You walk along the Hallway and the Moving Staircases, you see a large portrait that you don't quite recall being there before. The portrait is an enchanted image of people talking and lounging about in a room full of comfortable furniture.
Upon close examination, it would appear that the portrait seems to be hiding a secret of some sort amidst the painted laughter and smiles. But this castle is full of secrets to begin with and full of secrets that really aren't secrets at all, so it's easy to dismiss this portrait as something odd, but nothing more.
Or is there more to this portrait than meets the eye?
In truth, this portrait serves as the doorway to the Prefects' Lounge and is accessible only to the Prefects of each House. The portrait and the people in it will never divulge its secret, though will relay messages to those inside - if there's anyone inside - in the event of an emergency.

Remí had plenty of that. It had taken years to find Alessia and he had watched and waited until the perfect time.
Of course he had underestimated the kids of Hogwarts but that was a minor glitch in his plan.
Now all he had to do was get rid of this very persistent professor and he would be home free. It didn't occur to him that by doing that, it was likely to anger the students even more.
Come on.
Just a little closer.

As soon as the man stood outside his door, he was going to kick the living crap out of it.

Poo.
Didn't anyone understand that a beautiful, gorgeous ghost like Myrtle needed her beauty rest? After eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeverything that had happened with those silly ugly merpeople, she deserved a proper holiday.
But there had been soooooooo many noises. Myrtle had slipped up the pipes moving uuuuuuuuuuuuup the school as it became louder and louder.
Instead of wailing like she normally liked to, Myrtle popped her head up in the loo and blinked through her giant ghostly glasses at the man standing on her seat and -gasp!- swinging on her pipes!
You do NOT just SWING on someone's PIPES without asking!
She bubbled to the surface of the loo water and rushed up his leg, her wail beginning and growing louder just as she reached the hanging man's ears.
"BOoooooooooooooooooOoooooooooohoOOooooooooooooooooOooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOO I didn't Saaaaaaaaaaaaay you could touch myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy pipes!"

Just as he was getting ready to give the door a good kick. A god awful sound started from underneath him and then he felt a rush of cold run up his leg and then...
"Ugh." Remí gave a small startled gasp and one hand slipped off the pipes as he looked into the eyes of the ugliest girl he had ever seen. Merlin's bearded dragon no wonder one she was a ghost.
Now that his cover was blown Remí fired a blasting curse at the professor but it missed and hit the mirror behind him. Letting go of the pipe, he dropped to the floor and kicked the door open.
Peeking around the door, Remí pointed his wand and fired off another round of purple flames before moving out of the cubicle.

The cubicle door exploded outwards and then the mirror behind Ethan smashed into pieces. The professor dodged to one side and as those pesky purple flames came towards him again, it was his turn to duck into a cubicle, just barely missing the flames.
Ethan flicked his wand at the toilet and the ancient porcelain ripped itself free of the ground and he levitated it over his head and let it go, flinging it at Remi, whom Ethan could see quite clearly in the reflection of a piece of the cracked mirror, still stuck to the wall.
He followed the toilet, darting out and flicking a confundus at the man.

Nooooooooooo. She was NOT ugh! Myrtle was soooooooooooo beautiful that she was TOO beautiful to live. Her wail got an octave louder and she wafted into the next cubicle just as one of her PRECIOUS THRONES got stolen and flung!
"BOOoooOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo HOooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOoooo!" She rushed at the sinks and the taps all turned on, water spilling everywhere from the taps and from the hole in the ground where the loo had been connected a moment ago.
She floated around wailing and crying, her pimply, bespectacled face puffing up as her pigtails floated out behind her.
"Baad! Bad Slytherin!" She wailed at the professor. "Baaad baaaad... pretty man!" She stopped whirling around and started to bat her ghostly eyelashes at Remí, ignoring the professor and the rushing water.
Well hellooooooooooo.

A toilet?
The man was throwing a toilet at him? Now this was starting to get ridiculous. Remí ducked underneath the oncoming loo and rushed forwards straight smack bang into the man's confundus charm.
He skidded to a stop and blinked a few times. What was he doing here? In a bathroom of all places?
Had he been using the toilet? And why was the place all smashed up?
Remí shook his head trying to clear the fog that was clouding his brain. Was the man in the cubicle the reason why he was here? Yes he was. His brain was clearing a little, just enough for Remí to jump on the man.
Now that he had him pinned, he was unsure of what he was supposed to do now. So he did the first thing that came to him. He started tickling the professor.

Next thing he knew, Truebridge was on his back and his back was wet from water that was suddenly flooding the sinks and spilling onto the floor. He vaguely heard Myrtle telling them off but when you are being tickled by a mass murdering, Lupa-loving, fake-bartender, its a little hard to focus on a sad and creepy little ghost.
Not able to bring his wand to bear because of the close quarters and the...he wasn't ticklish, but the fact that the other man was TOUCHING him was unsettling all the same, Ethan brought his arm back and then punched Remi in the nose.
It wasn't quite as satisfying as punching Tate, but it was up there.

OW!!!
His head jerked back from the punch and blood spurted from his nose but it had done the trick. The charm broke from that hard smack in the face and Remí shook his head slightly and then grinned at the man underneath him.
"Thanks" he grunted and then pulled back his own fist and swung with all his might, right into professor's face hitting him squarely on the jaw.

Ethan's jaw made a cracking noise and he stumbled to his feet, half helped by the force of the punch. No more of that. As he stood up his head went through the body of that ridiculous ghost.
... Brain... freeze...
He blinked and threw a few stunners as he backed up, trying to get out of the... well... of the ghost.

Crouching in the tunnel!hole thing, Madiison peered into the bathroom and her first reaction was WHY DID THE PREFECTS GET SUCH GOOD BATHROOMS?! The red head pouted, quite without knowing it. Now, she was in no way suggesting that the bathrooms the rest of the students had were BAD or anything but ... just ... Hmph.
Okay, yes, Madiison, her mind seemed to be telling her, we understand that Hogwarts hurt you because prefects had better bathrooms than you but can we please MOVE ON?!
Oh, right.
Big, blue-gray eyes scanned the room and then they widened. THAT was Moaning Myrtle? And then they widened even further. Professor Truebridge was ... frozen ... sort of ...

No don't even go there.
Gah! Again with the stunners! Putting up his shield, Remí blocked the onslaught and then went from defense straight into attack by pointing his wand at the professor and firing a couple of arrows from his wand.
And then out of nowhere a flash of red light whizzed inches from his face, Remí stepped back and turned slightly keeping the professor in his line of sight and the new comer. Ah yes he would need some leverage when he left here and so he cast the full body bind at her.

Okay, so obviously that didn't work.
Madiison wanted to smack herself for giving her position away, not that she was HIDING, per say, but she would have preferred it if the man hadn't noticed her crouching in the hole.
A screeching wail caused Madiison to let her guard down and cover her ears. Oh, MERLIN. MYRTLE. If that stunning spell hadn't drawn attention to Di, Myrtle's wail certainly had. Di wanted to bang her head against something. She would have too, if she hadn't been to concerned about her DYING in the process.
But, well, apparently she needn't have worried.
Because while Myrtle told her to go away, SOMEBODY -glare at Remi- had decided to snatch away her ability to move. She had been hit by a full body bind curse.
Perfect.
If she lived through this, she was going to KILL Myrtle.
Again.
She just had to figure out how to kill ghosts first.

If there was one thing that was NOT ALLOWED, it was messing with Ethan's wand. He clenched his jaw, ignoring the crack as Remi punched him again, and that moment that the man glanced over at the Ravenclaw, Ethan pulled his arm free, the arrow ripping through, fletching passing through his skin and launched himself, head to the chest of the other man and tackling him, ignoring the wand pointed his way and the fact that he couldn't clench his hand at all as he barrelled into the other man and they both went flying into the still over-flowing sinks.

And then he was flying through the air.
Did this guy used to wrestle trolls or something? He was a very physical person and quite frankly Remí had, had enough of rolling around on the floor. And a wet dirty floor at that.
The moment they hit the floor, Remí rolled away from the crazy professor and got back to his feet a little unsteadily and pointed his wand the man once again.
"I suggest you stay down. You are unarmed and as you can see I am not."

If Madiison still had the ability to scream, she would have. Because the scene before her was scream-worthy. One, she had just noticed that Professor!Knight had an ARROW stuck on his shoulder - or somewhere around there, Di couldn't quite see properly- second, the man was FLUSHING HIS WAND DOWN A TOILET -yeah, they were doomed. Mom, dad, Adrian, Damian, Kiki, I love you all. You too grandmother, although you aren't my most favourite person in the whole wide world- and then THIRDLY, he was looking at HER. She was to be his hostage. Or she was going to die, all alone, in this hole.
One of the two.
Neither were preferable.
Well, maybe the hostage one was. At least she had a chance to be resc- WHAT TH-
Professor Truebridge had thrown himself at Remi, head first.
And ... OH MERLIN, so much blood.

Remi did a lot of it. Ethan wasn't planning on getting into a discussion, instead he stretched good hand out and concentrated on the arrow that had been in his forearm a moment ago. It worked free from the cubicle and flew into his outstretched fingers.
Maybe it would be a final act of defiance, but Ethan lunged forward and with the last of his energy, he stabbed the stupid arrow through the man's leg, in the fleshy part of his calf, the downward motion and the momentum, along with the sharp edge of the arrow, pushing the arrow head deep into the flesh.
Unarmed?
We think not.
... okay maybe he was techincally unarmed now since the arrow was a little stuck.
Worth it though. Revenge for flushing Michelle.

Tate sort of rolled through the hole, somehow managing not to get wedged at his shoulders. He hit the floor still rolling and generally made it back to his feet in one piece.
Generally.
"Remi, is it?" He trained his wand on the man and tried not to look like that little jaunt had winded him slightly. He wasn't 23 anymore, that much was sure. "Can we hold off murdering my students and staff and chat a moment?"

This man was insane!
And now he was going to die!
He raised his wand once again when a movement caught his attention and he turned towards the headmaster.
Geez!! Was he ever going to get to kill someone around here?
"Why do I care about what you have to say?" Remí backed up a little bringing himself closer to the girl on the floor.
