Considering Sidney considerable lack of magical ability, she decides it might be a good idea to make friends with the Charms professor. She is also dying to meet the class clown of the opening feast. His sign leads her to believe Professor Kade is going to be not your average professor. Sidney knocks on the door, and then takes a seat on the bench. She figures it's a good idea not to be too close to Professor Kade's door. It may be booby trapped.

Cela was sooo curious to know who was replacing Professor Ashby. It was her intention to make sure it was a PROPER professor, one that could actually teach her something and not just regurgitate something from a textbook.

She'd already READ all the textbooks so she hardly needed her precious NEWT study time taken up by that kind of professor.

She read the sign first and shrugged a little bit. Sticking charms she could handle. Still, she knocked twice and stepped back. Then she examined the benches, and decided to just stand while she waited.

A loud thud and a groggy voice echoed through the door.

"Come in!"

Charms was one of Kylie's favorite and best classes last year. She was definitely going to miss Professor Ashby, but she took this opportunity to come meet the new Charms professor. She walked up to the door and knocked politely, then took a seat on one of the benches.

She hoped she'd improved on her impression-making skills.

Sidney looks at the Ravenclaw standing at the door. "Do you think he wants all of us?" Sidney figures she should know proper proceedures when it comes to entering a professor's office.

Suddenly a the door was yanked open by a VERY grumpy Professor.

With his hair sticking madly out in all directions.

"You woke me up and you aren't coming in?" he grumbled. "If this is how you play Knock knock run, I hate to tell you: you're terrible at it."

Grown ups, like babies, get very cranky when they miss their naps.

"At least one of you needs to come in and say whatever you need to say. I'm not picky."

Celandine tipped her head to one side, eyed the two Hufflepuffs then shrugged and went into the office.

She was completely oblivious to the crankiness, but she DID notice the hairstyle.

Maybe there was hope yet?

Sidney is grateful the older Ravenclaw decides to go in first. She can wake the professor up before I go in. I can't understand him. He was bouncing off the walls at the Opening Feast. Now he can't seem to stay awake. Sidney makes a mental note to buy some chocoballs and Pepper Imps. Chocoballs because they are Sidney's favorite and Pepper Imps to keep the charms professor awake. Poor man must have low blood sugar problems.

Kylie wasn't going to lie, she was a little surprised at her reception. She doubted he was always like that... but what if he was?
She was sure she'd be in for an interesting year..

She heaved a sigh of relief when the Ravenclaw went in, but he had said at LEAST one.. she figured she could could come in as well. She'd only been meaning to say hello. She could wait for the other two to finish their discussion if it was important.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Cadence had decided this was a new year. Most of these professors wouldn't even remember she'd destroyed the Hufflepuff Common Room, and after being homeschooled (if you could even call it that... more like self-schooled) for two years, she was going to take advantage of having real professors as much as possible. The first task on her check list was to go to the office of each professor of each class she was taking and introduce herself. So, here she was outside Professor Kade's office, the new (or so she thinks) charms professor.

Before she knocked on the door, she took a quick inventory herself. Her uniform was in perfect condition, hair sleek and shiny, no food in her teeth, makeup was very conservatively done... just enough to bring out the golds and browns in her eyes.

She knocked on the door, but it sounded like he was already with another student. That was fine; Cadence would wait. She stood a little away from the door so she wouldn't look she had been eaves dropping whenever the current occupants opened the door.

Sidney is surprised when the other girl just goes in. She thought Professor Kade had asked for only one student at a time. Well, more like ordered. Things aren't like Sidney thought they would be at Hogwarts. While she waits, Sidney pulls some items out of her robes pockets. Two chocoballs and one Pepper Imp, I guess that's enough sugar to give Professor Kade a little boost. The Pepper Imp should wake him up. I'll offer them to him when I go in. I hope he doesn't think I'm trying to bribe him. Boy, I never thought getting the to know the professors would be sooo... ackward.

Jason walked in on a two other hufflepuffs already seated in the room. He took a look around the room. It kinda looked like a humungous booby trap. He walked up near the two Hufflepuffs. Still conscious. He politely said 'Is this Professor Kade's Office? Actually i'm new here and don't know much!' with a smile on his face. He had always been taught to be nice with ladies.

Cadence looked up at the younger boy who was asking her a question. "Yes, this is Professor Kade's office." she replied, smiling at him. She wasn't really sure what else to say...

Sidney looks up and smiles at the boy. "I'm new here too. This is my first term. My name is Sidney." She would offer to boy a piece of candy, but she only had three, and Professor Kade needed them more. "There's a Ravenclaw Prefect and someone else in there with him now. Kade's kinda... he didn't act like he was in too good a mood." How do you explain a professor roaring at everyone that someone better get in his office now. I always thought professors were suppose to be cheerful and eager to help you. Not to mention awake during the day.

Nina walked nervously up to the Charm's professor's office door and knocked. Hopefully she doesn't make a fool of herself and doesn't come across as annoying. By the looks of the sign, he looks like he could be easily annoyed by first years..

Jason said Thank you and smiled back at the girl. He just couldn't find another way to further the conversation. Just then he heard another voice.

Hi Sidney said Jason. I'm Jason and mighty pleased to meet you. I've been scared out of my wits. I have no clue which subjects i want to opt for. So i'm just going around and talking to the professor's. I hope they can help. Jason was real fidgety. He kept playing with his open shoelaces while he was talking to her. Which house are you in?

"I know what you mean. Everything is so different than what I thought it would be. I"m in Hufflepuff house, the unlucky house. The three students who were killed last term came from my house. After Headmaster Tate's speech at the opening feast, I feel like I've got a target on my back. I hope he was just exagerating things."

Ohh! How come i know nothing about this? I really need to pay more attention. I feel so lonely here. Nobody talks to newbies first. And ever since i told people that i used to live in India. People started ignoring me more. Jason had almost lost control of his emotions. He was almost on the verge of crying. He felt neglected and hurt by everybody.

Wondering who this professor was that had the same initials as he did, JD wanted to meet him. Not having heard what the initials stood for, he wondered if he had the same name as he himself did.

How can some parents be so stupid! Kids have to live with that name for the rest of their lives!

Knocking on the door, JD steps back to wait.

JD poked his head out the door, "Alrighty, next three in line, in you come!" he ushered the two Hufflepuffs and a Gryffindor inside.

Jack hurried down to Kade's office, running up to the door and knocking right away. When he didn't answer, he figured he was probably with other people, so he walked over to a bench and sat down, pulling the frog out of his bag. It STILL had two heads and five arms. Poor little fella.

"Don't worry, Professor Kade will fix you before Jasmine even notices you're gone," he assured the anphibian plushie. He still had no idea what he had done to create such a mess...let alone what seemed to be a PERMANENT mess.

He just hoped Kade didn't ask for specifics about how it happened...how embarrassing would it be to tell him that he had been playing make believe with his duplicates and he had gotten too excited and messed up...somewhere?

Looking his usual unkempt self, JD poked his head out the door, "Okay all, Boys, Girl, in you come. Be warned, I make no apologies for my mess. Just please don't mess with my mess. It's an organized mess."

He held the door open wide and waved them in.

Looking up as the professor poked his head out the door inviting them in, JD stands up from his position he had taken on the floor. Brushing himself off, he smiles and enters into the office.

Kellen walked down the hall with all the enthusiasm of a condemned man. Yes, he'd perhaps rushed his homework a bit before handing it in - a bit - but he hadn't thought there would be anything worth a summons over. Which is what the owl had not-so-politely delivered to him at the breakfast table this morning.


And bring him he had. Sure, it was his fault he hadn't copied his homework onto a new sheet of parchment, but who'd put the comments there in the first place? Sabel. He glanced over at the other boy and managed a smile despite his mood. At least this was his first negative brush with a teacher. Sabel was going make himself public enemy before winter break hit.

They reached Kade's office and Kellen knocked twice before sitting on one of the benches. He finally said, "Maybe you should leave most of the talking to me, yeah? After all, I was the one who handed it in without fixing it."
