Three inches? He wanted three inches of silk? "Why do you want that " Small "amount of silk?" Di asked, curious.
Because, clearly, that amount was useless.

Because, clearly, that amount was useless. Broccoli gave her a look; furrowed brow, confused eyes, corners of his mouth turned down in concentration; as if the idea of ‘joking’ had never occurred to him. “Joking…” if Broccoli had a sense of humor, one might think he was going to follow up with ‘what is this joking you speak of?’ Alas, a sense of humor was something that Broccoli desperately needed to acquire.
Just like the square of cloth. “What’s it for? Well,” he was about to burst out with ‘none of your business’ but decided it wouldn’t’ hurt to explain what he needed it for. “A small bag. Big enough to stick a toad in.” Yeah, let her ruminate on that for a while.
It seemed, that Broccoli just got weirder and weirder as the days went on.

Gawd.
Bridgette stepped lightly into the blue and silver common room. She was sure she wasn't the only one who wondered about this, but why couldn't the Ravenclaws have a simple password to memorize in order to gain entrance? I mean, what if you just didn't know the answer to the question the gargoyle asked? Guess that just stunk for you, then.
Hah. Well, that was what happened after one of Bridge's long walks on the grounds. Alone with nothing else to do but think on the vastness of Hogwart's lawns, her mind tended to run pretty wild. But it was just the thing she needed to begin to relax after a long day. Until she started coming up with dumb questions. She was a fifth year, dangit.
Ooh. An open armchair.
Bridgette scurried over to the armchair and sank into it. Ahh. Homework could wait until later.

It seemed, that Broccoli just got weirder and weirder as the days went on. The look Madiison was currently receiving only confirmed her theory. This boy did not know what a joke was. Returning the favour, the little red head only stared right back at him, intently. Something told this little girl that he did not know how to have fun either!
Oh, PERFECT! She could demonstrate! What an excellent way to ward off boredom. SMIIIILE.
...
"You are planning to stick a toad into," Di demonstrated the length with her hands, "that little piece of cloth?" The poor poor toad could suffocate! Gaspeth! "YOU! Did YOU kill Charlotte Marie?" Or whatever that scorpion's name was. |

Or whatever that scorpion's name was. “Who, by Merlin’s pointy curled elfy-shoes, is Charlotte Marie, and why would you think I killed her?” he shook his head. “It? Whatever…”
Pause.
“I didn’t kill anything.” Yet. but he kept that part to himself. He had to do something about his fits. They were getting worse and he certainly didn’t trust the nurse enough to try and ask her for help.
An uncomfortable itch started in the back of his head and reached up and scratched it. Chunks of his dark blond hair littered his shoulder as he did so. It’s gotta help my hair too… he thought. Poor Broccoli, or more correctly, poor Broccoli's hair. It still was suffering his ill-advised attempt to cure his dandruff (although, in an ironic twist, since he lost his hair, he hadn't had any dandruff and therefore the potion had done it's job. He couldn’t really fault it now could he?).
And Broccoli was at his wits end and Amimation’s book had told him the proper cure. All he needed was that square of cloth to turn into a bag he could hang around his neck.

Hmm. Maybe he didn't kill her after all. "Apparently she was a scorpion." Madiison informed him in a sad voice, "A pet scorpion." Siiiigh. "Somebody filled her container up with water and she drowned." Oh, the poor sole!
Sniff.
Looking out the window, Di realised it was night-time and suddenly, she had an impulse to go out to the grounds. She couldn't really explain WHY she wanted to go out to the grounds in the middle of the night, but she did.
The red grabbed the boy's hand. "Let's go get you that piece of silk." She said before she started to walk towards the door, the weird boy in tow.
She didn't know why she LIED to him because, obviously, there was going to be no piece of silk waiting for them out in the grounds, but Di was too scared to go out there alone, but at the same time, she WANTED to. |

She smiled wearily. "I could get us both drinks." she said hopefully. "Or we could just walk..." "I would be glad to go to Hogsmeade with you if you are up for it Bonnie." said Damon. "Where do you suppose we go first there." Now it looked like he could do something that would be worthwhile. He got up off the couch and beckoned for her to follow him out there. |

Pushing open the door of the Common Room with her left hand, Ari paused for a moment, listening to the voices in the common room, before continuing, slowly, to the sofa in front of the fireplace. She counted in a whisper to herself, first reaching the study tables, before turning right, finding the armchair, then feeling for the sofa.
She pressed her dark glasses closer to her eyes, and, upon sitting, collapsed her cane, setting it beside her. Ari pulled her beige bag from over her shoulder and picked one of the books she had retrieved from the library out of it. Setting her bag at her feet, Ari leaned her head back, passing her fingers back and forth across the raised bumps ont he page.
If there was one good thing about being blind, it was the ability to read in any position.

Dalanie entered the common room quickly as she needed to get something fast. Well, she didn't need something fast, she wanted it fast. So she rushed to the girls dormitory and ran up the spiral stairs to retrieve what she wanted.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Allison Scott Fifth Year | To Professor Snape my savior from boredom <3
November was proving to be not as fun as Allison had hoped for. As it was she had already misplaced her Charms homework, something she'd never do. Then there was the fact she was pretty sure she was catching a cold. Following with the lack of letter and news from her mother. True it hadn't been long since the last owl, but still! It had been more than two weeks! Or something like that. And lil Ms Scott was used to a weekly letter from her family.
Dragging herself into the Common Room Allison sighed. She had just returned from flying and getting rid of the nasty tight stomach feeling that she was going to fail Charms forever and ever and ever and ever...etc. Finding an empty seat by an older girl wearing sunglasses, Allison dropped her bunny bag--not before taking out a chocolate of course and stared right at her.
She seemed different. Slowly her eyes began to drift around the girl. Cane. Sunglasses. Book. Not technically reading with her eyes, but with her fingers. "Merlin's beard you are blind!" It hadn't been Allison's intention to speak out loud; for in all honesty she had thought that in her head, but she still had not yet built the filter to speak to others without sounding partially rude and blunt. Covering her mouth when she heard the words that had flown out of it, Allison winced, her mother would send her a Howler if she found out.
