Victoria saw Thomas walk into the common room, she was pleased to see one of her friends. she walked over to him and said "Hey Thomas, how are you?"

Oh boy, here we go again. "Hey Vicky whats up?" he asked her closing the book and he began to fiddle with his scarf. "So how is it at Hogwarts?" he added to his question list. This school can not leave one boy alone can it. The boy sighed and looked at Vicky with a loving smile.

"Good thanks, you? You look tired, do you want me to leave you alone?" she asked him.

"Vicky since when do I want to be alone?" Thomas said to her seating her next to him. He gave her a short friendly hug and whispered in her ear, "I missed you so much." Thomas smiled at her and continued fiddling with his scarf. "Ahhh... Ahhhh..... Chooo!" Thomas sneezed so loud that even the giant squid probably heard him. "Thank you, how ever is up there you sure do love," he shouted and pointed to the ceiling. He turned himself to Vicky and said, "My angel hates me, first he makes me meet Neptune Bott and now he gave me the cold, so unfair." Life never goes easy does it.

"Who is Neptune Bott? During the summer holidays I found out that I have a half brother!" she excitedly told her best friend.

"N is, Ah forget it she'll crawl up to you soon don't worry," he snapped and sneezed again. "Having a half brother is very dangerous because if he's cute you can't date him and he'll try and steal your live and says it in here," he said throwing his book to her. "Vicky I think I caught the cold," he said sniffing his nose. "Ahh... Ahhhhh....... Chooo," he sneezed again. "Ah, come on Ravenclaw what did I do to you already," he said blowing his nose on tissues.

"I am sorry but you are one of my best friends" she said with tears in her eyes, "Rex has had a accident and he keeps losing his memory so he can't remember me".

Bella walked into the common room and took a seat in one of the nice warm mooshy chairs. She then took out her homework parchment and began to prepare for her homework wile twisting the ends of her pixie hair. her hair was now begining to grow longer. It was sort of funny of this fact since she had just cut it before school started.

"That medication they had put me on over the summer is really affective," she thought.

"Hey Bella!" said Choluna. Did her hair get longer over night? It looked nice longer! Before she looked like a cut pixie, now she looked like a mature woman! "Wanna compare notes from Divination or DADA? Or we could just... talk?" she really needed that right now!

"Oh sure. We can do both," said Bella wondering where she had put her notes. "What do you want to talk about? Is something bothering you?" Bella asked. For some odd reason Choluna had seemed very glum lately. Like she was stumbling along.
"as we stumble along, though life’s crowded journey, as we stumble along, into the blue. We look here, and we look there, seeking answers anywhere. Never sure nor where to turn nor what to do............." she sand in her head. That song was a good one. Good old drowsy chaperon the musical!

She then turned her attention back to choluna.

Keeley skipped into the common room, sitting down by the fire. On the floor. Yes, she is a bit odd. "Hey guys. What's up?"

"I'm just practicing what Proffessor pilliwickle taught us. She's a little eccentric but i don't mind it very much now..." Emily looked around and saw a small vase up on the mantel "Orchideous" she said and a single blue rose came from her wand, she got up and placed it in the little vase.

Bella watched as Emily did the spell. "Oh hello Keeley," said Bella. "How have you been?" she asked.

"Wow! What a neat spell, Emily!" she loved flowers especially roses! This little blue rose was beautiful!

Keeley smiled as Emily did the flower spell thing. "Transfiguration's my favorite class in the world!" she yelled a little too loudly. "And I've been okay, I guess." Keeley said, although she had not really been. There was too much drama going on around here!

"Same here, yet I do like charms the most," she said thinking of the class.
"Defense against the dark arts had scared me today," said Bella still thinking of the spiders.

Ugh. Defense Against the Dark Arts. SCARY! "Yeah, that was really, really freaky." said Keeley.

I never was, am always to be. No one ever saw me, nor ever will. And yet I am the confidence of all, to live and breath on this terrestrial ball. What am I?

Ivory was still mulling over the riddle she had been given by the bronze eagle knocker at the entrance when she stepped into the Ravenclaw common room.

Of course she had answered correctly for there she stood now, but it had been quite a puzzling one. She had to admit that she had been stumped for more then she felt ready to admit.

"Tomorrow and the future", she'd answered. But it seemed like such a cliche answer. Ivory released a sigh. Oh well, if the eagle had let her in it was fine.

Moving toward the comfiest chair nearest to the fireplace , she slouched down into it. If only she was more animated, if only she could just walk straight up to any group of people having a conversation and just talk herself into it. But sadly she was still as painfully shy as ever, although she had recently made some headway by actually carrying on a conversation, laughing, and even talking quite harshly to some people (well one person but that was just once and it was only because the few friends she had were hurt at the time and she had apologized profusely) Unfortunately, each and every single one of those times, someone had instigated that conversation. Hopefully, with time, she'd learn to be less shy.

Hunting around through her robes, Ivory removed her wand from it's holster. Feeling the familiar warmth in her hand and watching the always present dark blue flame with its purple white center bloom at its tip, she twirled it around absentmindedly as she tapped her storage belt.

It was a beautiful belt that had been a gift from her mother right before she'd left. It was made of alternatively light and dark square patches of mokeskin that when tapped with a wand expanded into different sized bags and satchels enchanted to hold more than they appeared able to. The side squares expanded into large roomy spaces that could hold any number of things while the front and back held the smaller parcels.

Tapping one of the squares that resided near her hipbone she watched as the fabric seemed to billow out into a average sized messenger bag. Reaching a hand in she removed her textbooks and tapped the lip of the bag to return it to its actual size.

Shrugging out of her robe and neatly folding it along with her books on a nearby chair, she picked out A Changing Subject: Transfiguration Basics by Dawnie Iris.

Settling down for a good read before glass, she immersed herself in her book looking up occasionally as other Ravenclaws perused by, wishing she had a braver soul.

Roe entered the Ravenclaw common room, letting out a sigh of relief. Every time she got to the Ravenclaw portrait hole, she feared she would not be able to answer the question thrown at her. Since she had been sorted into Ravenclaw, she began to fear she was not bright enough to make it. She had never thought of herself as highly brilliant or anything of that sort and could not understand where the sorting hat had gotten any idea of such a thing.

It had been different before she had started Hogwarts. She had always been laughing and seemed very comfortable around others. However, she had never been near such people of sheer brilliance. She simply felt so lonely at Hogwarts after leaving the comfort of her home.

She did not even think she could make friends with all the other geniuses floating around. She was too dumb in her mind. "Oh well," Roe sighed. "Hopefully things will get better tommorow."

"What shame, but the school nurse will heel him I bet," Thomas said to her sniffing his nose again. "Hopefully I'm not sick," he said to her blowing his nose on a tissue. "So Vicky how is your third year?" he asked her with a smile. He really liked this girl she was always nice to him and helpful and she sometimes made him feel more intelligent.

Satine bounced into the CR after filling her belly full of some goodness in the cafeteria. She was a little irritated because the riddle today required entirely too much thinking especially when all she wanted was a quick nap after eating all of that food. She was planning on taking a break and then jumping into homework. It always seemed that the homework always came all at once here.

She bounced through the CR glancing around for an empty seat with her pet chinchilla, Gemma, wrapped around her neck along for the ride. She saw a seat near a new face and decided that today was the day to meet someone new. That was her goal for the year after all.

Satine made a bee line for an empty seat next to the girl and plopped down. As soon as she was settled, Gemma scurried down her arm and curled up instantly into her lap glancing up and begging for Satine to pet her to sleep, which she did so out of habit.

Satine put her best smile on and turned to the new girl. "Howzit, whatcha doin?" she said with her usual big smile as she glanced down at the girl's book. "OOOOOO a book...what's it about?" she said as she flicked her right wrist. Satine's wand came shooting out from her wrist holster and with a quick flick her long purple hair was pulled up into a twist and out of the way.

"O, sorry I forgot to introduce myself," Satine said quickly as she put her hand out, "Howzit, I'm Satine Farris, third year and fellow Ravvie...." she said with tons of pride...there was no better house than the Ravvies!

Nina walked into the common room reminiscing about the classes she had taken that day.

"Papilio!" She said. To her satisfaction, large pink butterflies flew from her wand. Awesome.

She walked to the fire and sat down in one of the comfy looking chairs. She then tried to conjure flowers for her butterflies. She waved her wand in a circle and murmered "Orchideous!". Small flowers popped out. Maybe she should practice this spell more than she has, even though practice wasn't instructed by the teacher. She wanted to do well in school, even if that meant extra work.

Giving the flowers to the butterflies, Nina glanced around the room to see if anyone she knew was there.

"It has been great but I have lots of homework!" she knew that Thomas liked him but they could only be friends because of Jason.

A transfigured human into an animal will lose their ability to think with a human brain. In other words, they will think like the animal into which they have been transfigured. However, an animagus will maintain their human brain and personality.



Ivory nodded along as she read the passage, trying to commit it all to memory, until a voice made her sit up.


Sitting next to her was a bewitching older girl with long purple hair and a beguiling smile. Immediately, a small wave of envy washed through her as she watched the girl expertly use her wand to twist her hair in an elegant yet casual knot at the top of her head; but her voice was so friendly and bubbly that Ivory knew she couldn't hold it against her for something she couldn't do.
In fact, she doubted there was ever anything anyone could hold against this girl, who appeared so forthcoming and sociable no one could possibly be mad at her.

She glanced down at the book in her lap as the girl asked what it was about. Before Ivory could answer the girl merrily rushed on, and introduced herself as Satine. Her voice brimmed over in pride as she mentioned being a fellow Ravenclaw.

Determined to make a friend out of this interesting situation, Ivory tried to push down her nervousness at meeting new people, and set on her brightest smile.

"Hiya," she said then cursed herself for sounding like a little kid and vowed to try and use a bigger vocabulary. Merlin knew she read enough to have one.

"Oh, it's just A Changing Subject: Transfiguration Basics by Dawnie Iris," she looked down as she wearily admitted. "I've already read it but I'm trying to remember as much as possible."

"I'm Ivory, a first year." She gave a little laugh and held up the textbook pointing to the large word 'Basics.'

Satine smiled and glanced at the book in the girl's hands...this was one of Satine's most favorite basics book in the whole world. She glanced down at Gemma as her chincilla began jerking slightly in her sleep. Satine stroked the chinchilla's back to calm it and then glanced back as the girl introduced herself.

"Well it is really great to meet you Ivory." she said with a small nod..."I have to admit that I am extra extra impressed with you reading...and a school related book...in your spare time...It is def obvious that you were sorted into the perfect house..." she beamed with pride and then continued on...."we are the house of the brightest and hottest..." she said with a wink.

Satine quickly glanced around the room wondering where everyone was...the CR was never this dead especially at this time..."So, Ivory...." she paused as she thought..."Um, tell me a little bit about yourself...have you been to any classes yet?"
